    Pengaruh Game Online Terhadap Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa Komunikasi Digital dan Media Sekolah Vokasi IPB Angkatan 59

    Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh intensitas penggunaan game online terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Komunikasi Digital dan Media Sekolah Vokasi IPB angkatan 59. Dengan metode kuantitatif, data dikumpulkan dari mahasiswa yang aktif bermain game online melalui kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis secara statistik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden (90%) merasa game online tidak berdampak signifikan terhadap nilai akademik mereka. Selain itu, 72 responden tetap termotivasi dalam belajar meskipun bermain game online, menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan tersebut tidak mengurangi semangat belajar. Namun, aspek visual dari game online memengaruhi durasi bermain bagi 84% responden, sehingga mereka cenderung bermain lebih lama. Meskipun mayoritas responden lebih memilih belajar dibanding bermain game online, 43 responden merasa sulit untuk berhenti bermain setelah memulai, menandakan daya tarik yang kuat dari game online. Dalam hal produktivitas, mayoritas responden menyatakan tidak terganggu dan tetap dapat menyelesaikan tugas kuliah tepat waktu. Sebagian besar responden bermain game online setiap hari, tetapi tidak lebih dari 5 jam per hari. Secara keseluruhan, meskipun beberapa responden merasakan gangguan terhadap akademik, mayoritas tidak merasakan dampak negatif yang signifikan pada prestasi akademik, nilai kuliah, atau kewajiban tugas kuliah mereka

    Pengaruh Model Discovery Learning Untuk Meningkatkan Literasi Sains Siswa

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model discovery learning terhadap peningkatan literasi sains siswa di kelas V SD. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain true-eksperimental dengan rancangan post-test only control group. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 40 siswa kelas V SD 84 Singkawang yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model discovery learning, sedangkan kelompok kontrol dibelajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok eksperimen rata-rata 65 dan kelompok kontrol dengan rata-rata sebersar 57. Hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok eksperimen yang dibelajarkan dengan model discovery learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok kontrol yang dibelajarkan dengan model pembelajaran langsung

    UNICEF Efforts to End Child Marriage in Nigeria 2020-2022

    This study described the efforts made by UNICEF in addressing child marriage in Nigeria in 2020-2022. Nigeria is the fourth country with the most child marriages in West Africa in 2022. This study was written descriptively. The source of data used as material for analysis was taken from 2020-2022 and came from literature reviews in the form of reports official UNICEF documents and journal articles. The method used in this study was a qualitative method that was descriptive and analytical. The results of this study indicated that UNICEF's efforts to address child marriage in Nigeria had not fully addressed the practice of child marriage in Nigeria due to various factors and challenges such as traditions and culture in Nigeria and the time required to resolve the problem are not a few that hinder efforts being made

    Kreativitas, kolaboratif, berfikir kritis dan komunikatif merupakan keterampilan abad 21 yang harus dimiliki setiap mahasiswa dalam menghadapi berbagai tantangan global. Kemampuan ini dapat dikembangkan melalui berbagai aktivitas pembelajaran yang berkualitas dan mendukung kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa. Salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan media interaktif yang dapat memenuhi kebutuhan belajar mahasiswa dan menyajikan informasi pembelajaran yang aktual dan sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai kebutuhan mahasiswa akan pengembangan media interaktif yang dapat mendukung kegiatan pembelajaran. Metode penelitian yang digunakan merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 71 mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya yang mengikuti mata kuliah Teori Ekonomi Mikro di semester ganjil tahun 2023. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil bahwa penggunaan media interaktif dalam perkuliah masih belum banyak dilakukan, sehingga mahasiswa masih mengalami kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang bersifat abstrak dalam pembelajaran. Mahasiswa membutuhkan media interaktif yang memiliki kemudahan dalam akses dan penggunaannya salah satunya dengan memanfaatkan liveworksheets. Selanjutnya, media yang dibutuhkan harus mampu menumbuhkan kemampuan dalam membangun pengetahuannya melalui aktivitas pembelajaran berbasis kasus (case based learning) yang memberikan pengalaman pembelajaran kontekstual. Dengan demikian, studi pendahuluan ini dapat dijadikan pijakan bagi peneliti dalam mengembangkan media interaktif liveworksheets dengan pendekatan case based learning untuk mendukung aktivitas pembelajaran

    Hawking Temperature Modification and the Physical Dynamics of Black Holes: A Study of the Influence of Internal and Cosmological Variables

    The main objective of the study is to develop a model that modifies the traditional Hawking temperature by considering the influence of internal variables such as radius, mass, electric charge, angular momentum, and cosmological constant. The research method involves mathematical analysis and computational modeling based on the modified Hawking temperature equation. The results show that the modified Hawking temperature produces non-linear corrections that show the interaction between black holes and the quantum structure of spacetime. graphical representations visualize the variation of Hawking temperature with changes in area, electric charge, angular momentum, and cosmological parameters. The implications of the research extend to the understanding of the thermal properties of black holes in the context of gravitational and quantum theories. The research identifies gaps in the knowledge of the effects of cosmological parameters on black hole thermodynamics and introduces Hawking temperature modifications that have not been mapped in detail before. The study concludes that the Hawking temperature modification provides a strong foundation for further research in black hole physics, particularly in the effect of physical and cosmological parameters on the thermal properties of black holes

    Efectiveness of Argumentation Flipped Learning (AFL) Assisted by Macromedia Flash Software to Improve Student’s Understanding of Physics Concepts

    The objective of this research was to assess the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of enhancing students' comprehension of physics concepts. The research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method use ADDIE model. This research was conducted in Physics Education of Muhammadiyah Purworejo University with the research subjects of 4th semester students in a limited trial of 5 students and a broad trial of 8 students. The instruments used in this study were lesson plan validation sheet, media validation sheet, lesson plan implementation sheet, student activity sheet, physics concept understanding test sheet, scoring rubric, student response questionnaire, and notes on educational activities. Data evaluation techniques were quantitative, N-gain, and T-Test. The results of the study obtained (1) the validity of the application of the AFL model assisted by macromedia flash software was declared valid, (2) the practicality of the application of the AFL model assisted by macromedia flash software, as seen from the implementation of the lesson plan obtained an average of 3.72 in the good category and the reliability test was 93%, (3) the effectiveness of the application of the AFL model assisted by macromedia flash software, as seen from the results of increasing concept understanding obtained N-gain value of 0.68 which is included in the moderate category, response questionnaire with good category, and student activity with good category. It is concluded that the application of AFL model assisted by macromedia flash software is valid, practical, and effective

    Developing Web Based Learning Media Using Wordpress in Light Material at SMP/MTS

    The purpose of this research was to find out the result of development and feasibility of web based learning media in light material. The method used in this research was Research and Development (R&D) with 4D development model namely the stage of define, design, develop, and disseminate. The subjects of this study were material expert validators, media expert validators, teachers and 26 students at Islamic Junior High School (MTS) of Darul Ulum Palangkaraya. This research gained the result namely first, the media developed in the form of web based learning media in light material has components such as menu, animation picture, practice simulation, example of question, glossary, and evaluation question which can be accessed through website via online. The second, the feasibility of web based learning media seen from the suitability measured through media validation, material validation, teachers’ response, and students’ response. The result of media validation gained total average score 80 in excellent criteria. The result of material validation gained average score 76,5 in excellent criteria. The result of teacher’s response on web based teaching material gained total score 67 in excellent criteria. The result of students’ response concerning the web based teaching material gained total score 36,52 in excellent criteria. Based on the results of the study, it can be implied that this web-based teaching material is valid and can be used to improve the quality of student learning

    RADEC Learning Model: Practicum to Enhance Students' Science Process Skills on Temperature and Heat

    This study aims to analyze the implementation of the RADEC learning model with practicum method in enhancing students' science process skills on temperature and heat material. The method used in this research is quasi-experiment with nonequivalent control group design. The study was conducted at MA Negeri 1 Tasikmalaya with a research population of 263 students across 8 classes of XI MIPA. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the sample, resulting in XI MIPA 5 as the experimental group and XI MIPA 3 as the control group. To measure students' science process skills, pretest and posttest in the form of reasoned multiple-choice questions were administered, totaling 12 items representing 6 basic science process skill indicators on temperature and heat material. Data analysis techniques included expert validation, instrument testing, analysis of science process skills mastery, analysis of learning model feasibility, N-Gain analysis, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing. The hypothesis testing results using t-test at a significance level ( = 0.05) showed that after the implementation of the RADEC learning model with practicum method, tobserved > tcritical, specifically 3.43 > 1.67, thus rejecting H0 and accepting Ha. Therefore, with 95% confidence level, it can be concluded that the application of the RADEC learning model with practicum method effectively enhances students' science process skills on temperature and heat material. From this research, the RADEC learning model with the practicum method can be the choice of learning model applied in Physics learning and as a means of practicing for students in improving science process skills

    The Influence of English College Students’ Learning Environment and Self-Directed Learning on Their Academic Achievement

    The current research aims to investigate the influence of English Language Education Department students’ learning environment and self-directed learning towards their academic achievement. Moreover, it also investigates how the students’ learning environment, self-directed learning, and academic achievement scores differ by their educational level. This research was an ex post facto research design. The participants involved in the current research were 106 consisted of 73 undergraduate students and 33 graduate students of the English Language Education Department at Yogyakarta State University. They were selected based on convenience sampling. This research adopted two instruments namely EFL Learning Environment Questionnaire (QEFL-LE) developed by Mutlu (2017) and Self-Directed Learning Scale (SDLS) questionnaire from Lounsbury et al. (2009). Before carrying out the investigation, a pilot study was conducted to improve the validity and reliability of the instruments. Furthermore, composite questionnaires were distributed, resulting in three quantitative data sets of students’ learning environment, self-directed learning, and academic achievement. Finally, both descriptive and inferential statistics were performed using IBM SPSS to analyze the data. The findings reported that there were significant differences in the students’ scores in learning environment, self-directed learning, and academic achievement based on their educational level (bachelor’s and master’s degree). In addition, the scores of master’s degree students consistently surpassed those of bachelor’s degree students in every variable in the current research. Furthermore, it confirms that students’ academic achievement was significantly influenced by their learning environment and self-directed learning. Moreover, students’ learning environment and self-directed are simultaneously become the best predictor of their academic achievement.     Effectiveness Of PJBL And PBL Models On Numerative Literacy Based On Local Wisdom In Elementary Schools

    The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of the PjBL (Project Based Learning) and PBL (Problem Based Learning) models on literacy and numeracy abilities based on local knowledge in elementary schools. In this work, a quantitative method and a quasi-experimental design are used. Students in fifth grade at SD Muhammadiyah 08 Cilacap made up the study population, and two classes—fifth grade students in class A using the PjBL model and fifth grade students in class B using the PBL model—made up the research sample. The tool being utilized is a test tool. Prior to usage, the instruments, which included multiple-choice and essay questions, underwent validity and reliability testing. Before managing and after administering therapy, the instrument was utilized for a posttest and pretest. This study aims to retest Nirmala's research (2023), which claims that Problem Based Learning has a greater average score of 82.68 for participant literacy and an average score of 81.00 for students' numerization. This finding appears to be in conflict with Ariyani and Prasetyo's research (2021), which reports a Particle eta Squared of 0.161 with a significance value of 0.079, indicating that the impact of Problem Based Learning and Problem Sol The usefulness of the PjBL model with the PBL model on locally based numeracy and literacy skills in elementary schools is examined in this study. The independent sample t-test and the paired sample t-test were used to test hypotheses. Before using the PjBL learning paradigm with PBL based on local wisdom, the typical daily test score for classes 5A and 5B was 55.95 and 59.7, respectively. The average score after managing the implementation of the PBL model is 77.7 in class 5A and 91.8 in class 5B, compared to 62, 15, and 66.6 after handling the implementation of the PjBL model in class 5A. The findings indicated that the PBL model was superior than the PjBL model in terms of improving reading and numeracy abilities based on local wisdom in elementary schools
