    Feasibility Test of A Testing Station Trainer Situated in Virtual Reality Integrates Computational Thinking Concepts

    This research focuses on integrating the Computational Thinking (CT) concept of automation system in vocational education to address the high costs and scarcity of educational resources in practical learning. The rapid industrial expansion of automation, particularly in Modular Production Systems (MPS), necessitates that students grasp both the components' functionalities and operational principles. Another point that needs to be considered is the integrated CT concept in the learning process. The CT for 21st-century skills, this research aims to facilitate knowledge absorption through systematic problem-solving strategies. To reduce cost and scarcity, this research developed an Interactive Virtual Reality Testing Station (IVRTS) employing a CT methodology to replicate MPS functions effectively in a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) Laboratory setting. Developing an Interactive Virtual Reality Testing Station (IVRTS) with a CT approach to simulate the working process is expected to overcome this problem in the Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS) Laboratory. The research procedure adopted from Lee Owens' ADDIE development procedure aims to create a CT-based IVRTS as an innovative educational tool. Experimental validation will compare the efficacy of CT-enhanced IVRTS against traditional methods among 36 students from higher schools. Based on the results of research on the IVRTS indicates its significant potential, receiving mainly "Good/Worth It" feedback. Despite the overall positive reception, users reported issues regarding its complex nature and the necessity for ongoing technical support. Refinements to make the system more intuitive and autonomous by streamlining the interface and clarifying functions are essential for broader user adoption

    Literature Review on Nutritional Status and 25-Meter Swimming Speed among Prospective Students in the Context of Police Academy Preparation

    Physical health and fitness are crucial aspects in preparing for entry into the Indonesian National Police (Polri). Swimming, as a sport requiring physical fitness and technical skills, is a primary focus in this preparation. This study aims to explore the relationship between nutritional status and 25-meter swimming speed among prospective students preparing to enter Polri. The method employed is a literature review. Literature review is a research design used to gather data sources related to a topic, describing core content based on acquired information. Data collection for the literature review was conducted using database search tools, following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. The study analyzed journals and summarized statements relevant to the research objectives. Journal search procedures adhered to PICOT criteria. The analysis results indicate a positive relationship between good nutritional status and swimming speed. Factors such as balanced body composition and adequate nutritional intake play critical roles in enhancing swimming performance. The implications of these findings underscore the need for greater attention to nutritional aspects in swimming training programs and physical preparation for prospective Polri members. Emphasizing monitoring and improving nutritional status in swimming training programs can significantly benefit prospective Polri members in achieving optimal physical fitness.     Tujuan dalam penelitian ini melibatkan telaah literatur untuk memahami pentingnya keterampilan menyimak dalam mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia. Pengumpulan data berupa artikel jurnal, buku, serta riset terkini, untuk memahami tentang konsep keterampilan menyimak yang berkaitan dengan mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia dengan teknik library search sebagai awal penelitian. Data yang digunakan ialah data sekunder. Data sekunder adalah pengumpulan data dari beberapa sumber yang telah dipublikasikan. Data sekunder adalah pengumpulan data dari beberapa sumber yang telah dipublikasikan. Data sekunder diantaranya literatur missalnya buku referensi, artikel jurnal, hasil survei, dan lainnya. Teknik simak yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data yang melibatkan pengamatan terhadap kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menyimak mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia. Validasi penelitiannya dengan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian yang diambil benang merahnya yaitu; 1) Media pembelajaran yang digunakan bervariasi; dan 2) Bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan apa yang akan diajarkan. Media pembelajaran yang selalu bervariasi digunakan oleh dosen membuat perkuliahan semakin menarik dan berkualitas; serta Bahan ajar yang selalu mengikuti perkembangan zaman mampu menarik perhatian serta motivasi mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia dalam menyimak. Kata Kunci : Keterampilan, Menyimak, Bahasa Indonesia

    Efektifitas Model Pembelajaran VAK Terhadap Kemampuan Multi-Representasi Matematis

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji efektifitas model pembelajaran VAK terhadap kemampuan multirepresentasi matematis siswa di Smp Negeri 9 Singkawang. Metode penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Singkawang. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan postttest kemampuan multirepresentasi matematis, dan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah untuk menguji ketuntasan individual dan ketuntasan klasikal menggunakan uji-t, uji normalitas dengan Chi kuadrat, untuk mengetahui perbedaan menggunakam uji Mann-Whitney U-test, dan untuk mengetahui keterlaksanaan model VAK menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran VAK efektif terhadap kemampuan multirepresentasi matematis siswa, sub-sub rumusan masalah yaitu, (1) Kemampuan multirepresentasi matematis siswa pada ketuntasan individual dan ketuntasan klasikal di kelas eksperimen mencapai 70% dari siswa yang memperoleh nilai kriteria ketuntasan minimal lebih dari atau sama dengan 70; (2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan multirepresentasi matematis siswa yang signifikan antara penggunaan model pembelajaran langsung dengan yang menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK; (3) Keterlaksanaan model pembelajaran VAK terhadap kemampuan multirepresentasi matematis siswa pada materi garis dan sudut terlaksana dengan sangat bai

    The development of the education curriculum in Indonesia, especially the 2021 Merdeka Curriculum, focuses on cultivating character education through P5 (Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project). However, students still have difficulty understanding mathematics, especially mathematical representations. The aim of this research is to determine the development of cartoon films to improve students' mathematical representation abilities in the independent curriculum. The research uses development methods to analyze the development of cartoon films to improve mathematical representation abilities in the independent curriculum. The subjects studied in class IX A were 17 students. Data was obtained from observations, representation ability tests, and student interviews. The results show that the majority of students have moderate mathematical representation abilities with cartoon films playing an important role in improving representation abilities through active interaction. Low ability students need a deep approach and social support. Interviews showed positive changes in learning, but according to observations, some students were not active in the learning process. The goals of the Independent Curriculum have not been fully achieved. The results of teacher interviews revealed barriers to development, such as choosing a learning model according to the child's learning style. Teachers try to overcome this obstacle through reflection and discussion with fellow teachers as well as creating more interesting learning media such as cartoon films

    Dynamics of Border Community Business: A Case Study of Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan

    This research is motivated by the complexity of business dynamics among communities in the border region of Bengkayang Regency. Border regions have unique characteristics, leading to various factors influencing business dynamics in these areas. This research aims to understand the business dynamics of communities in the border region of Bengkayang Regency and formulate strategies for their development. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used was narrative analysis to deeply understand the experiences of business actors. The results showed that the business dynamics of communities in the border region of Bengkayang Regency are influenced by various factors, such as government policies, ethnicity, border security, infrastructure, skills and knowledge, and government roles. Based on the research findings, several strategies for business development in the border region of Bengkayang Regency were formulated, including infrastructure improvement, provision of training and business mentoring, facilitation of partnerships with large-scale businesses, enhancement of border security, and strengthening cross-border cooperation

    Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan atau Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan metode pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahapan analisis (analysis), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), implementasi (implementation), evaluasi (evaluation). Pada tahap analisis, dilakukan identifikasi permasalahan dan kebutuhan lapangan. Pada tahap desain, dirancang media e-modul. Pada tahap pengembangan, media tersebut dibuat dan divalidasi oleh ahli. Pada tahap implementasi, media diuji coba pada kelompok kecil. Pada tahap evaluasi, diukur melalui tes dan angket. Desain penelitian menggunakan one-group pre-post test design dengan subjek penelitian siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 4 Made Lamongan. Dalam desain ini, siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 4 Made Lamongan di buat menjadi satu kelompok eksperimen untuk mengukur efektivitas sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan pada kelompok eksperimen. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) e-modul berbasis flipbook sangat valid digunakan yang terbukti pada hasil validitas yang telah dilakukan oleh ahli materi, desain dan media dengan perolehan skor 3.82, 3.83, 3.66 dengan kategori sangat layak. (2) e-modul berbasis flipbook sangat praktis digunakan terbukti dengan hasil angket respon siswa pada uji coba terbatas dan lapangan dengan perolehan 4.23 dan 4.27 dan hasil aktivitas siswa 67% dan 90.5% yang menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan pada uji coba terbatas dan lapangan. (3) e-modul berbasis flipbook efektif dalam meningkatkan minat baca siswa

    THE EFFECT OF SPORT ON STUDENTS' SOCIAL ATTITUDES AND CHARACTER: A BIBLIOMETRIC STUDY OF ATTITUDE EDUCATION RESEARCH

    This study examines the impact of sports attitude education on students' social attitudes and character through a bibliometric analysis of related literature. Using data from Scopus, the study identifies publication trends, influential authors, and popular keywords in sports attitude education from 2014 to 2024, encompassing 1,528 articles. The findings indicate that sports education significantly contributes to students' character development, emphasizing the importance of sports in education to support their social and personal growth. Additionally, the study finds that certain countries, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, maintain strong academic collaborations in this field.     Optimization of Science Learning Outcomes for Series and Parallel Electrical Circuits Through Project-Based Learning Methods for Grade VI Elementary School

    This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of series and parallel electrical circuits in Class VI of Inpres Seringgu Elementary School in the 2023/2024 academic year by implementing a project-based learning methodology. This method was chosen because it can activate direct student involvement in the learning process, provide practical experience, and encourage the development of critical and collaborative thinking skills. In this study, students were invited to design and build simple projects related to electrical circuits, such as lamps that can be turned on through series and parallel electrical circuits. This research was carried out as a class action consisting of two cycles. Each cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and assessment of learning outcomes. The results of data analysis showed a significant increase in student learning outcomes. The average score before the application of the project-based method was 65, which increased to 80 in the first cycle and 90 in the second cycle. In addition, student involvement during learning also increased, as seen from the enthusiasm and active participation in discussions and practical activities. Therefore, the application of the project-based learning methodology has shown its effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes in the concept of electrical circuits. This study advocates the application of analogous strategies in other subjects to enhance conceptual understanding and enhance students' practical abilities.     Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model Problem posing pada materi pola bilangan kelas VII SMP Torsina 2 Singkawang.; 2) Untuk mengukur motivasi siswa saat diterapkan model problem posing pada materi pola bilangan kelas VIII SMP Torsina 2 Singkawang. Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan quasi exsperimental design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Torsina 2 Singkawang. Sampel penelitian diambil secara simple random sampling. Kemudian dilakukan pengambilan data dengan melakukan tes kemampuan penalaran matematis pada 1 sampel.. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan model Problem posing pada materi pola bilangan kelas VII SMP Torsina 2 Singkawang. Dari hasil perhitungan angket motivasi belajar siswa  bahwa motivasi belajar siswa tergolong tinggi ketika diterapkan pembelajaran Problem Posing pada materi pola bilangan kelas VIII SMP Torsina 2 Singkawang
