The Influence of the Problem Based Learning Model on Student Activity and Learning Outcomes in Business Economics Elements
The low level of student engagement and achievement in vocational economics learning necessitates the application of innovative instructional models. This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on student learning activity and outcomes in the Economic Business subject. A quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group was employed. The participants were 61 tenth-grade students from SMK Negeri 1 Painan, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using validated instruments: learning outcome tests and observation sheets. Descriptive and inferential statistics, including independent samples t-tests, were used for data analysis. Results show that the experimental group, which received PBL treatment, had significantly higher posttest scores (M = 89.90) and N-Gain (0.72) compared to the control group (M = 76.68; N-Gain = 0.35). Student activity in the experimental group also increased steadily across sessions. Statistical tests confirmed that the differences in both outcomes and activity were significant (p < 0.05). Generative Learning Model Refun Box Help On The Mathematic Connection Ability Of Junior High School
Mathematical connection skills are crucial because they are one of the goals of mathematics learning in secondary schools. Students who can connect mathematical concepts mathematically will have a deeper understanding and be able to retain them for longer. This study aims to determine the effect of generative learning models assisted by the refun box props on students' mathematical connection abilities, to find out the motivation and learning response of students using learning with generative models assisted by the refun box props on the relations and functions of class VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Singkawang. This study uses a Quasi-Experimental design. The population in this study were 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Singkawang which consisted of eight classes totaling 253 students. Samples were taken by purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of two classes, namely VIIIH grade students as an experimental class (using the Generative learning model assisted by the Refund Box teaching aid) and VIIIF grade students as a control class (using direct learning models). The analysis shows: 1) there are differences in students' mathematical connection ability between classes using generative learning models assisted by refun box teaching aids and classes using direct learning models; 2) the effect of generative learning models assisted by refun box props on students' mathematical connection ability is high; 3) student learning motivation is categorized high; 4) student learning responses are categorized as good.Model Pembelajaran Generatif Berbantuan Alat Peraga Kotak Refun Terhadap Kemampuan Koneksi Matematis Siswa SMPN 4 SingkawangABSTRAKKemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan satu diantara kemampuan yang sangat penting karena kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu tujuan dari pembelajaran matematika ditingkat sekolah menengah. Siswa yang dapat menghubungkan konsep-konsep matematika secara matematis, siswa tersebut akan memiliki pemahaman yang lebih mendalam dan dapat bertahan lebih lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran pembelajaran generatif berbantuan alat peraga kotak refun terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa, motivasi dan respon belajar siswa saat pembelajaran dengan model generatif berbantuan alat peraga kotak refun pada materi relasi dan fungsi kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 4 Singkawang yang terdiri dari delapan kelas yang berjumlah 253 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIIIH sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIF sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: 1) adanya perbedaan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan alat peraga kotak refun dengan kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; 2) pengaruh model pembelajaran generatif berbantuan alat peraga kotak refun terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa tergolong tinggi; 3) motivasi belajar siswa dikategorikan tinggi; 4) respon belajar siswa dikategorikan baik.Kata Kunci :Model Pembelajaran Generatif; Media Kotak Refun; Koneksi Matematis; Motivasi Belajar; Respon Belajar
Continuance Usage E-Wallet: Menguji Pengaruh Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Security, dan Trust
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh perceived security dan perceived ease of use terhadap continuance usage e-wallet melalui trust. Penelitian ini dilandasi oleh ketatnya persaingan yang semakin antara e-wallet dan layanan mobile banking, serta masih terbatasnya pemahaman mengenai beberapa faktor yang mendorong pemanfaatan ulang e-wallet. Penelitian ini mempergunakan pendekatan kuantitatif untuk menguji pengaruh antar variabel serta jenis penelitian kausal. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei terhadap 184 responden yang merupakan pengguna aktif e-wallet. Analisis data mempergunakan teknik Structural Equation Modeling berbasis Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa perceived ease of use memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap continuance usage baik secara langsung maupun tidak melalui trust. Sementara itu, perceived security hanya berpengaruh langsung terhadap continuance usage, namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap trust. Temuan riset ini mempunyai implikasi bahwa kemudahan penggunaan tidak hanya meningkatkan penggunaan ulang, tetapi juga berperan penting dalam membangun kepercayaan terhadap e-wallet. Hasil penelitian ini mengindikasikan perceived security tidak membentuk trust, sehingga mengindikasikan perilaku penggunaan e-wallet hanya dipergunakan pada transaksi dengan jumlah nilai yang terbatas. Penelitian ini mengindikasikan bahwa penyedia layanan e-wallet disarankan untuk mengutamakan pada penyederhanaan fitur dan peningkatan pengalaman pengguna
Health Belief Model-Based Education for Stroke Patient Families: A Research and Development Study
This study aims to develop educational media based on the Health Belief Model (HBM), to analyse the effectiveness of this educational media in terms of the HBM, and to enhance family capacity. Using a modified Borg & Gall model, this study employed a Research and Development (R&D) methodology. The process included a needs analysis, product design, expert validation, limited testing, and subsequent adjustments. The efficacy of an educational pamphlet based on HBM in enhancing the knowledge and caregiving abilities of carers was evaluated. Purposive sampling was used to choose thirty stroke carers from Jember, Indonesia, with a minimum caregiving duration of at least one month. Pre- and post-tests, as well as HBM-based perception questionnaires, were used to gather data. Descriptive statistics, the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, and thematic analysis were used for analysis. The leaflet's quality was confirmed by the high Content Validity Index (CVI = 0.88) obtained through validation by three experts. Following the intervention, the percentage of carers with low knowledge decreased from 40% to 7%, while the percentage of carers with good knowledge grew considerably from 13% to 67% (p < 0.05). Furthermore, 76.7% of participants provided positive feedback, emphasising the leaflet's utility, clarity, and simplicity. Improvements in carers' motivation, self-assurance, and comprehension of stroke care were revealed by thematic analysis. Stroke carers' knowledge and self-efficacy were both improved by the HBM-based educational pamphlet. Knowledge retention and behavioural modification were facilitated by the well-organised, understandable content and visually appealing design. These results highlight the value of empowering families to provide long-term stroke care at home by utilising theory-based, easily navigable instructional resources
Development Of An Arduino Iot System Solar Cell Electronic Practicum Guide Based On An Automatic Feed Thrower Prototype To Develop Students' Science Process Skills
Science learning, especially in physics, is an abstract concept and difficult for students to understand. In addition, there is also a need for a bridge that can connect physics concepts with life in the student's daily environment. Therefore, technological innovations are needed in learning such as developing an electronic practicum guidebook for solar cells, Arduino IoT systems based on automatic feed thrower prototypes to develop students' science process skills. This study used a 4D model. The subjects of this study were 6th semester S1 Science students totaling 52 students. The data generation instrument uses questionnaires and implementation observation sheets. Data analysis techniques use qualitative and qualitative. Based on the results of the validation that has been carried out, the practicum guide that has been prepared as a whole has eligibility criteria that are very feasible to use, with a percentage of 92.25%, while the students' science process skills in the solar cell electronic practicum guide for the Arduino IoT system based on the prototype of this automatic feed thrower get an average of 92% with a very good category so that it can be considered that students are good at understanding and Work on the basis of practicum guidelines developed
THE INFLUENCE OF GLOBALIZATION ON THE TEACHING STYLES OF GEOGRAPHY TEACHERS IN INDONESIA
Abstract. This study aims to analyze the impact of globalization on the teaching style of geography teachers in Indonesia. The main focus of this research is to identify the extent to which globalization influences four key parameters in teaching: technology adaptation, multiculturalism, global literacy and skills, and educational standards and evaluation. The method used is a survey involving 100 geography teachers from 19 provinces in Indonesia, who assessed their responses to these parameters using a Likert scale. The regression analysis results show that globalization has a significant impact on teaching styles, with a regression coefficient of 0.7486, meaning that every increase in adaptation to globalization enhances the teaching style by 0.7486 units. The R² value of 60.40% and the adjusted R² of 58.78% indicate that around 60% of the variation in teaching style can be explained by the influence of globalization. These findings suggest that globalization encourages teachers to integrate technology into their teaching, promote multicultural values, and apply international educational standards. This study concludes that the influence of globalization on teaching styles in Indonesia is substantial and fosters an improvement in the quality of geography education.Keywords: Globalization, Teaching Style, Geography Teacher
Argumentation Skills in Physisc Implementation: A Systematic Literature Review
The aim of this study are to analyze and describe the reasoning skills of students from primary school until college in understanding the learning concept and application of physics. This research focuses on the factors that influence students' concept understanding and argumentation skills in physics. The research method used was systematic literature review (SLR), a literature study in which data was collected through various published articles relevant to reasoning skills in physics from 2019 to 2023. The implementation of this research was done by collecting data through scientific articles published and indexed in the Scopus database. The data analysis technique used is the PRISMA flowchart with different levels and the VOSviewer application. The results showed that the factors effecting argumentation ability in learning physics are influenced by the learning model used, the learning approach, the way the teacher guides the learning activities, as well as environmental factors and community life
The Effect of the Use of Digital-Based Information Systems on User Satisfaction and the Effectiveness of Administrative Data Management at Madrasah Tsanawiyah
This study aims to analyze the effect of using digital-based information systems in Madrasahs on user satisfaction and the effectiveness of administrative data management in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri Padang Pariaman Regency. The research approach is quantitative with survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using statistical tests with Smart PLS Version 3. The results showed that the use of digital-based information systems significantly increased user satisfaction, with Original Sample 0.727, T Statistics 0.733, and P Values 0.034. However, this system does not have a significant effect on the effectiveness of administrative data management, with Original Sample 0.595, T Statistics 0.600, and P Values 0.062. This finding indicates that digital-based information systems are more effective in increasing user satisfaction than the effectiveness of administrative data management. Therefore, system implementation needs to be improved to optimize its benefits on both aspects
Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan di Era Society 5.0: Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap Tantangan dan Implementasi
This study aims to analyze the role of character education based on Civic Education (PKn) in the era of Society 5.0, focusing on its implementation challenges and strategies. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study examines a variety of literature relevant to the topic. The results of the study show that character education in PKn plays an important role in shaping students' morals, civic awareness, and social values. However, the main challenge faced is the negative influence of digital technology on student morality, as well as the lack of integration between schools, families, and society in instilling character values consistently. Therefore, strategies that can be applied include the integration of technology in learning, contextual approaches based on local wisdom, and strengthening collaboration between schools, families, and communities. This study concludes that character education in PKn must adapt to technological developments to ensure that the nation's character is maintained in the digital era
KRITIK IDEOLOGIS DALAM NARASI SEJARAH ORDE BARU: ANALISIS WACANA KRITIS NORMAN FAIRCLOUGH PADA BUKU TEKS IPS KELAS IX KEMENDIKBUD
This research focuses on how the author narrates the political, economic, and social life development of the community in the New Order historical material in the Social Science Class IX textbook, as well as how the results of writing the New Order historical theme are reviewed from the perspective of critical discourse analysis of the Norman Fairclough model. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data sources in the form of Class IX Social Sciences textbooks. The data collection technique was carried out through documentation and interviews, with the researcher as the main instrument. The data analysis uses the Norman Fairclough model critical discourse analysis approach, which includes text analysis, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. The results of the study show that the writing of content about political, economic, and social life developments during the New Order period in the textbook contains bias against certain interests. An unbalanced selection of facts indicates the existence of framing that favors certain parties. Although the author has no specific political affiliation, the references used are controversial regarding the truth of historical facts. In addition, framing in textbooks is done consciously, influenced by the author's background growing up in the government environment
