    Analisis kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri berdasarkan taksonomi Bloom dan alternatif pemecahannya

    [Bahasa]: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiagnosis kesulitan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan soal geometri berdasarkan Taksonomi Bloom dan alternatif pemecahannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan metode tes dan wawancara. Peneliti mengambil tiga subjek untuk diwawancarai. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat jenis kesulitan yaitu: 1). Pada tingkat pemahaman, mahasiswa kesulitan memahami konsep tinggi dan alas jajargenjang. Alternatif pemecahannya dengan menggunakan model penilaian Assessment for Learning (AfL); 2). Pada tingkat penerapan, mahasiswa kesulitan menerapkan konsep kesebangunan bangun datar untuk menyelesaikan soal. Alternatif pemecahannya dengan model penilaian Assessment for Learning (AfL); 3). Pada tingkat analisis, mahasiswa kesulitan membuktikan rumus luas daerah segitiga dengan menggunakan pendekatan luas daerah jajargenjang. Alternatif penyelesaiannya dengan pembelajaran Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL); 4). Pada tingkat evaluasi, mahasiswa kesulitan dalam memberikan penilaian terhadap suatu permasalahan disertai dengan alasan yang logis. Alternatif pemecahannya adalah dengan pembelajaran yang menggunakan model penilaian peer-assesment. [English]: This study aims to diagnose undergraduate student’s difficulties in solving geometry problems based on Bloom's Taxonomy and find alternative solutions. This study is a descriptive study using qualitative approach. Data collection is conducted through test and interview. The subject of this study is 3 students. There are four difficulties found in this study, they are: 1). At the level of comprehension, the students are difficult to comprehend the concept of height and length of parallelogram. The alternative solution is to apply Assessment for Learning (AfL) model; 2). At the application level, the students have difficulty in applying the congruency concept of plane to solve the problem. The alternative solution is Assessment for Learning (AfL) model; 3). At the level of analysis, the students have difficulty in proving the formula of area of a triangle using parallelogram area. The alternative solution is to apply Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL); 4.) At the evaluation level, the students have difficulty in providing assessment of a problem with a logical reason. The alternative solution is to use peer-assessment model of learning

    Pengaruh pendekatan problem posing terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa berdasarkan gaya kognitif

    [Bahasa]: Penelitian eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika siswa antara siswa yang bergaya kognitif field independent diajar dengan pendekatan problem posing dan siswa diajar yang dengan pendekatan konvensional; 2) perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika siswa antara siswa  bergaya kognitif field dependent yang diajar dengan pendekatan problem posing dan siswa  yang diajar dengan pendekatan konvensional; dan 3) interaksi antara pendekatan pembelajaran dengan gaya kognitif terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Instrumen penelitian yaitu lembar observasi aktivitas guru, lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, instrumen GEFT, dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensial dengan bantuan SPSS versi 16,0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang bergaya kognitif field independent yang diajar dengan pendekatan problem posing lebih baik dari prestasi belajar siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan konvensional, ada perbedaan prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang mempunyai gaya kognitif field dependent yang diajar dengan pendekatan problem posing dan prestasi belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan konvensional, dan tidak ada interaksi antara pendekatan problem posing dan gaya kognitif terhadap prestasi belajar matematika siswa. [English]: This experimental research aims to find out: 1) the difference of mathematics achievement of students who have field-independent cognitive style taught with problem posing and conventional approach; 2) the difference of mathematics achievement of students who have field-dependent cognitive style taught with problem posing and conventional approach; and 3) interaction between learning approach and cognitive style towards students’ mathematics achievement. The instruments of this research are teacher’s observation sheet, students’ activity observation sheet, GEFT instrument, and the questionnaire of students’ response. Research data is analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics using SPSS version 16,0. The research found that mathematics achievement of students who have field-independent taught with problem posing is better than those who taught with conventional approach, field-dependent students have different mathematics achievement that taught with problem posing and conventional approach, and there is no interaction between problem posing approach and cognitive style towards mathematics achievement of students

    Pengaruh readiness dan self-confidence terhadap penguasaan geometri transformasi mahasiswa pendidikan matematika Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo

    [Bahasa]: Penelitian kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh positif dan signifikan antara readiness, self-confidence, serta readiness dan self-confidence secara bersama-sama terhadap penguasaan  mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Geometri Transformasi. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan matematika yang mengambil mata kuliah Geometri Transformasi. Sampel diambil 25% dari populasi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengukur readiness dan self-confidence dan dokumentasi untuk memperoleh data penguasaan mahasiswa. Analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi dan analisis korelasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara readiness, self-confidence, serta readiness dan self-confidence secara bersama-sama terhadap penguasaan mahasiswa pada mata kuliah Geometri Transformasi. [English]: This quantitative research aims to determine whether there is a positive and significant influence between; 1) readiness to learn and students’ mastery 2) self-confidence and student’s mastery, and 3) readiness to learn and self-confidence collectively together with students' mastery in Transformation Geometry course. The population of this research is students of Mathematics Education Program who took Transformation Geometry course. The Sample is taken 25% of the population. The data collection uses questionnaires to measure the readiness to learn and self-confidence, and documentation methods to acquire data students' mastery of Transformation Geometry course. Data analysis employs regression analysis and correlation analysis. The results show that there is a positive and significant influence between; 1) student’s readiness to learn with students' mastery, 2) self-confidence with student’s mastery, and 3) readiness to learn and self-confidence collectively together with student’s mastery of Transformation Geometry course. &nbsp

    Eksperimentasi Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) dengan Assessment for Learning (Afl) Terhadap Prestasi Belajar dan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Pada Materi Segiempat ditinjau Dari Gaya Kognitif Siswa

    This research aim to find out the effect of the learning models on achievement and mathematics communication ability viewed from cogn2itive style. The learning models compared were the cooperative learning of TPS type with AfL, cooperative learning of TPS type, and the direct learning mode. The research was quasi experimental. The population was all students of grade VII State Junior High School in Surakarta City. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling technique. The hypothesis test used unbalanced two ways multivariat analysis of variance. The results of the research were as follows. (1) The cooperative learning model of TPS type with AfL gives better achievement and mathematics communication ability than the cooperative learning model of TPS type and the direct learning model, and the cooperative learning model of TPS type gives better achievement and mathematics communication ability than the direct learning model. (2) Students with the FI cognitive style had better achievement than students with the FD cognitive style, while students with the FI cognitive style had the same mathematics communication ability as students with the FD cognitive style. (3) On FD cognitive style and FI cognitive style, the cooperative learning model of TPS type with AfL gives a better achievement than the cooperative learning model of TPS type and the direct learning model, and the cooperative learning model of TPS type gives a better achievement than the direct learning model. (4) On the cooperative learning model of TPS type with AfL, the cooperative learning model of TPS type and the direct learning model, students with the FI cognitive style had better achievement than students with the FD cognitive style. On the cooperative learning model of TPS type with AfL, the cooperative learning model of TPS type and the direct learning model, students with the FI cognitive style and FD cognitive style had the same mathematics communication ability

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk Mengetahui konsep-konsep matematika yang di gunakan para pedagang Serta implementasi konsep-konsep tersebut dalam kegiatan jual-beli di Pasar Gunungsari, Lombok Barat Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. yang menjadi subjek penelitian, yaitu para pedagang dalam bentuk studi kasus, Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan antara lain; Observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif adapun Instrument penelitian yang digunakan adalah wawancara.     Upaya Meningkatkan Motivasi dan Prestasi Belajar Mahasiswa dengan Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving Pada Mata Kuliah Aljabar Linear

    The purpose of this study was undertaken to: (1) enhance learning motivation of students in linear algebra lecture through cooperative learning Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving, (2) improve the achievement of students in linear algebra lecture through cooperative learning Thinking Aloud Pairs Problem Solving. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles. Each cycle includes four phases: planning action, action, observation / evaluation and reflection. The results obtained in each cycle of this study are as follows. The results obtained in the first cycle is only 14 students or 17.07% of students who scored at least 70 of learning achievement tests among all students. It means the condition is still under the success indicator of this research, which is 60%. The second result was the average score of students learning motivation questionnaire is 48 (scale 15-75),which is high category. Because the condition is still under the success indicator so it needs to be continued into the next cycle. Results in the second cycle showed an increase from the first cycle in terms of both achievement and motivation to learn. Results of the second cycle that are 56 or 68.29% of students who scored at least 70 of learning achievement tests among all students so that indicators of success has been achieved as well as the average score of student motivation questionnaire is 50, which means at the high category

    Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan kemampuan kognitif dan afektif terhadap kemampuan psikomotor siswa setelah penerapan Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP). Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian korelasi (uji korelasi ganda). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas X SMAN 3 Mataram Tahun Pelajaran 2008/2009 berjumlah 326 siswa yang terbagi dalam 9 kelas. Data dalam penelitian ini merupakan data sekunder yang diambil dari nilai rapot siswa yang diambil pada semester ganjil 2008/2009. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan bahwa ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kemampuan kognitif dan kemampuan afektif terhadap kemampuan psikomotor siswa SMAN 3 Mataram

    Peningkatan Kemampuan Investigasi Matematika Melalui Pemberian Proyek Matematika Pada Siswa Kelas XI

    This study is a classroom action research wihch aims at improving investigation ability of mathematics on function derivation and describing the process of mathematics learning by providing Mathematics Project. The subject of the study was 40 students grade XI IPA 1 SMAN 2 Watampone of academic year 2011/2012. The improvement of mathematics investigation ability was measured by investigation ability indicators, namely (1) problem identification, (2) organization and collection of information/facts/Mathematics symbols, (3) building and implementation of planning and problem solving, (4) drawing conclution, (5) interpretation of the result of investigation, and (6) communicating the result of investigation. The study was conducted in two cycles by following the stages of classroom action research on each of the cycle consist of  (1) the planning, explaining of the preparation based on the result of pre-action wich resulted on low investigation ability, (2) the action, the implementation from all of the planning of action constructed on the first stage, (3) the observation, observation during the action wich obtained quantitative data and qualitative data, and (4) the reflection, the stage to study and process the data obtained during the observation. The instrument of study used observation sheet and test of investigation ability of mathematics. The observation sheet was used to evaluate the implementation of learning process by giving Mathematics project assignment. Whereas, the test of investigation ability of Mathematics was used to evaluate the improvement of students‟ investigation ability. The results obtained after giving the project assignment are (1) on cycle I, the mean score of students‟ investigation ability after the learning is 57,05; (2) on cycle II, the result is 80,58. The observation sheet reveals that students have improvement on the activeness and ability in conducting investigation toward the project assignment proven by the achievement of indicators of investigation ability wich improved on each of cycle. The conclution based on the result of observation and test of investigation ability is there is adequately significant improvement ofmathematics investigation ability on each of the cycle

    Penggunaan Aljabar MAXPLUS dalam Pembentukan Model Matematis pada Sistem Penjadwalan Praktikum Laboratorium

    Kegiatan praktikum dilaksanakan di laboratorium bertujuan untuk menunjang proses pembelajaran setiap semester. Ada sekitar 500 praktikan memanfaatkan kegiatan ini pada setiap jenjang pendidikan D3 dan S1. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sistem pembuatan jadwal yang tepat sehingga proses praktikum di laboratorium berjalan lancar. Namun, melihat fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan, jadwal yang telah disusun belum sinkron dengan waktu dosen pengampu dan mahasiswa sehingga peneliti mencoba untuk memodelkan sistem penjadwalan praktikum di laboratorium STMIK Bumigora Mataram menggunakan aljabar Maxplus. Berdasarkan model dan hasil simulasi Scilab diperoleh nilai eigen untuk penjadwalan praktikum di Lab 2 sebesar 800 dengan nilai awal x(0), artinya periode perpindahan dari praktikan kepraktikan yang lain adalah 800 menit. Oleh karena itu, hanya satu praktikum yang terjadwal setiap hari di Lab 2 karena praktikum ditargetkan usai pada pukul 12.00
