Starter Culture Modulates Microbial Diversity During Wine-Coffee Fermentation: A DGGE-Based Molecular Study
Wine-flavored coffee is a unique post-harvest product characterized by fruity, acidic, and winey notes, highly favored by Indonesian consumers and possessing strong potential in the global market. However, maintaining consistency in flavor and quality remains a challenge due to the variability of natural fermentation. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of yeast and bacterial starter culture inoculation on microbial community dynamics during wine-coffee fermentation, using a molecular approach based on PCR-DGGE. DGGE analysis revealed that natural fermentation without inoculation involved diverse populations of bacteria, yeasts, and filamentous fungi, with eukaryotic microbes dominating from the early stages. Sequencing identified prevalent yeast genera including Pichia, Torulaspora, Hanseniaspora, Saccharomyces, and Candida, as well as Aspergillus among filamentous fungi. Bacterial communities were dominated by lactic acid bacteria and members of Lactobacillus, Klebsiella, Enterobacter, Pantoea, and Bacillus. In contrast, controlled fermentation with inoculated starter cultures (Pichia kudriavsevii and Klebsiella sp.) showed a more stable microbial profile throughout the process. Shannon-Wiener diversity indices demonstrated a significant difference (p = 0.05) between natural and inoculated fermentations, with species dominance observed in the latter. Cluster analysis confirmed that starter culture inoculation significantly influenced microbial succession and community structure. These findings highlight the importance of controlled fermentation using selected microbial starters to ensure consistent microbial ecology, which in turn contributes to reproducible quality in wine-flavored coffee. The molecular profiling approach provides valuable insights for improving fermentation practices and developing reliable starter culture formulations tailored to enhance flavor consistency and product quality
Plants sold in traditional marketplace in West Java highland: an ethnobotanical analysis
Traditional markets are crucial for sustaining plant diversity, local food systems, and cultural heritage. They also function as learning spaces for the diversity and cultural connections of food plants. This study documents the diversity and utilization of plant species traded in a traditional marketplace in West Java’s highland, Indonesia. Data were collected through stall surveys, observations, and semi-structured interviews with 38 traders. A total of 96 species from 31 families were recorded. Fabaceae and Solanaceae were the most represented families (11 species each). Vegetables were the largest category of use (47%); fruits (53%) and leaves (25%) were the most frequently used parts. Most (83%) of the plants sold were exotic, with only 21% being native species. Eight edible wild plant species, including Centella asiatica and Solanum nigrum, remain an essential part of the traditional diet. Women dominate the vegetable trade (64.51%); most vendors reported having 5–20 years of experience. These findings highlight that traditional markets play a crucial role in preserving and serving as learning spaces for plant diversity, local food systems, and cultural heritage

The results showed that the experimental class's self-confidence obtained a mean questionnaire score of 90.27, which was higher than the control class's score of 74.69. The Mann Whitney U-Test results from the posttest obtained a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that there was a significant effect of the Nearpod-assisted Quantum Learning model on students' self-confidence
Legal Protection Framework for Digital Forensic Experts in The Society 5.0 Era
This study aims to propose a preventive and responsive legal protection framework for digital forensic experts to ensure legal certainty within the criminal justice system. Digital forensic experts play a strategic role in the evidentiary process of cybercrime cases, but often face legal risks arising from their courtroom testimonies. This research employs a normative juridical method, utilizing both statutory and conceptual approaches. The statutory approach examines relevant legal norms and international standards, while the conceptual approach interprets legal principles related to legal certainty, legal protection, and immunity rights for expert witnesses. The data are analyzed descriptively and analytically from a comparative perspective to identify pertinent international legal principles and to formulate a globally applicable framework for the legal protection of digital forensic experts. The novelty of this study lies in the formulation of a limited legal immunity model that integrates professional standards with the principle of due process of law. This study contributes by developing a new normative framework that strengthens the legal protection of digital forensic experts. The findings indicate that limited immunity rights are essential to safeguarding the independence and objectivity of digital forensic experts, provided their actions comply with internationally recognized procedures and ethical standards.

The Efficacy of the "Pojok Ceria" Interactive Bulletin Board in Enhancing Early Number Sense and Self-Directed Learning among First-Grade Students
This study aims to develop and examine the efficacy of the “Pojok Ceria” (Joyful Corner) interactive bulletin board in addressing the ongoing problems of low student engagement, weak development of early number sense, and limited self-directed learning in primary-level mathematics classes. This study employed a strong R&D framework that combines the development stages model proposed by Sukmadinata with principles of systematic instructional design from the ASSURE model. This study employed a qualitative approach that spanned over two months among the first-grade students of a public school in Indonesia. Through triangulation of observations in the classroom, analysis of student work, and video recordings, combined with Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) for more in-depth insight into a specific issue. This study indicated that the “Pojok Ceria”, designed with interactive activities, manipulatives, and interesting visuals, had a high intervention and practical value and was well accepted by the teachers in terms of usability. Additionally, the Interactive Bulletin Board has proven to be highly effective in promoting student involvement and fostering independent learning. At the same time, it is also effective in exploring number sense concepts among first-graders. These findings provide informative guideposts for effectively developing and implementing engaging learning environments that function well, especially in low-resource educational environments. Although the small sample size limits this study, it suggests a conclusive possibility of interactive media being produced locally. Hence, more longitudinal studies with larger and more diverse samples are needed to confirm and fully generalize the positive consequences
