Islamic financial planning is crucial for Muslim households to guarantee financial stability and adherence to Sharia standards. Strategic planning facilitates sound financial decision-making, risk management, and the attainment of financial stability. There is a growing demand for financial planning that adheres to Sharia principles among individuals seeking to align their financial management with Islamic beliefs. This aligns with the considerable amount of community service initiatives on this subject conducted in Indonesia. This include activities conducted by the implementing team comprised of lecturers at a university in Jakarta. This activity was conducted in person in mid-December 2024. The approach employed in executing this activity was supplying materials and facilitating question-and-answer discussions. This activity proceeded seamlessly. The assessment of feedback regarding the activity's outcomes was conducted in two phases: pre-test and post-test. The feedback measurement results indicated a knowledge growth, with an average enhancement of 15.89%. The greatest significant enhancement in understanding was in item 2, namely concerning gharar in Islamic finance, which approached 36%. The subsequent most significant rise (exceeding 24%) was on item 5, specifically concerning the primary foundation for decision-making in sharia investment. The subsequent area of knowledge enhancement, nearly attaining 21%, was to item 10, namely concerning the primary priority in the distribution of sharia family income. Such activities must be conducted periodically. By cultivating a culture of learning, sharing, and mutual support, socialization and knowledge dissemination enable families to effectively implement Sharia principles in their financial planning, resulting in enhanced financial well-being and social responsibility

In recent times, accidents involving the use of vehicles, particularly electric bicycles, have become increasingly common. These accidents are largely attributed to the public's lack of understanding regarding proper electric bicycle usage. The scarcity of informative content on this subject also contributes to the rising number of such incidents. This observation underscores the necessity of a medium that can provide education on electric bicycles. This study employs a qualitative research approach, collecting data through observation, literature review, and questionnaires. The findings inform the design of an educational video presented in an engaging manner and tailored to the target audience in the form of a 3D animated short film. The design process follows the animation development method proposed by Nazanin Shahbazi (2024). The resulting animated short film is further supported by a distribution strategy encompassing local and national scales through social media and online platforms, aiming to raise awareness about the dangers of operating electric bicycles improperly. This research aspires to serve as an educational resource for the public and to contribute to the advancement of the Indonesian animation industry

Media discourse and coalition dynamics: Playing safe is the new trend in media coalition

This study investigates the cautious approach adopted by media coalitions in framing the discourse surrounding the alteration of the age limit policy for vice presidential candidates in Indonesia in 2024. Using the Discourse Coalition Framework (DCF) and Discourse Network Analysis (DNA), the research explores how media outlets form coalitions through nuanced discourse strategies. This study aims to analyze how online media in Indonesia builds narratives related to changes in the policy of the age limit for vice presidential candidates in the 2024 election. The analysis finds that MediaIndonesia.com and Tempo.co take a non-oppositional stance, crafting narratives that are intentionally cautious and open to multiple interpretations to avoid direct challenges to the MK's decision. This careful positioning often involves complex language that can obscure understanding for the general public, limiting non-experts’ grasp of the legal context. Viva.co.id, however, diverges by presenting clearer narrative patterns that align with specific political coalitions, focusing on justifications and perceived benefits. The study highlights that dominant discourses are often driven by influential figures such as academics, legal experts, and politicians, who serve as primary sources and reinforce the coalition’s influence over public opinion. The application of DNA provides insights into how these actors and their discourses shape public understanding and frame the urgency and legitimacy of the policy. This study underscores that in modern media coalitions, a strategy of "playing safe" is becoming a prevalent approach to managing public perception and discourse on politically sensitive issues

Hermeneutics of social media debates on identity politics from the perspective of communicative action

Social media Facebook is one of the three most used social media in political communication in Indonesia. This development, on the one hand, is a good sign, where a new era has begun, where communication technology is used to win democratic competition and political sympathy, but on the other hand, the use of social media communication technology makes politics full of distortion due to the widespread phenomenon of hoaxes and hate speech.  This research was conducted with one aim, namely: to reveal the distortion of the language of debate on Facebook which is packaged in various hoaxes and hate speech related to ethnicity, religion, race and intergroup (SARA). By using the critical hermeneutics method, this research attempts to explore the context of the text, reconstruct the text, discover layers of text distortion, and analyze the text to find the author's self-emancipation and various validity claims in the text. By using the perspective of communicative action theory, this research finds the fact that political language debated on Facebook social media makes it difficult to build intersubjective consensus between writers and readers in general. Language debates that center on hate speech based on religion and ethnicity fail to build consensus to understand each other because the debate texts are dominated by mastery of language that centers on psycho-religious collective solidarity. Private languages that are centered on psycho-religious collective solidarity do not provide space for achieving intersubjective mutual understanding between text writers and text readers in general. Keywords:Communication Distortion, Hate Speech, Communicative Action, Collective Solidarity, Psycho-religious

Digital pills: Leveraging whatsapp for antibiotic resistance awareness

The escalating threat of antibiotic resistance, driven by misuse and overuse of antibiotics, poses a severe public health crisis that requires immediate and innovative solutions. Education on proper antibiotic use is crucial in combating this issue, particularly among community health cadres who play a pivotal role in disseminating health information. This study evaluates the influence of an educational intervention delivered via audio-visual media through WhatsApp on enhancing the knowledge and attitudes of Integrated Health Pos (Posyandu) and Family Welfare Movement (PKK) cadres about antibiotic resistance. A pretest-posttest design was adopted, involving 100 participants from rural areas in Kebak Kramat Subdistrict, Karanganyar Regency, Central Java. Questionnaires assessed participants' knowledge and attitudes both before and after the intervention, which consisted of educational audio-visual content shared through WhatsApp. The findings revealed a significant improvement in knowledge, as evidenced by a Mann-Whitney U test Z-value of -2.044 (p=0.041) when comparing Posyandu and PKK cadres. However, no significant change was observed in attitudes, with a Z-value of -0.944 (p=0.345). These results indicate that while the intervention effectively increased knowledge about antibiotic resistance, it had limited impact on altering attitudes. The study underscores WhatsApp’s potential as a practical and accessible platform for delivering health education in rural settings. Nevertheless, it also highlights the necessity for complementary approaches to foster meaningful attitude changes and encourage sustained behavioral adaptations in antibiotic use. Future interventions should explore integrating interactive and participatory methods to address these challenges more effectively
