Rural revitalization fundamentally depends on human capital development and deployment. Although China’s efforts in recruiting and developing rural talent have achieved certain progress in recent years, significant challenges persist that require urgent attention. These challenges include inefficient talent attraction channels, incomplete training mechanisms, unfavorable retention environments, and inadequate utilization platforms. Based on a systematic and comprehensive review of the current state of rural talent recruitment and development in China, this paper provides an in-depth analysis of the primary problems and their underlying causes from multiple perspectives. Furthermore, it proposes targeted policy recommendations from four interconnected dimensions: improving talent attraction mechanisms, strengthening training systems, optimizing retention environments, and building utilization platforms. This research aims to provide theoretical references and practical guidance for comprehensively promoting rural talent revitalization and supporting the broader rural revitalization strategy
Enhancing Youth Engagement with IBM SkillsBuild Platform in Singapore: A User-Centered Analysis
With the rapid development of digital economy, digital literacy and professional skills have become essential for youth employment and career development. IBM Singapore, in collaboration with RMIT, launched the SkillsBuild platform to provide free high-quality digital and professional skill training for young people. However, the platform is facing the challenge of low youth engagement. This paper aims to explore effective strategies to improve youth participation in IBM SkillsBuild. Through PESTLE analysis, this study examines external business factors influencing youth engagement; identifies and analyzes key stakeholders using Mendelow’s Power-Interest Grid; determines polytechnic students (17-21 years old) as the target user group based on potential user group analysis; constructs a user persona and empathy map through primary research (semi-structured interviews with three polytechnic students); and finally defines the core problem and proposes a “How Might We” question to guide subsequent solution development. The research findings indicate that the low engagement of youth in SkillsBuild is mainly due to insufficient platform visibility, lack of interactivity, and unclear connection between courses and career prospects. This study provides a theoretical and practical basis for IBM Singapore to optimize the SkillsBuild platform and enhance youth engagement, which also has reference significance for similar online learning platform operation
The Efficiency of Intellectual Capital Value Creation and Trade Credit Financing—Evidence from China A-Shares Listed Companies
Intellectual capital, as a resource capable of creating value and enhancing corporate competitiveness, has been proven by existing research to possess financing capabilities from both equity financing and debt financing perspectives. However, no studies have yet focused on whether it may affect corporate trade credit financing. This paper utilizes a sample of A-share listed companies from 2011 to 2020, and employs a panel regression model to investigate the impact of the value creation efficiency of intellectual capital on trade credit financing. The findings suggest that: (1) the overall intellectual capital value creation efficiency in an enterprise facilitates the acquisition of trade credit financing. Upon further examination of human capital, structural capital and relational capital respectively, it is found that only the value creation efficiency of structural capital and relational capital exerts a positive impact on trade credit financing, whereas no significant relationship exists between human capital value creation efficiency and trade credit financing; (2) The attention of analysts and shareholdings of institutional investors have a significant negative regulatory effect on the impact of the overall intellectual capital and relational capital value creation efficiency on trade credit financing; (3) Further research indicates that the effect of intellectual capital value creation efficiency on trade credit financing is significantly heterogeneous under the influence of financing constraint degree, property right nature and market position, and property right nature and market position can play a synergistic role. In other words, the promoting effect of value creation efficiency of overall intellectual capital, human capital, structural capital and relational capital on trade credit financing is more significant in enterprises with high financing constraints. Relational capital has effects only in state-owned and highly positioned companies, while structural capital is influential only in non-state-owned companies with lower market positioning. This paper contributes empirical evidence to the factors influencing trade credit financing, enriches the research on the economic consequences of the value creation efficiency of enterprise intellectual capital, and provides a theoretical foundation for enterprises and stakeholders to enhance their emphasis on intellectual capital, a critical resource
A Study on the Cognition-Affect-Behavior Interaction of Non-Native Speakers from the Perspective of Sociocultural Theory: Affect Construction in English Debating Through the Lens of Dramatic Events
Framed by Sociocultural Theory (SCT), this study focuses on the context of British Parliamentary (BP) English Debate, adopts a narrative-oriented interpretative case study paradigm, and explores how the affective experiences of non-native English speakers in BP English Debate are triggered by dramatic events and guide their interactive development of cognition, affect and behavior, through video recording and semi-structured interviews. The participants are 8 English major students (4 core interviewees), all with one year of debating experience and an English proficiency of Level B2 or above. This study identifies six core types of dramatic events and three social interaction mediation paths, and reveals the differentiated interactive development trajectories of the four learners: cognitive reconstruction under social support, cognitive expansion driven by affective deepening, metacognitive awakening triggered by accumulated frustration, and strategy construction under the balance of affective tension. The study confirms that affect is not an isolated psychological response, but a core mediator constructed and regulated in social interaction that drives second language development. This study provides empirical evidence for the affective mediation mechanism to supplement Sociocultural Theory, enriches the process-oriented analytical perspective of second language affect research, and offers practical references for the optimization of English debate teaching and second language writing teaching
Intergenerational Communication Strategies for the Young-Oriented Expression of Traditional Ethnic Minority Sports Culture
Traditional ethnic minority sports culture is an essential part of China’s excellent traditional culture, which embodies and spiritual cores of various ethnic groups. Amidst the backdrop of cultural diversification and the evolution of communication media, the inheritance of this culture faces challenges such as a generational audience gap and outdated forms of expression. This study employs a literature review, questionnaire surveys, and in-depth interviews to investigate the youth demographic. The findings reveal that young people have a shallow understanding but high recognition and strong willingness to participate in relation to traditional ethnic minority sports culture. Focusing on young-oriented expression, this research proposes strategies involving content reshaping, channel synergy, and scenario construction. These strategies aim to help traditional ethnic minority sports culture transcend generational barriers and achieve effective intergenerational communication and inheritance
An Exploration of the Cultural Connotations of Grape Patterns in Tang Dynasty Auspicious Beast Mirrors
Grapes, also known as Putaos and Putao, have various species. Grapes were introduced into China during the Han Dynasty from the Western Regions. They are an imported plant brought back by Zhang Qian from the Western Regions and were widely cultivated during the Northern Dynasties, becoming a raw material for winemaking. As decorative motifs, they were also extensively reintroduced. This paper first traces the origins of grape patterns and provides an overview of their development. Based on a review of the historical and cultural background of their emergence, it analyzes in detail the various applications and specific meanings symbolized by grape patterns in the Tang Dynasty; secondly, it studies the style of Tang Dynasty auspicious beast grape mirrors, interpreting the cultural significance behind them; finally, it summarizes the influence of Tang Dynasty auspicious beast grape mirrors on later decorative patterns

Adaptive education is not only beneficial for facilitating the successful role transition of new vocational college students and their rapid integration into university life, leading to healthy personal and professional development, but it also enhances the quality of talent cultivation in vocational institutions. Considering the unique origins and developmental needs of these students, the implementation of adaptive education for new vocational college students should include timely psychological adaptation and mental health guidance. This encompasses ideological and political education as a primary approach to ideological guidance. Additionally, leveraging the dormitory environment as an educational platform ensures the effectiveness of residential education. The use of online media platforms is also crucial for providing effective educational guidance in the digital realm
Apple Damage Detection Using Ethylene Gas Sensors
To improve the automation and accuracy of postharvest apple quality grading and damage detection, and to overcome the inherent limitations of conventional manual inspection methods—most notably strong subjectivity, low operational efficiency, and the lack of support for online monitoring—this study develops an intelligent apple damage detection platform based on ethylene gas sensors. On this basis, a damage level identification approach is proposed that exploits the dynamic characteristics of ethylene concentration.Apples of the same harvest season (Red Fuji) were selected as experimental samples and subjected to three treatments: undamaged, mildly damaged, and severely damaged. Ethylene concentration dynamics were continuously monitored over a five-day period under controlled temperature and humidity conditions. The results indicate that both the absolute levels and growth rates of ethylene concentration differ significantly across damage categories. Moreover, the average relative growth rate of ethylene concentration increases monotonically with the severity of damage.Using the ethylene concentration growth rate as a key feature, a support vector machine (SVM) classification model was constructed to identify apple damage levels, and its performance was systematically compared with that of a recognition method based on image shape features. The experimental results demonstrate that, when ethylene growth rate features are employed, the SVM model achieves consistently high classification accuracy across multiple kernel functions. Among these, the radial basis function kernel exhibits the best performance, with an average recognition accuracy exceeding 97%, substantially outperforming approaches that rely solely on image-based features.Overall, the findings provide strong evidence that apple internal damage can be identified with high precision by leveraging the dynamic behavior of ethylene concentration. This study thus offers a feasible and accurate solution for online postharvest apple quality monitoring and grading, and provides a valuable reference for nondestructive internal damage detection in agricultural products
Promotion Status and Development Strategies of Ultimate Frisbee in Shandong Universities
With the continuous integration of emerging participatory sports into university physical education systems, Ultimate Frisbee has gradually become an important component of both curricular and extracurricular sports activities in higher education, due to its strong emphasis on self-officiation, low entry barriers, and distinctive community culture. This study aims to systematically examine the promotion status of Ultimate Frisbee in universities across Shandong Province, identify structural constraints, and explore key influencing factors affecting its development. Using a stratified sample of universities of different types and regions in Shandong, this research adopts a mixed-methods approach, including questionnaire surveys, in-depth interviews, field observations, and bibliometric and policy text analysis. Quantitative data are analyzed through descriptive statistics, comparative analysis, and regression models. The findings indicate that the overall promotion level of Ultimate Frisbee in Shandong universities remains uneven. Significant differences are observed in course coverage and club penetration across different institutional types, while participation in competitions and the level of professional instruction exert a significant influence on promotion outcomes. In addition, insufficient field resources, unstable financial support, and the lack of systematic safety and rules education have emerged as major constraints on sustainable development. Based on these findings, this study proposes differentiated development strategies focusing on curriculum institutionalization, club governance optimization, competition system improvement, support mechanism enhancement, and coordinated communication, providing empirical evidence for the reform of university physical education and the governance of emerging sports programs
Board Decision-making Logic, Equity Nature, and Bank Environmental Lending
This article explores the impact of bank governance on bank environmental lending, using a manually collected sample of China’s city commercial banks from 2008 to 2018. The empirical results show that government ownership can promote bank environmental lending and a board of directors with a preference for social logic can positively moderate the relationship between them. In addition, the positive moderating effect is more pronounced in banks with state-owned shareholders as the largest shareholder and banks located in provincial capital cities. This paper is beneficial for expanding the understanding of the interaction between equity nature and board decision-making process in bank governance
