This study will use a detailed questionnaire to collect data on the challenges and facilitators influencing the aging population. Methodology: The study population comprised elderly individuals aged 65 years and older. From this group, 101 participants who met the inclusion criteria were selected. These criteria included being aged 65 or above, possessing the ability to communicate effectively, absence of hearing or vision impairments, no history of mental health issues, and willingness to participate in the study. Results: The results show a positive trend of older people in many areas of their lives, with a strong focus on maintaining independence, physical and mental health, and maintaining warm and trusting relationships. The results show that 69% of the respondents answered positively to the questions posed, declaring that they agree, while 9% of them declared as undecided and 22% declared that they disagree. Through the factorial analysis, three factors were extracted, which account for 55% of the variance: Factor I: Healthy lifestyle; Factor II: Adaptive Coping; Factor III: Engagement with life. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that this topic be investigated with studies that include different sample groups because determining the perceptions of the elderly about successful aging and life satisfaction to improve their health and carry out interventions aimed at improving these perceptions can contribute to improving the health of the elderly

    No full text
Aim: Table tennis belongs to the racket sports which is characterized by intermittent movements, including short rallies and short breaks. While in tennis or in badminton there are more researches about physiological responses, during table tennis matches and training there are less studies of these aspects of a game. Therefore, this review article attempts to provide an overview of the physiology of table tennis by describing, players physical involvement. Methods: For the present narrative review, we performed a database searching process of relevant literature within the Medline, PubMed, SPORT Discus, Web of Science and Cochrane databases along with articles published at ITTF Sports Science Congresses, including the International Journal of Table Tennis Sciences. Results: In general, the most important finding is that the rally duration is very short at around 3.5s, with a longer rest time of around 8–20s, resulting in an effort-rest ratio ranging from 0.15 to 0.22 sec in official matches and energetic demands during match relatively low. Conclusion: Table tennis players have short-to-average body height and “normal” body mass; fat mass does not discriminate table tennis players by performance level; and the existing knowledge on anthropometric characteristics and body composition relied on a limited number of references

    No full text
The research object in this paper is the symbiotic relationship between the stage director and the playwright, as well as the stage director and the actor in the theater. The genesis of theater, has its roots in religion and ritual. Since the Antiquity, the actresses through their stage appearances, has introduced the world of gods and people, showing different dilemmas, but not offering solutions for them. Debates on society, presented through theatrical works, in front of the public, in different periods of time, are still debatable. Theatrical art, stage art, uses the word and body language to convey the message to the public. This is a message that in certain periods of time has been the forerunner of great changes in society. Theater as an extremely complex art..This study will examine the relationship between the director and the playwright (text selection, filtering ...) and the importance of sustainable collaboration between them. Also, the relationship between the director and the actor (working with actors, their selection, work on the table, mise-en-scène, until finalization and presentation to the public) will be examined in order to achieve artistic objectives in the form of genuine work-performance. But also the relationship between the stage director and other actors: the scenographer, the costume designer, the lighter, the musician, etc. Numerous authors have dealt with the theoretical issues of theatrical art in different periods of time. Among the authors who have left an indelible tracksare: Stanislavski (who is considered the father of acting theory in theater), Arto, Berth, Brook, Grotowski and many others

    No full text
Air pollution is a global threat that contributes to mortality and morbidity. However, globally 7.3 billion people, or 94 percent of the world population, face air pollution levels considered unsafe by the WHO. Objectives: To present pattern of ambient air pollution and determine its possible association with short term health effects indicators in Peja municipality. Methods: The air pollutants concentrations from annual reports Kosovo Environmental Protection Agency recorded in air quality station in Peja municipality and the number of emergency visits, number of general hospital admissions, data according to diseases coded according to ICD-10, number of premature deaths from Peja hospital database are collected, to asses potential association of these determinants. Results: The comparison of health effects of main air pollutants, PM10 and PM2.5 particles, showed no positive correlation in absolute numbers between their concentration and the number of emergency visits, hospital admissions, asthma and heart attack. Nevertheless, a correlation between elevated PM10 and PM2.5 and increased hospital admissions, emergency visits of COPD- COPD exacerbations are observed. The correlation was noted during winter months when fossil waste burning is coupled with deteriorated atmospheric conditions. Conclusion: Although the pollution values during whole year are not critical, the interventions should be oriented towards preventive interventions. Policies targeting air pollution reduction should be strongly enforced to reduce its health effects
