Investigating Literary Terminologies to Accomplish Literary Research and Enjoyment: A Corpus Study
In relation to producing, enjoying, and especially criticizing literature, some literary terminologies are used frequently. Thus, corpus in the field of Literature is urgently needed to compile. This study aims to compile literary terminologies found in Literature and Language Teaching by Gillian Lazar and Literary Movements for Students by Ira Mark Milne books. In addition, it also tries to find the frequency, meaning (in context), and examples of the use of the terminologies. The method used in this research was document analysis, the data of which was obtained from predetermined documents, such as books of general literature, and books of theory and literary criticism. While the stages carried out were data collection, data selection, and presentation. From the books studied, it is found that the terminologies that appear could be categorized into terminologies related to (1) authors, (2) readers of literary works, (3) literary work itself, and (4) literary theory and criticism. Additionally, there is an interesting fact from the data found that the books have different frequencies of literary terminologies. STOCK RETURN IN INDONESIA BANKING COMPANIES: INVESTMENT DECISIONS, DIVIDEND POLICY, INSTITUTIONAL OWNERSHIP, INTEREST RATE
This study aims to determine the effect of investment decisions, dividend policy, institutional ownership, and interest rates on stock returns. This research is a quantitative study using secondary data and multiple regression analysis methods. Data was sourced from www.idx.com and finance.yahoo.com consist of data and information from company financial statements and stock prices. Purposive sampling was chosen as the sampling method and obtained 35 banking companies for three years, so the total sample is 105 firm-year. The results suggest that investment decisions, dividend policy, and institutional ownership are not associated with stock returns, while interest rates negatively affected stock returns. This study indicates that banking companies make significant innovations in their products so that the investment objective is to support the company's operational activities and increase company value from investors' perspective
Online Learning Management in The Covid-19 Pandemic Era
Learning in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic has undergone a fundamental change from a face-to-face learning process to online-based learning to minimize the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. Online learning is basically a learning model with internet technology media, so that the learning process can be carried out even though it is in different places. The research method in this research is qualitative research by describing the online learning management process that is carried out at SMP LAB UKSW. The instruments in this research include observation sheets, student opinion questionnaires, and interview guides. The results showed that the online learning process applies management principles which include planning, organizing, implementing and controlling. The results of student and teacher opinions show that online learning has a positive perception of 83%. The results of the interview showed that the students felt that they were well facilitated by the online learning process that was conducted at SMP LAB UKSW
KAJIAN INTERAKSI DAN PERANAN MEDIA SOSIAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN DARING MAHASISWA PADA ERA PANDEMI COVID-19 DI IAIN TULUNGAGUNG
E-learning in the Covid-19 pandemic era caused limited social interaction and depended on social media literacy from providers and users in learning units, causing constraints on the quality and effectiveness of learning. The research objective was to examine social interactions and the role of social media in student e-learning during the Covid 19 pandemic at IAIN Tulungagung. Descriptive quantitative research methods. The population was 23,423 students, the sample was 3,483 students (14.87%). The data collection tool used a list of questions, the duration of data collection was 1 month April 2021. Data analysis included the calculation of means, percentages, presentation of graphs and tables with SPSS version 25.0 for windows. Result; learning at home, using a mobile internet connection and using the WhatsApp application and google classroom. Learning material innovation is needed so that learning is easily accessible from cellphones. E-learning limits socializing and reduces free time. Barriers to online lectures are mainly limited internet signal, then costs incurred, difficult material and a lot of assignments, 83.49% students that they disagreed with the statement that online lectures were cheap. Innovation and planning for interactive learning methods are needed so that students can interact actively and facilitate student access to the internet
PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SOMATIS, AUDITORI, VISUAL, INTELKTUAL (SAVI) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI FUNGSI LINEAR
Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan model pembelajaran SAVI untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, ketuntasan, dan aktivitas belajar siswa saat pembelajaran dengan model SAVI pada materi fungsi linear kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Singkawang. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Quasi Eksperimental dengan rancangan Nonequivalent Control Grup Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Singkawang yang terdiri dari 6 kelas yang berjumlah 184 siswa. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Adapun sampel yang dipilih terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu kelas X. IIS-4 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X. IIS-3 sebagai kelas control. Hasil analisis menunjukkan: 1) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran SAVI; 2) terdapat perbedaan secara signifikan antara peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi siswa pada materi fungsi linear antara siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran SAVI dan siswa yang mendapat pembelajaran menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung; 3) hasil belajar siswa tercapai (mencapai KKM 70) baik secara individual maupun klasikal dengan diterapkan model pembelajaran SAVI; 4) aktivitas belajar siswa menjadi tergolong aktif setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran SAVI
PENGARUH MODEL FLIPPED CLASSROOM TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR MATERI GAYA
Rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA terlihat pada saat pembelajaran daring disaat ini pendidik tidak mudah mengukur kemampuan berpikir kitis pada waktu pandemic disaat ini. terlebih sudah di abad ke-21 pastinya generasi disaat ini bisa dapat mendongkrak pola pikir yang mononton. Penelitian ini dicoba dengan tujuan buat mengenali terdapatnya ataupun tidak pengaruh penerapan model Flipped Classroom pada materi gaya dikelas IV di SDN Pinang Ranti 02. Penelitian ini memakai prosedur penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 95 siswa dipecah dalam tiga kelas. Sampel pada penelitian ini 63 siswa dimana siswa kelas IVB selaku kelas eksperimen berjumlah 31 siswa serta siswa kelas IVC selaku kelas kontrol berjumlah 32 siswa. Metode pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini ialah metode Non Probability Sampling dengan teknik sampel yang diambil adalah Sampling Purposive. Metode pengumpulan informasi pada penelitian ini memakai instrument tes. Hasil pengujian persyaratan analisis pada penelitian ini dengan berbantuan aplikasi spss tipe 26 dan excel. Uji normalitas memakai rumus uji lillifors, pada pretest eksperimen didapat Lhitung < Ltabel = 0,115 < 0,161, pretest kelas kontrol Lhitung < Ltabel = 0,031 < 0,161, posttest kelas eksperimen Lhitung < Ltabel = 0,117 < 0,156, posttest kelas kontrol Lhitung < Ltabel = -0,002 < 0,156, hingga informasi dari kedua kelas dinyatakan berdistribusi normal. Berikutnya dicoba uji hipotesis Independent t Test berbantuan spss tipe 26 berlandaskan nilai signifikansi (sig) < 0,05 = 0,000 < 0,05 hingga dinyatakan terdapatnya pengaruh positif pada model pembelajaran Flipped Classroom terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi gaya dikelas IV SDN Pinang Ranti 02
DAMPAK NEGATIF MEDIA SOSIAL PASCA COVID-19 PADA SISWA: ANALISIS PERENCANAAN KEPADA SEKOLAH DI SEKOLAH DASAR
Penggunaan media sosial mengalami peningkatan pada masa pandemi covid-19. Penggunaan media sosial yang berlebih dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif seperti kecanduan yang berujung pada tidak percaya diri, kecemasan sosial, stres, turunnya interaksi sosial. Maka dari itu tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis perencanaan kepala sekolah dalam menanggulangi dampak negatif penggunaan media sosial pasca pandemi covid-19 di lingkungan pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Sampel penelitian ialah kepala sekolah di SD/MI PKM Kecamatan Kapongan Kabupaten Situbondo. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuisioner dan wawancara dengan bantuan google form. Berdasarkan analisis ditemukan hasil sebaagai berikut: 1. Mengembangkan kurikulum dengan memetakan pengembangan KI-2 (Kopetesi Inti Sikap Sosial) agar dapat menemukan materi dan tema yang akan diintegrasikan untuk meningkatkan sikap sosial siswa, 2. Berdiskusi dengan guru terkait penggunaan model pembelajaran yang inovatif khusus meningkatkan kopetensi sikap (afektif), 3. Membuat kebijakan tentang lebih menekankan penggunaan penilaian dan evaluasi di ranah kopetensi sikap (afektif). Diharapkan dengan hasil ini perbandingan model pembelajaran dan pengembangan penilaian yang lebih mengarah pada ranah sikap (afektif) pasca covid-19 dapat dilaksanakan.
Identification of Slip Surfaces Using the Geoelectric Imaging Method in the Kalirejo Area, Kokap District, Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Landslides are a significant threat to the environment, infrastructure, and human activity, especially in mountainous and hilly areas. It is, therefore, important to accurately identify the social movements that trigger these processes. The resistivity method can investigate subsurface geological variations, including the potential for landslides. This research was conducted to investigate the subsurface structures in the Kalirejo Village area, Kokap District, Kulon Progo Regency, Yogyakarta regarding identifying the sliding location. This investigation includes five lines of tomographic geoelectric measurements. The results show that the slips surface is at a depth of about 5-10 m with a high resistivity value and the landslide material is weathered soil, and the slip surface is andesite. The resistivity of andesite in range 668-1600 Ωm. The landslide material's thickness is around 5-8 m with resistivity in the range 4,01-22.1 Ωm. Landslide material is water-saturated soil
High School Private Vocational School Learning in West Kalimantan During Physical Distancing COVID-19 in 2020
This study aims to reveal information about the implementation , to overcome obstacles , and the effectiveness of online learning at Senior High Schools (SMA / SMK) in West Kalimantan during Physical Distancing Covid-19 Year 202 0 . I nformation obtained s urvei purposively in nine SMA / SMK (including six elementary schools and four secondary school) in K abupaten Bengkayang, Ketapang, Hedgehog, Melawi, and Sintang West Kalimantan. Respondent teachers were 137 people.The questions that were given to respondents in detail were about the effectiveness of online learning, the media , the resources used, the obstacles faced, and the efforts to overcome these obstacles. The results of descriptive analysis of the teacher's response revealed that the "vast majority" of school (elementary, middle, high school / vocational school) has been carrying out learning online " by effectively" . Teachers plan lessons to combine online and conventional models. Also the facilities used by the teacher generally use cellphones , with the main resources being e-books, journals, videos, and question and answer materials . Learning takes advantage of the application " learning house " , " google for education " , and " own class " . The constraints general are facing is the limited "internet access" and " teacher-student-parent " who has not adaptive learning systems online. To improve e fekti v itas learning teachers make learning fun, attention to needs-style-and the student experience, as well as the evaluation of the continuous. Based on these findings, it is hoped that the government, schools, teachers, students, and parents will prioritize the provision of online learning facilities to be more successful
Exploring Indirect Aspects in Motivation and Academic Achievement During The Pandemic
Online learning methodologies are the most influential factor in educational success. However, it cannot be denied that there are non-technical aspects that indirectly affect students' motivation and academic achievement after the Covid-19 pandemic occurred. This study involves paired t-tests, regression tests, and partial t-tests to analyze the factors that can indirectly shape student motivation and academic achievement in Indonesia's higher schools. The factors studied were related to economic condition, health, habits, and social interaction. The result shows significant changes in learning motivation, economic and health conditions, student interactions with friends and lecturers, student involvement in student activity units and religious activities, use of social media, and time spent reading. The Grade Point Accumulative (GPA) before the pandemic was influenced by learning motivation. However, during the pandemic, the GPA was not significantly affected by learning motivation. Before the pandemic, family engagement and student involvement in religious activities significantly influence the GPA. Meanwhile, the factors that influence learning motivation during the pandemic are student involvement in social activities, interaction with lecturers, health conditions, and time spent reading
