The Effect of The Principal's Transformational Leadership and Work Motivation Toward Service Quality to Teachers of Private Islamic Junior High School (MTs) in Pontianak
Get PDFThe problems that occur in the madrasahh are caused by the lack of quality of service in which the madrasahh principal leadership in Pontianak is not supported and the work motivation of teachers in improving education. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership and work motivation of madrasahhh principals on the quality of service for private MTs in Pontianak. This study uses a quantitative approach and a type of descriptive research. The sample in this study were 70 teachers selected based on the sample random sampling technique. Data collection research was conducted by questionnaire and documentation. The results obtained from this study are that there is a significant effect between transformational principals' leadership and work motivation on service quality to Pontianak MTs teachers
The Evaluation of Coramil Model Program in KODIM (District Military Command) 1207/BS at Pontianak City
Get PDFThe Koramil Model program that is formed at this time, especially those in the Kodim 1207/BS Pontianak ranks has not yet described the expected results in accordance with the objectives of the establishment of the Koramil Model. This study aims to improve the quality of Apkowil through an evaluation of the Koramil Model program at Kodim 1207/BS Pontianak. This type of research is evaluative research. The program evaluation procedure for the Koramil Model in Kodim 1207/BS Pontianak in this study uses evaluation of the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, and Product). The results of this study indicate that (1) the results of the context evaluation of the Koramil Model program at Kodim 1207/BS Pontianak containing program planning fall into less criteria; (2) the results of the evaluation of inputs (input) of the Koramil Model Program in Kodim 1207/BS Pontianak are included in the criteria of very few; (3) the results of the evaluation of the Koramil Model program implementation process at the Kodim 1207/BS Pontianak included in the criteria were not appropriate; (4) the results of the evaluation of the Koramil Model program at the Kodim 1207/BS Pontianak included in the criteria of lacking
Implementation of Peer-Teaching Learning Methods to Improve the Students’ Learning Outcomes on Features of Modern/Contemporary Art
Get PDFThis study aims to improve the students’ learning outcomes on features of modern/contemporary art after being implemented peer-teaching learning methods. This study is a classroom action research that consisted of two cycles. Each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study was conducted on students of class XII IPS1 the second semester of the academic year 2018/2019 in SMA Negeri 1 Wirosari, Wirosari District, Grobogan. Variables of this study was consisted of: (1) the control variable is students of class XII IPS1 with total of 37 people that consisted of 12 boys and 25 girls; (2) the independent variable in the form of cooperative learning model of peer-teaching learning methods; and (3) the dependent variable is students’ learning outcomes. The data collection technique in this study was done by using the test in the form of a written assessment test questions do with the end of each learning cycle and non-test technique by using the observations, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the average value of students’ learning outcomes has increased, this is evidenced from the increase of students’ learning outcomes of Pre-Cycle with the average of 68.16 increased in Cycle I after being implemented peer-teaching methods becomes to 76.61, and eventually could be increased again in Cycle II into 89.28
Headmaster Leadership in Increasing Effective School (Case Study of Primary School (SDN) 06 Tae Tukong)
Get PDFThe roles and responsibilities of principals and teachers in achieving school success in preparing learning programs or programs are very important. The purpose of this study is to find out (1) the preparation of effective school planning at SDN Tae Tukong; (2) Principal leadership in implementing effective schools in SDN 06 Tae Tukong (3) Supervision of school principals on the implementation of teachers in SDN 06 Tae Tukong; (3) Evaluation of teacher performance at SDN 06 Tae Tukong conducted by the principal; and (4) Supporting and inhibiting factors that influence the leadership of school principals in achieving effective schools at SDN 06 Tae Tukong. This study uses a qualitative approach with a type of case study research. Research results obtained include (1) Planning for improving effective schools in SD 06 Tae Tukong is included in the medium-term school work plan and annual plans; (2) Empowerment of existing resources in schools has been carried out properly in accordance with their respective duties and responsibilities; (3) The principal has implemented measures to improve effective schools; (4) Factors supporting school principals in improving effective schools are the ability of principals to manage all school planning, adequate school facilities, and support from parents; (5) Inhibiting factors in improving effective schools are related to the performance of principals, learning facilities, and teachers lack discipline. Based on the research conducted, it can be concluded that improving the quality of school education is related to the performance of the principal
Visionary Leadership of Principals in Increasing School Quality at SMKN 1 Sambas
Get PDFThis study is aimed at objectively looking at the visionary leadership of principals in improving the quality of schools in Sambas 1 State Vocational School (SMKN 1 Sambas). This study uses a qualitative approach. The results showed that SMKN 1 Sambas was a school that was guided by a vision to improve school quality. Improving the quality of schools at SMKN 1 Sambas is achieved through a good school management process by the principal. Based on the findings, researchers suggest: 1) In implementing the school activity program there needs to be control and evaluation of each program implemented. 2) It is recommended to periodically rotate teachers and employees who are given additional assignments. 3) Increase the discipline and commitment of teachers and employees in carrying out the duties and responsibilities assigned to them. 4) Schools need to hold special meetings with parents who discuss the Vision, Mission, and Objectives of the school and convey the importance of the support and role of parents in the education process of their children in school

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK TALK WRITE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI MENULIS TEKS BERITA
Get PDFTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TTW (think talk write) terhadap keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 12 Singkawang. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan bentuk pree-eksperimental desaign dan jenis one group pre-test dan post-test design. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelaas VIII D. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes hasil belajar yang digunakan sebanyak 2 soal setelah melalui proses uji validasi. Soal dinyatakan valid dengan reliabilitas 0,9 dan dengan kategori sangat tinggi atau layak digunakan. Hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata hasil tes keterampilan menulis teks berita siswa sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran TTW (tink talk write) yaitu 56,4. Sedangkan hasil perhitungan nilai rata-rata hasil tes keteramlpilan menulis teks berita siswa setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran TTW (think talk write) mengalami peningkatan yaitu 77,6. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode staistik uji-t (uji beda). Pengujian uji-t mendapatkan hasil dengan = 8,72 dengan menggunakan taraf signifikansi α = 0,01, dan = 2,69. Dengan > atau 8,72 > 2,69 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan keterampilan menulis teks berita dengan model pembelajaran TTW (think talk write) dan dengan tidak menggunakan model pembelajaran TTW (think talk write). Penggunaan model TTW (think talk write) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, dengan demikian model TTW ini dapat diterapkan disekolah agar hasil belajar siswa semakin meningkat

Get PDFPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran SFE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, aktivitas dan motivasi belajar siswa saat pembelajaran dengan model SFE pada materi aljabar kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas VIII SMP Negeri 13 Singkawang yang terdiri dari empat kelas yang berjumlah 90 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas VIIID sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIA sebagai kelas kontrol. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: 1) adanya perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa antara kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran SFE dengan kelas yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; 2) pengaruh model pembelajaran SFE terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa tergolong tinggi; 3) aktivitas belajar siswa secara keseluruhan sangat aktif; 4) motivasi belajar siswa dikategorikan tinggi
Strategies to Improve Education Quality through Facilities and Infrastructures Management in Singkawang Vocational School
Get PDFThe school is a social institution whose existence is part of the nation's social system which aims to produce capable, democratic, responsible, faithful, faithful, physically and spiritually healthy individuals, possessing knowledge and skills, having a steady and independent personality. To achieve these objectives, a strong curriculum is needed, both infrastructure and superstructure. This study aimed to reveal the strategy to improve the quality of education through the management of facilities and infrastructure in Singkawang 1 Vocational High School (SMK) with a focus on 1) Facilities and infrastructure planning at Singkawang State Vocational School, 2) The use of facilities and infrastructure in Singkawang Vocational School 1, 3) Supervision of Facilities and Infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang, 4) Reporting on facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang, 5) Obstacles faced in facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang. The research method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collected by in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, conclusions or verification. Data reliability testing is done by extending the observation period, and triangulation and member checking. The results of the study concluded: 1) planning of facilities and infrastructure programs have been made by the student department to develop facilities in school activities. 2) The use of facilities and infrastructure is carried out in accordance with the learning needs by each teacher and regulated and monitored in an orderly manner, 3) Supervision of facilities and infrastructure has been carried out directly by the school principal, 4) Reporting has been carried out periodically by the student body to the principal school, 5) Constraints faced in facilities and infrastructure are financing both for procurement and maintenance. Based on the results of the study suggested the following things: 1) The principal is expected to optimize the supervision of all activities that have been planned so that the specified goals can be achieved. 2) Need to involve the community in the procurement of financing and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure. 3) Teachers, the administration is expected to be involved in the management of facilities and infrastructure
THE INFLUENCE OF EWOM THROUGH INSTAGRAM SOCIAL MEDIA ON ONLINE PURCHASE INTENTION OF PRODUCTS: STUDY IN THE CITY OF BATAM
Get PDFIn general, this study aims to determine the effect of eWOM through social media Instagram on the purchase intention of products online in Batam City. This study uses a quantitative approach. The sample in this study amounted to 113 respondents who were users of social media Instagram. This research instrument using a questionnaire and analyzed using techniques Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of the SmartPLS 2.0 program. The results of this study indicate that trust, informational influence, moral obligation have significant involvement in eWOM, but the altruism variable does not have a significant effect on eWOM through social media Instagram and eWOM through social media Instagram has a strong influence on purchase intention of products online in Batam City. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the exchange of information through eWOM can lead to consumer buying interest
