    Extent to Which School Heads Exhibit the Big Five Personality Dimensions and Its Impact On Their Job Performance∶ Basis in The Formulation of a Program Design

    This study aimed to determine the extent to which school heads exhibit the big five personality dimensions and its impact on their job performance of which result served as basis in the formulation of a program design. The study focused on the “Big Five” personality dimensions. The study made use of the descriptive-correlational research design. With reference to the measurement of the school heads’ personality dimensions, The International Personality Item Pool (IPIP) questionnaire developed by Lewis Goldberg was utilized. The respondents of the study were school heads and teachers of Tanjay City Division. The study utilized weighted mean, Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient, t-test, and chi-square for its statistical tools. The findings revealed that the school heads’ performance was “Very Satisfactory”. School Heads exhibited the “Big Five” personality dimensions at a “High” extent. Teachers and school heads differ significantly in their perceptions as to the latter’s “Big Five” personality dimensions in terms of conscientiousness, emotional stability, openness to experience and extroversion, except in agreeableness wherein no significant difference was found. School Heads’ job performance is significantly related to their “Big Five” personality dimensions except in emotional stability wherein no association was found. School Heads’ performance is significantly related to their profile in terms of age, relevant trainings, supervisory experience and educational qualification. School Heads’ age, sex, relevant trainings, supervisory experience, plantilla position and educational qualifications are significantly related to their “Big Five” personality dimensions

    Academic success of students as a predictor of attitude and perception of Artificial Intelligence (AI)

    In the context of this study, the research problem focuses on proving the relationship between academic success and attitude and perception of AI, as well as determining the predictive value of academic success and the set of predictors (degree of recognition and degree of use of AI) in the degree of manifestation of attitude and perception of AI, and at the end to determine that AI is not only an innovative technological-informatics concept but first of all a psychological one. The research belongs to the type of transversal exploratory studies. The sample in which the study was conducted is a convenience sample of 474 subjects, all university students. The instrument used for collecting, evaluating, and analyzing the structural components of the attitude and perception of AI is the scale for the assessment of the attitude and perception of AI (Osmani, Idrizi & Veseli, 2023). Academic success turned out to be the only predictor from the set of predictors with an explanatory predictive value of the criterion variable of 3.9%. The other two predictors: degree of recognition and degree of use of AI, were shown to have negligible predictive value in explaining AI. The type of private or public educational institution was also verified with negligible predictive value with only 0.1% contribution to explaining the variance of the criterion variable. Correlational analysis proved that academic success does not correlate with the attitude and perception of AI, although the negative correlation raises the need for interpretation

    Addressing Interplay of Oxidative Stress & Inflammation using Nanotechnology

    An imbalance between the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and the reaction of antioxidant proteins is referred to as oxidative stress. On the other hand, inflammation influences various pathological consequences such as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, atherosclerosis, and many others. Inflammation and metabolism are intricately intertwined, considering numerous metabolic and cardiovascular disorders exhibit chronic low-grade inflammation. Despite significant effort over the past few decades to translate antioxidant therapy into clinical practice, the majority of clinical trials utilizing general antioxidant therapy have failed, most likely as a result of a lack of understanding of the redox signaling pathways in health and disease. The effective use of nanocomplex systems as nano-antioxidants using nanotechnology has emerged as a potential path. The intersection of nanotechnologies with molecular biology can function to improve human health by improving the cross-link of oxidative stress and inflammation. However, understanding how to manipulate the substance to determine its function in the body and how the body will respond to this substance is necessary for the transition from laboratory investigations to clinical translation. Therefore, nanotechnology provides an efficient route to address oxidative stress-related diseases by providing tailored antioxidant administration, mitochondria protection, ROS scavenging, and improved diagnostics

The human ribosome, essential for protein synthesis, is implicated in cancer transformation through its interaction with oncoproteins. The review examines various strategies targeting ribosome biogenesis and cancer cell proliferation, including drugs and molecular therapies. It provides an in-depth analysis of ALL, the most common pediatric malignancy, discussing its prevalence, genetic characteristics, and treatment approaches. The review covers recent advancements in ALL classification, risk assessment, and targeted therapies, including tyrosine kinase inhibitors, CAR T-cell therapy, and gene therapy. Special attention is given to ALL in children with Down syndrome and the associated challenges. Therapy can be both palliative and curative.Hydromorphone remains the preferred substance due to its pharmaceutical advantages as a treatment for tumor-related pain. The goal of palliative medicine is to provide the best possible quality of life until death, emphasizing that palliative care should begin as early as possible, not just in the final stages of life. Palliative medicine is often mischaracterized as death medicine. Dental care plays a crucial role, encompassing treatments for conditions such as stomatitis, swallowing difficulties, halitosis, xerostomia, and necrosis of the jaw. By addressing these oral health issues, palliative care can significantly improve the overall well-being of patients undergoing oncology treatment

    Analysis of exergy balance and improvement of exergy efficiency of coal fired steam generator

    This paper presents a detailed exergy balance of the steam generator considered as a surface heat exchanger into which the fuel and air necessary for combustion are introduced. Combustion takes place and so chemical energy associated with the fuel is converted into thermal energy of the combustion gases. These gases, after exchanging heat with the feeding water, at a certain temperature, are released into the atmosphere. This part of the balance is considered as control surface 1. On the other side of the exchanger, is introduced the feeding water which is heated, evaporated and superheated to the relevant parameters required to enter in steam turbine. This balance is considered as a control surface 2. The balance of the whole exchanger is considered as control surface 3. From this analysis is derived the equation for the exergy efficiency of the steam generator

    A good professional musician is achieved simultaneously by developing the ability to recognize music through listening in the form of dictation, thus achieving the development of the musical ear. The subject of solfeggio is fundamental with exercises that are worked on to achieve the development of the musical ear. This subject achieves good results if it is developed through proper literature and working methods. Considering the fact that in Kosovo, there is still no literature in the Albanian language for this subject, it has prompted me to research in other countries. Through the methodology of comparison, musical examples were taken and analyzed to see how they affect the development of the musical ear. These findings with comparisons serve as a basis for the best methods for developing the musical ear, which pave the way for writing proper literature in the Albanian language for the subject of solfeggio

    Reconceptualization of Kosovar Folklore with post modern methods: Rearrangement of Traditional Songs through contemporary means of orchestration and composition

    This article explores the revitalization and re-conceptualization of Kosovar musical folklore through contemporary orchestration and enrichment of traditional songs. The article compares aspects and evolution of traditional music in Kosovo, including adaptation her in different genres such as rock\u27n\u27roll, pop, jazz and electronic music. While very arrangements/adaptations have emerged in recent decades, there is a growing trend towards remodeling and adaptation, instead of enriching their freedom/programmatic aspects through orchestration with postmodern means. A new approach being considered is the cinematic format, taking inspiration from composers like Vangelis, Hans Zimmer, etc., where folklore elements are reflected through massive orchestration, electronic instruments and repetitive minimalist music. While the artists in Europe, especially in northern Europe, have re-conceived aspects of their folklore, this approach that presents traditional folklore on a new postmodern platform is not yet researched with Albanian Folklore in Kosovo. The article analyzes the latest versions of compositions and orchestrations of mountain songs, including instruments such as the couplet, the tambourine and the surla. These songs, composed/orchestrated for Liburn Jupolli Ensemble, they use massive orchestral and electronic arrangements for in deepen the context and narrative of the texts. This approach aims to expand, multiply and strengthen existing folklore instruments Kosovo in a new orchestral format as a means to encourage further use of these instruments and recontextualizing existing songs for new generations. Instead of to redefine the songs, the focus is on re-conceptualizing the orchestration to enrich the material without adapted his identity in a specific style

    Spectral Analysis of Material Treatments and their Impact on Reflectance in Specific Wavelength Regions

    This study investigates the reflectance properties of various material treatments measured using a Hunter Lab spectrophotometer across a wavelength range of 350 to 1050 nm. A white standard was used as a reference, consistently demonstrating high reflectance (90-100%) throughout the spectrum. In contrast, four treated samples exhibited significant light absorption in the visible range, particularly between 500 and 750 nm, where reflectance decreased to 3040%. Reflectance increased markedly beyond 750 nm, reaching 80-90% in the near-infrared region. These results highlight the impact of the treatments on the optical properties of the materials, suggesting their potential application in areas requiring selective light absorption and reflection, such as optical coatings and quality managemen
