    THE SECREET GARDEN VILLAGE IS APPLYING “TRI HITA KARANA COCEPT” TO MAINTAIN SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

    In accordance with future tourism, there will be a movement from mass tourism to quality tourism. As a sequence, all sectors which take part in tourism development should develop quality tourism. (Suja, Ketut. 2015:1). A quality tourism means a tourism sector which is applying Tri Hita Karana (THK). THK is as a weapon to maintain sustainable tourism. By applying the THK the world Bali could be saved from destroy, to save nature, the ecology of Bali, economy and social benefit. (Ardika, I Gede. 2015,X1). This research is aimed to know the activities of The Secret Garden Village, if he applies the THK concept to maintain sustainable tourism ?. Data of this research was collected by using direct observation, depth interview and documentation. The data is obtained from informants who know well about the object of research such as : Mr. Billy Hartono Salim, the owner of Secret Garden Village, Mr. Putu Gede Arista DityaPradana, the operation Manager of Black Eye Coffee, Mr. Andra Martin, the Architech of building design. After that, the data was analyzed descriptively. The result of the research showed that the activities of all staff of Secret Garden Village was applying “Tri Hita Karana” (THK) concept to maintain sustainable tourism.

    Education tourism is a program where tourists visit a tourism destination with the main purpose to receive experience in education directly in the tourism object. In those places visitors could do tourism activities and also studying with fun methods. Kandank Jurank Doank is a tourism object that is located in Ciputat – South Tangerang. This tourism object which applies the concept of Education Tourism has become a choice for people of Jakarta city and around for recreation because of its location which is not far from the center of Jakarta city. This research is a descriptive with the support of qualitative data. The technique of data collecting is done through observation, questionnaire interviews, and documentation study. The informants in this research are the management parties of the tourism object Kandank Jurank Doank, in order to gain data which is actual with internal and external condition in Kandank Jurank Doank. Factor Analysis Internal and External is set by the management party of Kandank Jurank Doank through questionnaire technique, and then continued by relative weight calculation of Internal and External Factors with weighing questionnaire for Internal and External Factors. After finding the relative weight of Internal and External Factors, continuing with EFE Matrix and IFE Matrix to determine the total score of EFE and IFE which later will be used to scale the I-E Matrix, and then continued with the SWOT Matrix to determine the strategies of development for the tourism object of Kandank Jurank Doank. And the strategy that is received from the SWOT Matrix is to develop the potencies that are possessed by the company and to keep the existing tourism concept, and also to optimize the management information system in the activities of education tourism in Kandank Jurank Doank, improving service and the quality of Human Resource, in the aspect of comfort and security in order to increase the satisfaction of the consumers, designing education tourism activites that utilize the existing space and facilities, improving the cooperation with government, local people, and also the tourists themselves, and to utilize the use of internet to maximise the promotion program and the information of the tourism object of Kandank Jurank Doank, and also to form cooperations with investors in order to help the development of Kandank Jurank Doank

    The phenomenon in North Kuta is the tourist accomodations such as restaurants, villas, and housing residents, furthermore said with supplementary accomodations, are increasingly growing in number. This issue of tourism development and land-use change brought some impacts, especially in the environmental, social and economical issue. This research will discuss about the CSR concept in order to balance the effect of the land -use change especially in social and economic issues. The aim of this research is to discover the phenomenon of land use change in North Kuta regency and the application of CSR in developing and supporting local community. We use observation, questionnaires, and interview to data collection instruments or research instruments. Based on our research, we found that, the supplementary accommodations and restaurants in North Kuta regency are applied the CSR’s programs, still they do not provide structured CSR programs as the hotels provide.

    Bali Governor stated that “Bali Clean” and “Green” All of us who live in Bali Should support that statement. So does the “SECRET GARDEN VILLAGE” in Luwus village. This business goes green. Let’s say green tourism. The Secret Garden Village is the first tourism education in Bali. The soft opening has been done last week on 1st May. This research is aimed to know the activities of the Secret Garden Village to apply green tourism, to know what kind of services does he offers to maintain sustainable tourism in Luwus Village in Tabanan Regency. Data of this research are obtained from informants who know well the object of this research such as Mr. Billy Hartono Salim, the owner of Secret Garden Village, Mr. Putugede Arista DityaPradana, The Operational Manager of Black Eye Coffee, Mr. Andra Martin, the Architech of building design. Further, data was analysed descriptively. The result of this research showed that the activities of Secret Garden Village in Luwus Village were Truly “Green Tourism”. The service there is so fantastic one. The building are unique made of wood, steel, and concrete (beton). The visitor are offering sightseeing in museum, to see traditional beauty tools which are belonged to our ancestors, after that, visiting the factory outlet.The Black Eye Coffee also displays the specific animal Luwak, which produces “Luwak Coffee” as a sample only. The visitor can enjoy the rice field view while enjoy western food (barbeque specialist food). Most of workers there are from local people to increase their economic value. Those activities could attract and satisfying the visitors because they could get a new and memorable experiences. In other words that the present of Secret Garden Village could expand job available for local people and prosperous happiness

    The funeral industry has grown rapidly over the years.  It is very evident that in the Philippines, many funeral parlors are sprouting all over the country as well funeral insurance policy companies.  The funeral industry has taken more major roles in the burial rituals, funeral arrangements, body disposition procedures, last rites, and after care services to attend to the special needs. One of the richest customs in celebrating a funeral event was the Chinese society.  Chinese was well known for their custom of following a lot of superstitions.  Filipinos also believed in superstitions like the Chinese, but their way of celebrating the funeral rites was different.  These customs make managing a funeral event difficult. That is why seeking professional guidance and support is a good idea. The study looks into the comparative study of the availment of the funeral planning management service among Chinese and Filipino to observe the difference and similarities on the level of awareness, interest, the desire and actions of the two different cultures regarding the funeral planning management service. The researcher’s purpose was to make a basis for developing an event strategy that would facilitate the acceptability of the funeral planning management service in the Philippines.

    In Asean Economy Community (AEC) era, the competition in restaurant business is tighter and tighter, in domestic market or in international market (global market) . How to winning the competition?. The Bendega Restaurant  must be able to offer an extremely good service to his guests, for example to offer outstanding service to all guests of Bendega restaurant, the price of food are so reasonable, quick service at all the times, much better service than the other competitors.Bad service, expensive food price, slow service, will make guest disappointed / dissatisfaction, although in a different degree.This research is aimed to know the activities of Bendega restaurant while measuring guest satisfaction at Bendega Restaurant at Renon Village in Denpasar in Asean Economy Community (AEC) era.Data of this research was collected by using direct observation, depth interview and documentation.The data are obtained from informants who know the object of research such as Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, F&B Supervisor, Restaurant Captains and many waiters and waitress as the front liner of giving services in Bendega Restaurant.After that, the data was analyzed descriptively. One hundred questionairs were spreading out along one month on feb 2016. The result of the research showed that two third of guests were satisfied, a quarter of them were fair and the rest of them no respons with the services which were offered to the guests.According to the questionairs showed that the key of success by Bendega Restaurant was by offering fantastic services to their guests

    THE PERCEPTION OF LOCAL COMMUNITY TOWARD TOURIST ACCOMMODATION DEVELOPMENT, CASE STUDY: VILLAGE OF SEMINYAK, BALI

    The growth of tourism accommodation (villa) in the district of Kuta Utara, which is so rapid and uncontrolled, tends to have raised some concerns on the impact that may arise (socio-cultural, environmental and economic). The gap between benefit and cost of the phenomenon raises the question of how perception, response, changes the behavior of the culture and mindset of the local community towards the development of their area travel accommodation. To examine the case, this study combines the two forms of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies (multi-method). The qualitative methods done by observing a research site to see the behavior of local people in the village of Seminyak and informal talks (interview) that is guided by an interview guidelines related to the perception of the local community, the village headman, and the managers of accommodation (villa). While quantitative methods conducted by distributing questionnaires to local communities (90 respondents) were selected randomly. The result of this study is the public response to the development of the accommodation is in the phase of “Euphoria”. It is seen from some of the symptoms, which generally public responses tend to more focus on the advantage of the economic aspects and as if the exclusion of other effects that arise as the socio-cultural and environmental
