Adsorption Isotherm and Kinetic Studies of Chitosan–Coffee Husk Carbon Composite Beads for the Removal of Congo Red and Methylene Blue
Investigation of adsorption of Congo Red (CR) and Methylene Blue (MB) dyes by coffee skin carbon chitosan composite beads (CCCB) has been carried out. The adsorbent was synthesized with varying mass ratio of chitosan and carbon. The composite was synthesized with PVA as a crosslinker agent. This research was carried out in several stages for adsorbent preparation, the effect of contact time (adsorption kinetics), and isotherm adsorption. Adsorption studies were carried out using a batch system. The effect of adsorption contact time was carried out at a contact time of 15 - 150 minutes, adsorbent dose of 10 g/L with dyes volume of 10 mL and initial dyes concentration of 25 mg/L. The optimum adsorption time of MB was obtained at 90 minutes with the adsorption percentage of 91.50% with 1:1 carbon chitosan composite beads. The optimum adsorption time of CR was obtained at 150 minutes with the adsorption percentage of 96.01% with chitosan beads. The kinetics result is in line with pseudo second order rate equation for all application. The isotherm studies almost follow the Langmuir isotherm models

The Influence of Madrasah Principal Work Motivation on Teacher Performance at Jombang
Teacher performance is a crucial factor in educational quality. Several issues contribute to suboptimal teacher performance, including mismatch between academic background and teaching field, substandard teacher qualifications, unmet teacher welfare, and lack of understanding of the 2013 Curriculum (K13). According to the 2016 UNESCO Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report, Indonesia ranks 10th out of 14 developing countries in education, with teacher quality ranked last. This study aims to analyze the influence of the madrasah principal’s policy and work motivation on teacher performance at MI Mujahidin Parimono Jombang. A quantitative method was employed with a saturated sampling technique, involving all teachers as respondents and a questionnaire comprising 45 items. The findings revealed that the principal’s policy had no significant partial effect on teacher performance (sig. T = 0.916 > 0.05), whereas work motivation had a significant effect (sig. T = 0.041 < 0.05). Simultaneously, both policy and work motivation significantly influenced teacher performance (sig. F = 0.000 < 0.05). These results suggest that although policy alone does not impact teacher performance, motivation plays a pivotal role, and combined with supportive leadership, it can enhance performance outcomes

The regular practice of Al-Ma’tsurat dhikr significantly enhances the students\u27 tranquility, reduces stress, strengthens their faith, and fosters solidarity and togetherness within the community. Additionally, the practice of dhikr helps in the formation of disciplined and spiritually strong characters among the students. This research highlights the importance of ensuring the authenticity of hadiths used in religious practices and the significant benefits of regular dhikr practice in educational settings. The study concludes with recommendations for reinforcing dhikr materials, developing comprehensive dhikr programs, enhancing educational quality, and conducting further research on the broader impacts of dhikr.
Legal Politics of Restricting Access to Online Gambling in Fiqh Siyasah and Saddu adz-Dzariah Perspectives
This research examines how online gambling poses serious threats to the stability and cohesion of family life. Regardless of the individuals involved, its influence often results in psychological harm such as addiction, job loss, family breakdown, indebtedness, and even criminal behavior. These issues call for in-depth examination through normative legal methods combined with real-time case studies, highlighting online gambling as a current and pressing legal issue. This study employs the framework of fiqh siyasah alongside the principle of saddu adz-dzari\u27ah to guide its analysis. From a legal-political perspective, some argue that Indonesia could legalize online gambling to increase state revenue through entertainment taxes. However, this perspective contradicts the principles of siyasah maaliyah within fiqh siyasah, which emphasizes that state income should align with both worldly and spiritual welfare. Accordingly, siyasah dusturiyah underscores the importance of preventing the potential harms (mafsadat) associated with online gambling, in line with the principle of saddu adz-dzari\u27ah, to protect the integrity of families in Indonesia
Reimagining the Legal Framework for Interfaith Marriage in Indonesia: A Path Toward Inclusive Matrimonial Recognition
Indonesian marriage law does not explicitly regulate the legal status of interfaith marriages, resulting in legal uncertainty and varied judicial interpretations. This lack of clarity has prompted differing court decisions regarding such unions. Ideally, the judiciary should offer clear legal guidance on matters of public concern. Consequently, there is a pressing need for a well-defined legal framework to address the status of interfaith marriages in Indonesia. This study seeks to identify a normative resolution to this legal ambiguity. Employing normative legal research with a statutory approach, the study relies on data collected through a comprehensive literature review of books, relevant laws, and previous scholarly works, which are then analyzed descriptively. The findings reveal that Supreme Court Circular Letter (SEMA) No. 2 of 2023, which provides judicial guidelines on handling requests for the registration of marriages between individuals of different religions and beliefs, can serve to fill the existing legal void. Although courts have previously demonstrated inconsistency on this matter, the circular explicitly instructs judges to reject such marriage registration requests, citing incompatibility with respective religious doctrines. In conclusion, the study highlights that SEMA No. 2 of 2023 plays a pivotal role in promoting regulatory coherence regarding interfaith marriages in Indonesia and in minimizing the associated legal uncertainties
LIFE SKILLS-BASED EDUCATION AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION FOR STUDENTS OF INTEGRATED ISLAMIC JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOLS
This study aims to explore the implementation of life skills-based education in Islamic Junior High Schools in the Semarang Regency and to identify the associated challenges and potential solutions. Using an exploratory descriptive qualitative design, the research was conducted at selected Islamic Junior High Schools in the region. Data were gathered through interviews, observations, and documentation. The researchers conducted interviews with key informants, observed the implementation of life skills education, documented relevant activities and materials, and ensured the validity and reliability of the data through source and method triangulation. The findings reveal that the implementation of life skills education involves three key stages: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the planning phase, schools developed operational curriculum guidelines, strategic plans, and supporting documents such as syllabi, teaching modules, and instructional materials. In the implementation phase, two schools adopted a variety of strategies including: (1) the Reflect-Practice-Study (RTL) strategy, (2) learner-centered approaches, (3) contextually relevant life skills techniques, and (4) enhanced extracurricular activities as part of a community-based education approach. In the evaluation phase, schools employed the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation model to assess program effectiveness. This research provides valuable insights for schools and policymakers on the importance of developing life skills-oriented curricula and underscores the need to continuously evaluate educational programs. It also contributes to the broader understanding of life skills education within the context of Islamic Junior High Schools
Forecasting and Raw Material Planning in Traditional Songkok Production Using ARIMA and Simple Exponential Smoothing
This study investigates the applicability of time series forecasting models—Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average (ARIMA) and Simple Exponential Smoothing (SES)—for optimizing raw material planning in traditional songkok production. Utilizing monthly production data from a small-scale manufacturer in East Java, Indonesia (July 2020–August 2024), the ARIMA(1,1,1) model demonstrated superior forecasting performance, particularly under weak and irregular seasonality. Compared to SES, ARIMA yielded lower MAE, MSE, and MAPE values, enabling more precise production planning. The forecasts were translated into raw material requirements, resulting in improved inventory precision and operational efficiency, with monthly material usage gains ranging from 2.05% to 2.18%. These improvements are especially critical for micro-enterprises constrained by limited resources and seasonally driven demand cycles. While the univariate approach is a limitation, the findings provide a foundation for integrating contextual data in future multivariate models. The study offers practical insights for digital transformation in artisanal sectors and contributes to the broader discourse on data-driven production planning in culturally embedded industries

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of political campaign communication that leverages cultural identity and social capital in shaping voter behavior, using the case of Herman Deru’s campaign in the 2018 South Sumatra gubernatorial election. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and campaign media documentation. The findings show that Herman Deru strategically constructed an ethnic Komering identity narrative using local symbols such as the slogan “Putra Asli Komering” and regional language, which fostered emotional closeness with voters. In addition, the mobilization of social capital through bonding (ethnic solidarity), bridging (inter-group relations), and linking (access to political and economic elites) expanded campaign outreach and strengthened public trust. The integration of identity-based political communication with structured social networks proved effective in influencing voter behavior, particularly in a multicultural society like South Sumatra. This study concludes that political communication combining symbolic and structural elements can serve as a powerful electoral strategy in local political contests
Reducing Understanding of Online Gossip in the Perspective of the Qur\u27an: From Impact to Solution
In this era of Society 5.0, humanity is faced with a new era marked by rapid technological advancements. With the rise of social media platforms, communication between people is no longer hindered by physical distance, making it easier and more accessible than ever before. However, recent findings suggest that the prevalence of social media today is no longer primarily about education, information, or motivation, but rather about content that goes viral, specifically “online gossip.” This study aims to discuss online gossip from the perspective of the Qur\u27an, analyzing its impacts and potential solutions. The method used is qualitative, employing the Tafsir Maudhu\u27i approach with descriptive-analytical data analysis. The results and discussion reveal that the Qur’an’s perspective on online gossip stems from feelings of insecurity and a lack of gratitude for what Allah has bestowed upon humanity. The consequences of gossip are not only spiritual and otherworldly, such as the threat of punishment in the afterlife, but also cause social harm in this world. Therefore, the highly recommended solution is to engage in regular self-reflection or introspection. By recognizing that every human being is created with their own uniqueness, strengths, and weaknesses, it is hoped that individuals can refrain from the tendency to discuss others\u27 faults. This research contributes to reducing the phenomenon of online gossip in the midst of the rapid development of the Society 5.0 era.In this era of Society 5.0, humanity is faced with a new era marked by rapid technological advancements.
