A Study of the Influence of Iron Shape on the Three-Phase Squirrel-Cage Induction Motor with Concentrated Winding

    No full text
Recently, many three-phase squirrel-cage induction motors(IMs) are used because of their low-cost and strength, but the price of IMs needs to be further reduced. If the stator windings are changed from distributed winding to concentrated winding, IM\u27s cost and copper loss can be reduced. But a deterioration of the characteristic is expected: for example, even harmonics are occurred. Therefore, we have studied IMs with concentrated winding. In this paper, the results of an analysis for the influence of iron shape of the stator and the rotor are discussed, it is shown that the even harmonics can be reduced by the proper iron shape of the stator and the rotor

The aim of this study is as follows: What kind of outcomes and challenges will be obtained if the teacher introduces “Jishobiki<, a method of teaching Japanese dictionaries to make children understand vocabulary and expand vocabulary? It is the purpose of this research to clarify through analyzing cases of introduction in British elementary schools. This study clarified the difference between the teaching view of teachers in the UK (view of teaching materials, view of children) and the teaching perspective of Japanese teachers. First of all, it is about teaching Japanese teachers. (1)The guidance of teachers in Japan is bound by the leadership plan of each subject, the leading position in the class, (2)Therefore, what you expect from the “dictionary subtraction learning method< is to demonstrate the subjectivity of the child. On the other hand, it is about teaching English teachers. (1)The teaching in the class is being developed based on the child\u27s ability view, then, (2)The teaching of spelling guidance is considered as the most difficult problem. Especially in English lesson of Primary school. As a teaching method for overcoming the problem, it was revealed that UK teachers greatly hope for “Jishobiki<

Cerebellar Signal Processing and Capacity on the Motor Control and Learning

    No full text
The cerebellum plays an essential role in motor learning, namely acquisition of new motor skills, maintenance and improvement of the acquired motor performances throughout lifetime. These different motor control are processed in different cerebellar area. The primary mechanisms underlying those motor control and learning, however, are considered as the same due to that the cerebellar neuronal network has uniform network architecture: organized by two types of afferent fiber inputs and five main types of neuronal cells. In this study, I configure anatomical and physiological plausible artificial cerebellum, and simulate two different types of cerebellum related motor control, vestibuloocular reflex and tilt-translation ambiguity, to investigate mechanisms of cerebellar signal processing and its capacity

A Concept of In-Flight Muon Catalysis Fusion (IFMCF) in High Density Gas in Steady State Supersonic Shockwave - Concept of Supersonic In <Flight Muon Catalysis Fusion Ramjet -

This study was initiated for the purpose of eliminating long-life waste (LLFP) in nuclear reactors using fusion neutrons. Theoretical simulation studies have revealed that if nuclear fusion neutrons are irradiated to LLFP continuously for 10 years with the rating of 1019 cm-3 s-1, detoxification will proceed by transmutation. There is also a nuclear fusion reactor as a neutron source, but it is too large. The concept of In-flight Muon Catalysis Fusion has been proposed. Atom replaced by orbital electrons with negative muon has an atomic radius of 1/200, so the fusion cross section reaches 2000 barn at the d-t target. This reaction cross section is several hundred times larger than magnetic nuclear fusion using bare ions. Moreover, the kinetic energy of nuclei necessary for fusion is reduced from 100 keV to 1~2 keV. In order to utilize this muon fusion reaction, a mixture gas of deuterium and tritium at about 30 atm is targeted and irradiated with 10 keV muon particles. At the energy of α particles generated by this fusion (3.5 MeV), ions of 1~2 keV are generated in the target, and this ion and muon atom causes the next nuclear fusion reaction in a chain and steady state. This ion collides with the gas molecules in the target and disappears with a lifetime of about nanosecond, but the next ion is generated by new α particles generated in the next fusion reaction. The target is a high density neutral gas and does not need to be supported by a magnetic field. Since the target gas is overheated by the energy generated in the nuclear fusion reaction, the gas must be replaced at high speed. In the supersonic Laval nozzle, a high density Mach shock wave of 30 atm serves a nuclear fusion regime to which muons are injected. This supersonic nozzle replaces the gas combustion of the scramjet engine with nuclear fusion and has the potential to realize nuclear fusion within the range of existing technology
