TOURIST’S PROFILE AND PERCEPTION TOWARDS ECOTOURISM PRODUCT IN AMBENGAN VILLAGE, SINGARAJA, BALI
The development of the tourism industry in the south of Bali tend to be uncontrolled and opened an opportunity for other development of alternative tourism destination in other regions of Bali such as Singaraja. One of destination with natural and cultural tourism attraction is Ambengan Village. In the increase of tourist demand, the community needs to do some innovations and development of tourism product. Furthermore, it requires to prioritize the existing market segmentation and reaching the other one. It necessary due to the existing product has some weaknesses compared to tourism product attributes. The objective of this research is to discover the tourist’s profile and their perception of ecotourism product in Ambengan Village with qualitative and quantitative method. To obtain the data, the research instruments used were questionnaire to 100 mixes of domestic and international tourist, interview guidelines to government, village chief, local community, and checklist observation. Majority of the tourist were satisfied with natural attraction been offered, informative local people, and safety atmosphere surrounding area. The local community has been aware of tourism potential in their village. They are in the state of euphoria level. However it wasn't completed with other supported attributes such as accommodation; restaurant; accessibility; route direction; moneychanger and souvenir shop. Government needs to allocate more budgets in supervising the community to develop tourism potential. The data obtained also assists them practically to create marketing strategy and guidance of ecotourism product in Ambengan Village
POTENTIALS OF PALUNGAN SALT FARMING IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF CULTURAL TOURISM AND COMMUNITY-BASED EDUCATION IN THE VILLAGE OF TEJAKULA
Palungan salt farming is one of commodity that is still dominated by coastal communities in Tejakula Village. However, since 2010 the number of palungan salt farmers has degraded from 200 farmers to 21 farmers. This resulted in the production of salt manger decreased. On the other hand, salt is one of the foodstuffs needed by various parties for both consumption and industrial needs. Although the Government has issued a policy to empower traditional salt farming through PUGAR, but until now the implementation has not been maximized. The aims of this research is to identify the potential of internal and external physical environments in Tejakula Village to consideration in the effort to conserve local wisdom in synergy with sustainable tourism development. Using the descriptive qualitative research method, Tejakula Village has internal and external potential that is useful to be developed towards the development of living museum as cultural and educational tourism in order to conserve local wisdom and improve the economic level of the community in Tejakula Village.
THE INFLUENCE OF DESTINATION IMAGES ON REVISIT INTENTION IN MOUNT BATUR
Tourism has become one of idol business in Indonesia, which can be seen by the graph of performance continues to rise up compared to oil, gas, coal, and palm oil which continue to decline. Each destination tries to serve tourists better using many kinds of strategies, one of them is the destination image. This research aims to analyze the influence of destination image on the revisit intention in Mount Batur, Bali. The study is explanatory and done using quantitative and descriptive approaches. The number of samples to be used is 100 samples. The method of data collection is done by questionnaire collection method to analyze the influence of the destination image variable on the variable of revisit intention obtained by descriptive explanation. Based on the results of the research conducted, it shows that the image of the destination has a significant effect on the interest in returning to tourists in Mount Batur, which means that the hypothesis proposed in the study was accepted. This can be seen in the results of the hypothesis test the value of t arithmetic obtained is equal to 7.242 with a significance value of 0.000 smaller than 0.05. Based on the correlation test, the relationship between the two variables is at a moderate level with a percentage of influence of 34.9%. So that from this it is expected that tourists area managers of Mount Batur must try to maintain security, comfort and the environment
DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY OF JOGGING TRACK AS TOURIST ATTRACTION IN ANGGABAYA VILLAGE, PENATIH DENPASAR
Development of tourism destination should be supported by the potential of tourism activities; one of them is sports tourism. Sports tourism is a tourism activity by doing sports activities as a fundamental and significant part of a vacation. Sanur Tourism Destination, known by many tourists as a place where they can perform sports activities as a mode of movement, has tourism potential that supports the development of sports tourism. That potential is also supported by the planning and activities of stakeholders in order to develop this tourism for society and tourists in realizing sustainable tourism (green tourism). The purposes of this research were: 1) to discover the potential that makes Sanur Tourism Destination has the opportunity to develop cycling tourism. 2) to find out the benefits of cycling tourism towards Sanur Tourism Destination. The research methodology used was descriptive research methodology. It aimed to obtain a complete profile or description of relevant aspects of an interesting phenomenon, which occurs in an individual, organization, industry, or other things. Techniques for collecting the data were direct observation, in-depth interview and documentation/literature studies.The results showed that: 1) the potential that makes Sanur Tourism Destination has the opportunity to develop cycling tourism. 2) the benefits of cycling tourism towards Sanur Tourism Destination. The recommendation of this research is expected to provide input to Stakeholder and Government in analyzing the potential of Sanur Tourism Destination in developing sports tourism as a friendly destination both in its activities and way of traveling, therefore, it is useful for the welfare of society. The results of this research could also help local people and government in reviewing the strategy of sports tourism planning in Sanur Tourism Destination in realizing sustainable tourism planning.
The Effect of E-WOM on Social Media Instagram Toward The Decision To Visit Labuan Bajo
E-WOM is a social media marketing especially on Instagram, which is used to promote a tourist attraction or a product. The purpose of this study was to find out the Effect of E-WOM in Social Media Instagram on the Decision to Visit Labuan Bajo. This research was a descriptive study with a quantitative approach using questionnaire tools for data collection techniques using sample of 100 respondents by taking purposive sampling technique. Respondents used in this research were visitors who had visited Labuan Bajo. This research used 2 variables: Electronic Word of Mouth variable with 5 e-WOM dimensions which were Platform Assistance, Concern for others, Expressing Positive Feeling, Economic Incentive and Helping the Company.Variable Visiting decisions were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The result of percentage of E-WOM in Social Media Instagram on the Decision to Visit Labuan Bajo was 20,6% with two dimensions which had a very strong relationship toward decision to visit, which were dimension Expressing Positive Feeling and Economic Incentive
Rain Park Designation as an Environmental Educational Tourism in aims of River Arrangement of Badung River, in Denpasar City
This research was in purpose of conserving river environment in developing sustainable tourism by empowering local community to control balance or harmony in life depends on local genius. Heterogeneous tourism potentials owned by Badung river’s area to be enhanced as new attraction, within eco tourism concept. This research designated by using descriptive research, since authors explored data and information regarding topics to get in-depth data for further research. In this research, authors wanted to identify designation of rain park in order to arrange Badung river as an environmental educational tourism region. Data were collected through observations, documentation, and interview with qualitative descriptive as analysis technic. The result of the research showed the development of alternative tourist attraction, namely Rain Park in Badung’s River. This tourist attraction is a part of community-based tourism that utilize element of rain and water as an attraction. Moreover, this attraction will be a viable and possible option to answer any water pollution issue among Badung river area
THE IMPLEMENTATION OF WRITING STRATEGY FOR IMPROVING STUDENTS’ WRITING SKILL AT THE FOURTH SEMESTER STUDENTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL BALI TOURISM INSTITUTE, DENPASAR – BALI IN ACADEMIC YEAR 2017/2018
This study was aimed at knowing whether the final product of composition which is given detailed feedback (error correction) performs better than of that given global feedback. The accessible population of the study was the fourth semester students of D3 tourism of The International Bali Tourism Institute, academic year 2017/2018. The study used quasi-experimental, nonrandomized control group, pretest-posttest design. This was so because the experiment was conducted in classroom setting in which the classes had been organized into classes A and B. The result of the study revealed that there was no significant difference of the two groups – experimental and control group. The result showed that the two groups had the same ability in writing paragraph. From the result concluded that the final product of composition written by students which is given detailed feedback (error correction) perform the same as of those given global feedback.
The Influence Of Brand Awareness And E-Service Quality On Consumer Purchasing Decisions In Booking Hotel Rooms On Traveloka
This study was to determine the effect of brand awareness and e-service quality on consumer purchasing decisions in booking hotel rooms in traveloka. The subject of this study amounted to 100 random people who had booked a hotel room through the Traveloka website. The results of the questionnaire were analyzed using multiple linear regression to see the effect between variable brand awareness, e-service quality and purchasing decisions. The results of this study indicate that brand awareness and e-service quality have a significant effect of 67.1% on the variables of consumer purchasing decisions in hotel room bookings, on the traveloka website. The implication of this research is to see the contribution of the variables studied to be used as consumer decisions in making purchases on room sales services on the website, so marketing is important to know
TOURIST DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES AND THE IMPACT ON TOURIST VISITS CASE STUDY: PURA GUNUNG KAWI IN SEBATU VILLAGE, GIANYAR, BALI
Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu is a tourist destination in Bali. The temple is located in Sebatu Village, Tegallalang, Gianyar Regency. However, unlike most tourist destinations in general, Gunung Kawi Temple is infrequently visited by both foreign and domestic tourists, especially when compared with similar destinations, such as Pura Tirta Empul Tampaksiring. The purpose of this study is to determine the development strategy of “Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu” and the impact of tourist visits on the welfare of community in Sebatu Village. This study used qualitative descriptive approach which aims to describe, record, analyze, and interpret current conditions of Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu. The results from this study is the development strategies of Pura Gunung Kawi relies on some factors such as: the stability of various levels, such as security, comfort, support facilities and infrastructure; the quality and quantity of human resources; partnerships with funding agencies; the linkage function development of tourism activities; increased community participation in tourism development; and programs implementation for effective promotion on an ongoing basis. These stabilities help increase the number of tourist visits, which leads to community’s welfare in the area surrounding Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu
A Content Analysis of Media Information Exposure on Tourism Destination Image
This study examines the issue of the formation of destination image through the analysis of the specific tourism discourse. It is the linguistic variety of English used in tourism which was written by tourists on websites imaging the destination of the Campuhan Ridge. The study focuses on the way tourism discourse contributes to convey an image of a destination using the approach of media exposure theory. Referring to previous scientific studies, tourism destination image have been shaped through the mediation between tourists’ mental constructs and web-based tourism discourse. Using a theory of information media exposure and an approach of linguistic study, samples of texts from websites were examined and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. Results show that linguistic features seen from lexical and phrasal choices were used together with functional attributes, psychological attributes, Psychological-holistic impressions, and Common-Unique dimension when tourists describing about tourism destination image
