The Implementation of Zero Waste Concepts in Operational Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali
Waste generation in Bali has increased, it is because the waste generated is not managed properly. The impacts of this phenomenon affected climate change, such as loss of biodiversity, climate, growth of water and soil, pollution, deforestation, and waste of re-sources and materials from productive uses. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the zero waste concepts in Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method, conducted based on four scopes of application of the zero waste concepts; management, economic, organizational, and regulatory policy. Researchers use participatory observation, interviews, and documentation for the same data source simultaneously. This research uses the triangulation method which also tests the credibility of the data. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of zero waste concepts has reached 78 percent in accordance with company guidelines owned by Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali. The improvement of storage & separations indicators, recycle & disposal indicator, and human resources indicators on maintaining the provision of training program to the staffs are needed to carried out the waste management inside the resort. Action plans are needed to increase the percentage of zero waste concept implementation in operational at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali which can be improved on compliance & monitoring indicators
Model of Tourist Destination in Cibuntu Village, West Java
A6 model consist the attributes of tourist destination that are attraction, accessibility, amenities, available package, activities, and ancillary service. They both have an influence on increasing tourist satisfaction. Health protocol is also the perception to enhance tourist satisfaction in new normal. Consequently, health protocol plays an important role in boosting the tourist satisfaction in Cibuntu Village, West Java. This study analyses the relationships proposed in SERVQUAL, which consist five core components of service quality: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy. The sample in this study was 200 respondents from the tourists who experienced at least one time of visiting Cibuntu Village. This study using questionnaires in the kind of Google form, consists of 23 items.Five hypotheses were formulated and tested. The finding of this study found from all respondents is also going down more than four time experiences. Then offer a promotion for the young generation or under 25 year old market segment. In the new normal, the application of health protocols determines tourist satisfaction in Cibuntu Village, West Java. The process of building, designing, and defining a sustainable tourism village, we must collaborate with the central government and local government in the new normal situation. Cibuntu Village should collect the data from the tourist visiting Cibuntu village and save it as guest history to offer a suitable promotion in new normal
Green Human Resources Management in Supporting Environmental Performance at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali
As a hotel that carries the concept of sustainability, it is very important to Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali to understand how green human resources management affects employees' environmentally friendly behavior, which in turn affects the company's environmental performance. Until now, the implementation of green human resources management has not been fully implemented at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali, because there are still several things that hinder it. This research aims to analyze the implementation of green human resources management and to find out how green human resources management can support the environmental performance at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali. This research uses a qualitative approach with data analysis techniques Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The implementation of Green Human Resources Management at Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali has been running at 75% so far. In addition, practices that have not been implemented are currently in the planning stage to be implemented in the future. Although it is not perfect, there is already a process in implementing green human resources management which is always reviewed and improved
Implementation of Sustainable Tourism Principles in Sport Tourism: Sustainability Efforts by Pocari Run Organizers
Sustainable tourism has become part of the general desire of Indonesia’s tourism development. The industry continuously seek ways or avenues where sustainable tourism practices can be adopted in hopes to achieve the desired outcomes of sustainable tourism. One of the ways of looking for new avenues that can adopt sustainable practices is to look at the emerging sectors of tourism. An interesting lane of tourism that can do this is sports tourism. Sports tourism relationship with sustainable tourism has been studied prior with promising potential. This study explores the sustainability efforts around marathon events by the organizers added with the participants point of view. For the research, this study will take the case study format focusing on Pocari Run. It puts forward the question whether event organizers are willing to implement sustainable tourism practices in their events and are aware sustainable tourism practices can be used as a tool for marathon events success and how it is impacting the participants. The methodology used in this research is a qualitative method, extracting insights from informants through in-depth interview directed towards Pocari Run Organizers. This study has found that the implementation of sustainable tourism practices have been implemented in Pocari Run events in accordance to previous studies. The implementation itself proved to be valuable in helping organizers develop a positive relationship with local stakeholders such as the local community and local government
A Tourism Village Planning Strategy Using the SOAR Model in Penglatan Village, Buleleng Regency, Bali
Penglatan Village is one of the villages in Buleleng district which is famous for its typical food, namely dodol and the art of sound art, namely Renganis. Penglatan Village has tourism potential that has not been optimally packaged and marketed. Therefore, this study aims to explore the feasibility of Penglatan village to be developed and to analyze the tourism potential it has as a tourism village to build sustainable tourism in Buleleng Regency. This study uses a qualitative research approach. Data collection methods used were interviews, observation, documentation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The tourism potential includes, among others, middle culture of furniture, the "samyag dresti" temple, tourism of the Yellow Temple, multi-purpose halls, carving works, Kencana Mas hill temple, dodol and belayag culinary tours, Jelema wood trees, songket crafts, and pathways tracking/cycling. The existence of some of these tourism potentials has received a good response from tourists such as dodol and belayag culinary tours, but there is still a lot of potential that has not been explored and packaged properly, such as the Kuning Temple water tour. The development planning strategy using SOAR analysis in Penglatan village which is applied to 11 tourism potentials by analyzing the points of strength, opportunity, aspiration and result for each tourism potential to support the village Penglatan as a tourist village
Tourism Management through Sapta Pesona Concept to Increase Tourist Attraction in Timpag Village, Tabanan Regency
The tourism potential of the Timpag village has not been managed properly so that it has not produced maximum results in the tourism sector. This study aims to see the tourism management of Timpag Village through the concept of Sapta Pesona. This study uses a qualitative approach with data analysis techniques are descriptive analysis. Data collection techniques are by previous research studies and observations. The results showed that Timpag Village has a lot of tourism potential that can be developed, namely Undagi Village Farmer, there are purification sites (pelukatan), breeding huts, Celemanik View, Pondok Uma urip, Telaga Tunjung Dam, Titi Empag River Tubing, Cycling, and artificial tourism weeding culture in Bali typical of Timpag Village. The community's efforts in carrying out sapta pesona in Timpag Village have been in the category very well. The elements of Sapta Pesona are safe, orderly, clean, cool, beautiful, friendly, and memorable. This can be created by the community itself by always keeping their village safe from crime and violence and of course supported by the local Babinsa. However, there is no information on the Timpag Village Map that has not been installed, some areas such as parking lots have not been paved, and there are still local people who have motorbikes using noisy exhaust which results in a little noise in the area
Implementation of Green Product in Purchasing to Increase Environmental Awareness at Aston Canggu Beach Resort
The purchasing department is often said to be the buying center at the hotel company concerned. The purchasing department has a duty to ensure that the goods used for hotel operations do not damage the surrounding environment, currently environmental issues are important in economic development. The purpose of this study is to analyses the implementation of green products in purchasing at Aston Canggu Beach Resort and to analyse the relationship between the implementation of green products in an effort to increase environmental awareness at Aston Canggu Beach Resort. Methods of collecting data were observation, focus group discussions, questionnaires, documentation, and literature study. The data analysis method used is qualitative and quantitative methods, qualitative methods include several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, while quantitative research uses descriptive statistics. Indicators green product, including products that do not contain harmful elements when consumed, are made from environmentally friendly raw materials that provide recycling functionality, and products with production process technology used are environmentally friendly. While 1 indicator that has not been implemented is having efficiency in energy use, with the application of green products at Aston Canggu Beach Resort. It can increase environmental awareness as evidenced by the decrease in waste costs incurred by Aston Canggu Beach Resort
Antecedents of Revisit Intention to Pantjoran PIK During Covid-19 Pandemic
Revisit intention is a very important factor in the sustainability of a business. This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the revisit intention to Pantjoran PIK, North Jakarta. The exogenous variables in this study were environment, culture, and food safety & hygiene. This research is explanatory research that seeks to explain the relationship between exogenous and endogenous variables. The research instrument used was online questionnaire distributed via Google Form. The research method used is quantitative analysis with individual analysis units and the PLS-SEM approach using SMARTPLS 4 software. Sampling technique used was purposive sampling with 160 samples. The measurement model analysis meets the requirements of convergent validity, reliability and discriminant validity. However, in the structural model analysis, only Food Safety & Hygiene had significant influence on Revisit Intention. These findings are in line with similar research during the Covid-19 pandemic although different sampling technique are suggested with longitudinal data to improve accuracy. Food Court and restaurant owners are suggested to maintain the food safety and hygiene to improve revisit intention during Covid-19 pandemic
Visitors' Subjective Well Being: The Effect of the Motivational Sharing Travel Photos Through Instagram
Social media is a place where users can exchange information with fellow users, one of the information obtained is about tourism. In today's digital era, social media such as Instagram has become a popular platform for users to share their travel moments. By using social media one can find out a lot of information and reviews from visitors who have experience in tourism travel, so that they have considerations and decisions in visiting tourism places. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of motivation to share photos on Instagram on visitors' experiences of subjective well-being in the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City. The study used a quantitative with a causal associative approach. The data was obtained by distributing questionnaires online through Instagram users who have shared photos of their experiences visiting the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City. So that as many as 184 people were obtained, with a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling. The results found that recognition and status, enjoyment, and disclosure influenced visitors' experiences of subjective well-being in the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City. Meanwhile, tourism information did not affect visitors' experiences of subjective well-being in the tourism object of Air Manis Beach, Padang City. This study concluded that when people share motivational and inspiring travel photos via Instagram, they can feel an increase in subjective well-being
Brand Equity, Cultural Transformation and Changes in Shopping Behavior of Working Women in Bali
Brand equity is an important topic of discussion among working women as a form of self-existence. The purpose of this study was to analyze brand equity and cultural transformation influencing changes in shopping behavior of working women in Bali. A survey was conducted of 150 female workers in Bali regarding the context of understanding brand equity and their involvement in various cultural and religious activities in Bali. The findings of this study are: brand equity affects the consumptive behavior of working women in Bali. Cultural transformation in Bali influences the consumptive behavior of working women in Bali in complex ways. Brand perception as the only factor to be considered in shopping, or in cultural and religious activities in Bali; tends to give rise to new patterns of hedonistic behavior, which are not only among the class, but also among ordinary people. Overall, this study shows that brand equity and cultural transformation can influence the consumptive behavior of working women in Bali. This study can also be a reference for related parties to increase brand equity and cultural transformation influencing changes in shopping behavior of working women in Bali
