      The education process in schools should be able to increase mastery of science and technology and provide training and science process skills that can improve the quality of human resources. Education is the main key to modernization and progress for a nation. In reality, 4C learning on 21st century skills has not been fulfilled properly. This needs to be addressed starting by developing a learning material such as lesson plans. The objective of assisting is to improve the competency of teachers in writing lesson plans. The target of the assisting activity was the teachers in SMPN 2 Baso, Agam district. Methods in assisting include presentation and discussion, group work, independent task, and task presentation. Instruments to collect the data consist of knowledge test. Data analysis techniques were descriptive statistical analysis and paired sample t-test. The result of this assisting is the implementation of assisting on the writing of lesson plan is effective to improve the 21st century skills and independent learning program in the school of teachers

    Effectiveness is the level of suitability and success in the use of inquiry training worksheets in the learning process. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of a Student Worksheet. The subjects of this study were 28 students and 1 teacher. This type of data is primary data. The result of effectiveness is marked by an increase in knowledge competency with a gain score of 0.64 which is categorized as moderate. The assessment of attitudes competency average attainment of 84.88% and assessment of creative thinking abilities in the very creative category at the third meeting with an average of 81.19. It can be concluded that the Student Worksheet developed was effective

    Peningkatan Penalaran Ilmiah Siswa melalui Pembelajaran Guided Inquiry Berstrategi Scaffolding pada Materi Suhu dan Kalor

    The purpose of this research was to analyze the students’ scientific reasoning skills in the guided inquiry learning integrated of scaffolding in heat and temperature. The research used mixed-method with embedded experimental design. The subject of this research was 29 students of class X in Sidoarjo state high school. The instrument consists of treatment and measurement instruments. The treatment instruments consist of syllabus, lesson plan, and student worksheet. The measurement instrument consists of scientific reasoning skills test. The test development based on scientific reasoning pattern proposed by Lawson with a reliability of 0.848. The quantitative data on students’ scientific reasoning skills was analyzed using Wilcoxon-test, while qualitative data was analyzed by reducing data and coding using a scientific reasoning pattern rubric. The results show that students’ scientific reasoning skill in heat and temperature increased after following the guided inquiry learning integrated of scaffolding. The students have been able to use information to determine whether a conclusion is likely to be true or not, but students are still unable to recognize and interpret relationships in situations described by observed or abstract variables

    Implementation of 2013 Curriculum which is able to form students who have the ability to think at a high level as the demands of the times. One effort to develop students' higher-order thinking skills is to use appropriate assessments so that students can get used to working on higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to produce an instrument for assessing high-order thinking skills about heredity material for students of class XII SMA / MA that are valid. This study uses a 4-D models development model consisting of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, the disseminate stage was not carried out due to limited time and money from the researchers. The subjects of this study were 3 validators, 2 biology subject teachers and 33 students of class XII MIPA 3 at SMAN 7 Padang. The data collection instrument was in the form of a validity questionnaire filled out by biology lecturers at UNP and biology subject teachers at SMAN 7 Padang. Data analysis using the ANATES 4.09 application. Based on the results of the data analysis instrument for the assessment of high-order thinking skills that have been tested, the results obtained are in the form of an instrument for assessing high-order thinking skills about heredity material for students of class XII SMA / MA that are logically very valid with a value of 93.14%, hight of empirical with a value of 74%, and very reliabel with a value of 8,4. Which can be used by teachers to measure and activate students' of higher-order thinking skills

    The energy generated by lightning is very large, but it cannot be controlled, causing significant losses and even casualties. To reduce the risk of lightning, a good level of understanding is needed from the public in dealing with lightning disasters. This level of understanding can be changed for the better through education in schools by integrating lightning material into teaching materials for Physics subjects. This study aims to determine the validity of Physics e-book integrated with lightning disaster material based on discovery learning. Research and development (R&D) with the plomp model was used as a method in this study. Products produced in R&D are tested for their validity by experts. The instrument used in this study was a validity questionnaire consisting of five aspects, namely content feasibility, presentation feasibility, language eligibility, graphic feasibility, and media feasibility. The results showed that the Physics e-book integrated with lightning disaster material based on discovery learning was in a valid category so that it could be used in physics learning at school as well as for further research

    Literacy is required in the 4.0 industrial revolution and education in Indonesia. However, the real condition indicated that the integration of literacy in science learning of the science teachers was still limited. The solution of this problem is assisting the partner in writing science thematic learning material by integrating new literacy and disaster literacy. The objective of assisting is to improve competency of science teachers in writing thematic learning material. The target of the assisting activity was the teachers in science MGMP in Agam district. Methods in assisting include presentation and discussion, group work, independent task, and task presentation. Instruments to collect the data consist of knowledge test and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques were descriptive statistical analysis and paired comparison test.  There are four results of the assistance, namely: 1). The average value of skills in integrating new literacy into thematic science worksheet is 70.5 and this average value can be classified into good category, 2). Teachers felt the benefits of assistance in aspects of learning material, thematic learning, integration of new literacy and disaster literacy in learning, and writing of thematic learning material, 3). The response of student from to the use of thematic science worksheet by integrating new literacy can be entered into very good category with an average value of 86.7, and 4). The implementation of assisting on the writing of thematic science learning material is effective to improve the new literacy and disaster literacy of science teachers

    A reason for students’ low learning outcomes in Basic Mathematics 1 in PGSD FKIP Univer sitas Bung Hatta is found to be errors in answering the questions. This study aims to describe the errors and find factors that cause students errorly answer the questions in Basic Mathematics 1. This is a descriptive research using case study design with interview and test as data collection techniques.  Errors analysis conducted with Newman Procedures shows that 4.89% of students experience Reading error, 8.22 % of students experience Comprehension Error, 12.67%  experience Transformation Error, 15.11% of students experience Process Skill Error, and 1.56% of students experience Encoding Error. Factors that cause errors include abhorrance of math, carelessness in solving problems, reluctance to ask questions during lecture, and the absence of motivation to learn

    Validitas dan Praktikalitas E-Modul Berbasis Inkuiri Terbimbing Terintegrasi Laboratorium Virtual pada Materi Hidrolisis Garam kelas XI SMA/MA

    E-modules are one of the innovations in the development of teaching materials that can be integrated with virtual laboratories. The learning model that can be applied in the development of e-modules is a guided inquiry learning model . This research aims to produce a salt hydrolisis e-module oriented on guided inquiry learning model integrated with virtual laboratories  and reveal the validity and practicality of e-modules. The type of this research  is research and development (R&D). the method used in this research is developmental model by using 4-D or 4-P design. They are define, design, develop and disseminate. This research is limited to the stage of development, the validity and practicality test. The data collection instrument is  a questionnaire of validity and practicality. The e-module was validated by 6 experts, they are 3 chemistry lectures of FMIPA UNP and 3 chemistry teachers while practicality test was carried out by 2 chemistry teachers and 15 XII grade students of MIPA SMAS Adabiah 2 Padang. data from validity and practicality test results were analyzed using the cohen kappa formula. Based on the results of the study, it was found that average kappa moment of validity test was 0,83 with a very high validity category, the average kappa moment of teacher practicality was 0,82 with a very high practicality category and the average kappa moment students practicality was 0,82 with a very high practicality category. The results of the analysis of students answer on e-module, it was found average of key question was 90%, average of worksheet was 94,8% and average of evaluation test was 90%. Thus, it was concluded that the salt hydrolysis e-module based on guided inquiry learning virtual laboratories integrated was produced was valid and practical

    Tingkat Penerapan Pendekatan Saintifik antara Buku Ajar Edupark Fisika Mifan Waterpark Padang Panjang dengan Buku Standar

    The scientific approach is a learning process that is procedurally designed according to the general steps of scientific activity. This study aims to determine the suitability of the application of the scientific approach in accordance with the 2013 curriculum for SMA / MA. The research used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The population in this study was the Edupark Physics research books. The standard book used is seen from several high school physics textbooks made in Indonesia and used in West Sumatra. The sample in this study was the Edupark Textbook of Mifan Waterpark Padang Panjang Physics and standard books namely Physics book for SMA / MA class X curriculum 2013 revised 2016 and class XI curriculum 2013 in 2017 published by Erlangga with the instruction of Marthen Kanginan. The data in this study were taken using research instruments and data collection techniques through documentation studies. The results showed that the level of appropriateness of the application of the scientific approach in the textbook Edupark Physics Mifan Waterpark Padang Panjang based on Permendikbud No. 103 of 2014, there are still many subject matter that have not applied the steps in the scientific approach, so that the results obtained are not in accordance with the percentage 39.6 %. Whereas the standard book that is used has a percentage of 38.2% with the category not quite right. Thus it can be concluded that the Teaching Edupark Textbook of Mifan Waterpark Padang Panjang has a category that is equivalent to the standard book used. However, it is necessary to conduct a review so that the application of the scientific approach to the two books has more appropriate results
