EFFECT OF HONEY AND STEVIA AS SUGAR SUBSTITUTE ON SENSORY EVALUATION OF CHIFFON CAKE
This research contributes to sugar substitution as a sweetener. Honey and stevia are natural sugar substitutes in various food products. The purpose of this research is to recognize the difference in appearance, flavour and texture of chiffon cake using sugar, honey and stevia. The research used an experimental method. This research used descriptive analysis technique of observation and interviews with reference to a comparison that is sensory evaluation of chiffon cake characteristic, which include appearance, flavour and texture. The results show that panelists prefer chiffon cake using sugar as a sweetener in terms of appearance and texture. However, chiffon cake using honey as a sugar substitute is preferable to panelists in terms of flavour and overall aspects
THE VALUES OF BATANG HARING AS LOCAL WISDOM IN BUILD ING THE SUSTAINABLE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE OF TOURISM DESTINATION IN CENTRAL KALIMANTAN
As a regional tourism destination in Indonesia, Central Kalimantan has cultural richness from its sub-ethnics of Dayak (indigenous people in Kalimantan) that can be used to develop its tourism products. Therefore, through an ethnographic approach using triangulation data collection techniques, this study explored, illustrated and comprehended in-depth the culture of Central Kalimantan specifically local wisdom values. Batang Haring as a local wisdom of Dayak in Kalimantan, particularly Central Kalimantan, has culture value that is the balanced and harmonious relationship among three-dimensional: human, God, and nature implemented through rites of Kaharingan (traditional belief of Dayak). The uniqueness in implementing the values become a "spirit" that is able to “awaken” and more "revive" Central Kalimantan, specifically in tourism sector. The strongly formed "spirit" will be a basic strength of differentiation strategy to create different, unique and unimitate products as a factor of competitive advantage in its tourism products. Utilization of these values can be done through cultural practices, Dayak-Kaharingan rite activities, and the use of cultural symbols in its development. However, it needs to be applied consistently in everyday life and supported through the hospitality of its people who live spiritually and continue to uphold their culture and arts that will form a strong "spirit" and hard to find elsewhere. THE EFFECTS OF SERVICE QUALITY, CUSTOMER PERCEIVED VALUE, AND CUSTOMER SATISFACTION TOWARDS CUSTOMER LOYALTY OF DAMRI TOUR BUS
Based on the data from Transportation Department of Indonesia, commonly total of tourist bus company and total unit of tour bus continues to increase every year. The increasing number of competitors will affect customers looking away easily from one service provider to another. Then, DAMRI as one of the providers, has to make efforts for maintaining and increasing customer’s loyalty. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of service quality, customer perceived value, and customer satisfaction towards customer loyalty of DAMRI Tourist Bus.This research is a quantitative research. Sampling technique is non Probability Sampling, purposive sampling. Data collection is done through interview and questionnaires. Statistical analysis techniques is done through regression analysis and hypothesis testing t test and F test (SPSS 20.0). The results being obtained: service quality (X1) and customer perceived value (X2) significantly influence customer loyalty (Y). In other hand, customer satisfaction (X3) does not significantly influence customer loyalty (Y); But X1, X2, and X3 simultanously influence Y. The manager is advised to continously make efforts in order to improve customer loyalty. Further research is needed to identify the factors that have more influence over customer loyalty of DAMRI Tourist Bus
ECOTOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN SUNGAI JANIAH, AGAM: THE PARADIGMS FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
Ecotourism pays attention to conserved ecosystems with the aim of improving the welfare of local communities. Ecotourism development might have a positive impact on the natural, economic, social and cultural environment. Sungai Janiah is one of the tourist destinations in Agam Regency which has its own attraction that has the potential to become ecotourism. To support this, full support from the local community as a tourism agent is needed later. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze local community surveys about ecotourism in the Sungai Janiah. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study with survey methods. The research sample of 77 respondents were taken by purposive sampling technique by distributing questionnaires to families who settled in the Sungai Janiah. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis using score classification. The results showed 86% of the public strongly agreed that the Sungai Janiah would become ecotourism. Furthermore, in terms of environmental dimension, 89.61% of the respondents stated strongly agree, the Economic dimension 98.70% of the respondents strongly agreed, the cultural dimension 96.10% of the respondents strongly agreed, and the Social dimension 72.73% the respondents strongly agreed. From the results of the community survey, it is generally apparent that the community strongly agrees that the concept of ecotourism is suitable to be developed in the Sungai Janiah
DECISION MAKING TO VISIT KOPI LUWAK AGROTOURISM (Case Study of Kopi Luwak Cikole in Cikole Village, Babakan Village, Lembang District)
The agricultural sector in tourism is often called agrotourism. Kopi Luwak (Civet Coffee) Cikole, located in Kampung Babakan, produces Luwak coffee that applies animal welfare, so that agrotourism is awarded as Animal Wellfare-based agro-tourism. Kopi Luwak Cikole offers educational tours for its visitors. Visitorsto agrotourism are thought to have a specific purpose. Various people who visit Agro Tourism are seen from the characteristics of visitors and visiting decision making. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and consumer decision-making processes of Kopi Luwak Cikole. Data analysis was carried out with descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of Kopi Luwak Cikole respondents are mostly resident of Malaysia, male, 36-45 years old, their last education is Bachelor, have occupation as a Private or Government Employee with monthly income ≥ Rp. 5,000,001. The visiting decision at the need recognition stage is the motivation to visit agro tourism. This is because attractive facilities with benefits sought during a visit are adding to the knowledge of cultivation and process of civet coffee. Evaluation phase, consideration for visiting is because of civet coffee education. Furthermore, the decision to visit is carried out in a planned manner which on average is carried out during holidays. The level of satisfaction after post-visit, shows visitors feel satisfied with the facilities in agrotourism
VISITOR SATISFACTION ATTENDING FESTIVAL IN BALI: CASE OF SANUR VILLAGE FESTIVAL 2018
Festivals or special events have been one of the fastest developing tourism attractions in many countries. Bali as tourism destination have many activities on tourism event such as festivals or special events to attract more tourists to come every year. Sanur Village Festival (SVF) declared by the government as one of the top ten national tourism event in Indonesia. SVF is an annual event since 2006. Its community event founded by Sanur Development Foundation (YPS) which is a combination of several large-scale activities involving food festival, creative economy exhibition, various contests and competitions, art and cultural attractions, music as well as various types of environmentally-friendly activities. Quality of activities and service on an event is dynamic conditions that relate to fullfill the visitors expectation. In tourism event, quality of activities and service becomes success parameter as indication of satisfaction. The aim of these research is to know the visitors satisfaction attending festival in Bali, case study of SVF 2018. Sample of the research is visitors of SVF 2018 during period 22-26 August 2018 with total 135 respondents. The method of this research is quantitative method with analysis factor confirmatory using SPSS. Using teory from Crompton (2003) there are six factors and twenty six variables that were observed. The factors and variables are convenience value (F1) through five variables, service value (F2) through six variabels, perceived price (F3) through four variables, aesthetic value (F4) through four variables, playful value (F5) through four variables and social value (F5) through three variables. Finding in this research about visitors satisfaction attending festival in Bali, case of SVF 2018 is in good condition according to the guest overall comments. The leading factor and variable are playfull value (F5) and X21 (enjoyable). The strategic implication that should be done by management of SVF or Sanur Development Foundation to the result of reserach is to maintain what has been good and improve which one is unfavourable by make evaluation and standarization of work for all vendors/ suppliers that supported the festival.Festivals or special events have been one of the fastest developing tourism attractions in many countries. THE INFLUENCE OF TOURISM INFORMATION EXPOSURE ON COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IN PANGLIPURAN TOURISM VILLAGE
Sustainable tourism development is becoming an international commitment to ensure the sustainability development for social welfare. Bali has experienced significant development growth in the past 20 years. The growth of the tourism development directly led to the development of the tourism village in Bali. This cannot be separated due to the community involvement. One of the tourism villages that experienced significant growth and development in Bali is Panglipuran tourism village. This research was designed with the aim of identifying and analyzing the influence of tourism information exposure on Community Involvement. Closed questionnaire technique was used to collect the data with measurement scale using Likert scale. There were 100 respondents used in this research. SmartPLS software was used to analyze the data. The results obtained from the Path Coefficients table show X à Y values of 22,985, which means that tourism information exposure has a positive and significant effect on community involvement in the development of Panglipuran Tourism Village
IMPACT OF PILGRIMAGE TOURISM TO THE SHEIKH QURO’S TOMB KARAWANG ON THE LOCAL COMMUNITY QUALITY OF LIFE
Pilgrimage tour of Syekh Quro is the religious tour in Karawang located in Pulobata, Pulokalapa village, Lemahabang Wadas district, Karawang regency, West Java Province. This reseach is aimed to identify the impact of the religious tour activity of Syekh Quro’s Tomb toward local society quality of life. The research method used in this research is descriptiv qualitative. The finding showed that the tourism impact toward local society quality of life clarify that pilgrimage tourism give positive impact on Pulobata communities. These positive impacts are seen on the aspects of material wellbeing, community wellbeing, emotional wellbeing, and health and safety wellbeing
Tourists Perception of “Mepantigan”, Balinese Traditional Martial Art as Alternative Tourism Attraction in Gianyar, Bali
The study examined the perception of tourists on “Mepantigan” as alternative tourism in Pondok Mepantigan in Gianyar Bali. The background of this research is the emergence of “Mepantigan” attraction that is developing. Obviously, “Mepantigan” is a unique and first tourist attraction in Gianyar Bali by elevating traditional martial arts and combined with the art of dance and music with the game set in the mud. The purpose of this study is to identify the perception of tourists to “Mepantigan” as alternative tourism in Pondok Mepantigan in Gianyar Bali. In essence research method using the qualitative and quantitative method. Data analysis techniques used descriptive-qualitative, where data obtained from observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire to tourism components such as attraction, accessibility, amenities, available packages, activities, and ancillary services. Sustainable tourism paradigm and can be applied to alternative tourism is tourism activity. The research results showed that Pondok Mepantigan is an attractive tourist attraction because it has a natural tourist attraction, culture and artificial but need to increase the availability of supporting facilities for tourists. In essence, Pondok Mepantigan has met the parameters as alternative tourism but need to improve in empowering communities around Pondok Mepantigan
ANALYSIS OF FEASIBILITY OF PARK KUMBASARI AS ATTRACTION FRIENDLY TOURISM TO TOURISTS
In the present era should be an attraction of tourism can be reached and friendly to all people of both senior tourist and junior tourists. Kumbasari Park is one of the tourist attractions in the city that has been styled and constructed by the Government of Denpasar to become a new tourist attraction. However, the Kumbasari Park has not been fully accessible to all tourists. The purpose of this research is to identify, analyze eligibility and find the perception of travellers to facilities and infrastructure of the Kumbasari Park as a tourist attraction. This research includes exploratory research with data collection techniques i.e. observation, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques are done in a qualitative and quantitative descriptive. From the results of the study can be concluded that, as a whole Taman kumbasari already worth visiting by all the tourists, there are some categories especially accessibility and amenities that are not yet fully friendly to tourists. The development and reordering of facilities and infrastructure should be done in Kumbasari Park to provide comfort and security to all travelers
