Integrating Punching Training Media into Elementary Education: Enhancing Physical Education Curriculum through Circular Kicks
The problem in this study began with the researcher's observation of the weak ability of inner circle kicks of Tarung Derajat athletes at Kurata II Satlat Padang Baru, Padang City. This study aims to determine the Effect of Punching Bag and Punching Pad Training Media and Motivation on Increasing the Strength of Inner Circle Kicks of Tarung Derajat Athletes.This study uses a 2 x 2 factorial research design, where the effect of using punching bag and punching pad training media as independent variables and motivation as the control variable. While the dependent variable is the increase in the strength of inner circle kicks in Tarung Derajat athletes. The sample in this study amounted to 24 people with male and female genders. The sampling method used in this study was the Saturated Sample Technique. Data collection on inner circle kick ability was carried out by performing as many inner circle kicks as possible within 15 seconds with a punching bag as the target. The data on the increase in inner circle kick ability obtained were then analyzed using two-way ANOVA statistics (Two Way ANOVA) 2 x 2. Based on the results of data analysis and interpretation of the results of the study, it shows that: 1 ) there is an effect of increasing the strength of inner circle kicks using punching bag training media. 2) there is an effect of increasing the strength of inner circle kicks using punching pad training media. 3) there is an effect of motivation on increasing the strength of inner circle kicks in combat athletes. 4) The results of the study showed that there was no significant interaction between training media (punching bag and punching pad) with motivation, which means that both factors have their own independent influences
Analysis of Computational Thinking Skills of Students on Exponential Equation Materials through Learning Videos
Computational Thinking (CT) is a very important skill for everyone because it is not only for solving problems related to computer science and mathematics, but also for solving various problems in everyday life. The application of computational thinking skills in Indonesia is still constrained which results in low computational thinking skills of students. This study aims to identify the ability of computational thinking in students through learning videos containing problem solving using the stages of computational thinking developed on the material of exponential equations. This study used descriptive qualitative methodology with 34 grade 10 learners in one of the high schools in Palembang as research subjects, focusing on three learners who showed high, medium, and low abilities. The research was conducted in three stages: preparation, implementation, and data analysis. Data were collected through written tests and interviews to measure learners' computational thinking ability. The results were analyzed through three stages, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that learners showed proficiency in exponential material, especially in terms of pattern recognition and abstraction. However, in decomposition and algorithm skills, learners show a lack of ability in solving problems with a systematic approach and accurate solutions
IoT-based Smart Pond Controller to Optimize Freshwater Fish Production and Data Management Application to Improve the Quality of Administration of Freshwater Fish Farmers in Pagelaran, Pringsewu Regency Lampung
The main problems that are a priority to be resolved are: 1) Systems that are still manual; 2) Often experience large losses due to poor water quality (high water pH); 3) Records of fish feed processing and financial management which are still done manually. Based on the priority problems faced by partners, the solutions offered by the proposing team for this PKM scheme are: 1) Implementing an IoT-based Smart Pond: Water Quality Control Tool, Automatic Feeding, IoT-Based Predator Detection; 2) Implementing Smart Pond: Web-based cultivation data management application; 3) Providing educational training on freshwater fish cultivation for breeders and all EWAK POND employees. The result of this service is that by implementing IoT technology, automatic feeding can reduce the amount of daily feed so that it can save farmers' expenses, reduce mortality rates, and improve fish farming management. Apart from that, this program also aims to empower local breeders through training and mentoring, so that they can better understand and utilize this technology for the sustainability of their businesse
Profile of Students' Problem Solving Ability in Solving Contextual Problems Viewed from Productive Struggle
Problem solving ability is the ability that allows students to use understanding and facts to solve math problems. Productive struggle is the attitude shown by students when overcoming the difficulties they experience. This study aims to investigate and analyze problem solving ability based on students' productive struggle in solving contextual problems. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through problem solving ability tests, questionnaires regarding productive struggle, and interviews. The research subjects consisted of VIII grade students in several junior high schools. Data analysis was conducted by detailing test results, examining questionnaire responses, and analyzing interviews. The subjects were collected and selected based on the categories of high, medium and low productive struggle. This shows that the problem-solving ability of subjects with high productive struggle is very good, while subjects with medium and low struggle have not shown good things in problem solving ability. This is due to how to overcome the difficulties experienced by students
Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan dan Pelestarian Budaya dalam Kearifan Lokal Pengajin di Kampung Wisata Caping
Tujuan penelitian yaitu pertama, mengidentifikasi cara pengrajin melestarikan Caping di Kampung Wisata Caping Pontianak. Kedua, menganalisis nilai pendidikan dan makna yang terkandung dalam produk Caping yang dihasilkan oleh pengrajin di Kampung Wisata Caping Pontianak. Ketiga, mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi oleh pengrajin Caping dalam mempertahankan praktik tradisional di Kampung Wisata Caping Pontianak. Keempat, menganalisis peran pengrajin Caping dalam pengembangan ekonomi di Kampung Wisata Caping Pontianak. Teknik pengumpulan data wawancara mendalam, observasi konserpatif dan analisis konten. Data yang dikumpulkan akan dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi elemen-elemen kearifan lokal yang tercermin dalam praktik pengrajin Caping. Hasil penelitian Pertama, adanya pertahankan dan inovasi tradisi. Kedua, Caping memiliki nilai budaya dan tradisi yang kuat sebagai simbol kearifan lokal dan identitas masyarakat di Pontianak. Pembuatan Caping secara manual oleh tangan-tangan pengerajin menambahkan nilai estetika dan spiritual pada produk, membuat pengrajin merasa bangga dengan karya mereka yang merupakan bagian dari warisan budaya. Pengrajin menghadapi tantangan dalam memperoleh bahan baku. Para pengrajin berperan dalam pengembangan ekonomi lokal
Pengaruh Pendekatan Reciprocal Teaching terhadap Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa pada Materi Aritmatika Sosial
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menguji pengaruh pendekatan Reciprocal Teaching terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa; (2) mengidentifikasi aktivitas belajar siswa melalui pendekatan Reciprocal Teaching; dan (3) mengidentifikasi respon belajar siswa terhadap pendekatan Reciprocal Teaching. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Monterado dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan posttest only control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, lembar pengamatan aktivitas, dan lembar angket respon siswa. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Effect Size, analisis persentase aktivitas, dan analisis rata-rata respon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat pengaruh pendekatan Reciprocal Teaching terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi aritmatika sosial di kelas VII SMP Negeri 4 Monterado dengan nilai Effect Size yaitu 0,44 dengan kategori sedang; (2) aktivitas belajar siswa aktif terhadap pendekatan Reciprocal Teaching dengan persentase 89,82%; dan (3) respon belajar siswa terhadap pendekatan Reciprocal Teaching yaitu 4,41 dengan kategori sangat tinggi. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran Reciprocal Teaching terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa.Kata Kunci:Reciprocal Teaching; Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis; Aktivitas; Respon The Effect of the Reciprocal Teaching Approach on Students' Critical Thinking Skills on Social ArithmeticABSTRACTThis study aims to: (1) examine the influence of the Reciprocal Teaching approach on students' critical thinking skills; (2) identifying student learning activities through the Reciprocal Teaching approach; and (3) identifying students' learning responses to the Reciprocal Teaching approach. This research was carried out in grade VII of SMP Negeri 4 Monterado using an experimental method with a posttest only control group design. The instruments used were critical thinking ability tests, activity observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used were the Effect Size test, activity percentage analysis, and average response analysis. The results of the study showed that (1) there was an influence of the Reciprocal Teaching approach on students' critical thinking skills in social arithmetic in grade VII of SMP Negeri 4 Monterado with an Effect Size value of 0.44 with a medium category; (2) student learning activities were active towards the Reciprocal Teaching approach with a percentage of 89.82%; and (3) students' learning response to the Reciprocal Teaching approach, which is 4.41 with a very high category. So, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Reciprocal Teaching learning model on students' critical thinking skills
Increasing Innovation In The Recycling Of Plastic Waste Based On Eco-Paving As An Effort To Realize A Green Economy In Gunung Sari Village
The “Wanita Mandiri Village Waste Bank” is a community self-help group managing waste in Gunung Sari Village which has received assistance from the Faculty of Economics, North Kalimantan University since 2021 and was finally officially formed at the end of 2022. Based on the results of interviews with the head of the Wanita Mandiri Village Waste Bank group, it is necessary there is continued assistance related to increasing business capacity. Currently, public interest in saving plastic waste is very large. On the one hand, this is a good thing, but on the other hand, this is homework for waste banks to be able to re-manage plastic waste that has been collected by the community. The problem experienced by the Wanita Mandiri Village Waste Bank group is the inactivity of the waste collectors who have been collecting waste at the Gunung Sari Village Waste Bank, resulting in a buildup of plastic waste at the Wanita Mandiri Village Waste Bank. The focus of activities in this service program is to increase business capacity by making new products from plastic waste through eco-paving product training. The programs that have been implemented in this activity are: 1) procurement of smoke-friendly moist burning equipment, 2) procurement of printing equipment and paving press equipment, 3) training on innovations in recycling plastic waste products. This activity fully involves the community, especially KSM members, starting from identifying problems, planning activities to implementing activities. The Wanita Mandiri Village Waste Bank, Gunung Sari Village, has high hopes for further assistance. This activity was carried out over 2 days, namely 26-27 October 2024. In this training, participants learned to process plastic waste using certain techniques to produce Eco paving, which can be used as an environmentally friendly alternative building material. Apart from technical skills, this training also provides an understanding about sustainable waste management, helping reduce waste in the environment, and opening up business opportunities through Eco paving products that have marketable value. The technology and innovation in this activity is the procurement of smoke-friendly plastic waste incineration tools, paving molding tools and paving press toolsPeningkatan Inovasi Daur Ulang Sampah Plastik Berbasis Eco-Paving Sebagai Upaya Mewujudkan Ekonomi Hijau Di Desa Gunung SariABSTRAKBank Sampah Desa Wanita Mandiri merupakan kelompok swadaya masyarakat pengelola sampah di Desa Gunung Sari yang telah mendapat pendampingan dari Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Kaltara sejak 2021 dan pada akhirnya resmi terbentuk sejak akhir tahun 2022. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara dengan ketua kelompok Bank Sampah Desa Wanita Mandiri, perlu adanya pendampingan lanjutan terkait dengan peningkatan kapasitas usaha. Saat ini animo masyarakat dalam menabung sampah plastik sangat besar. Satu sisi ini merupakan hal baik namun disisi lain ini merupakan PR bagi bank sampah untuk dapat mengelola kembali sampah plastik yang telah dikumpulkan oleh Masyarakat. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh kelompok Bank Sampah Desa Wanita Mandiri adalah tidak aktifnya pengepul sampah yang selama ini mengambil sampah di Bank Sampah Desa Gunung Sari sehingga terjadi penumpukan sampah plastik di Bank Sampah Wanita Mandiri. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pada program pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kapasitas usaha dengan cara membuat produk baru berbahan baku sampah plastik melalui pelatihan produk eco-paving. Program yang telah dilaksanakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah: 1) pengadaan alat pembakaran dampah ramah asap, 2) pengadaan alat cetak dan alat press paving, 3) pelatihan inovasi daur ulang produk sampah plastik. Kegiatan ini melibatkan masyarakat khususnya anggota KSM secara penuh mulai dari indentifikasi permasalahan, perencanaan kegiatan hingga pada pelaksanaan kegiatan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam waktu 2 hari yaitu tanggal 26-27 Oktober 2024. Dalam pelatihan ini, peserta belajar mengolah sampah plastik dengan teknik tertentu untuk menghasilkan ecopaving, yang dapat digunakan sebagai material bangunan alternatif ramah lingkungan.Selain keterampilan teknis, pelatihan ini juga memberikan pemahaman tentang pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan, membantu mengurangi limbah di lingkungan, dan membuka peluang usaha melalui produk ecopaving yang bernilai jual. Analisis Kemampuan Representasi Diagram Gaya pada Siswa SMA di Kota Pontianak
Diagram gaya merupakan salah satu dari representasi visual yang dipelajari oleh siswa jenjang menengah atas maupun perguruan tinggi. Diagram gaya dilibatkan dalam penyelesaian soal sehingga cara menggunakan diagram gaya menjadi sesuatu yang perlu dikuasai oleh siswa. Hal ini menjadi tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan representasi diagram gaya siswa SMA di kota Pontianak. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan secara survei dan melibatkan 205 siswa dari tiga sekolah negeri yang berbeda di kota Pontianak. Siswa diuji menggunakan tes representasi diagram gaya yang terdiri dari 8 butir soal dimana masing-masing konteks diujikan dua jenis situasi diantaranya situasi diam dan situasi percepatan konstan. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata kemampuan representasi diagram gaya siswa sebesar 48.78 untuk kategori menengah (intermediate). Kemudian, skor rata-rata siswa yang berhasil menyelesaikan soal untuk konteks bidang horizontal sebesar 57.32, konteks bidang miring sebesar 69.51, konteks objek menggantung sebesar 36.83, dan konteks sistem Atwood sebesar 31.46. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa sebagian siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam memvisualisasikan permasalahan kedalam diagram gaya dan menjadi perhatian bagi pendidik untuk memberikan pembelajaran kepada siswa tentang representasi ini.Kata Kunci: Profil; Representasi Visual; Diagram GayaAnalysis of Force Diagram Representation Ability in High School Students in Pontianak CityABSTRACTForce diagrams are one of the visual representations studied by high school and college students. Force diagrams are involved in solving problems so how to use force diagrams is something that students need to master. This is the aim of this research to determine the profile of style diagram representation abilities of high school students in the city of Pontianak. This research was carried out by survey and involved 205 students from three different state schools in the city of Pontianak. Students were tested using a force diagram representation test which consisted of 8 questions where in each context two types of situations were tested, including a stationary situation and a constant acceleration situation. The data was analyzed quantitatively descriptively. The results showed that the average score of students' style diagram representation ability was 48.78 for the intermediate category. Then, the average score of students who completed the questions for the horizontal plane context was 57.32, the inclined plane context was 69.51, the hanging object context was 36.83, and the Atwood system context was 31.46. This indicates that some students have difficulty visualizing problems in force diagrams and it is a concern for educators to provide lessons to students about this representation
Utilization Of Digital Media In English As A Foreign Language (EFL) Classess At The Junior High School Level In The “Program Sekolah Penggerak”
This study investigates the challenges and practices of teachers’ use of digital media in the “Program Sekolah Penggeak”. Through qualitative case study methodology, observation, semi-structured interviews and document analysis, this study investigates the implementation of digital media in English language learning in “school mover”. The findings highlight the importance of knowing what types of digital media can be used in the learning process, especially English, how teachers utilize digital media in the English language learning process, as well as the challenges and adjustments of strategies in using digital media. Recommendations include enhanced professional development to learn new technologies and digital skills and supportive school policies to navigate the barriers to implementing digital media utilization
Student Attendance Tool with Radio Frequency Identification Integrated Web-Based Images
Attendance is a data collection activity to determine the number of students present. This also applies to the learning process at school. Collecting attendance data manually has several weaknesses, such as inaccurate data when calculating the number of student attendance. This study aimed to create tools to make data collection easier. The tool that made the writer can be explained through the main block diagram which is divided into four parts: input block, process block, output block, and wireless block. In the input block, the RFID module and Esp32cam as student identifiers. In the process block, the Esp8266 microcontroller is the main processing unit to regulate the conditions of the tool being made. The output block includes a TFT LCD screen that displays streaming video during the attendance process. The results showed that the designed device worked well when the image size on the database was the same as the frame size in Base64 format and on a TFT screen measuring 240x320. There was also RFID where a good distance for the tag card to be identified or read on the RFID reader was 0.5 cm to 2.5 cm. This system could improve accuracy and efficiency in student attendance management while providing easy access to information to all interested parties
