SWIMMING EDUCATION IN SCHOOLS : A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF TRENDS AND DEVELOPMENTS
Get PDFThis study investigates the trends and developments in swimming education in schools from 2010 to 2024 through a bibliometric analysis. Utilizing data from Scopus, this research analyzes publication trends, authorship contributions, and international collaborations in the field of school swimming education. The results reveal a significant increase in the number of publications, particularly over the last six years, indicating a growing awareness of swimming education's importance as an integral part of school curricula for safety, physical fitness, and character development. Key authors, including Kevin Moran and Amy E. Peden, were found to contribute substantially to the literature, particularly on water safety and swimming skills. The United States, Australia, and the United Kingdom emerged as leading contributors, with the U.S. positioned as a central node in international collaboration networks. Furthermore, keyword analysis highlighted themes such as “swimming education,” “water safety,” and “physical health,” underscoring the focus on skill development and student safety.Overall, this study highlights the critical role of swimming education in forming resilient, health-conscious young individuals and underscores the need for policies that support accessible swimming programs in schools globally. These findings provide a foundation for further research and policy-making aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and reach of swimming education in educational settings worldwide
Nilai Perjuangan Tokoh Utama Dalam Novel Sang Alkemis Karya Paulo Coelho: Pendekatan Semiotik Ferdinand De Saussure
Get PDFThe purpose of this study is to determine the values of struggle in the main character of the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho using Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach in the form of signifiers and signs. The method used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive method. The data used are paragraphs or dialogs in the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Data collection techniques in this study are data reduction techniques, namely by selecting data by focusing on the data needed according to the criteria and data analysis is carried out by grouping data, coding data, interpreting and describing data. The results obtained show that the novel The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho contains the values of the struggle carried out by the main character. These values include (1) the value of struggle in the form of self-sacrifice totaling 2 data, (2) the value of struggle in the form of price-respect totaling one data, (3) the value of struggle in the form of patience and unyielding spirit totaling 6 data, and (4) the value of cooperation struggle totaling 2 data. From the data that have been found, it shows that Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach can be used to analyze the values of struggle. This can be shown by the discovery of markers in the excerpts of the Alchemist's novel paragraphs that contain the markers of the values of struggle
Training on Ornamental Plant Cultivation using the Kokedama Technique in Tebang Kacang Village, Kubu Raya Regency
Get PDFThe majority of the people in Tebang Kacang village are Madurese who were displaced since the riots between the Madurese and Dayak ethnic groups in West Kalimantan in 2001. Until now, the Madurese people live in the village with very limited land available so that it is not possible to carry out agricultural cultivation which requires large land scale. The problem faced by the Dasa Wisma Mawar group of mothers who are partners in this PKM activity is that they are interested in carrying out an ornamental plant cultivation business, in the very limited time between their daily activities. This community service activity aims to increase knowledge and skills on how to make kokedama from moss and coco fiber for ornamental plants, increase knowledge about how to market kokedama products today. Implementation of service activities to empower housewives is carried out using lecture, discussion and demonstration methods. As a result of this service activity, overall participants liked the method of cultivating ornamental plants using the kokedama technique with a division of 14% preferring cultivation using the kokedama technique, 27% preferring cultivation using plastic flower pots and 53% preferred a combination of both.Pelatihan Budidaya Tanaman Hias dengan Teknik Kokedama Di Desa Tebang Kacang Kabupaten Kubu RayaABSTRAKMasyarakat desa Tebang Kacang mayoritas adalah suku Madura yang mengungsi sejak kerusuhan antar etnis Madura dan Dayak di Kalimantan Barat tahun 2001. Sampai sekarang masyarakat suku Madura tersebut tinggal menetap di desa tersebut dengan luas lahan yang disediakan sangat sempit sehingga tidak memungkinkan untuk melakukan budidaya pertanian yang memerlukan skala lahan yang besar. Titik permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok ibu-ibu Dasa Wisma Mawar yang menjadi mitra ada kegiatan PKM ini adalah berminat untuk melakukan usaha budidaya tanaman hias, diantara waktu yang sangat terbatas pada kegiatan sehari-hari. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan cara membuat kokedama dari lumut dan fiber coco utnuk media tanaman hias, meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang cara memasarkan produk kokedama di masa saat ini. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian pemberdayaan ibu rumah tangga dilakukan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini secara keseluruhan peserta menyukai cara budidaya tanaman hias dengan Teknik kokedama dengan pembagian 14 % lebih menyukai budidaya dengan Teknik kokedama, 27% lebih menyukai budidaya menggunakan pot bunga plastik dan 53 % menyukai kombinasi keduanyaKata Kunci :Pelatihan; Tanaman Hias; Teknik Kokedama

Get PDFCommunity Service Activities entitled Socialization of Table Tennis Refereeing to KKGO Duren Sawit, East Jakarta, aims to provide socialization regarding table tennis refereeing to members of KKGO Duren Sawit, East Jakarta. This socialization was carried out to improve participants' understanding and skills regarding the role of a referee in a table tennis match, as well as to provide an in-depth understanding of the applicable regulations in the sport. This activity includes the presentation of material regarding the duties of a referee, match regulations, and simulation of referee practice in a table tennis match. The results of this activity showed that participants experienced an increase in knowledge regarding table tennis refereeing, as well as acquired basic skills in decision-making as a referee. The response of participants to this activity was very positive, with many showing interest in becoming referees in local tournaments. However, to optimize the quality of refereeing at the local level, further training, more practice opportunities, and collaboration with related organizations or federations are needed. This socialization is expected to contribute to the development of the quality of refereeing and the organization of more professional table tennis tournaments in East Jakarta.Sosialisasi Perwasitan Tenis Meja kepada KKGO Duren Sawit, Jakarta TimurABSTRAKKegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat dengan judul Sosialisasi Perwasitan Tenis Meja kepada KKGO Duren Sawit, Jakarta Timur, bertujuan untuk memberikan sosialisasi mengenai perwasitan tenis meja kepada anggota KKGO Duren Sawit, Jakarta Timur. Sosialisasi ini dilaksanakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta terkait peran seorang wasit dalam pertandingan tenis meja, serta memberikan pemahaman mendalam mengenai peraturan yang berlaku dalam olahraga tersebut. Kegiatan ini meliputi pemaparan materi mengenai tugas wasit, peraturan pertandingan, serta simulasi praktik wasit dalam pertandingan tenis meja. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengalami peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai perwasitan tenis meja, serta memperoleh keterampilan dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan sebagai wasit. Tanggapan peserta terhadap kegiatan ini sangat positif, dengan banyak yang menunjukkan minat untuk menjadi wasit dalam turnamen lokal. Meskipun demikian, untuk mengoptimalkan kualitas perwasitan di tingkat lokal, dibutuhkan pelatihan lanjutan, kesempatan praktik lebih banyak, dan kolaborasi dengan organisasi atau federasi terkait. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan regresi linier berganda menggunakan software SPSS Statistics versi 2022, yang mana data tersebut akan diuraikan, dianalisis dan dibahas guna membuktikan kebenaran Hipotesis yang diajukan.Adapun hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: (1). Research is aimed at seeing an increased creative thinking ability in the use of e-book based canva for zero-one class x-1 man 1 muaro jambi. The study USES research and development using the ADDIE model research methods with canva based e-book learning media performed inside the classroom using the smartphone of each protege. Research conducted at man 1 muaro jambi. Research deduced the development of cana-based media learn-based e-book learning met valid, practical, and effective criteria. Valid criteria are validated by experts in materials, media, and language. Results of material validation with an 88% percentage, media validation with a 95% percentage, and language validation with a 70% percentage. Angket practically an educator with a 100% value and protege figure at an 89%. Effective criteria are seen the learner's observation sheets and the test results learn. The results of a 94% learner's observation sheet and the results of the learning results taken were obtained and the scores of each learner increased from the previous test scores. The Effect of Work Environment, Transformational Leadership Style, and Principal Management Skill Towards Teacher Performance: The Role of Teacher Competency as A Mediation Variable
Get PDFThis study aims to examine the effect of the work environment, transformational leadership style, and managerial skills of principals on teacher performance: the role of teacher competence as a mediating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach. This type of research is explanatory research that seeks to determine the causal relationship between variables. The data collection method in this study uses survey method with the sample used is total sampling because the total population is < 100 respondents. The data analysis technique in this study uses path analysis assisted by Smart PLS application. Based on the test results, it is known that work environment and managerial skills of the principal have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance and competence. Meanwhile, the transformational leadership style has not been able to influence competence and performance. In addition, it is known that teacher competence is able to mediate the relationship between the work environment, transformational leadership style, and managerial skills of principals on teacher performance. The findings in this study can be used as a basis for educational supervision to find solutions in an effort to improve the quality of education and can provide awareness for leaders in educational institutions, namely schools that their role in managing an institution will affect the performance of employees, especially teachers
COACHING CLIMATE: ITS IMPACT ON STUDENTS' MENTAL HEALTH IN EDUCATIONAL SETTINGS
Get PDFThis research aims to investigate the relationship between mental health and motivation climate among coaches, considering gender differences. Although sports psychology among coaches is increasingly recognized as an essential element in athlete performance, research examining mental health and motivation climate among coaches remains limited. The study was conducted by administering questionnaires to 40 sports coaches, comprising 20 male coaches and 20 female coaches, active in various sports disciplines. The questionnaire was designed to assess the level of mental health and coaches' perceptions of the motivation climate created within the training environment. Statistical analysis results indicate that there is no significant correlation between mental health and the motivation climate created by coaches, both for male and female coaches. However, an interesting finding is that coaches' mental health has a greater influence on their performance than motivation climate. The implications of this research highlight the need for greater attention to coaches' mental health in efforts to enhance their performance. A better training environment can be created by considering coaches' mental well-being, which in turn will positively impact the motivation and performance of the athletes they coach. Additionally, this research also contributes to the literature on sports psychology, particularly in the context of sports coaching. In conclusion, this study demonstrates that coaches' mental health plays a crucial role in their success in coaching athletes, while the motivation climate created by them may not have the same significant impact. A better understanding of these dynamics can assist in the development of more effective strategies and programs to enhance coaches' well-being and the performance of the athletes they coach

Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the form of modality contained in class III thematic books. The method used in this study is the elucidating strategy. The form of research used is subjective with a balanced approach. The source of information used in this exam was Topical textbooks for class III SD-MI with a book size of 29.7 cm and 70 gr HVS paper type. Multicolor book tone with an extraordinary limitation technique, brand with a replacement book model and distributed by the Instruction office in 2018. The instrument used in this study was to use multimodal content analysis study tables in student books which contain themes, sub-themes, learning, pages titles, forms of activities/pages (images) that contain multimodal using table analysis of ideational, interpersonal, and textual meaning intersemiosis. Checking the information used by this researcher is content investigation. The results of the data analysis that the researcher did, from the three Thematic Learning books for class III SD, not all of them contain a multimodal form. Researchers only found 26 data from the three thematic books. In the three themes the researcher found verbal multimodal forms and nonverbal multimodal forms. Of the 26 data, 11 data contained verbal multimodal forms and 15 data contained non-verbal multimodal forms
