Nuovi apporti allo studio del manoscritto crisostomico Athous Stavronikita 6
This article, made possible by an examination of the digital colour reproduction of the entire manuscript, aims to highlight some significant contributions concerning the famous Chrysostom MS Athous Stavronikita 6 (ID No. 30067). Firstly, the catalogue status of the codex will be reviewed, and two hitherto unreported homilies will be included in the sequence. Secondly, the following section discusses the manuscript's contribution to the textual tradition of the Quindecim novae homiliae. A meticulous codicological and palaeographical study of the Stavronikita 6 – as far as the reproductions made it possible – is the main subject of the third part, concluding with a detailed examination of the manuscript's colophon and the modern-hand note on the inside cover, showing important news on the provenance of the codex in order to present their significant contribution to the Textgeschichte

'Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World' (2010) d’Edgar Wright. Esthétique intermédiale et surrégime d’images
Released in 2010, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World is a romantic comedy directed by Edgar Wright and inspired by the geek culture. This movie has a particularly dense referential spectrum. Indeed, the director multiplies quotations from comics and video games during the story, through his dialogues or his frames. However, he does not just want to amuse the spectators by playing with their personal knowledge. Wright uses advances in digital imaging and adds various visual elements from other media cultures to his shots. The result is a series of interaesthetic hybridizations in filmic forms and narrative processes. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World shows that the notion of intermediality invites us to question images without limiting them to their original medium

The Sarian Siren: A Conflux of Beautiful Monstrosity in Murder, Mystery, and Makeup
This article features a dual discussion of both monster studies as a growing field and the modern storytelling medium of the podcasting genre. By analyzing the themes included in YouTuber Bailey Sarian’s video series Murder, Mystery, and Makeup, we can see how monstrosity in humans not only persists in the twenty-first century but is seen as a continuation of the fascination with monstrosity perpetuated in classical times through myriad legends and lore. The siren, a particularly famous figure, was said to have tempted men with the knowledge that only they possessed, a draw that eventually morphed into the sexualization of the once sexless beings. Sarian seems to embody the siren in her work, providing us with knowledge that we are simultaneously disturbed by but can’t turn away from
Correlation Between Auditory Processing And Occupational Performance Of Office Workers
Abstract Objective: Auditory processing is essential for everyday communication throughout different aspects of one’s everyday life. The present study aims to investigate the correlation between auditory processing and work performance. Methods: Thirty-eight office workers were recruited. Auditory processing ability was assessed with speech in noise, duration pattern, and auditory memory tests. High and low-performance groups were formed for each test. Occupational performance was self-reported with the Amsterdam Checklist for Hearing and Work (ACHW). Pure-tone audiograms (PTA) were also conducted. Results: Temporal processing correlated with social support, career satisfaction, and job control. Working memory correlated with listening effort, frequency of following conversations in quiet, and job control. Speech in noise perceptual ability correlated with the frequency of distinguishing between sounds. Conclusion: Results from this study suggest that there is a correlation between auditory processing and work performance, particularly in temporal processing skills. The latter was correlated with social support and career satisfaction. Better working memory was correlated with less listening effort and more frequent conversations in quiet, respectively. Furthermore, better recognition of speech in noise in the left ear was linked to more frequent distinguishing between sounds at work. Overall, the findings highlight the importance of auditory processing abilities in occupational performance for office workers. Future research including a larger population or participants working at noisy workplaces could shed light on this particular connection.
Differences in the availability of orphan drugs among the European countries
ABSTRACT Introduction: 30 million people in the European population are affected by a rare disease. Rare diseases are characterized by a particularly low prevalence. Most of these diseases have a genetic cause. The aim of this article was to show the differences in the availability of orphan drugs between the European countries. Methods: All orphan drugs were taken from the Orphanet list, and they are all centrally authorised by the European Medicine Agency (EMA). The comparison as well as the differences between the countries were summarized in a table. Results: In the mainly Eastern European markets such as Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania and Croatia, the proportion of orphan drugs available is 30%. Between 50 and 70 % of medicines are available in France, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Greece, Sweden, Portugal, the Czech Republic and Slovenia. In Germany, Denmark, Austria and Italy, more than 70% of approved orphan drugs are available. Conclusion: Patient access to orphan drugs remains problematic and varies greatly from country to country, with Western European countries having the best possible availability
