The Role of Gus Miek in Education for Generation Z Santri
Islamic education ideally encompasses the development of cognitive, spiritual, moral, and emotional aspects to shape muttaqin individuals, especially in the context of Generation Z, who tend to rely more on social media than teacher guidance. This study aims to examine the role of Gus Miek in educating santri through an inclusive and contextual da’wah approach. The research employs a literature study method by analyzing secondary sources related to Gus Miek’s thoughts and da’wah practices. The findings reveal that Gus Miek developed the concept of jalan terabas, a non-conventional da’wah approach that emphasizes empathy and openness, particularly for individuals engaged in deviant behavior. He conducted direct spiritual guidance in marginalized settings such as nightclubs and entertainment venues. His educational model is relevant to Generation Z, highlighting compassion, inclusiveness, and pressure-free learning. Gus Miek’s contribution demonstrates that a humanistic religious approach can effectively engage youth segments and shape contextual religious character in modern times

Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) memiliki peran yangsangat penting dalam mendorong serta menjaga perkembanganekonomi di Indonesia. UMKM berkontribusi besar denganmemberikan sumber daya bagi para pelaku usaha dan membukalapangan pekerjaan untuk masyarakat. Untuk tetap bersaing di pasarglobal, UMKM di Indonesia terus meningkatkan inovasi danpengembangan diri guna mempertahankan eksistensinya dalam dunia bisnis. Namun, meningkatnya persaingan dengan pelaku usaha lain yang menawarkan produk serupa memberikan pengaruh yangsignifikan pada tingkat penjualan dan pendapatan mereka. Implementasi Supervisi Pendidikan sebagai Cara untuk Meningkatkan Kinerja Guru dalam Proses Belajar Mengajar
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi supervisi pendidikan sebagai strategi dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam proses belajar mengajar. Kinerja guru yang optimal merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan kualitas pembelajaran dan capaian peserta didik. Namun, berbagai tantangan masih dihadapi guru di lapangan, mulai dari kurangnya inovasi pembelajaran, lemahnya evaluasi, hingga rendahnya kesadaran reflektif terhadap praktik mengajar. Supervisi pendidikan hadir sebagai salah satu instrumen penting dalam membimbing, mendampingi, dan meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, dan pengawas pendidikan pada jenjang menengah pertama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan supervisi yang terstruktur, partisipatif, dan berbasis kebutuhan guru mampu meningkatkan kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran, strategi mengajar, dan evaluasi belajar peserta didik. Supervisi juga mendorong lahirnya budaya refleksi, kolaborasi antar guru, dan peningkatan motivasi kerja. Selain itu, pendekatan supervisi yang humanis dan berbasis dialog dinilai lebih efektif dibanding pendekatan kontrol yang bersifat top-down. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pentingnya pelatihan kompetensi supervisor, sistem monitoring yang berkelanjutan, serta pelibatan guru secara aktif dalam proses supervisi. The Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Biology Learning Outcomes of Class XI Students of State Senior High Schools in Bulukumba Regency
The background of the research highlights the challenges faced in the education sector, particularly in Indonesia, such as low academic performance and underdeveloped critical thinking skills among students.. This study aims to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence with biology learning outcomes. The population was 1345 class XI students with a sample of 398 students selected by proportional random sampling. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of emotional intelligence on the biology learning outcomes of students in class XI of State High School in Bulukumba Regency. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method with correlational approach. Data were collected using Likert scale questionnaire distribution to students and multiple choice test questions and data were analyzed using regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that emotional intelligence has a significant influence on learning outcomes with a sig value. 0.000 <0.05 and a contribution of 40%. The influence of emotional intelligence on learning outcomes by 40% shows that this ability has a fairly important role in helping students improve their learning outcomes. Overall, emotional intelligence has a positive, broad and profound influence on students learning outcomes. The ability to manage emotions, build social relationships, and make wise decisions for each individual student can optimize their academic potential so that they can develop into emotionally and intellectually balanced individuals. Therefore, emotional intelligence is an integral part of education to improve the quality of learning and achievement of student learning outcomes
Effect of Hydrothermal Extraction Temperature on Antioxidant Activity of Phaleria Macrocarpa
Phaleria macrocarpa, or God\u27s Crown, is a medicinal plant rich in bioactive compounds, including minerals, vitamins, alkaloids, flavonoids, and vincristine (a polyphenol). These compounds have shown potential in treating various ailments such as cancer, diabetes, kidney stones, diarrhoea, and vomiting. This study aimed to optimize the extraction of bioactive compounds, particularly flavonoids and phenols, from P. macrocarpa fruit. Various extraction methods were employed, including hydrothermal extraction at different temperatures, decoction, and maceration. The resulting extracts were analysed for total flavonoid and phenol content and antioxidant activity. Colorimetric methods, using AlCl₃ and Folin-Ciocalteu reagents, were used to determine the respective contents. Antioxidant activity was assessed using the DPPH assay. Hydrothermal extraction at 175°C yielded the highest levels of flavonoids, phenols, and antioxidant activity. However, higher temperatures led to a decrease in these parameters, suggesting that excessive heat can degrade bioactive compounds
Formulation of Functional Yogurt from Corn-Mung Bean Extract Blend Using Commercial Biokul Starter Culture
Yogurt is a fermented dairy product containing Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Streptococcus thermophilus, known for its health benefits. This study aimed to evaluate the color quality, hedonic acceptance, and pH of yogurt formulated with a blend of corn extract and mung bean extract. The research was conducted at Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya, Palembang, employing an experimental method involving: (1) preparation of corn and mung bean extracts, followed by (2) fermentation using commercial plain yogurt starter culture (Biokul brand). We compared: monocomponent (corn) versus composite (corn-mung bean) formulations. Results demonstrated significant color variation between single-extract (corn) and blended-extract yogurts. Hedonic testing revealed significantly higher consumer preference for the blended formulation compared to corn-only yogurt. pH analysis showed no statistically significant difference between the final pH values of both products. The study concludes that the optimal product formulation is the sweet corn-mung bean blended yogurt, based on superior organoleptic acceptance while maintaining equivalent acidity levels
Microwave Assisted Alkaline (NaOH) Pretreatment Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit Dalam Peningkatan Produksi Bioetanol Generasi Kedua
The scarcity of fossil fuels drove the development of renewable energy, including second-generation bioethanol derived from lignocellulosic biomass. Empty Fruit Bunches of Oil Palm (EFBOP) represented an abundant agro-industrial waste rich in cellulose, thus showing potential as a bioethanol feedstock. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of the Microwave Assisted-Alkaline Pretreatment method in optimizing the conversion of EFBOP into bioethanol. The pretreatment process employed NaOH and microwave radiation to reduce lignin content, increase cellulose concentration, and decrease crystallinity levels. The study also evaluated the influence of Microwave Power (380 W, 500 W, 700 W) and alkali concentration (0.5 M, 0.6 M, 0.7 M) on lignin, cellulose, hemicellulose content, and ethanol production. The research sought to enhance the efficiency of converting EFBOP waste into renewable energy, supporting environmental sustainability and energy security. Results revealed the optimal pretreatment condition with 0.6 M NaOH concentration and 500 W microwave power, achieving a lignin reduction from 40.73% to 29.48%. The final bioethanol yield reached 14%.Kelangkaan bahan bakar fosil mendorong pengembangan energi terbarukan, salah satunya bioetanol generasi kedua yang berbahan baku lignoselulosa. Tandan Kosong Kelapa Sawit (TKKS) merupakan limbah agroindustri yang melimpah dan kaya akan selulosa, sehingga berpotensi sebagai bahan baku bioetanol. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas metode Microwave Assisted-Alkaline Pretreatment dalam mengoptimalkan konversi TKKS menjadi bioetanol. Proses praperlakuan menggunakan NaOH dan gelombang mikro bertujuan untuk mengurangi kandungan lignin, meningkatkan kadar selulosa, serta menurunkan tingkat kristalinitas. Penelitian ini juga mengevaluasi pengaruh Daya Microwave (380 W, 500 W, 700W) dan konsentrasi alkali (0,5 M, 0,6 M, 0,7 M) terhadap kadar lignin, selulosa, hemiselulosa, serta produksi etanol. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan efisiensi konversi limbah TKKS menjadi energi terbarukan, mendukung keberlanjutan lingkungan dan ketahanan energi. Hasilnya didapatkan kondisi optimal metode pretreatment menggunakan microwave yaitu dengan Konsentasi NaOH 0,6 M dan daya microwave 500 W terjadi penurunan lignin 40,73 % menjadi 29,48 %. Dengan hasil akhir Bioetanol sebesar 14%
Behavioral Counseling with Self-Management Techniques to Increase Self-Awareness of Educational Staff at Universitas Panji Sakti, Indonesia
This study aims to determine whether behavioral counseling combined with self-management techniques can increase the self-awareness of academic staff at Universitas Panji Sakti. The hypothesis proposed is that if behavioral counseling with self-management techniques is applied effectively, the self-awareness of academic staff will increase. This study uses a Counseling Guidance Action Research (CGAR) approach in two cycles, which consists of the stages of identification, diagnosis, prognosis, counseling, evaluation, and reflection. A purposive sampling technique was used to select 14 academic staff who showed self-awareness and needed improvement based on the initial assessment. The research instruments included questionnaires, interviews, and observations. The validity test was carried out through content validity with an item correlation above 0.70, while the reliability test used Alpha Cronbach with a value of 0.85. The results showed an increase in self-awareness from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I, 12 out of 14 academic staff increased from 79.8% to 88.6%, with an average increase of 8.8%. The five staff members who did not meet the completion criteria continued to Cycle II, increasing from 80.5% to 88.3% and an average increase of 7.9%. Although two staff members have not reached the "very good" category, the overall success indicator has exceeded 85%. These findings indicate that the self-management technique of behavioral counseling is effective in increasing the self-awareness of academic staff. With the systematic approach of PTBK, interventions can be carried out in stages and evaluated to ensure their effectiveness
Comparative Study of Zakat and Dana in the Qur\u27an and Tripitaka: An Offer of Interfaith Dialogue
Diversity in religion is inevitable. Zakat and Dana are concepts of giving in Islam and Buddhism that show diversity in religious approaches to the value of giving. This paper starts with three important questions: a) How are the concepts of zakat and dana in the Qur\u27an and Tripitaka? b) What are the similarities and differences between zakat and dana in the Qur\u27an and Tripitaka? c) How does the comparison of Zakat and Dana in the two books realize interfaith dialogue? The findings in this article show that both the Qur\u27an and Tripitaka provide guidance related to the concept of giving as a universal value. Both teach the importance of sharing as a form of goodness that supports the welfare of individuals and society. The differences between zakat and dana lie in their nature, implementation, and religious dimensions that can complement each other. This study shows that zakat and dana can be platforms for dialogue between religious communities. The diversity in these two religious traditions can strengthen tolerance and harmony
Called and Chosen as Servants of God: A Study of the Theology of Pastoral Ordination in the Midst of Church Ministry
Pastoral ordination or ordination is a part of the church system that has deep theological meaning. The process of giving (ordination) is not only a church rite or ceremony, but reflects God\u27s unique call for someone to serve as a servant of God in the capacity of a pastor. In Christian theology, this calling and ordination is considered an important part of the true and holy structure of the church, where a pastor is sent to nurture, teach, and guide the congregation towards maturity in the faith. This article explains how ministers of ordained pastors believe that God\u27s calling and election of them is their calling and election as God\u27s servants who serve in the church. To achieve the aim of this article, this article will begin by exploring biblical studies regarding the election and calling of God\u27s servants. This is then continued with a theological discussion about ordination theology and how to contextualize God\u27s servants in pastors in the midst of church services
