Dance and movement therapy suppresses aggression, replaces destructive forms of behavior with socially adequate forms of expression and the development of alternative action strategies.
SIMULATION PROGRAMS IN DISTANCE LEARNING
In the era of the development of computer technology, methods were created that enable teaching, not only through direct contact with the student, but also through the computer network and the Internet. In order for this to be possible, programs allowing this type of activity had to be created. They are to model the operating conditions of electronic and measurement systems in virtual space as much as possible. Such programs must reflect the operation of such systems under operating conditions, taking into account disturbing signals. They should also be adapted to remote work via the Internet. In the era of epidemics, when the possibilities of teaching in the classical form are very limited or impossible, simulation programs working in a network environment may make sense. The results of modeling the operation of systems in virtual reality and the created measurement systems can be sent electronically. This allows their verification with the laboratory teacher and joint work on the project by a group of students during the laboratory classes.
FORMATION OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH COMPETENCIES OF LAW STUDENTS
The practical activity of a lawyer involves a comprehensive analysis of various legal situations, the search for optimal ways to resolve them, the use of analogies, generalization, development and substantiation of new legal positions (including based on doctrinal sources), that is, it contains elements of the researcher\u27s work. With this in mind, one of the important components in teaching legal students is the formation of their research competencies. The purpose of this study is to prepare proposals for improving approaches to the formation of scientific research competencies of students of legal specialties. During the research, formal legal, sociological and other methods of scientific knowledge were used. As a result of the study, proposals were substantiated for the formation of scientific research competencies of law students, based on the logic of scientific research in the field of law. These proposals imply consistent training of law students to work with facts of reality, scientific facts, scientific problems and scientific hypotheses, using appropriate methods of scientific knowledge.
DEVELOPMENT OF YOUTH VOLUNTEER PROGRAMS IN THE CONDITION OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN THE COMMUNITIES, NEIGHBORING TO THE AREA OF THE JOINT FORCED OPERATION IN THE EAST OF UKRAINE
Volunteering is popular among young people in Ukraine. This is especially important for the communities, neighboring the area of the Joint Forces Operation in the East of Ukraine. However, one of the current challenges for the volunteer program development has been quarantine restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The main goal of the article is to analyze the participation of young people in volunteer programs during the quarantine restrictions related to COVID-19, in the communities neighboring the area of the Joint Forces Operation in the East of Ukraine. The authors of the study used the "rapid appraisal" technique. Thus, in May 2020, the authors interviewed 22 representatives of state and non-government organizations of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine which implemented youth volunteer projects. The study revealed challenges caused by quarantine restrictive measures which have been grouped by authors into two groups: organizational and methodological. The answers of the respondents provided the basis to identify the positive outcomes caused by the change of the usual format of youth volunteer programs and its development: mastering of distant forms of communication by employees; development of qualitatively new ideas and introducing training programs for volunteers; increasing the ability to use the Internet to promote volunteer programs; practicing online volunteering.
TO THE ISSUE OF FINDING THE STOICHIOMETRIC COEFFICIENTS IN THE CHEMICAL REACTIONS
In the present paper, on the basis of the theory of inverse and ill-posed problems, an algorithm is proposed that allows to unambiguously determine the stoichiometric coefficients in the equations of chemical reactions of any type, including redox reactions and acid-base reactions, and, regardless of whether the constructed system of linear algebraic equations for the desired stoichiometric coefficients is underdetermined (i.e. there are fewer equations than unknowns) or overdetermined (i.e. there are more equations than unknowns). The proposed algorithm is a regularized algorithm (according to Tikhonov), which ensures that, in a computer implementation, possible computational errors will not make the comprised system of linear algebraic equations to be incapable of solving
CAREER MYTHS FROM STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS PERSPECTIVE
Drastic and structural changes in the labour market and organizational environment related to the Covid-19 pandemic, rapid technological development, general globalization trends, demographic deterioration and other economic changes signal the need to find new approaches to the classical career management paradigm. Several studies on occupational segregation show that various stereotypes and misconceptions affecting the choice of occupations for young people are still relevant, but changes in the working environment also determine changes in this context. The European Social Fund project “Career Support in General and Vocational Education Institutions” has made huge contributions to the improvement of the career guidance system in Latvia since 2016, developing and approbating career development support action plans, along with informative and methodological materials, as well as educating career counsellors and support specialists, thereby updating their approaches to career guidance and management. This study analysed the views of students and educational staff about current beliefs and stereotypes about career choices and management. Data from the 96 specialists and managers surveyed from different educational institutions reveal that educators have a strong belief in the importance of career stability. A majority believe that career choice is not always a guided process, although most support the involvement of career professionals. The importance of prestigious education and hard work, as well as success in one’s career, is emphasized. The 10th through 12th grade students were surveyed in 2019–2020 in Daugavpils, Dobele, Ogre and Riga general educational schools. In the opinions of these pupils, there is evidence of various stereotypes regarding the choice of profession, as well as the correspondence of career beliefs and convictions within the dynamics of modern working life.
MEASURING INSTABILITY OF FOREIGN DIRECT INVESTMENT FLOWS IN LATVIA
Fluctuations of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) flows constitute an acute research problem globally and in Latvia studies. Already before COVID19, negative flows occurred. The research aim is to investigate stability in FDI in Latvia applying theory of dynamical system to big database of 129 countries of origin of FDI covering the whole period of regained statehood. The primary methods used are standard deviation and correlation. The main research result is disclosing growing instability of FDI flows in Latvia despite joining the EU and Eurozone. Novelty consists of research methodology justification, plotting analytical table, calculation of sigma and correlations for FDI flows for the periods before and after Latvia joined the EU, and drawing conclusions
PROGRAM OF SOCIO-PEDAGOGICAL PREVENTION OF ANXIETY IN ADOLESCENTS IN THE CONDITIONS OF A GENERAL EDUCATIONAL SCHOOL
This article discusses the problem of substantiating the need for social and pedagogical prevention of anxiety in adolescents in a general education school and the organization of the educational process, which takes into account the peculiarities of anxiety in adolescents. A theoretical analysis of the literature and the study of the experience of educational work in general education schools allow us to conclude that the educational process is not sufficiently focused on the prevention of anxiety among adolescents among the middle level. The aim of the research is to develop and approbate a program of social and pedagogical prevention of anxiety in adolescents in a comprehensive school. The structure of the study is based on the requirements of modern higher education, which is based on the professional competencies of the educational paradigm. The main results of the study allow us to determine the effectiveness of the developed program for the prevention of anxiety in adolescents. Based on the results of the analysis of the theory, the structure and methods of a social-pedagogical program for the prevention of anxiety will be revealed, using the example of the use of the methodology "Personal school of anxiety by J. Taylor" (1953). The question of the research is how to develop a program of social and pedagogical prevention of anxiety in adolescents, which will be systemic, holistic, personal and active in nature and will be effective
PROBLEMS OF MATHEMATICAL EDUCATION OF PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS: IDENTIFYING RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN CONCEPTS
The purpose of this article is to investigate how the undergraduate students in the primary education programs understand mathematical information (concepts). Having an understanding of the mathematical content allows the teacher to design different approaches to teaching younger students with different learning styles and abilities. The analysis of theoretical studies published in Russian scientific literature has shown that one of the important criteria for understanding information in a particular field of knowledge is to identify logical connections between the concepts of this field. In this article the authors present the results of their study on how undergraduate students studying in the profiles of “Primary Education" and "Psychological and Pedagogical Education” form the links between the concepts used in everyday life versus the connections between mathematical concepts. The results show that other disciplines/ fields of study influence the formation of connections between mathematical concepts. In addition, some specific difficulties in establishing some of these connections were identified. Based on this research, the authors provide recommendations on specific strategies to improve the professional education for future teachers in the area of mathematical knowledge.
