Work Motivation and Caring Behaviour: A Correlation Study in Nursing Practice
The primary purpose of this study was to determine and explain the relationship between work motivation and nurses' caring behaviour. The study was quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. The study sample consisted of 70 nurses in the surgical inpatient department at one of the central government hospitals in Bali Province, determined by purposive sampling technique. Data were collected by involving enumerators and analyzed using Kendall's Tau b test. The study results indicated a significant relationship between work motivation and nurses' caring behaviour. The higher the work motivation, the better the nurses' caring behaviour, but the relationship was not more than medium. This finding explains the importance of motivating nurses in providing nursing care. Hospital management can develop strategies that can encourage nurses' intrinsic and extrinsic motivation by considering the variables of this study
MEMAKNAI KAJIAN BENCANA DARI PERSPEKTIF FILSAFAT GEOGRAFI
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji makna bencana dari perspektif filsafat geografi. Geografi yang dikenal sebagai mother of science karena banyak ilmu pengetahuan yang dikaji selalu dimulai dari keadaan bumi. Geografi suatu bagian dari ilmu yang membahas tentang kebumian serta berbagai fenomena di bumi yang berkaitan secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dengan kehidupan manusia, juga mempelajari pola spasial. Bencana adalah bagian dari kajian geografi, yang merupakan ilmu penting untuk dipelajari. Indonesia merupakan Negara yang rentan terhadap bencana alam yang mungkin terjadi kapan saja. Dari perspektif ontologi, bencana adalah peristiwa alam, non-alam, atau sosial yang mengancam dan mengganggu kehidupan serta mata pencaharian masyarakat yang terkena dampaknya. Hal ini dapat menyebabkan korban jiwa, kerusakan lingkungan, kerugian materi, dan dampak psikologis. Sedangkan aspek epistimologi, membahas fenomena geosfer secara deduktif dan juga induktif dilengkapi pula dengan Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan meta-sintetis dengan literature review yang menidentifikasi, menilai, dan menginterpretasi seluruh temuan dalam topik penelitian dengan tujuan menjawab permasalahan dalam penelitian guna mendukung penelitian bencana dalam ilmu geografi. Dalam bidang aksiologi, studi atau penelitian tentang bencana dapat memberikan berbagai manfaat bagi kehidupan, baik dari segi fisik maupun sosial.
Expert Validation: A Critical Phase in the Development of ARIPSA
The study aims to create an evaluative examination for problem-solving skills that incorporates Augmented Reality (AR) technology as a means of enhancing 21st-century education, with a specific focus on the domain of physics education. The tool, referred to as ARIPSA (Augmented Reality Integrated on Problem Solving Assessment), has been developed utilising the Borg and Gall research and development methodology. This research encompasses various significant stages, including an analysis of educational needs, the design of applications, as well as the development, dissemination, and deployment of those applications. The process of validation involves the participation of individuals with expertise in physics and technology, who evaluate the application to ascertain its efficacy and dependability. Additionally, they assess the quality of the physics-related information offered within the application. The validation findings suggest that ARIPSA demonstrates appropriateness and efficacy in an educational setting, particularly in enhancing students' problem-solving abilities
The INoSIT (Integration Nature of Science in Inquiry with Technology) Model to Enhance the Scientific Literacy Skills of Junior High School Students: Development of Student Worksheet-Based Flip PDF Professional
The research's goal was to create student worksheets based on the INoSIT model with the help of Flip PDF Professional that met the criteria for validity, applicability, and effectiveness to improve junior high school students' scientific literacy competence. The study adopted a research and development (R&D) design with a 4-D model. The student worksheets were tested at Junior High School 10 Kendari using one-group pretest-posttest design involving science teachers as observers. The research subjects for the limited trial were 15 students, and the extensive test was conducted with 27 students. Three validators provided personal validation of the student worksheets, which led to the collection of practicality data through observation sheets on the application of learning, student activities, teacher and student response questionnaires, and effectiveness data through science literacy test instruments. The research showed that the INoSIT model student worksheets fell into valid and reliable categories. For the limited and extensive trials, the n-gain <g> analysis results on measures of science literacy, like being able to explain scientific phenomena, were 0.632 and 0.712, respectively. This means that they were in the moderate to high category. Furthermore, regarding evaluating and designing scientific inquiries, the average normalized gain was 0.541–0.580, indicating an intermediate category. Similarly, on the indicators of interpreting data and scientific evidence, the average normalized gain was 0,510-0,572, indicating a moderate category. Based on this data, the INoSIT model student worksheets were considered practical and effective in improving the scientific literacy competence of junior high school students
Trends and Hotspots in International Research on Problem Solving in Physics Education
Problem solving in physics education that have not been resolved to date causes obstruction of various interests. To comprehensively analysis the global application trends of problem solving in physics education and identify research points that promise problem solving in physics material based on bibliometrics and visual analysis. Publications related to problem solving in physics education from 2003 to 2023 were retrieved from the Scopus. The nation, institution, publication year, author, journal, average citations per item, H index, title, publication keywords evaluated. The VOS-viewer software was used to evaluate term co-occurrence results in order to anticipate problem-solving hotspots in physics education. There were 421 articles in all. (1) In general, the quantity of problem solving in physics education papers has increased during the last 20 years. The top three countries (USA, Indonesia, and Australia) accounted for 63.22% of all published articles. The United States has the most citation. The largest contributor is Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia. Suhandi, A. is the professor with the most articles published in the topic of problem solving in physics education. (2) The research field is organized into seven clusters: "HOTS studies," "cognitive systems ", "problem solving methods", "application program", "curriculum", "distance education", and "PER related to problem solving skill reconstruction will be published in the future". Matlab and problem solving in physics education employment research methodologies may be future hotspots in the field of problem solving in physics education
Enhancing Scientific Argumentation Skills in High School Physics: A Blended Learning Approach with Project-based Instruction
This empirical investigation delves into the application of blended learning within project-based instruction (project-based blended learning), within the framework of physics education for eleventh-grade students in a high school setting. The primary aim is to unravel the repercussions of this teaching model on the students' proficiency in scientific argumentation, particularly in the domain of optical instruments. Employing the non-equivalent control group design, the study enlists two classes: the experimental and the control group at a senior high school in Bandar Lampung, Indonesia, encompassing a total of 60 students during the academic year 2022/2023. Quantitative evaluation of scientific argumentation skills was conducted through tests, while qualitative insights into student reactions were garnered via an open-ended questionnaire. The findings underscore a noteworthy enhancement in the scientific argumentation abilities of the experimental group (n-gain: 0.69) as opposed to the control group (n-gain: 0.40), with the test of mean differences yielding a significance level (2-tailed) of 0.00. Qualitative scrutiny of the data also brought to light a more pronounced positive reception from students in the experimental cohort, lending support to the potential refinement of the project-based blended learning model for the augmentation of students' scientific argumentation aptitude
Correlation of Concept Understanding and Students' Attitudes towards Learning Physics on the Material of Temperature and Heat in Class XI
Learning physics in high school has a goal students can master physics concepts and have a confident attitude. Currently, students' comprehension of concepts is still lacking, considering the mindsets and attitudes of students who have not demonstrated a positive approach toward learning physics. It is necessary to analyze the students' conceptual comprehension, attitudes toward studying physics, and the link between conceptual understanding and student attitudes. This research includes descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of this study is all students of class XII MIPA SMAN Batusangkar and a sample of 172 students. This study used a purposive sampling technique. The instruments used are four tier multiplechoice diagnostic tests and attitude questionnaires. Overall, the research result at SMAN Batusangkar discovered that pupils' conceptual grasp was still lacking, so there is a misconception of 41.28% on the material of temperature and heat. Students' attitudes towards learning physics as a whole, they have shown a good attitude towards learning physics, which is in the good category of 68.92%. Concept understanding and students' attitudes towards learning physics have a moderate relationship. Correlation concepts understanding with student attitudes shows that student attitudes can influence concepts understanding, causing unsatisfactory physics learning outcomes
The Effect of E-LKPD Based on Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite on Simple Harmonic Motion Material on High School Students' Understanding of Physics Concepts
This research aims to determine the effect of Digital-Worksheet (E-LKPD) with the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite on understanding physics concepts of high school students in South Lampung, Lampung. A total of 60 students were involved in this research and were divided into two classes, namely the experimental and control classes. Data were analyzed using n-gain, independent sample t-test, and effect size. The research results showed that the average N-gain in the experimental class was 0.73 in the high category, while it was 0.58 in the medium category in the control class. There was a significant difference in n-gain in understanding concepts (sig.2-tailed < 0.05) between the experimental and control classes. This result is also reinforced by the effect size, which is very high, namely 1.319. This shows that the E-LKPD with the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite is able to improve understanding of physics concepts, especially regarding Vibration. E-LKPD with the Physics Toolbox Sensor Suite can help students understand concepts, improve work activities, and reduce misconceptions
Multiple Representations in Physics Learning: A Bibliometric Analysis
The application of multiple representation approach in physics learning has been adopted by several researchers, especially to improve the ability and achieve effective learning. The use of multiple representation approach in physics learning over the past few years has provided good results on student learning outcomes, including being able to improve and develop abstract physics concepts, scientific complex skills, metacognition skills, and problem solving. This research is the result of a review based on bibliometric analysis of multiple representations in physics learning. Data was obtained based on Scopus sources from 2013 to 2023, then obtained data as many as 121 articles which then the data was processed using RStudio and VOSViewer. Based on the results of the analysis using Rstudio and VOSViewer, it also displays other information such as year, country, author, institution, journal, co-word analysis, co-occurrence network, and visual density on occurrence. The results of this study provide a framework of the current trends of multiple representations in physics learning both in the present and some indicators that can be used as opportunities for future research
Developing an English Grammar Online Discussion Forum with Students as Contributors Using ADDIE Model
This Research and Development (R&D) study addresses the issue of grammar proficiency among English Education students at Universitas Negeri Medan. The solution proposed is the development of a learning media in the form of a web-based English Grammar forum. The development involved the application of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) model. This systematic framework led to the development of an innovative online discussion forum. In this forum, students take on the role of contributors, where they educate their peers on English grammar concepts, aligning with the "Learning by Teaching" method. In the evaluation stage, contributors' experiences were assessed, revealing that rigorous questions and an active community fostered an engaging and motivating learning environment. Users reported improved language skills and a deeper grasp of grammar concepts. The development of an English Grammar Online Discussion Forum, following the ADDIE model, showcases its potential as a learning media that is able to improve the grammar learning experience of the students
