Engineering Literacy Enlightenment Based on Real Construction Situations: Integrated Teaching Mode Exploration for Introduction to Architecture

Aiming at the problems of outdated knowledge system, fragmented subject cognition and insufficient engineering practice of civil engineering students in applied undergraduate colleges, this paper takes the curriculum reform of “Introduction to Architecture” as an example to explore the integrated teaching mode of “teaching-learning-doing-creating” under the background of new engineering. Based on the concept of OBE, this model breaks through the limitations of traditional single-disciplinary teaching. Through the collaborative education of civil engineering, architecture and art design, an interdisciplinary curriculum system combining theoretical cognition and whole process simulation project practice is constructed. By introducing situational learning theory and CDIO concept, students are immersed in real engineering scenarios covering scheme design, structural construction and decoration. Practice has proved that this model effectively alleviates the fragmented learning state of students, greatly improves students’ engineering literacy, interdisciplinary collaboration awareness and ability to solve complex engineering problems, and provides a reference for cultivating compound civil engineering talents

Pathways and Countermeasures for Prevention and Control of New Pollutants

In recent years, the harmfulness of new pollutants has attracted increasing attention from all sectors of society. In May 2022, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the “Action Plan for the Control of New Pollutants”, which takes precise pollution control, scientific pollution control, and lawful pollution control as the working principles. By 2025, complete the screening of chemical substance environmental risk assessment, dynamically release the list of key controlled new pollutants, and gradually establish and improve the regulatory system and management mechanism for toxic and harmful chemical substance environmental risk management. However, in the existing legislative system for chemical management, China mainly focuses on safety production and control of conventional pollutants, while the management of emerging pollutants appears relatively weak, lacking sufficient attention and effective governance measures. This legislative situation to some extent limits the effective promotion of the treatment of new pollutants. This article aims to establish the legislative value of “new pollutant control” from a legal perspective, explore its underlying connotations, and explain the necessity of establishing a legal system for new pollutant control. Based on existing laws, administrative regulations, and local government rules, analyze the situation of “new pollutant treatment” and obtain the application of governance laws in different regions. Based on other countries and regions’ legal documents on “new pollutant control”, summarize the reasons for the current confusion in “new pollutant control”, and connect it with the reasons for environmental tort liability attribution in the Civil Code, in order to establish a complete legal system for “new pollutant control”

Reverse Reconstruction and Efficacy Evaluation of Dual-Track Scoring Paths in Competitive Reality Shows

Since the premiere of “Dancing with the Stars,” the tension between expert judging and public voting has remained the core contradiction within the competitive reality show evaluation system. This study constructs a focused quantitative framework to reconstruct unobservable voting distributions and evaluate the efficacy of different scoring “paths.” Firstly, we developed a fan vote inversion model based on multiple linear regression to address the challenge of hidden variables. By mathematically tracing elimination sequences across 34 seasons, the model identifies the regression coefficient of judges’ scores as a dominant predictor, achieving a 79.65% accuracy rate in historical backtesting. Secondly, we conducted a comparative simulation between the “Ranking Legitimacy Path” and the “Percentage Weighting Path.” Our findings indicate that while the two paths achieve consensus in 82% of cases, the percentage path triggers a significant “traffic shield effect” under extreme polarization. Specifically, when the skewness of fan votes exceeds critical thresholds, the continuous nature of percentage weighting allows popularity to systematically override technical performance, leading to structural ranking inversions that the discrete ranking method effectively mitigates

Disclosing and Disappearing: The Relationship between Self-disclosure and Intentions to Ghost

Two studies conducted here to test the relationship between the level of self-disclosure and ghosting intentions. Ghosting, the act of terminating a relationship by abruptly cutting off all communication. Although ghosting has become a common dissolution strategy across digital communication environments, little is known about how personality is relate to intention to ghost and the likelihood of engaging in ghosting behavior. The present research focuses on self-disclosure, a interpersonal process that reflects how openly individuals share personal information. We also examines how disclosure level contribute to ghosting behaviors and frequency. Study’s participants focus on emerging adults. Across both studies, self-disclosure can be seen as a predictor for ghosting intentions. However the association between ghosting behavior was unsure, there was a mix result

Research and Design of Reactor Temperature Control System Based on RBF Neural Network

Aiming at the time-varying, nonlinear and large time-delay problems of chemical reactor temperature control systems, this study focuses on the continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) for aniline hydrogenation to cyclohexylamine, and conducted modeling, advanced control algorithm design and simulation verification of the temperature control system. The temperature control mathematical model was established by fitting process data with Aspen software and parameter identification via MATLAB System Identification Toolbox. Cascade control schemes of traditional PID, BP neural network PID and LPSO-RBF-PID were designed, and their control performances were compared through Simulink simulation. Results show that the proposed control scheme has significantly better anti-interference ability than traditional ones, providing an effective technical solution for precise temperature control of industrial reactors

Policy Uncertainty and Enterprise Investment Location Choice in the Context of Domestic Market Integration

Against the backdrop of global economic volatility and China’s push for a unified national market, domestic market integration has emerged as a key driver reshaping the investment environment for enterprises. Simultaneously, policy uncertainty—both domestic and international—has become a critical factor influencing firms’ strategic location decisions. This study examines the impact of policy uncertainty on enterprises’ investment location choices (intra-provincial investment, inter-provincial investment, and outward foreign direct investment) under the context of domestic market integration. Using data from Chinese A-share listed companies spanning 2010 to 2020, we employ multinomial logit models to test direct effects, moderating mechanisms, and heterogeneous impacts. The results reveal that domestic market integration significantly promotes inter-provincial investment, while internal policy uncertainty strengthens this tendency by encouraging risk diversification. External policy uncertainty, however, weakens the positive link between market integration and outward foreign direct investment, prompting enterprises to shift toward domestic inter-provincial investment. Heterogeneity analysis indicates that non-state-owned enterprises, large-scale firms, and those in eastern regions are more sensitive to these dynamics. Mechanism tests confirm that resource allocation efficiency, financing constraints, and technological innovation mediate the relationship between market integration, policy uncertainty, and investment location choice. Economic consequence analysis shows that inter-provincial investment and outward foreign direct investment both enhance enterprise performance (return on assets and total factor productivity) and contribute to regional economic development, with stronger effects in high-integration regions. These findings provide insights for enterprises to optimize investment strategies amid policy volatility and for governments to formulate policies promoting market integration and stable investment environments.Domestic Market Integratio

An Analysis of Narrative Texts in Senior High School English Textbooks from the Perspective of the Transitivity System

This study aims to explore the distribution of transitivity processes in narrative texts of PEP senior high school English textbooks, their interaction with the “form-function-theme” three-dimensional model, and effective teaching strategy transformation. Using narrative texts as the corpus, it conducts transitivity annotation and statistical analysis. Results show material processes dominate, mental processes facilitate character portrayal, and relational processes define cultural concepts, with different processes playing distinct roles in disaster, growth and culture-themed texts. The study verifies the applicability of Halliday’s transitivity theory, establishes a systematic analytical framework, and proposes operable teaching strategies. It also notes the limited sample size, suggesting future research expand the corpus and integrate other linguistic theories for more comprehensive teaching tools

Exploration and Practice of Transforming Pilot-Scale R&D Achievements into Teaching Projects in Higher Vocational Colleges

Under the policy orientation of the high-end and intelligent transformation of the manufacturing industry and the integration of production and education, pilot-scale R&D achievements, as key intermediate products of technology industrialization, possess both technological innovation and practical applicability, which are highly consistent with the training objectives for technical and skilled talents in higher vocational colleges. Based on literature research and practical exploration, this paper sorts out the core value and existing dilemmas of transforming pilot-scale achievements, constructs a full-chain transformation path including three-dimensional screening, four-step reconstruction, school-enterprise collaboration, and multi-dimensional evaluation, and verifies the feasibility of the path with cases in fields such as industrial robots, intelligent production lines, and digital twins. The research shows that this transformation mode can effectively solve the problems of backward teaching resources and disconnection between production and education in higher vocational education, providing practical reference for improving talent training quality and deepening school-enterprise cooperation

Research on an Evaluation System for Local Universities Serving High-Quality Development of Local Economies

As a result of the recent changes in regional development patterns, local universities have developed deeper connections with their local economies and regional societies. In comparison to earlier forms of interaction between universities and their communities, this relationship has evolved from a surface or shallow level to become much more deeply integrated with both economic and social development. Traditional evaluation methods, while helpful, have significant limitations regarding accurately measuring the contributions made through service by the university to its respective community. The primary objective of this research project is to fulfil this urgent or practical need through a comprehensive multidimensional model that evaluates universities based upon contributions, fit, and ability for growth. The intent of this model is not to focus solely on university research outputs or on graduate numbers; rather, it will evaluate in more depth the effectiveness and potential contributions of the university in the principal areas of human resource development, technological innovation, and cultural ecological development in building high-quality regional development. The ultimate outcome of this research will be to develop a scientifically based tool for evaluating and measuring both the diagnostic and growth potential of universities within their respective communities
