Artificial intelligence can be applied in Biomedicine and Laboratory Medicine. From scientific publications

    No full text
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has spread widely in many fields of science and medicine, including laboratory medicine. Although it seems clear that the analytical and post-analytical phases may be the most important areas of application in laboratory medicine. Nowadays, even in Laboratory Medicine, new opportunities have opened up to apply the benefits of AI in many manual labor-intensive activities that belong to the pre-analytical field, a phase which is essentially characterized by in- creased vulnerability and higher risk. of mistakes. These potential applications include increasing the appropriateness of the re- quester instruction for the type of test (with computerized physician order entry tools or request management tools), improved sample collection (using active patient recognition, automated labeling of the sample, vein recognition and blood collection as- sistance, along with automated blood collection), more efficient sample transport (facilitated by the use of transport systems in- cluding drones, and monitored with smart blood tubes or blood recorders data), systematic assessment of sample quality (by measuring serum indices, filling volume or to detect sample coagulation), speeding up the accuracy of error detection in the ana- lytical phase of laboratory work. Therefore, this paper summarizes opinion and scientific articles on the use of AI aiming to dis- cuss and clarify the state of the and some future possibilities of AI in the pre-analytical phase

The Impact of Digital Marketing and Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the Development of the Market in Kosovo

    No full text
In the age of advanced technology, particularly in the third millennium, digital marketing and artificial intelligence (AI) play a crucial role in transforming advertising methods and market development. The use of social networks, websites, and advertisements targeted by promoters and users has managed to create a very exclusive and attractive image for consumers in Kosovo as well. The online shopping experience and the presentation of products and services in a contained and appealing manner have made this component gain a more dispersed access in the Kosovo market. This paper examines the impact of these technologies on market development in Kosovo by analyzing key digital marketing techniques and the role of AI in optimizing these strategies. The paper will use a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods for data collection and analysis, including interviews with marketing managers and consumer surveys. This study aims to provide a deep understanding of the effectiveness and challenges of these technologies in the Kosovar market. The expected results indicate a significant improvement in marketing campaigns and the identification of opportunities for further enhancement

    No full text
Disinformation or misleading of information is a phenomenon that has become increasingly prevalent on social media, effecting in a meaningful way consumer behavior. Considering that the usage of social media is increasing day-to-day and most of the brand nowadays have created an identity in at least one social media platform, this paper aims to analyze the effect that disinformation has in consumer decision-making, brand perception and awareness, and consumer credibility. This research is based on secondary data analysis, based in recent statistics from credible sources and case studies, focused especially in cognitive and self –affective drivers that effect the perception of consumers about a brand based on false beliefs. Even though social media has become a big facilitator to connect consumers with great numbers of brands simultaneously, it has some negative effects and some risks while applying it as a part of the digital marketing tactic. One of the negative effects is the fast spreading of disinformation. The paper concludes that fake reviews, manipulated content and incorrect affirmation have an amount of significant effect how consumers become aware of a brand and how the loyalty process is affected by this group of references. The increase of disinformation can have negative effect on brand reputations and influence buyers’ decision making. Therefore, it is important for businesses to have in consideration disinformation and social media platforms as a variable with significant effect in their marketing strategies and to discover some tactics how to reduce the effects of disinformation, by recreating consumer credibility, understanding ethical and legal aspects and uphold the credibility of online communication

A Comparative Analysis of the effectiveness of traditional versus modern performance management systems in enhancing employee performance and job satisfaction.

    No full text
There has been a growing shift towards modern performance management systems from traditional ones. However, there is limited empirical evidence comparing the effectiveness of traditional and modern performance management systems. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate and compare the role of traditional and modern performance management systems. An interview survey was conducted among 10 employees in organizations that utilized both types of systems. The findings suggest that conventional performance management focuses on providing incentives, promotions, and punishment rather than encouraging and supporting employees, and this affects the employees\u27 ability to receive continuous feedback. Also, this method brings down morale and causes a loss of self-confidence among employees. However, modern performance management systems allow effective communication regarding specific goals during task management. Also, continuous feedback, goal setting, and OKRs in modern performance management systems prove to be effective strategies for enhancing the shared goals of workers and organizations. Furthermore, the study identifies additional strategies, such as training and development programs, Management by Objectives, and performance conversation systems, as contributors to enhanced employee performance and job satisfaction. This research underscores the need for organizations to reassess their performance management approaches in light of evolving organizational dynamics and employee expectations

The Relationship Between Government Expenditures and Economic Development: An Assessment for Kosovo

    No full text
This study aims to investigate the relationship between government expenditures and GDP in Kosovo from 2009 to 2022. The methods used include econometric analyses of simple OLS linear regression, trend analysis, and Pearson correlation method, using data from the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) and the World Bank to provide empirical evidence on this complex relationship. The findings indicate a weak correlation between government expenditures and economic growth with effects in the short and long term. In the short term, the findings reveal that an increase in expenditures will raise Kosovo\u27s GDP by 4.87%. However, in the long term, it is seen to decrease GDP by 1.66%. The study also performs another OLS analysis excluding the year 2020 due to the significant impact of COVID19 on Kosovo\u27s economy. This analysis provides a significant contribution to the literature on Kosovo\u27s economy and public policie

The Process of Developing Zoning Maps in Kosovo

    No full text
Considering the need for sustainable and integrated planning and development in Kosovo in the transition phase, then this development should be based on local capacities, taking into account the best international experiences, and also this development should be based on the parameters and through them the process should be comprehensive and measurable. The planning process in Kosovo at the central level is regulated by the Law on Spatial Planning No. 04/L 174 of 2013, where according to this law are explained the drafting, approval and implementation of these development documents as foreseen: Spatial Plan of Kosovo, Zonal map of Kosovo and Spatial plans for areas of special interest. In this regard, it is important to harmonize these processes in planning: the connection between the zonal map and other planning; planning to be done in time, planning to be meaningful, to be harmonized with each other, to be based on the best standards and experiences, as well as to ensure the implementation mechanisms
