    Analisis Konten Buku Teks IPA Terpadu Kelas VIII Semester 1 Ditinjau Dari Aspek Literasi Saintifik

    Science learning has an important role for students to understand natural phenomena with scientific methods. Science learning is taught in an integrated manner and contains literacy in it. Skills in literacy are needed to help students understand learning resources. One type of literacy is scientific literacy. Scientific literacy is the ability to understand or get involved with science issues and ideas around the environment. Scientific literacy consists of four aspects, namely 1) the scientific context, 2) the scientific process, 3) the scientific concept and 4) the scientific attitude. This research is a descriptive research that contains a description of the object under research. The object of this research is the integrated science textbook for grade VIII in junior high school. The instrument used in the form of a questionnaire assessment of integrated science textbooks related to scientific literacy aspects. The results showed that, among the five textbooks researched, the best book reviewed in terms of the scientific context and the scientific process was book D with grades of 78.6 and 78.1, respectively. In terms of scientific concepts, the best integrated science textbooks are books A and D with a value of 82.1. Meanwhile, the integrated science textbook that is good to use is seen from the aspect of scientific attitude is book E with a value of 75. After processing the data, it is found that the best book used to improve students' scientific literacy ability is book D with a value of 77.4

    The scenario of Industry 4.0 and 21st century skills show rapidly increase and informed. In this century, the main goal of our educational system should be able to answer students needed for living in the world. In recent years, STEM Education has received growing attention to be considered to understand STEM Education. In the South East Asia, Indonesia is one of the biggest country has a large number of human resources that should be developed. This study was aimed to examine the movement of STEM education in Indonesia within the scope of 21st century skills categories by using the content analysis method, examine best practice of STEM education for teachers by investigating engineering design skills training and reviewed the literature from 1990 to 2016 that has emphasized on development of STEM education around the world. The findings showed that STEM Education has been developed around Indonesia and has a positive impact to enhance students’ concept comprehension, literacy, and creativity. Many researches provide evidence the best practice for science teacher to implement STEM Education. STEM has a close to daily life and increase student awareness with the environment

    The issues in this study are how learning outcomes, learning motivation and student’s  interest  in mathematics learning material are being affected after applying classroom flipped learning         strategies with a scientific approach to class XI  grade students of SMK 2 Padangpanjang? Are student’s learning outcomes by applying classroom flipped strategies with the scientific approach are   better than the one that does not apply that method? This study aims to describe student’s learning outcomes, motivation, and interests in mathematics learning, and to see whether the experimental class learning outcomes are better than the control class. This research was conducted at SMK 2   Padang Panjang in the academic year 2017/2018. The sample is taken by using the random sampling technique which consisted of two sample groups, and each is consisted of 28 people. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the student’s mathematics learning outcomes are better than the previous one.     An important problem in the 21st century is the integration of information and communication technology in learning. Because teachers and students must be prepared to keep abreast of increasingly sophisticated times. STEM is a learning that integrates science (science), technology (technology), engineering (engineering), and mathematics (mathematics). STEM provides learning through the process of solving problems in everyday life in order to enhance students' creative abilities. STEM learning aims to improve the ability of students to compete with the surrounding environment and globally, both in science and able to innovate technological products. Currently there are many textbooks in circulation with various publishers. For this reason, it is necessary to find out whether the outstanding textbooks have been able to facilitate the implementation of the STEM approach in learning. The solution to this problem is to analyze the extent to which the textbook meets the STEM component. This type of research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population of data in this research were all physics textbooks for class X semester 1 high school. The samples in this research were five books used in learning physics in class X semester 1 high school. The data in this research were taken using a research instrument which had 4 components which were elaborated into 19 assessment items and data collection techniques used are through observation. The results of this research indicate that the average suitability obtained for each book that is in textbook 1 has a value of 88 with a category in accordance with the STEM component. In textbook 2 has a value of 85 with a category in accordance with the STEM component. In textbook 3 with a value of 72 with categories according to the STEM component.     The 21st century education requires students to be able to think critically, collaboratively, communicate, be creative and innovate. The Indonesian government made efforts to address the demands of 21st century education by developing a 2013 curriculum that contained 4C skills. The learning process requires a textbook as a learning research. Learning textbooks circulating are not in accordance with 2013 curriculum criteria to improve 4C skills. The purpose of this study is to find out the Physics of Learning Textbooks for Class XII High School Semester 1 able to facilitate the implementation of 4C skills in the 21st century. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The population of the data in the study were all physics of learning textbooks for class XII High School Semester 1. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study was 5 Physics of learning Textbooks for Class XII High School Semester 1. The data in the study were taken using a questionnaire instrument. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the average for each component of 4C Skills, namely critical thinking skills (C1) obtained by 85, collaboration skills (C2) by 93.57, communication skills (C3) by 78.50 and creative thinking and innovation skills (C4) by 65.45

    This research aims to analyze about conceptual understanding and misconceptions on material Newtonian Gravity of students physics education Sriwijaya University. Data collected by  using test NGCI (Newtonian Gravity Concept Inventory), CRI (Certainty of Response Index), and Interview to discribed types of conceptual understanding students’. Analysis methods  data used Descriptive qualitative technique. Based on the analysis CRI, this research find 28,51 % student understand the concept, 4,68 % understand the concept but not sure , 27,9% misconception, and 25,62 % not understand the concept.     This paper describes 11th grade students’ understanding of the concept of precipitation reaction at the end of the learning process of solubility and solubility product. Precipitation reaction is an important reaction in industry, pharmacy, and daily life. In the learning process, students are asked to predict the formation of precipitation based on their understanding of solubility and solubility product concepts. Thirty eleventh grade students in one of the best senior high schools in Padang were chosen as the subject of this study. Classroom learning process was observed and recorded. Data of students’ understanding were collected through a set of essay problems which was validated through expert judgment, and then integrated in students’ end-of-chapter test. Through qualitative analysis, this study revealed some mistakes and misconceptions that students have regarding the application of precipitation reaction concept, and possible sources of them.     The main problem in the Junior High School of West Rengat is the absence of biology laboratory work guide for the practical activities. The presentation of the biology laboratory work guide in the student work sheets, and text books is still in a cookery model. It is not optimal to support student’s skill in science process. The aimed of this research to produce a valid, practical and efffective biology practical guide based on scientific approach for student at class VII of MTs/SMP in 2nd semester. The research used the Plomp model that has the preliminary research, the prototype phase and assessment phase. The data collect used validator sheet, practicalities by teacher and students questionnaires, observations of student activity sheets, student motivation questionnaire, and the paper-pencil test to cognitive student competence. The data were analyzed with the description of the percentage. The results showed that the biology laboratory work guide based on scientific approach for student at class VII of MTs/SMP in 2nd semester have validation score 83,05% (very valid category), the practicalities score 87,56%  (very practice), and effectiveness score 84,36% (very effective).     The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of virtual laboratory worksheets on parabolic motion material and circular motion in class X of SMAN 5 Padang. To achieve the research objectives, quasi   experiments were used and one group of pretest-posttest was research design. The population is students of class X MIPA at SMAN 5 Padang who are registered in the 2018/2019 Academic Year. Simple random sampling technique is used for sampling and obtained by class X MIPA 1 as a sample. The research data includes data on attitudes, knowledge and skills competencies. Attitude competency data is obtained through attitude assessment observation sheets, then described and analyzed in graphical form. Knowledge competency data was obtained through pretest and posttest. Skills competency data are obtained through performance assessment sheets. Knowledge and skills competency data were analyzed using correlated t-test. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that virtual laboratory worksheets on parabolic motion material and circular motion are effectively used in learning which can be seen from increasing student learning competencies in aspects of knowledge and skills after using virtual laboratory worksheets.
