Empowering Gamification-Based Mobile Learning Media To Improve Mathematics Learning Outcomes For Dyscalculia Students
This research aims to describe the empowerment of gamification-based mobile learning media to improve mathematics learning outcomes in cubes and blocks in fifth grade elementary school students with dyscalculia. The formulation of the problem in this research is how effective the media used in developing gamification-based mobile learning media is to improve mathematics learning outcomes in cube and block geometric materials for students with dyscalculia. The research method used in the research is development research. The research and development design uses the Sukmadinata research and development model which consists of three steps, preliminary study, development and testing. The results of this research show that the learning outcomes of the experimental class are better than the control class. Even though the results of the effectiveness test have proven that the learning outcomes of the experimental class are better than the control class, the researchers conducted an effect test to determine the magnitude of the influence of mobile learning media on the mathematics learning outcomes of cubes and blocks in fifth grade elementary school students with dyscalculia. The effect size value (d) reached 1.83, which according to Cohen's effect size is in the high category. Thus, the use of gamification-based mobile learning media has a high influence in improving mathematics learning outcomes for cubes and blocks in fifth grade elementary school students with dyscalculia. The Impact of Political Literacy Education and Learning on the Political Participation of First-Time Voters Ahead of the 2024 Election in Kerinci Regency
In a democratic country, political literacy is a very important aspect in elections because the higher the political literacy of its citizens, the higher the quality of democracy implementation in the country. Political literacy will create a politically literate society, if there is a lack of political literacy, it will have an impact on the quality of participation. This study aims to find out the level of political literacy of novice voters, find out the level of political participation of novice voters and find out the quality of the correlation between the political literacy of novice voters and their political participation ahead of the 2024 general election. This research is located in Air Hangat Barat District, Kerinci Regency. This study uses a descriptive-correlational method. The data collection technique used is a questionnaire. The sampling technique used is probability sampling, which is simple random sampling. Data analysis was carried out by Pearson correlation test analysis, which was first carried out as a prerequisite for analysis, there was a significant positive relationship between the political literacy of novice voters and political participation ahead of the 2024 election, showing a significance value of p < 0.05. The value of the product moment correlation between x and y is only at 0.409 from the interval of 0.40-0.599, so it is concluded that it is "quite strong" even though it is not at a very high level, because not only political literacy affects novice voters to participate but many other factors can influence novice voters to participate in activities ahead of the general election
Developing Of Cognitive Assessment Instrumens Of High Order Thinking Skills In Small Ball Game Material
The Instrument of Higher Level Thinking Skills in Small Ball Games is an assessment instrument in sports subjects, especially in the sports of tennis, table tennis and badminton. This instrument is used to measure students' Higher Level Thinking abilities. This study aimed to: (1) produce a test instrumen that is feasible and meets the requirements for use in measuring the Higher Order Thinking Skills of students majoring in Sports Education, and (2) find out the characteristics of the instrumen of Higher Order Thinking Skills on Small Ball Game material of students majoring in Sports Education.This study used a modification development model from Wilson, Orindo, and Antonio, consisting of three stage: (1) designing the tests, (2) conducting test trials, and (3) taking test measurements. The population in this study was 308 students. The sampling technique was carried out using a total sampling technique. The trial subjects in this study consisted of 152 students, while measurement subject consisted of 156 students. Test instrument products were assessed by experts through a content validation sheet, where there are 2 experts, namely measurement experts (test construction experts) and sports education experts (material experts). Analysis was carried out using Item Response Theory with the help of the QUEST program. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that the test instrumen is feasible and meets the requirements for use in measurements. The conclusions in this research are a) The test instrument has been proven to be valid by experts; b) The test instrument has questions that are in the good category based on the results of the unidimensional test analysis; c) The test instrument is in the high category based on the information function
Leading Teacher Collaboration in Elementary School Through School Leader Adaptive Skills: A PLS-SEM Approach
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between school leader’s adaptive leadership skills and teacher collaboration in schools and explore the implementation of adaptive leadership skills determine on teacher collaboration. The study was conducted using a cross-sectional survey with a sample of 384 teachers in elementary school teachers from 65 public elementary schools in Bogor district West Java Indonesia. The data were collected through Adaptive Leadership Skills scale and the Teacher collaboration Survey. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with partial least square was used to estimate relationships among the variables. The study findings indicate that adaptive leadership skills (emotional intelligence, organizational culture, character, and development) were significantly and positively related to teacher collaboration in schools. The findings are discussed according to the related literatures
Improving Elementary Students' Learning Motivation and Physical Fitness
Pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis permainan pada siswa sekolah dasar bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kebugaran jasmani. Model ini membahas aspek-aspek utama termasuk keterampilan kognitif, emosional, dan psikomotorik, yang penting untuk pembelajaran yang efektif. Mengatasi kendala umum seperti kurangnya minat, monoton, dan keterbatasan guru dalam berbagai pendekatan pengajaran adalah inti dari upaya ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), yang mencakup fase pra-pengembangan dan pengembangan. Pra-pengembangan meliputi identifikasi masalah, tinjauan literatur, studi lapangan, dan penyelidikan awal, sedangkan pengembangan meliputi penyusunan model, validasi ahli, pengujian produk, dan finalisasi. Subjek dari SDN 11 Koto Sungai Sarik, Pariaman bersama validator ahli berkontribusi dalam pengumpulan data melalui angket dan tes kebugaran jasmani, dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif. Temuan menunjukkan efektivitas model berbasis permainan dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan kebugaran jasmani, terbukti dalam peningkatan pretest-posttest yang signifikan. Hal ini menggarisbawahi dampak positifnya terhadap pembelajaran Pendidikan Jasmani, menawarkan solusi yang layak untuk tantangan pendidikan umum. Model ini muncul sebagai alat yang menjanjikan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan siswa dan kualitas pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani. Pendidik jasmani didorong untuk mengintegrasikan model ini untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran dan kesejahteraan siswa, sehingga meningkatkan pengalaman pendidikan secara keseluruhan
The Effect of the Project Based Learning Learning Model on the Ability of Problem Solving of Students at SMA Negeri 6 Kepahiang
This study aims to determine the effect of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) Learning Model on Students' Problem Solving Ability. This type of research uses the Quasi Experiment method. Data collection is done through tests. Data analysis used the Ancova test. The sample of this study were students of SMA Negeri 6 Kepahiang class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2. The results showed that: (1) There was a linear covariate effect of initial ability on students' problem solving abilities with an effect of 24.2%. (2) There is an influence of the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model on problem solving abilities of 76.2%. (3) There is a higher problem-solving ability achievement for class XI IPA students of SMA Negeri 6 Kepahiang who are taught using the Project Based Learning (PJBL) learning model compared to classes taught by conventional learning models
Development of LKS Based on Contextual Approach to Improve Students' Mathematical Communication Ability on Statistics Material Class VII Junior High School
This study aims to develop LKS based on a contextual approach that meets the criteria of valid, practical, and effective in improving students' mathematical communication skills in class VII junior high school statistics material. The validity analysis is based on data from the LKS validation results by validators, the practicality analysis is based on data from student and teacher response questionnaires and observations of learning implementation, and the effectiveness analysis is based on data from student mathematical communication ability test results. The LKS development model refers to the 4-D model (Four D Model) which is modified without using the Desseminate stage into a 3-D model (Three D Model) namely Define, Design, and Develop and using the One Group Pre-test Post-test Design research design. The research subjects were VII grade students of SMP Torsina II Singkawang, namely 1 experimental class totaling 34 students. The results of the research obtained are 1) The results of the LKS validation by the validator show an average score of 4.17 with good criteria, which means that the LKS meets the valid criteria. 2) The results of the student response questionnaire show an average percentage of 94% with very good criteria, the results of the teacher response questionnaire show an average percentage of 88% with very good criteria, and the observation of learning implementation shows an average percentage of 96% with very good criteria, which means that the LKS meets practical criteria. 3) The results of the mathematical communication ability test showed that the students who reached the 70 KKM score individually were 29 students out of 34 students and the proportion of students reaching the KKM classically was 75%, which means that the LKS meets the effective criteria
Students' Mathematical Conceptual Understanding Ability with Problem Posing Model on the Topic of Probability to Students' Curiosity Perspective
Understanding concepts is crucial in facilitating students' learning to achieve mathematical goals. Strong and meaningful understanding serves as a vital foundation for problem-solving in daily life. However, In the fact, students' abilities in understanding concepts are still inadequate. Literature indicates that the problem posing learning model is effective in enhancing students' problem-solving abilities in mathematical learning. This study aims to determine the improvement of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities on probability material, considering students' curiosity before and after the implementation of the Problem Posing learning model. This research used a mixed-method approach with a Sequential Explanatory Design comprising 8 research stages. Quantitative research utilized Quasi Experimental Design with class VIIIB as the experimental group and class VIIIC as the control group. This research was conducted at SMP 20 Singkawang. Meanwhile, qualitative data analysis involves questionnaire categorization. The research findings reveal that: 1) There is a difference in the improvement of students' mathematical concept understanding abilities using the problem posing model, with an average score of 24.44 and a Z-score < Z-table. 2) The concept understanding abilities in terms of curiosity indicate an average score of 79.48, categorized as moderate
Utilization of Arable Land as a School Extracurricular Program to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals in Metro Lampung
Utilizing cultivated land as an extracurricular program in schools is an initiative that is relevant to sustainable development goals. This research aims to explore and evaluate the positive impact of implementing the program on aspects of sustainable development. The research method involves main activities and data analysis to understand the impact and obtain the perspectives of the participants and relevant stakeholders. The implementation of this extracurricular program also brings social benefits, such as increasing collaboration between students, forming a responsible attitude towards the environment, and increasing awareness of sustainable development. In addition, involving students in agricultural activities can be a means of developing character and leadership. This research also identified several challenges, such as a lack of resources and support, as well as the need for program integration with the formal curriculum to ensure sustainability and sustainability of learning. Thus, the use of cultivated land as an extracurricular program in schools can be an effective strategy for achieving sustainable development goals, especially in the aspects of environmental education, agricultural skills, and developing social attitudes. Joint efforts are needed from the school, government, and community to ensure the sustainability and success of this program in the long term
Implementation of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy to Overcome & Prevent Complications in Hypertensive Degenerative Disease Kapasa Raya Makassar
Hypertension is a disorder of the blood vessels that blocks the supply of oxygen and nutrients from the blood from reaching the tissues in the body that need it. Hypertension is a condition in which blood pressure increases beyond normal limits. Based on data obtained in the Working Area of the Kapasa Health Center, Tamalanrea District, Makassar City, hypertension is the second highest disease of the 10 highest diseases in the region. While Kapasa Raya sub-district Patients with hypertension predominantly experienced by the elderly usually have no complaints and only experience mild symptoms such as neck headaches, dizziness, irregular heartbeat, or often tired. This activity aims to determine the level of knowledge about hypertension in Kapasaraya District, Makassar City and the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation in the treatment and prevention of hypertension complications. The activity, which will be held on September 30, 2023, targets 20 people with high blood pressure in Kapasa Raya Village, Tamaranea District, Makassar City. There are two activities carried out are the provision of hypertension education materials and training on progressive muscle relaxation techniques. The provision of educational materials on hypertension topics is carried out with lecture and discussion techniques. Training in progressive muscle relaxation techniques is carried out directly. The media used are PowerPoint slides and brochures on the LCD screen. The results of this activity provide information on the level of knowledge before carrying out hypertension education: less (75%), sufficient (25%). After the training there was a very significant increase in knowledge between less knowledge (20%) and sufficient knowledge (80%). The measurement results showed that progressive muscle relaxation exercises produced changes in systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after exercise. Average systolic blood pressure 160.81 mmHg and diastolic 105.35 mmHg, as well as systolic blood pressure after exercise 153.32 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure 92.36 mmHg. The conclusion of this activity was that the level of knowledge of respondents increased after training and the decrease in blood pressure both systolic and diastolic changed after progressive muscle relaxation therapy. The implication of this activity is that respondents and their families routinely perform progressive muscle relaxation exercises to reduce hypertension and prevent complications of hypertensio
