    PENINGKATAN KANDUNGAN SERAT PADA PENGOLAHAN SOSIS IKAN GABUS (Channa Striata) DENGAN PENAMBAHAN BROKOLI (Brassica oleracea var italica)

    Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kandungan serat pada sosis ikan gabus (Channa striata) dengan penambahan brokoli (Brassica oleracea var italica) dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan brokoli (Brassica oleracea var italica) pada sosis ikan gabus (Channa striata) terhadap tingkat penerimaan panelis. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada penelitian telah meningkatkan kandungan serat pada pengolahan sosis ikan gabus (Channa striata) dengan penambahan brokoli (Brassica oleracea var italica) dan juga meningkat pada uji kadar abu, kadar air, kadar protein, dan kadar lemak. Peningkatan pada kandungan gizi serat pengolahan sosis ikan gabus semakin tinggi dengan penambahan brokoli yang bertambah pada setiap perlakuan. Pada sosis ikan gabus (Channa striata) dengan penambahan brokoli (Brassica oleracea var italica) mendapat hasil penerimaan baik dari panelis berdasarkan uji organoleptik dan hasil nilai indeks efektivitas peningkatan kandungan serat pada pengolahan sosis ikan gabus (Channa striata) dengan penambahan brokoli (Brassica oleracea var italica) diperoleh perlakuan terbaik 0,60 dengan penambahan brokoli 35 gram

    Penelitian ini mengkaji perbedaan signifikan pada abnormal return saat terjadi pengumuman right issue, stock split dan mergers & acquisitions. Studi ini dilakukan pada perusahaan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia dari tahun 2020-2023. Variabel independen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah right issue, stock split dan mergers & acquisitions. Variabel dependen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah abnormal return. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode market model pada saat corporate action dengan pengamatan event window 20 hari sebelum dan 20 hari setelah pengumuman right issue, stock split, dan mergers & acquisitions. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data harga penutupan saham serta Indeks Harga Saham Gabungan (IHSG). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada abnormal return saat terjadi right issue, sedangkan terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada abnormal return saat terjadi stock split dan mergers & acquisitions

    Tujuan dalam penelitian ini secara umum untuk mendeskripsikan Manajemen Program In House Training Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru Dalam Menyusun Modul Ajar Pada Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 6 Palangka Raya. maka supaya lebih jelas secara khusus penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perencanaan Program In House Training Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru Dalam Menyusun Modul Ajar, (2) pengorganisasian Program In House Training Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru Dalam Menyusun Modul Ajar, (3) pelaksanaan Program In House Training Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru Dalam Menyusun Modul Ajar, (4) pengawasan Program In House Training Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru Dalam Menyusun Modul Ajar. Pada penelitian ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tiga macam teknik pengumpulan data meliputi: observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman bernama (flowchart analysis) atau diagram mengalir, yang mana memiliki kegiatan analisis meliputi: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian: perencanaan meliputi: 1) Mengadakan pertemuan rapat, 2) Membentuk Tim perencana In House Training (IHT, 3) Menganalisis kebutuhan guru, 4) Merencanakan prosedur, dan kebutuhan kegiatan In House Training (IHT). pengorganisasian meliputi: 1) Adanya rapat antara Kepala Sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Kurikulum, dan Bendahara Sekolah. 2) Penunjukan Guru Pembantu penyelenggaran kegiatan In House Training (IHT). 3) Penentuan tema pelatihan, dan jadwal kegiatan. pelaksanaan meliputi: 1) Pelaksanaan kegiatan Program In House Training Sebagai Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Guru Dalam Menyusun Modul Ajar berjalan sesuai dengan rencana yang telah dibuat. 2) Tersedianya sarana dan prasarana yang memadai , sehingga pelaksanaan kegiatan berjalan dengan lancar. 3) Materi yang disampaikan oleh Narasumber mudah dipahami oleh peserta pelatihan. 4) Narasumber melakukan presentasi dengan menggunakan metode komunikasi interaktif. 5) Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan Narasumber memberikan tugas kepada peserta pelatihan, tugas ini berupa pembuatan modul ajar. pengawasan meliputi: 1) Kegiatan pengawasan dilakukan oleh Kepala Sekolah. 2) Kepala Sekolah melakukan pengecekan dan memantau situasi lokasi pengadaan pelatihan. 3) Kepala Sekolah ikut memberikan bantuan dan mengambil tindakan korektif bagi peserta pelatihan jika ada hal yang tidak dipahami. pendukung dan penghambat meliputi: 1) Peserta pelatihan terlibat aktif dalam mengikuti kegiatan. 2) Tersedianya sarana dan prasarana dalam melaksanakan kegiatan. 3) Waktu pelaksanaan kegiatan, menganggu jam pelajaran. 3) Adanya guru yang belum mengusai teknologi, terutama Guru-guru yang memasuki usia pensiun

    The study aimed at measuring the significant effect of using Animation Educational Videos for students’ writing skills of recount text at eighth grade of SMPN 7 Palangka Raya. Pre-experimental method and one group pre-test and post-test design are used to conduct the research.The subject of this research was eighth graders of SMPN 7 Palangka Raya. The study belonged to quantitative. The writer designed the lesson plan, conducted the treatment and observed the students’ score by pre-test and post-test. The population of study was the eighth graders at SMPN 7 Palangka Raya. The sample was determined using non-random sampling which is purposive sampling.The results of the test calculation showed Sig (0.000). The value of the confidence interval in this research is 95% which means the research error rate is 5% or 0.05. If the value of Sig. < 0.05 then Ho is rejected or Ha is accepted. It could be concluded that the use of Animation Educational Video gives significant effect to students’ skills in writing at the eighth-grade students of SMPN 7 Palangka Raya. Animation Educational Video is a good option for teacher, it can be used as a model in preparing material and activities for teaching writing. YouTube Video is one of the suitable media because it is enjoyable and attractive. The use of video in writing class will create contextual learning because video not only bring information in attractive way but also entertain the students

    THE EFFECT OF USING PARTNER READING STRATEGY ON STUDENTS’ READING ABILITY IN NARRATIVE TEXT OF THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS AT MAN KOTA PALANGKA RAYA

    The problem focused in this research was to determine whether there was a significant impact of the Partner Reading Strategy in improving the students’ reading ability in narrative text of the eleventh-grade students at MAN Kota Palangka Raya. The research used quantitative approach. The research design used in this research was One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population consisted of eleventh-grade students of MAN Kota Palangka Raya, with a sample of 30 students from XI Bahasa selected through stratified random sampling. The data collected were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank Test method in SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Science) Version 27. The results indicated a Sig. value of 0.001, and it was lower than the significance level of 0.05 (5%) for two-tailed test. This led to the acceptance of the Ha (alternative hypothesis) and the rejection of the H0 (null hypothesis), due to the value of Sig. was lower than the significance level of 0.05 (5%) for two-tailed test. Additionally, the findings from the questionnaire showed that the students responded positively, with "Strongly Agree" ratings for all questions after being analyzed using the percentage index formula. The Partner Strategy was a collaborative strategy that enhanced students’ reading skills in narrative texts in several ways, 1). Improved Reading Fluency by listening to and mimicking their partner’s reading, stronger readers provided a model for weaker readers to follow. 2). Enhanced skill, its allowed students to discuss elements of the narrative, work together to solve challenges. This suggested that the Partner Reading Strategy was effective in improving students’ reading ability in narrative text of the eleventh-grade students at MAN Kota Palangka Raya

    AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENT'S DIFFICULTIES IN WRITING DESCRIPTIVE TEXT IN THE TENTH GRADE OF SMA ISEN MULANG PALANGKA RAYA

    The purpose of this study is to analyze the most frequent mistakes made by students in writing descriptive texts and the challenges faced by students in writing descriptive texts. The design of this study was a qualitative descriptive method. Through purposive sampling technique, 8 students of tenth grade of SMA Isen Mulang Palangka Raya were selected as samples of this study. There are four instruments used in this research: written tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. To analyze the data, the researcher identified students' writing using an assessment rubric adapted from Brown (2007) and modified based on theory Gerot (1994), which emphasizes generic structure and linguistic features. The rubric evaluates five aspects: identification, description, vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics, reflecting adjustments from Brown's original rubric (2007), which includes content, organization, grammar, mechanics, and vocabulary. The findings showed that students made mistakes in linguistic features : vocabulary aspects 18%, grammar 57%, and mechanics 25%. However, in the generic structure descriptive text, the researcher did not find any errors in students' writing. The results of the analysis show that the largest number of errors are in grammar, totaling 60 errors. Students face challenges so that they experience some difficulties in writing descriptive texts. The challenges facing students in writing descriptive texts are in the aspects of vocabulary, grammar, and mechanics. The reasons behind students' difficulties are lack of vocabulary, lack of grammar skills, and writing in a hurry

    THE EFFECT OF TEAM GAMES TOURNAMENT (TGT) METHOD ON ELLs' LISTENING SKILLS IN ELEVENTH GRADE OF SMKN 4 PALANGKA RAYA

    For English Language Learners (ELLs), listening comprehension is essential. In the classroom, students usually use listening skills to communicate. This study aims to find out the effect of Team Games Tournament on students listening skills with the narrative texts. TGT is an activity that include teaching, team study, tournament, and recognition. Focusing on students’ listening skills, this study purposed to inform the effectiveness of the methods on students’ listening ability. This study conducted on SMKN 4 Palangka Raya, the sample of this study 30 eleventh-grade students from XI-DKV 3. The one-group pre-test and post-test design was applied on this experimental research. In the pre-test, students were given 20 multiple choice narrative text listening questions as in the post-test to see if there was an effect of Team Games Tournament method on students’ listening skills. At the treatment stages, the researcher divided students into 5 groups consists of 6 students in each group. Those activities conducted to seek which group came out as the champion of the games by giving the listening multiple-choice question. The researcher gained the data by using the SPSS Version 24. The data of the pre-test and post-test score was distributed normally using the Shapiro-Wilk test, means that the researcher used the Paired sample T-test for the hypothesis testing. The result of the calculation of the test showed that the value of Sig. (2 tailed) Sig. < 0.05 so that Ha accepted and Ho rejected. The result of the hypothesis testing showed there was an effect of Team Games Tournament (TGT) on ELL’s listening skills at SMKN 4 Palangka Raya. The statistical data analysis supports the result of this research that there was a positive effect on ELL’s listening skills by using Team Games Tournament method

    STUDENTS’ PROBLEMS IN MASTERING VOCABULARY AT SMA NEGERI 5 PALANGKA RAYA

    The purpose of this research conducted was to find out students' problemsin mastering vocabulary, and find out the factors cause of students’ problems inmastering vocabulary in XI Social 1 at SMA Negeri 5 Palangka Raya because inthis class, students faced several problems to learning English subject, and ofthese problems is the ability of students in mastering vocabulary.Then researcher applied qualitative methods, and a case study approach toconduct this research. The data collection taken from test, questionnaire, andinterview. The test used to identified students’problems in mastering vocabulary,which has two section, namely, oral test and written test. The use of questionnairein this research to confirms students’ problems, and find out the factors cause ofstudents problems in mastering vocabulary. There are two types of questions inthe questionnaire, that is close-ended, and open-ended question. Then the last datacollection is interview, to confirms and finds the detail about the results ofquestionnaire. Furthermore, the data analyzed use three steps, namely, datareduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. In data reduction, the dataresults taken from the test, and questionnaire to identified students’ problems andfactors cause in mastering vocabulary. While the data results from interview, itwas to find out the detail of the data results of questionnaire. In data display, theresearcher reorganized the data results from test, questionnaire, and interview, soresearcher could connect and analyze the data. Further, drawing conclusion is thelast steps of data analysis in this research, and the purpose of this last steps toanalyze the data results of test, questionnaire, and interview.Lastly, the result shown, students are difficult to pronounced theunfamilliar word, confused between the pronunciatiation and written of English,memorize the long and fast words, confused for the structure of English, and alsothey almost could not answer the question in interview section because theirinsufficiant vocabulary in English. Additionally, the research also found thefactors cause of students’ problems in mastering vocabulary that appeared frominside the student, such as students’ laziness, boredom, and students told English isdifficult, and learn English only as the requirements subjects. On the other hand,there are also the factors cause appeared outside the student, like the passivemethods used by teacher in the class, such as only learning used book that madestudents less interested in learning process, and also the learning English withoutlearning facilities which could support the learning more attractive for students

    THE EFFECT OF USING PROJECT-BASED LEARNING (PjBL) THROUGH STORYTELLING IN IMPROVING STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILL OF THE ELEVENTH GRADE STUDENTS AT SMAN 4 PALANGKA RAYA

    Most of the teachers in class hardly encourage the students in Englishlanguage-based oral interactions. Moreover, Indonesia’s English learning method stillhas monotonous activities, especially in speaking comprehension. Therefore, thisresearch was conducted to determine the effect of Project-based Learning (PjBL)through storytelling on students’ speaking skills.This research used quantitative research methods where the type of researchwas a pre-experimental design which used one group pre-test and post-test. Thesubject of this research was the eleventh-grade students of SMAN 4 Palangka Raya.The populations were 419 students, the treatment group was XI-1 as many as 36students. Instruction test was used as the research instrument and the data wereanalyzed by statistical data calculation which used the Wilcoxon Ranked Test MethodThe result of the research, the mean score of the post-test is higher than thepre-test (71.48 > 68.25). The result of data calculation by using the WilcoxonRanked Method in different test pre-test and post-tests was interpreted as p-value0.047 < alpha 0.05, meaning accepted the Ha hypothesis. It meant that there was theeffect of using Project-based Learning (PjBL) through storytelling on the students’speaking skills of the eleventh-grade students in SMAN 4 Palangka Raya in theAcademic Year 2023/2024. Therefore, it was concluded that with Project Learning(PjBL), the eleventh-grade students at SMAN 4 Palangka Raya in the Academic Year2023/2024 carried out a series of activities to explore how to tell stories, whichincluded pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, fluency in telling stories andunderstanding the meaning of stories from narrative text. The harmony of thislearning strategy had a positive effect on the speaking ability of the eleventh-gradestudents in SMAN 4 Palangka Raya in the Academic Year 2023/2024

    AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ DIFFICULTIES IN WRITING RECOUNT TEXT FOR FOURTH SEMESTER STUDENTS AT ENGLISH EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM

    Writing is one of important skill that must be mastered in learning English.Fourth-semester students of the English education study program were required todemonstrate proficiency in writing a range of text types, including recount texts, aspart of the Advanced English Writing course. This study aims to examined thedifficulties faced by fourth-semester students in the English Education StudyProgram at Palangka Raya University when writing recount texts. The research wascarried out from June 26, 2024 to July 26, 2024. A questionnaire was disseminatedusing WhatsApp to collect data from 65 students, who accounted for 52% of thetotal population. The findings indicate that students encounter challenges in variouscrucial domains, such as creating relevant ideas, structuring text, employing past-tense verbs accurately, and utilizing acceptable terminology, punctuation, and capitalization. The study highlights that 9.2% (6 students) struggle with generating relevantideas, 26.2% (17 students) struggle to express their ideas with clarity and logicalcoherence, 20% (13 students) struggle with composing a recount text thateffectively establishes individuals, location, and timing, 46.2% (30 students)struggle with the task of crafting a recount text that includes a fitting and noteworthyending, 58.5% (38 students) exhibit inaccuracies in past-tense verb usage, 38.5%(25 students) has difficulties in effectively utilizing adverbs of location and timeexpressions to connect events, 33.8% (22 students) lack proficiency in using actionverbs with a high level of accuracy, Additionally, 52.3% (34 students) lack anextensive vocabulary, 32.3% (21 students) exhibit a deficiency in their capacity toselect appropriate words with effectiveness, 49.2% (32 students) demonstrate poorspelling accuracy, 12.3% (8 students) exhibit incorrect capitalization, and 12.3% (8students) demonstrate inaccurate usage of punctuation. These problems highlightthe necessity for focused teaching strategies to target and rectify specificshortcomings in students' writing abilities. The study closes by suggesting thatteachers should utilize captivating teaching techniques and that students shouldactively participate in the process of learning and practicing English. Futureresearch should be conducted to go deeper into the challenges associated withauthoring recount texts in order to gain a more full grasp of the subject
