Non-test instruments are fundamental in the implementation of student needs assessment. Without the right instruments, the assessment will not be able to be carried out and the implementation of guidance and counseling services will not be able to reach services that are by student needs. This requires counselors to be able to develop instruments that can measure the psychological condition of students which can be used as a reference for making programs and providing services for students. But in reality, counseling teachers are still confused, unable to make instruments, and limited to processing and analyzing the results of the instruments obtained so that the counseling program prepared later is by the needs of students. This training and mentoring activity aims to assist counselors in developing non-test instruments independently. This activity was carried out for 9 days for Palembang City Junior High School counselors who were organized in the Palembang City Junior High School MGBK. The implementation of this activity was carried out using discussion, brainstorming, practice, and assignment methods. This activity began with filling out pretests, providing material, practice, and assignments, analyzing data, interpreting data, and ending with filling out posttests. The results of the pretest and posttest data analysis showed that the t-test significance value obtained was 0.001 <0.05, which means that there is a significant difference in the skills of counseling teachers in preparing non-test instruments before and after attending the training. During the activity, counselors were enthusiastic and eager to participate in the training. The output of this training is a questionnaire that can be used in their respective schools to assess students' needs

A problem is a statement or truth based on experience that is used as a hypothesis. In formulating a hypothesis based on statements as an inductive way of thinking. The problem of induction can also be formulated as a question about the validity or truth of universal statements based on experience. Thinking based on logic gives humans the possibility to gain knowledge, which is deeper than the meaning of what is thought. In formulating a hypothesis based on statements as an inductive way of thinking. The problem of induction can also be formulated as a question about the validity or truth of universal statements based on experience. In the case of inductive logic, however, these relationships vary in strength, measures of conditional probability reflect the degree of rational confidence that a person should have in the hypothesis that empirical science should be so characterized by its methods. With this method, we deal with science with a system based on what we do to what is done. The difference between the psychological view of knowledge which is related to empirical facts, and the logic of knowledge which is only related to empirical facts. With logical connections, the belief in inductive logic is largely due to confusion between psychological problems and epistemological problems

Developing communication skills in elementary school students is a very important need. The level of mastery of children's communication skills not only affects intellectual development through learning effectiveness, but also affects the social process and overall personal development of students. Initial studies show that 77% of students have not shown communication skills, while 23% of students show quite good progress with teacher direction and guidance. In addition, the teaching materials used, namely the science textbook, have not been effective in developing students' communication skills. So that the communication skills of 3rd grade students have not been formed completely. One of the school's efforts to improve communication skills is the use of models, methods, and media according to student needs and meet the demands of learning in the society 5.0 era in elementary schools. The development of ethnopedagogy-based social studies teaching materials on Madurese family and community traditions to train the communication skills of 3rd grade elementary school students can be an alternative solution to the problem. By using the research and development method of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation (ADDIE), the results of improving communication skills were quite satisfactory. The results of the validation of language experts obtained a percentage of 80% and validation of teaching material experts by 76%, so it can be concluded that the teaching materials that have been developed are quite valid and can be used but with improvements. Meanwhile, the results of the trial obtained an assessment percentage of 84% or valid for use according to expert practitioners, while the percentage of student assessments was 87.4% or can be said to be very interesting. Based on the results of observations of learning with ethnopedagogy-based social studies teaching materials that have been developed, there is an increase in students' communication skills, especially oral communication, through various activities and works produced such as mini podcasts and mini vlogs
