(Umgebung Dongchuan), N. virilis sp. n. (Umgebung Wuding), N. constrictus sp. n. (Umgebung Gejiu), N. claviger sp. n. (Umgebung Gejiu) und N. discissus sp. n. (Umgebung Pingbian) der neu begründeten N. brevilobatus-Gruppe; N. lamellatus sp. n. (Umgebung Pingbian) der neu begründeten N. lamellatus-Gruppe; N. semifissus sp. n. (Umgebung Pingbian) der neu begründeten N. semifissus-Gruppe; N. fibulatus sp. n. (Umgebung Kunming), N. bulbosus sp. n. (Umgebung Kunming), N. clavilobatus sp. n. StichwörterColeoptera, Staphylinidae, Paederinae, Nazeris, Palaearctic region, China, Yunnan, taxonomy, new species, species groups, distribution maps, diversityNomenklatorische Handlungenbrevilobatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.bulbosus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.claviger Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.clavilobatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.conicus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.constrictus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.discissus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.fibulatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.lamellatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.semifissus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.virilis Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.A recent field trip to eastern Yunnan (Southwest China), a region from where only one species of Nazeris Fauvel, 1873 had been known, yielded thirteen undescribed Nazeris species, eleven of which are described and illustrated: N. brevilobatus sp. n. (Dongchuan env.), N. virilis sp. n. (Wuding env.), N. constrictus sp. n. (Gejiu env.), N. claviger sp. n. (Gejiu env.), and N. discissus sp. n. (Xundian env.) of the N. cangicus group. Together with N. zhangi Watanabe & Xiao, 1993, the latter three species form a distinct lineage within the N. cangicus group. Two species remain unnamed, as they are represented exclusively by females. The general distribution of the genus in Yunnan and the individual distributions of the newly described species are mapped. Nazeris now includes a total of 233 described species (plus seven subspecies), 118 of which have been recorded from mainland China. The fauna of Yunnan currently comprises 45 described species.KeywordsColeoptera, Staphylinidae, Paederinae, Nazeris, Palaearctic region, China, Yunnan, taxonomy, new species, species groups, distribution maps, diversityNomenclatural Actsbrevilobatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.bulbosus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.claviger Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.clavilobatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.conicus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.constrictus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.discissus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.fibulatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.lamellatus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.semifissus Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n.virilis Assing, 2014 (Nazeris), spec. n

StichwörterHymenoptera, Apidae, Bombus, mitochondrial DNA, new subspecies, geographic distributionNomenklatorische Handlungencryptarum pallidocinctus Bertsch et al., 2014 (Bombus), subspec. n.An alignment of 168 sequences of mitochondrial DNA of Bombus cryptarum reveals 29 haplotypes. NC-Clustering demonstrates heterospecificity of the cryptic ant species Temnothorax luteus (FOREL, 1874) and T. racovitzai (BONDROIT, 1918) (Hymenoptera: Formicidae).

Investigation was concentrated to the sympatric range of both species. 18 morphological characters were evaluated in a total of 178 workers originating from 64 nest samples. Classifications by hierarchical NC-Ward clustering, non-hierarchical NC-K-Means clustering, NC-NMDS-K-Means clustering and linear discriminant analysis coincided by 100 % after reduction of the character set to the seven most discriminative characters. The type series of T. massiliensis (Bondroit, 1918) and T. racovitzai (Bondroit, 1918) were assigned to the same cluster with posterior probabilities of p = 1.000 in the former and p = 0.9992 in the latter. The type series of T. tristis (Bondroit, 1918) and T. luteus were allocated to another, clearly separated cluster with p = 0.9999 in each case. Accordingly, T. tristis is considered as junior synonym of T. luteus whereas T. massiliensis was established as junior synonym of T. racovitzai. The classification error of the LDA was 1.7 % in 178 individuals. Despite a broad sympatric range, there are no suggestions to any nest samples containing a mixture of both phenotypes. This rejects the hypothesis that T. luteus and T. racovitzai could represent an intraspecific dimorphism. Significant interspecific differences of the two species in geographic distribution and thermal niche were demonstrated. Mean air temperature from May to August of 24 sampling sites of T. luteus was by 3.77°C cooler than in 21 sites of T. racovitzai (

StichwörterDiptera, Sciaridae, Apelmocreagris, Cratyna, Euricrium, Metangela, Pseudosciara, Sciara, 1894 [4 species], Pseudosciara Schiner, 1866 [21 species] and Sciara Meigen, 1803 [3 species]. The species are redescribed and illustrated. Sixty-three species are newly combined and four names identified as synonyms: Plastosciara barretoi Lane, 1960 is a new synonym of Cratyna boracensis (Lane, 1960); Plastosciara downsi Lane, 1960 is a new synonym of Cratyna cucarisi (Lane, 1960); Euricrium fulgescens Enderlein is a new synonym of Euricrium ruebsaameni (Enderlein); Pseudosc. aitkeni Lane, 1959 is a new synonym of Pseudosc. forceps (Pettey, 1918). In addition, 3 names are raised from synonymy [Metangela spinata Lane, 1955 restit., Pseudosc. ribeiroi (Lane, 1955) restit., Trichomegalosphys Enderlein, 1911 restit.], and 2 preoccupied names were replaced: Pseudos. willistoni Menzel nom. nov. for Sciara concinna Williston, 1896 [preocc.] and Pseudos. helleri Menzel nom. nov. for Sciara debilis Williston, 1896 [preocc.]. It was further found necessary to designate a lectotype for Pseudosc. willistoni Menzel nom. nov. and neotypes for Pseudosc. muricata (Lengersdorf, 1926), Pseudosciara thoracica (Lengersdorf, 1930) and Metangela bicolorata (Lengersdorf, 1930). Unknown males of two species are described and illustrated [Euricrium varians (Lane), Pseudosc. humeropicta (Lengersdorf)]. The genus group names Zygomma Enderlein, 1911 [preocc], Mapiria Edwards, 1934 and Muhabbetiola Koçak, 2009 are junior synonyms of Euricrium Enderlein, 1911. The genus Pseudosciara Schiner was split into two subgenera Pseudosciara s. str. and Pseudosciarella subgen. nov. After this revision the genera Apelmocreagris Enderlein, 1911, Trichomegalosphys Enderlein, 1911 and Trichosia Winnertz, 1867 are not represented within the Neotropical region and must be deleted from the catalog of Neotropical sciarids. The genus Pseudozygoneura Steffan, 1969 is also a synonym of Cratyna Winnertz. The 41 described species of Pseudozygoneura revised by Hippa et al. (1998) are therefore new combined in the subgenus Cratyna s. str.KeywordsDiptera, Sciaridae, Apelmocreagris, Cratyna, Euricrium, Metangela, Pseudosciara, Sciara, Trichomegalosphys, Neotropical Region, Achtzehn Arten der Gattung Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 aus Nepal (16 Nepal) und China (2 Arten) werden beschrieben und abgebildet: L. semicirculatum sp. n. (Ostnepal; L. nepalense-Gruppe); L. constrictum sp. n. (Ostnepal; L. discissum-Gruppe); L. descendens sp. n. (Westnepal; L. deuvei-Gruppe); L. ascendens sp. n. (Westnepal; L. deuvei-Gruppe); L. rude sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. emodense-Gruppe); L. latibasale sp. n. (Westnepal; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. eques sp. n. (Westnepal; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. equitans sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. abruptum sp. n. (Westnepal; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. kemum sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. flexaculeatum sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. rectaculeatum sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. curvaculeatum sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. hebes sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. imberbe sp. n. (Westnepal; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. plicatum sp. n. (Zentralnepal: Dhaulagiri; L. pectinatum-Gruppe); L. glabrimpressum sp. n. (China: Yunnan: Gaoligong Shan; Gruppenzugehörigkeit ungeklärt); L. smetanai sp. n. (China: Gansu: Dalija Shan; L. lentum-Gruppe). StichwörterColeoptera, Staphylinidae, Paederinae, Lathrobiina, Lathrobium, Palaearctic region, Nepal, China, Caucasus, taxonomy, new species, species groups, sexual size dimorphism, diversity, new records.Nomenklatorische Handlungenabruptum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.ascendens Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.constrictum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.curvaculeatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.descendens Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.eques Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.equitans Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.flexaculeatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.glabimpressum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.hebes Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.imberbe Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.kemum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.latibasale Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.plicatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.rectaculeatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.rude Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.semicirculatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.smetanai Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.Eighteen species of Lathrobium Gravenhorst, 1802 from Nepal (16 species) and China (2 species) are described and illustrated: L. semicirculatum sp. n. (China: Yunnan: Gaoligong Shan; group assignment uncertain); L. smetanai sp. n. (China: Gansu: Dalija Shan; L. lentum group). Based on new material, a redescription and new illustrations of L. aculeatum Coiffait, 1982 are provided. Recently collected material of L. calcaratum Assing, 2012 suggests that the holotype of this species may have been mislabelled and that, consequently, the type locality is erroneous. The species previously assigned to the L. aculeatum group are moved to the L. pectinatum group, and the L. aculeatum group is discarded. Several species of the L. pectinatum group were found to be subject to a sexual dimorphism of body size. Additional records of six named species are reported from the West Caucasus (2 species) and from Nepal (4 species). Including the newly described species, the genus is currently represented in the Himalaya by 68 species in ten species groups, in China by 189 species, and in the Palaearctic region by 536 named species and ten subspecies.KeywordsColeoptera, Staphylinidae, Paederinae, Lathrobiina, Lathrobium, Palaearctic region, Nepal, China, Caucasus, taxonomy, new species, species groups, sexual size dimorphism, diversity, new records.Nomenclatural Actsabruptum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.ascendens Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.constrictum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.curvaculeatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.descendens Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.eques Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.equitans Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.flexaculeatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.glabimpressum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.hebes Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.imberbe Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.kemum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.latibasale Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.plicatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.rectaculeatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.rude Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.semicirculatum Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n.smetanai Assing, 2014 (Lathrobium), spec. n
