Get PDFTujuan umum dari penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan mengapresiasi cerita pendek menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual pada mahasiswa PGSD FKIP Untan. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan bentuk rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 3. Proses penelitian dalam bentuk siklus, diawali perencanaan, tindakan rencana, observasi, kemudian refleksi. Instrumen pengumpul data berupa lembar observasi dan dokumen hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi, penyajian, dilanjutkan dengan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian didapat bahwa penggunaan pendekatan konstekstual dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mahasiswa mengapresiasi cerita pendek. Treatment Of Acid Mine Drainage Using Fly Ash, Bottom Ash, And Lime Mixed
Get PDFCoal mining will form acid mine drainage in former open pit mines. If acid mine water enters community waters, it will cause disturbance to biota and decrease water quality. Sawahlunto is one of the cities in Indonesia that has a coal mining area located near a settlement. With the acid mine drainage, if it rains, the water will flow into the river where the water is used by the community. Part of the coal is used as fuel for the Sijantang Sawahlunto PLTU. The fuel also produces waste in the form of combustion ash known as fly ash and bottom ash (FABA). This study uses FABA to neutralize acid mine water to meet the community's irrigation water needs. This research will determine the appropriate mass of FABA in neutralizing acid mine drainage. Acid mine water comes from the former mining pit of PT. High Guguak Coal with a pH of 2.88. Then the acid sample is brought to the laboratory to be mixed with FABA and lime. 4.98 grams of FABA with 0.02 lime can neutralize 200 mL of acid mine drainage and change the pH from 2.88 to 7.91. FABA can be included in the settling pond to neutralize acidic water before it is released into community waters
The Effect of Problem-Based Learning and Students' Understanding of Physics Concepts On The Topic of The Doppler Effect
Get PDFUnderstanding the concept is one of the essential needs teachers pursue in improving student competence in the current era of openness. One of the learning models that can sharpen and encourage students' understanding of physics concepts is problem-based learning (PBL). Heretofore, research related to understanding concepts with PBL in understanding the Doppler effect material in depth is still minimal. Therefore, through this research, an exploration was carried out to determine the extent to which students' understanding of the Doppler effect material was carried out. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of PBL on students' conceptual understanding. This type of research is experimental with a total of 58 students. Both the experimental and the control classes were in class 11 of the science major of Christian Senior High School Ambon. The research procedure was a conceptual understanding test, which was carried out during the research process. The data analysis used was an independent sample T-test. The results showed that the average value of PBL class students' learning outcomes related to students' conceptual understanding was higher than conventional classes. It shows that PBL improve students' conceptual understanding of the Doppler effect material
Determination of the X-ray Linear Attenuation Coefficient of Clay-Originated Bricks in Central Java Province, Indonesia
Get PDFThe widespread use of radioactivity has culminated in adverse health consequences and has generated an entire health science study. It is established practice that certain precautions must be taken to avoid potential exposure to ionizing radiation like an x-ray. One way to control radiation hazards external is to use a radiation shield. In this study, clay-originated bricks were used as a shield and determine its linear attenuation coefficient of x-ray radiation. The bricks were collected from 5 regencies in Central Java province. Digital fluoroscopy was used as an x-ray radiation source and operated in 81 kV 32 mAs; also, it associated with the multi-purpose detector. It shows that linear attenuation coefficient of Boyolali, Klaten, Magelang, Temanggung, and Semarang bricks respectively are 0.8896 cm-1; 0.7455 cm-1; 0.7115 cm-1; 0.7254 cm-1; and 0.7972 cm-1. Furthermore, we calculate the half-value layer of each brick and indicates that brick from Boyolali is the most effective as a shielding among others that can reduce half value of x-ray radiation dose. This research is expected to enhance the systems integration of radiation shielding safeties and allow for the effective treatment of radiation sources for both humans and the environment

Environment-Based Arabic Vocabulary Learning in Islamic Kindergarten

Education should be flexible so that there is a synchronization between the development of the times and the world of education. More and more, we realize that there is a need for an innovative and competitive next generation, not only nationally but also internationally. Moving on from this, the researcher took the initiative to provide environment-based Arabic vocabulary material to students at the early childhood education level, namely Islamic Kindergartens. The purpose of this study was to test whether environmental-based Arabic vocabulary learning could be realized for students in Islamic Kindergartens. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method by analyzing social events, phenomena or events. The research subjects are Al-Amin Islamic Kindergarten students whose address is at Jl. Ahmad Yani No. 89 D, Baringin, Five Peoples of Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra Province. In this study, researchers used the Spradley model of data analysis, namely domain analysis, by obtaining a general description of the researchers' observed events. The research was conducted for three days inside and outside the classroom. After the researchers observed, it can be concluded that the provision of environment-based Arabic vocabulary learning materials in Islamic Kindergartens can be realized by providing simple materials adapted to students' cognitive abilities
Penerapan Google Meet sebagai Media Pembelajaran pada Masa Pandemi di Program Diploma III Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik
Get PDFTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa dalam penerapan google meet sebagai media pembelajaran pada Mata Kuliah Korespondensi Bahasa Indonesia dan mata kuliah lainnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu metode diskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Program Diploma III Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Politik Universitas Tanjungpura. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara tertutup dan terbuka melalui google form. Hasil penelitian bahwa penggunaan google meet lebih efiktif dari pada aplikasi lainnya karena dosen dan mahasiswa dapat saling berintraksi dan berdiskusi tentang materi atau topik permasahan terkait surat–menyurat dengan adanya power point yang dibagikan dengan layar mereka merasa sangat terbantu. Penggunaannya juga lebih mudah, dari segi tampilan menarik. Meskipun, dikatakan efektif tetapi masih ada kendala dalam penggunaan google meet, yaitu permasalahan jaringan internet meski demikian mahasiswa tetap setuju diterapkannya google meet sebagai media pembelajaran dan dapat didukung dengan media lain, yaitu Google Classroom dan WhatsApp serta lainnya.
Pengembangan Bibliokonseling Untuk Meningkatkan Efikasi Diri Akademik
Get PDFMahasiswa diharapkan mempunyai efikasi-diri (akademik) yang tinggi dalam menyelesaikan tugas akademik. Ragam efikasi diri salah satunya adalah efikasi-diri akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) menghasilkan desain pengembangan bibliokonseling; 2) mengetahui respon mahasiswa setelah menggunakan bibliokonseling terhadap efikasi diri akademik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan penelitian dan pengembangan Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and Development). Tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan mengikuti tahapan desain model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, dan Evaluate) yang berorientasi pada system. Temuan penelitian desain model ADDIE sistematis dan sistemik, setiap tahap ada kegiatan evaluasi dan revisi untuk penyempurnaan produk biblokonseling efikasi diri akademik. Untuk pembakuan produk melalui uji coba ahli materi, desain dan media, setelah melalui proses evaluasi dan revisi dinyatakan layak digunakan. Selanjutnya dilakukan uji coba empiris dengan tiga kelompok yang berbeda jumlah mahasiswa. Setelah melalui koreksi dan revisi maka diperoleh produk akhir bibliokonseling efikasi diri akademik dalam bentuk buku saku. Hasil repon mahaiswa tentang bibliokonseling efikasi diri akademik tinggi. Artinya cerita aspiratif yang dikemas dalam bibliokonseling dan dibaca mahasiswa dapat memberikan model aspirasi realistis, sehingga memiliki keyakinan diri dan kepercayaan diri serta mampu menyelesaikan tugas akademik dan memberikan hasil sesuai dengan tindakan yang telah dilakukan. Kesimpulan bibliokonseling efikasi diri akademik dikembangkan menggunakan desain model ADDIE yang sistematis dan sistemik. Pembakuan produk melalui uji coba ahli dan uji coba empiris diperoleh hasil layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan efikasi diri akademik mahasiswa. Respon mahasiswa tinggi, temuan ini mengisyaratkan bibliokonseling dapat membantu meningkatkan keyakinan diri dalam menyelesaikan tugas akademik

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode Fenomenologi. Teknik analisis datanya menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasannya Bimbingan dan Konseling Islam dapat membantu untuk membangun akhlak yang mulia yang menjadi karakter dan sikap peserta didik dalam kehidupan sehari-harinya, tujuan pendidikan akhlak ialah menjadikan insan yang sholeh dan beriman, baik dalam pergaulannya, bertawakkal kepada Allah, menjaga silaturahmi dan persaudaraan, berdakwah dan menyiarkan agama Allah, dan yang terakhir ialah melakukan tugasa yang berkaitan dengan kemaslahatan ummat
Students' Conceptual Understanding and Critical Thinking Skills Through Online Learning Using a Virtual Laboratory
Get PDFThis study aims to analyze the understanding the concepts and critical thinking skills of physics students in online learning using a virtual laboratory. This study uses a causal associative relationship between variables. The subjects in this study consisted of 40 students from Muslim universities and Medan state universities who were programming physics laboratory courses. The sample collection technique uses random sample sampling. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire to determine student responses to online learning using a virtual laboratory and student worksheets (LKM) to measure students' understanding of concepts and critical thinking skills. Based on the results of data analysis, it shows that online learning using virtual laboratories affects students 'understanding of concepts and critical thinking skills, with a significant value of understanding concepts and students' critical thinking skills of 0.000 <0.05, the correlation value of understanding concepts 81% and critical thinking skills of 84%. is in the very good category, so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between online learning using a virtual laboratory on students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills
