SYNERGITY BETWEEN THE VILLAGE GOVERNMENT AND PADJADJARAN UNIVERSITY IN ENCOURAGING THE DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNITY ENTREPRENEURS IN JATIMUKTI VILLAGE
Objective: This study is aimed to examine the development of entrepreneurship to improve welfare in Jatimukti village, Sumedang Regency, is one form of activity in the economic field by empowering rural communities. Efforts to encourage the development of entrepreneurship in the village can be done by synergizing the existence and role of the stakeholders, including the village government with universities.
Methodology: In the research process, the method used is qualitative, where data research is obtained from interviews and observations. The collected data is then classified based on its type, after that the verification and validation process is carried out through triangulation techniques.
Main Findings: The results of this study indicate that the synergy between institutions in encouraging the development of entrepreneurship in Jatimukti village community, especially between the village government and universities, is important.
Implications: In its implementation, the Padjadjaran University with the Government of Jatimukti Village has conducted a synergy with a series of activities and coordination to advance community entrepreneurship.
Novelty/Originality of the Study: To achieve good results from the synergy process, effective communication, fast feedback, trust and creativity are needed. The value of such relationships, such as loyalty to partners, maintaining interdependence, adaptation to partners (cultural compatibility), integrity and intensity of relationships, and institutionalization (means acting on behalf of institutions and in the interests of shared institutions)
CONFLICTS AND THE RETROGRESSION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT: THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF HERDERS-FARMERS’ CONFLICTS IN NIGERIA
Purpose: The study draws attention to the negative impacts that the conflicts between Fulani herders and farmers have had on Nigeria’s national development, especially on its quest to achieve food security while repositioning agriculture as a major player in the economy. It further draws attention to the serious danger these conflicts pose to the country’s socio-economic and political sustainability. The study attempts to illuminate the disconnect between these conflicts and the actualization of the twin goals of “no poverty” and “zero hunger” as encapsulated in the Sustainable Development Goals 1 and 2.
Methodology: This study generated both primary and secondary data to evaluate the socio-economic and political implications of the herders-farmers conflicts in Nigeria. While the primary data were generated through the instrumentality of key informant interviews (KIIs), the secondary data were obtained from archival materials and other published works.
Main findings: The study found that herders-farmers conflicts have inflicted serious costs on the Nigerian economy in terms of loss of resources and human lives. It also found that these conflicts have jeopardized the prospects of meeting the global goals of poverty eradication and zero hunger. The study equally found that the government has no specific set of strategies to contain the conflicts and that its equivocation and unwillingness to prosecute the architects and perpetrators of the conflicts has emboldened them.
Social Implications: The herders-farmers conflicts have had serious impacts on the people. These impacts include human fatalities, social dislocations, especially displacement and disruption of people’s livelihood patterns and the exacerbation of poverty.
Originality/Novelty: The originality of the study derives from its successful establishment of wider links between the Fulani herders-farmers conflicts and the prospects of the country derailing in repositioning the agricultural sector and meeting the global goals of poverty reduction and food security
THE REVITALIZATION MODEL OF WAN ABDURRAHMAN FOREST PARK AS A COMMUNAL FORESTRY CONSERVATION AREA
Purpose of study: This study aimed to develop a model of social planning and legal perspectives on forest park revitalization program. Which in this study forest park that will be examined is Abdurahman Wan forest park in Lampung province, Indonesia as communal-based nature conservation programs are guided by the principles of participation, utilization, harmonization, and sustainability?
Methodology: This study is a qualitative study using juridical and sociological perspectives by evaluating and comparing the Top-down and Bottom-up plans that have been done before. The SWOT analysis has been done for analyzing the data.
Result: The results of the study show that the "Top-down Planning" that has been done so far is not sufficient. This is because the legislature is not only limited to a basic concept but must also play a role in developing all strategic arrangements. Therefore, in this case, the government is not merely a member of parliament but oversees the course of the program. Also, the community must have broad access to fight for its communal values. In short, the study found that the "Bottom-Up Planning" model was more suitable for implementation because through this approach the community could participate and exchange ideas together in all policies.
Implications: This research is very useful for stakeholders because it can provide academic illustrations in the form of policy analysis and is able to force public participation and ensure that all policies are shared values and collaborative in nature that provide so many assets related to the form of public policy in implementing activities in the park communal forest.
Applications of this study: This research can be used for the universities, managers, and policymakers.

FILM TRANSFORMATIONS FROM ANALOG TO DIGITAL: A CASE STUDY OF FILM RESTORATION IN INDONESIA
Purpose of the study: The purpose of this research is to analyze how the innovations are done in the film restoration process because each celluloid film has a different character.
Methodology: Methodology in this research is a case study by using data collecting technique of interview and observation.
Main Findings: The research results obtained that the film restoration process is able to meet the standardization of broadcast-quality on television.
Applications of this study: Primary data in the research comes from an interview with six informants. Each of the informants is a practitioner who is engaged in film restoration, from the production manager, head of the restoration, head of the film laboratory, film scanning, and film editor.
Novelty/Originality of this study: The digitalization is an innovation that has to be developed to save films and documentaries with high historical values so that each generation can learn and know the history of events that had occurred in the past
MULTICULTURAL COUNSELING BASED ON THE BOOK OF LONTAR YUSUF IN INDONESIA
Purpose of the study: The contents, meaning, the relationship of values in Lontar Yusuf's book if it is seen in its contents and the Using community counseling model contained in Lontar Yusuf's book.
Methodology: This study used a qualitative approach to the type of content analysis research (content analysis).
Main Findings: Using the Community counseling model contained in the book of Joseph Lontar contained some truth value functionally can be used in looking at human nature and the purpose of counseling.
Applications of this study: Content analysis is a type of research that is used to examine the richness of meaning of an object under study, namely the documentation of data in the form of text, images, symbols, and so forth.
Novelty/Originality of this study: Values can be utilized in the decency of human nature and the purpose of counseling. Humanitarian values can be utilized on the goals of counseling. The social value can be utilized on the goals of counseling. Values can be utilized by faith in human nature and the goals of counseling
ADVERSITY QUOTIENT IN IMPROVING MILLENNIAL GENERATION SALESPEOPLE'S PERFORMANCE IN THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0
Purpose of the study: The paper aims to address the knowledge gap in understanding the relationship between AQ and the performance of millennial generation salespeople.
Methodology: This study uses a qualitative approach in a systematic review. This is used to synthesize(summarizing) qualitative descriptive research results.
Main Findings: The findings indicate that there is a positive relationship between adversity quotient on the performance of millennial generation salespeople.
Applications of this study: The study shows the importance of companies adopting AQ for millennial generation salespeople by training salespeople, especially in guiding them, to provide flexible space to make decisions, and explore their capabilities in the field of technology in achieving performance targets set by the company.
Novelty/Originality of this study: The results contribute to the literature by providing main factors of adversity quotient to achieve the performance of millennial generation salespeople on Industrial Revolution 4.0
RESEARCH KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON PROBLEMS, NEEDS AND STRATEGIES OF SOUTHERN THAILAND
Purpose of the study: This study aims to develop a research knowledge structure according to problems, needs, and strategies of a community, to search for relationships, and to scope knowledge regarding problems, needs, and strategies of a community, to gather practical problem-solving guidelines, and to reflect and reconfirm existing body of knowledge of a community.
Methodology: This design of this study is content synthesis, knowledge organization as classification approach has been applied to this mixed-method research, the knowledge has been categorized into a tree structure according to the relationships of each concept, and therefore, it shows clear causes and effects also differentiates relationships in scope of related knowledge of the southern development.
Main Findings: The results of this study indicate that the knowledge structure of the research for the development of southern Thailand comprises 2 domains, 20 classes, 139 concepts, and 327 sub-concepts. It will let us see the relationships and trends of knowledge based on the research of southern Thailand by the scope of knowledge that reflects gaps in some research points and can be resolved or reused.
Applications of this study: The findings confirmed that we can develop it to the ontology for a recommender system or knowledge-based system of research for development based on problems, needs, and strategies of community in southern Thailand. It is a search engine tool for researchers on research for southern Thailand development. Further, this could explain more the relationships of information clearly, similarly; the knowledge structure will help the researcher’s study scope area, reduce research redundancy, reduce costs on research redundancy and reconfirm knowledge to conduct research and innovations.
Novelty/Originality of this study: The findings confirmed that it can be applied in terms of the policy area and national strategies, or applied as a part of solutions, for example, the body of research knowledge on tourism and agricultural development which is crucial for the national economy and resource. The government could take the knowledge into account the research or tourism policies, agricultural production as start-ups: Smart Tourism and Smart Agro Technology
FACTORS INFLUENCING INCOME SMOOTHING PRACTICE IN THE OIL AND NATURAL GAS MINING COMPANIES DURING 2012-2016 PERIOD
Purpose of the study: This study aims to determine factors that influence the practice of income smoothing in a company.
Methodology: Method of analysis applied logistic regression. This study employed a logistic regression analysis. The use of logistic regression is because the dependent variable is a dummy variable.
Main Findings: Results of the test results show that company size significantly influences the income smoothing practice; while for variables of financial leverage, profitability, and public ownership partially give no effect on the practice of income smoothing.
Applications of this study: Observations were done in oil and natural gas mining companies during 2012-2016.
Novelty/Originality of this study: The results of this study show that the size of the company affects the practice of income smoothing in the oil and natural gas mining companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2012-2016 period. Meanwhile, the financial leverage, profitability, and public ownership partially have an insignificant influence on the practice of income smoothing
COMMUNITY CAMPAIGN IN THE POLITICAL MEME “NYELENEH COMMUNITY” IN 2019 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION
Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze one of the phenomena that happened on Indonesia election 2019, usage of internet meme for political campaign to boost some candidates popularity, but the concentration of this study is memes of unique community that make declaration to support political campaign president candidate from number 01, Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin.
Methodology: This study uses an Expreslanatical case study method using a qualitative approach. This study highlighted the political meme "nyeleneh community" in the 2019 presidential election. In content analysis, qualitative media of all types of data or documents analyzed are often referred to as "text" although not always in written form, but can also be images, moving images, music, articles, and others.
Main Findings: The results show that the use of social media is very important during the 2019 General Election campaign, the existence of social media is considered as a "sexy" communication media to get the votes, as a medium to communicate or delivery the candidates’ vision and mission and also as media to interact with their supporters.
Applications of this study: Memes of a unique community called “Nyeleneh Community” that make the declaration to support political campaign president candidate from number 01, Jokowi - Ma’ruf Amin.
Novelty/Originality of this study: Meme presidential election 2019 circulates on social media more than a regular meme. Through visual images as well as words, packed with satire style creates a humorous atmosphere that becomes catharsis amid the contestations of presidential election 2019. The level of creativity in making memes increases rapidly which indicates a growing interest in the participation of public elections. Political communication activities on social media in Indonesia have spread to the wider community and need a serious review to understand the map which provides references to stakeholders to create a policy
BUSINESS OWNER’S PERSPECTIVE ON STRATEGIC EXECUTION, TECHNOLOGICAL TRANSFORMATION, COMPETITIVENESS POTENTIAL, AND SERVICES LEVEL ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF STRATEGIC IT ALIGNMENT
Purpose of the study: This research aimed to determine the perspectives of business owners regarding strategic-execution, technological-transformation, competitiveness-potential, and service-level to the implementation of IT- strategic alignment in SME of Creative Industries Group in Palembang City.
Methodology: Research design is causal research and uses primary data type, in the form of questionnaires and some are carried out also by direct interviews.
Main Findings: This research, it could be concluded that partially only the Strategic-Execution variable and Competitiveness-Potential variable which affected the implementation of Strategic-IT Alignment. While the Strategic-Execution, Technological-Transformation, Competitiveness-Potential, and Service-Level had a significant effect simultaneously on the implementation of Strategic-IT Alignment.
Applications of this study: The population for this research is SMEs in Palembang City which is registered in the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs.
Novelty/Originality of this study: The results of the research support the first hypothesis that the Strategic-Execution variable has a positive and significant effect on the implementation of Strategic-IT Alignment
