    Get PDF
The students’ conceptual understanding and procedural fluency have not been yet integrated into the mathematics learning as the teachers’ common mathematics textbook has not explicitly explained the conceptual understanding and procedural fluency in solving the mathematical problems that the teachers have not yet connected it to the mathematics learning. The interview result shows that the students only memorize the procedures without understanding. If the procedure is continuously applied, it is predicted that the students may face the epistemological obstacles in solving the mathematical problems. This research aims at developing the students' mathematics conceptual understanding and procedural fluency through the Didactic Anticipatory Approach equipped with the teaching aids in learning the operations of integer multiplication at Junior High School in Grade VIII. This pedagogical action research involves 14 students. The research data are collected using tests, interviews, voice recorders and cameras. The result shows that learning mathematics through the Didactic Anticipatory Approach equipped with teaching aids may develop the students' conceptual understanding and mathematics procedural fluency marked by the reduced students’ epistemological obstacles. However, they are not yet been completely resolved. In addition, the students’ preferences towards the techniques used by the lecturer are also pointed out by the use of direct observation to the classroom and semi-structured interview to the students. As a result, Oral Drill and Modeling appear to be the most techniques used by the lecturer and get the students’ preference in 20%. Meanwhile, the use of Real Object only appears once along the researchers’ observation which also takes 20% of the students’ preference. The last result which is obtained by the researchers is that the use of games attracts the students’ attention with 40% of preference. Interestingly, the students promote positive attitudes when the lecturer is applying the games to have them practice their pronunciation. They feel enjoyable and can acquire the pronunciation subject easier. Those findings imply that an evaluative assessment is needed in order to gain better quality of the students’ English pronunciation and reflect what technique seems to give more significant effect to the students’ production in pronunciation

The purpose of this study is to examine and analyze how PAD (Local Original Revenue) and DAU (General Allocation Fund) affect direct and indirect economic growth. This paper differs from previous research, which generally places economic growth as an exogenous factor, and the results remain inconsistent. While this research puts the variable of economic growth in an endogenous position that is factor influenced by public expenditure, which in this context is the allocation of capital expenditure. PAD is an indicator of local government productivity that is influenced by local government innovations in the development of productive assets. DAU is one aspect of funding derived from government transfers used for public spending. The results of this study indicate that PAD has no significant effect on capital expenditure allocation. PAD is also an indicator of regional independence in providing financing sources of regional development. Theoretically, the greater the PAD of an area, the more independent the region is. But for whatever achievement PAD, if there is inefficiency in the management, the amount of PAD will be absorbed for operational financing, so it does not affect the capital expenditure for investment purposes. DAU has a significant influence on capital expenditure and economic growth. The total effect of DAU on Economic Growth through the Capital Expenditure is 0.359 or 36 percent. While the indirect effect of DAU (0.082 or 8 percent) is lower than the direct impact on economic growth (28 percent). This proves that capital expenditure variables have a role as a mediating variable, in the form of partial mediation
