    Perkembangan Model Mental Mahasiswa pada Penggunaan Bahan Ajar Kesetimbangan Kimia berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing

    This research aimed to analyze students' mental models in chemical equilibrium before and after using guided inquiry-based learning material. The instrument used was a conceptual test which has been developed by Bergquist and Heikkinen. This test was taken before and after formal instruction using the learning material. Responses were obtained from 30 first-year students of Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science of UNP which taking general chemistry course in 2017/2018 even semester using purposive sampling. Student answers to this test were analyzed descriptively. From this research, student understanding increase after using the learning material. The highest increasing is in equilibrium shifting stoichiometry concept. This gaining correlated to students’ mental model development. The results of this study indicated that in general there has been a development of students’' mental models before and after using this learning material. Although, not all students’ model mental are appropriate to scientific concepts in chemical equilibrium

    Learning difficulty students at the Nahdlatul Ulama Institute of Technology and Science Pasuruan in first semester for academic on year 2018/2019 which are marked by midterm scores in general Biology courses for human digestive system meterial that is deficient. Learning Difficulty student can lead to their lack of achievement in this course. This research was conducted to find out the factors of learning difficulty both internal and external by the students and the expectation is to be able to provide further input as an effort to resolve the difficulty learning to improve their learning achievement. This research is a qualitative descriptive study that aims to determine the internal and external factors that induces difficulty student Learning in General Biology courses in human digestive system material. The study used a descriptive design, tests, questionnaires and interviews to receive data. The research subjects are 32 students are from Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Agricultural Product Technology major. Based on the results of the study for the internal factors that cause their difficulty for Learning are study habits and ability material comprehension are still lacking as much as 59.37%, while the external factors are the lack of learning support tools as much as 59.37% and the condition of the house environment and around it as much as 50%

    Destination of research to analyze increased  students' scientific argumentative ability by way of Argument-Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model in SMA Negeri 1 Batang Angkola. The study was conducted in a quasi-experiment manner. As for population of the research was students of class X SMAN 1 Batang Angkola.  Sample selection that has been used by cluster random sampling, namely class X IPA1 and X IPA2. This research instrument uses a valid and reliable Learning Outcomes test. The data in this study were analyzed by T- test. The results of the study obtained differences in values of scientific argumentation skills in students through argument-driven inquiry learning model  at 76.6 and conventional learning 70.06, this means that there is an influence of students' scientific argumentation skills using the Argument Driven Inquiry learning model  more improved compared to using conventional learning

    The ability to think creatively is an ability that is expected to be mastered by students but is still low. Students lack the ability to solve a problem in a various ways.The purpose of this study is to produce a learning tool based on M-APOS theory to improve students' creative thinking abilities.The research method used in this research is research and development which consists of three stages, namely the initial investigation stage, the development stage and the assessment stage.In this section what is done is the preliminary research stage. The instruments used were interview and questionnaire guidelines.The results of the study are: 1) inadequate school facilities and infrastructure, 2) student learning outcomes are still low because students are accustomed to accept what is taught and do not repeat the lessons at home, 3) worksheets that are used by students is not attractive, 4) in the learning process students prefer group learning, 5) students want the questions contained in LKPD to be daily life problems, 6) the learning environment of students who are in the hills and close to the highway, 7) learning styles favored by students are in the form of solving problems in the form of images related to daily life problems, 8) the appearance of worksheets that are liked by students is LKPD which has  pictures and attractive color

    Penggunaan Model Creative Problem Solving (CPS) untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Matematis Siswa

    The purpose of this research is to describe students' mathematical problem solving abilities during learning process with Creative Problem Solving (CPS) model and simultaneously to see the improvement of problem solving ability of students. This research uses a qualitative approach together with quantitative through concurrent embedded strategy. The sample of research is 22 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Pilot Aceh Tamiang. The instruments used are problem solving and semi-structured test. Data of problem solving ability of student during learning with CPS model was analyzed descriptively, while improvement of problem solving ability of student was analyzed by t-test using SPSS software version 22 for windows. The results showed that there was development of problem solving ability of students during learning with CPS model. The development of students 'problem-solving abilities is demonstrated by students' ability to understand problems, plan settlements, solve problems and re-examine them. This ability is evident at every meeting. Further research results also show there is an increase in problem solving skills of students with CPS model

    Mathematical representation ability is a useful ability for students to develop and optimize their mathematical abilities. The real situation shows that the importance of the ability of mathematical representation has not been matched by student achievement. This condition can be solved by applying problem based learning model to learning in a context that is familiar to students such as scouts. The aim of this research is to explain the ability of students’ mathematical representation through the Problem Based Learning model with scouts context on circle material at SMPN 8 Banda Aceh. This research used qualitative approach with a type of research is descriptive. Data obtained through tests of student’ mathematical representation abilities and interviews. The ability of students’ mathematical representations was analyzed by utilizing the data obtained in student learning in groups through PBL model and data of result test after the application of PBL model. The achievement of this research is the ability of students’ mathematical representation during learning with PBL model in groups is accordance with the ability of students’ mathematical representation after applying the PBL model. The mathematical representation ability of high ability students is able to complete all of the indicators of the mathematical representation ability, students who are in the medium ability only complete indicators of visual and symbolic representation, and low ability students only able to complete indicator of visual representation, although not perfectly

    Research was triggered by the problem that encountered by researchers in the form of the learning motivation of students was low if the learning only used a discussion method in the lecture process. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the use of portfolio assessment accompanied by giving constructive feedback to learning motivation of students in scientific writing course. The research design that used was one group pre-test and post-test design. The sample in the research was the first semester of the B class in the Biology department, FTIK, IAIN Kerinci with the total numbers of students was 32 students. The instruments that used were learning motivation questionnaires of students that described from five indicators. Data from learning motivation results were analyzed through <N-Gain> to determine the improvement for each indicator of learning motivation. The results of this research are indicators of perseverance, interest, and independence which have a high improvement while indicators of tenacity and achievement can classified into the moderate category

    This research aimed to develop a product and to find out its eligibility and students’s response of module based education for sustainable development (EfSD) on ecology concept for X grade students. Research and development (R&D) method with Dick & Carey model was used in this research. It consisted of 5 stages, that were Analysis, Planning, Development, Formative Evaluation, and Revision. Instrument validation was assessed by experts (concept, media and teachers). According to the result of expert assesment, the module earned score 94%. The score was included into very decent category. The score of students’s response was 84,4%. The score was included into very worth category. It can be concluded module based EfSD on ecology concept for X grade students was  very decent for learning material
