Praktik Perkawinan Janda Tanpa Akta Cerai di Desa Saketa, Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan
The practice of widow marriages without a Divorce Certificate is a phenomenon that often occurs in Saketa Village and is considered commonplace; these marriages are categorized as unregistered marriages at the Office of Religious Affairs, where there are 2 cases and marriages are registered at the Office of Religious Affairs where there is 1 case, but from that the Marriage Law does not permit it. This study aims to practice analyzing widows' marriages without Divorce Certificates in Saketa Village, given Law Number 16 of 2019. The research method used is qualitative; research data comes from primary data, namely data collected directly through observation and interviews with 3 subjects research consisting of 3 widows who married without a Divorce Certificate. The results of this study conclude that the marriage of widows without a divorce certificate in Saketa Village is not by Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning Amendments to Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage. Because the widow's status is not recognized by law, the widow is still the legal wife of her previous husband. Also, because there are no strict sanctions in the Marriage Law against the perpetrators of the intended marriage, these marriages still occur in Saketa Village, West Gane District, South Halmahera Regency. ABSTRAK Praktik perkawinan janda tanpa Akta Cerai merupakan fenomena yang sering terjadi di Desa Saketa dan sudah dianggap lumrah, perkawinan tersebut dikategorisasi dengan perkawinan tidak terdaftar di Kantor Urusan Agama yang terdapat 2 kasus dan perkawinan terdaftar di Kantor Urusan Agama yang terdapat 1 kasus, namun dari itu tidak dibenarkan oleh Undang-Undang Perkawinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis praktik perkawinan janda tanpa Akta Cerai di Desa Saketa dalam pandangan Undang-Undang Nomor 16 tahun 2019. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Data penelitian bersumber dari data primer, yaitu data yang dihimpun secara langsung melalui observasi dan wawancara kepada 3 subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari 3 orang janda yang melakukan perkawinan tanpa Akta Cerai. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa perkawinan janda tanpa Akta Cerai di Desa Saketa tidak sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 16 tahun 2019 tentang Perubahan atas Undang-Undang Nomor 1 tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan. Karena status janda tersebut tidak diakui oleh Undang-Undang, maka janda tersebut masih menjadi istri sah dari suami sebelumnya. Alasan lainnya, tidak ada sanksi yang tegas dalam Undang-Undang perkawinan terhadap pelaku perkawinan yang dimaksud hingga praktik perkawinan tersebut masih terus berlangsung di Desa Saketa, Kecamatan Gane Barat, Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan
A Portray of Teaching English for Young Learners in Manado City: The Teacher’s Media, Method, and Challenges
This study aimed at describing the teaching of English to the kindergarten students in Manado City which contributed to the improvement of English Teaching and Learning quality for young learners. This study employed a descriptive qualitative research design with 14 teachers who taught English in 5 kindergartens as participants. The data was collected through interview to the participants and documentation of English learning materials and media. Then, the data was analyzed by applying three techniques; data reduction, data display, and data verification. The results revealed that the teachers who taught English designed the learning materials such as the alphabet, numbers, colors, animals, and days. In terms of teaching and learning media, seven teachers (50%) used the textbooks provided by the school. Two teachers (14%) used flashcards to help them convey the teaching material. Three teachers (22%) used pictures and two teachers (14%) used songs. The researchers found that 36% of the teachers used story telling method, 22% used singing, 21% made small groups, 14% conducted repetition, and only 7% applied the Role Play method. Moreover, findings on the challenges faced by the teachers in teaching English showed that the students’ difficulty in pronouncing English words, inadequate time to teach English, and the teacher’s non-English academic background became the factors influencing the teaching and learning process in Manado City Kindergartens.Keywords: Teaching English, Young Learners, Media, Method, Challenges
The Contemporary Ushul Fiqh in Indonesia: An Idea and Practice
This research explains the theory of Ushul Fiqh, which must live and not stagnate for Indonesia's benefit. Many of the study sources used as references come from Arabic-language books. A scientific study is needed that is more specific and shows the specificity of the Indonesian Ushul Fiqh model. This research method is a literature review by studying Ushul Fiqh in the Indonesian context. The results found are that the primary materials in the theory of Ushul Fiqh in Indonesia are always alive and experiencing evolution, starting from the implementation of established Ushul Fiqh products during the time of classical scholars to the birth of new theories which expected to be able to become new alternatives that responsive in answering the problems of the people who are also constantly moving and experiencing change. The theory of Ushul Fiqh implemented in the field by Indonesian scholars, such as the actualization of maqashid shariah in the Indonesian context, the flow of inculturation of revelation and local culture ilhaq al-masail bi nazhairiha, practicing qauli and manhaji Schools, and also making ijtihad plural or collective as the right solution for Indonesia as a form of prudence (ihtiyath) of the clergy
The Concept of Ethics and Moral Education Based on Katoba Local Culture in the Overseas Muna Community in Kendari City
Katoba local culture is a tradition owned by the Muna ethnicity, both living in Muna and overseas. Katoba local culture is carried out by the overseas Muna community in Kendari City to strengthen children's Islam and provide ethical and moral education to children aged 7–11 years, both boys and girls. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of ethics and moral education based on local katoba culture in the overseas Muna community in Kendari City. The method used in this study is a phenomenological approach. The analysis uses a cultural approach. The results showed that the local culture of katoba in the overseas Muna community in Kendari City carried out this tradition as a means of shaping the ethical and moral education of a child. Children are prepared to become individuals who have religious understanding, ethics, and good morals in the midst of society
Crisis Studies of The Discourse of Identity Politics in Indonesia from The Perspective of Asabiyah Ibn Khaldun
This paper critically analyzes Indonesia's discourse on identity politics through Ibn Khaldun's theory of asabiyah (social solidarity). It aims to diagnose issues surrounding the weaponization of identity for political ends that have polarized society and eroded unity. A qualitative approach scrutinizes empirical evidence on divisive identity politics before theoretically examining it via asabiyah. Recent history shows Indonesian identity politics exacerbating intergroup intolerance and discrimination by fracturing communities along ethnic and religious lines for power consolidation, violating asabiyah's emphasis on cohesion. However, moderate identity politics can enable democratic representation of societal diversity. Moving forward requires recalibrating identity discourse by fostering the unifying religious and nationalist solidarity underpinning asabiyah to balance inherent identity affiliations with preserving pluralistic national harmony
ECONOMIC RECESSION’S MITIGATION: INTERPRETATION OF QS. YUSUF [12]: 43-48 WITH SEMIOTIC APPROACH
Abstract: At the end of 2022, the world community was shocked by the issue of global economic recession. This threat is considered very worrying because it can cause the collapse of a country if there are no mitigation measures for this issue. Therefore, a reinterpretation of QS. Yusuf [12]: 43-48 using Roland Barthes' semiotic approach as an analytical was needed so that the Indonesian people could apply the strategies used by the Prophet Yusuf in dealing with the famine in Egypt in facing the threat of economic recession. The results show that improving the quality of human resources, especially in managing natural resources, is the primary key so that people can have a productive spirit and can create new jobs for others. In addition, implementing good regulations in all sectors of life and building good synergy between all elements of society are supporting factors in efforts to prevent the phenomenon of recession.Keyword: Recession Mitigation, QS. Ancaman ini dinilai sangat mengkhawatirkan karena dapat menyebabkan keruntuhan suatu negara jika tidak ada langkah mitigasi atas isu ini. Oleh karena itu, muncullah penafsiran ulang terhadap QS. Yusuf [12]: 43-48 dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes sebagai pisau analisis diperlukan agar masyarakat Indonesia dapat menerapkan strategi yang digunakan oleh Nabi Yusuf dalam menghadapi bencana kelaparan di Mesir dalam menghadapi ancaman resesi ekonomi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia terutama dalam mengelola sumber daya alam menjadi kunci utama agar masyarakat dapat memiliki jiwa yang produktif dan dapat menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan baru bagi orang lain. Strategi Pembelajaran Guru Al-Qur’an Hadis Dalam Meningkatkan Minat Belajar Peserta Didik Baru Kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat Bintauna Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara
Penelitian ini membahas tentang Strategi pembelajaran Guru Al-qur’an Hadis dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik baru kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat Bintauna Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara. Adapun peserta didik baru yang dimaksudkan di sini adalah peserta didik yang lulusan sekolah umum (SMP), Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pembelajaran Guru Al-qur’an Hadis dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik baru, serta untuk mengetahui faktor penghambat dan pendukung dari proses pembelajaran Al-qur’an Hadis dalam meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik baru kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat Bintauna Kabupaten Bolaang Mongondow Utara. Jenis dan pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif, serta penelitian yang dilakukan bertempat di madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat Bintauna Kabupaten Bolaang mongondow Utara, penelitian yang dilakukan mulai dari tanggal 20 Februari 2023 sampai dengan tanggal 15 Maret 2023. Sumber data yang diambil dari madrasah Aliyah Alkhairaat Bintauna dan buku maupun jurnal, serta metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. kemudian istrumen penelitian, Teknik analisis data, dan uji keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh Guru Al-qur’an Hadis dalam meningkatkan minat belajar bagi peserta didik baru adalah dengan menggunakan strategi ekspositori dan strategi pembelajaran berorientasi aktivitas siswa, strategi ekspositori dalam pembelajarannya menekankan pada penyampaian materi secara verbal, serta penggunaan Metode ceramah. Kemudian juga menerapkan strategi pembelajaran berorientasi aktivitas siswa serta menggunakan pendekatan yang berpusat pada peserta didik dan metode tanya jawab. Dalam penggunaan strategi pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat belajar bagi peserta didik tentunya tidak luput dari faktor penghambat serta pendukung, Adapun yang termasuk dalam faktor penghambat adalah peserta didik yang tidak tahu membaca dan menulis Al-qur’an serta kurangnya media dan sumber belajar, kemudian yang termasuk pada faktor pendukung adalah pembelajaran yang terletak pada jam ketiga dan keempat pada setiap pertemuanya dan kemampuan guru dalam penyampaian materi serta kenyamanan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran yang didukung oleh ruang kelas yang luas. Religion, Politics and Power in Africa: The Nigerian Experiment and Lessons from the Sharī'ah Madīnah Plural Model
This study delves into the complex interplay of religion, politics, and power in Africa, focusing on the Nigerian context and drawing valuable lessons from the Sharīah Madīnah plural model. Through a multidisciplinary approach, including qualitative analysis, case studies, and comparative analysis, the research reveals that Nigeria's political landscape is deeply influenced by religious affiliations, primarily Islam and Christianity, which play pivotal roles in shaping political agendas and power dynamics. The findings underscore the importance of fostering religious tolerance and interfaith dialogue while promoting inclusive governance to navigate the challenges posed by religious diversity in Africa's political systems. Drawing inspiration from the Sharīah Madīnah model, this study advocates for nuanced approaches that respect religious pluralism while upholding democratic principles, offering valuable insights for a more harmonious coexistence in Africa's diverse religious and political milieu
RELIGIOUSTY AND ISLAMIC NORMATIVISM IN PORNOGRAPHY AS A SOCIAL PHENOMENON
Abstrac: This article is to find out in the study of Islamic normativism about pornography as a social phenomenon caused by technological advances and the development of social media in people's lives. In the Islamic view, pornography is certainly strictly prohibited because it has an impact on moral decadence for the perpetrator. In Islamic studies, there is no clear mention of pornography because what is explained is only the issue of aurat and the consequences of adultery behavior that can damage the cultivation of life if not anticipated. Analysis of pornography in the current context must get answers from religious teachings so that the problems faced can be solved humanely so that the interpretation developed is not based on assumptions but through Islamic normative studies. Dalam pandangan Islam, pornografi tentu sangat dilarang karena berdampak pada dekadensi moral bagi pelakunya. Dalam kajian keislaman tidak disebutkan secara jelas tentang pornografi karena yang dijelaskan hanya persoalan aurat dan akibat yang ditimbulkan dari perilaku perzinahan yang dapat merusak tatanam kehidupan apabila tidak diantisipasi. Analisis tentang pornografi dalam konteks kekinian harus mendapat jawaban dari ajaran keagamaan agar persoalan yang dihadapi dapat diselesaikan secara manusiawi sehingga interpretasi yang dikembangkan bukan atas dasar asumsi akan tetapi melalui kajian normatif keislaman. Students’ Difficulties in Reading Comprehension at the Ninth Grade MTs Negeri 1 Manado
This research aims to identify the difficulties faced by students in reading and thecauses of these difficulties. The researcher employed a mixed-methods research(MMR) approach, utilizing four research instruments: observation, interviews, tests,and documentation. The sample for this research consisted of 30 students from class9-C and two English teachers from class 9 of MTs Negeri 1 Manado. There were threedata collection procedures. The first procedure involved the researcher observingclass 9-C. The second procedure included the administration of a multiple-choice testwith 10 questions to the students of class 9-C. The third procedure involvedconducting interviews with 30 students and 2 English teachers regarding the causesof students' difficulties in reading. Based on the research findings, the researcheridentified four difficulties that students face in understanding reading: limitedvocabulary with a percentage of 68.33%, drawing conclusions 60%, detailscomprehension 54.16%, and grasping the main idea 50%. There were two factorscausing students' difficulties: internal factors and external factors. Internal factorsincluded students not reading enough, texts in English, limited vocabulary, andstudent laziness.
