    Get PDF
Dramatic events related to the Russian-Ukrainian war shook up not only Ukraine, but the entire civilized world. The war exacerbated not only economic, political, and demographic problems, but also defined as priority tasks the physical rescue of a person, the preservation of his life and health, comprehensive assistance in migration, arranging life and living in critical conditions, overcoming fear and hopelessness. Russia broke all the rules of life on the planet and distinguished itself by atrocities, murders of civilians, looting, and rape. Ukrainians, who are faced with the challenges of life and death today, are looking for ways to preserve not only their territories, above all, their language, culture, education, and authenticity. Our desire for global and European values requires not only the support of the Armed Forces, but each person in his place to work to the best of his ability to support public life in all its dimensions. Education also requires new approaches to content, values, psychological and pedagogical principles, organizational forms, and tools to overcome the challenges facing Ukraine today. In the center of attention of the higher school now is the student whose life, in addition to traditional challenges, has been complicated by war, uncertainty about the future, confusion, despair, a difficult economic situation, the lack of an opportunity to provide basic needs, distance learning, etc. All this, as evidenced by our survey of students of higher education, often leads to maladaptation, depressive states, disappointment, apathy, anxiety, etc. Therefore, the stated situation actualizes the problem of finding optimal ways of adaptation of higher education students in crisis conditions, which will be outlined in our research. In order to identify the peculiarities of students` adaptation to crisis conditions, we conducted a study related to various aspects of their life. It included the possibility to receive psychological support during a crisis period. It is associated with a pandemic and war; awareness and understanding of external and internal factors of crisis conditions that influence student life; the process of adaptation to distance learning in crisis conditions; elucidation of the reasons  that negatively  influence/influenced the distance learning process in crisis conditions; determining positive  potential of distance learning in crisis conditions; evaluation by  students of educational process effectiveness in crisis conditions.

    Get PDF
The global societal challenges reveal decreased ability of people to maintain health and well-being when faced with prolonged stress conditions. Increases in anxiety, depression, and burnout are reported worldwide. The recent research indicates self-care as a useful resource to promote health and well-being and strengthen psychological resilience. The importance and attainability of self-care strategies are the characteristics that may indicate the necessity for self-care behaviour changes by identifying an internal conflict between the two. However, little is known about the determinants of self-care practicing according one’s needs. The study aimed to explore the experts’ perspectives on self-care needs among clinically healthy adults. The risks caused by inadequate self-care practices and the determinants of self-care behaviour change were identified. The interviews with 12 experts in arts therapies and/or health psychology were conducted. The qualitative content analysis was used to process the data. Psychological, health-related, and social risks were the categories of risks identified. The determinants of self-care behaviour change were categorized as knowledge, self-efficacy, attitude, perceived cues to action, planning, awareness, social support, and motivation. The identified items will contribute to evidence-based development of the intervention to promote self-care.

Conditional early release is a topical issue nowadays that can be faced by any convict who is eligible for parole. It is important not only to impose a sentence, but also to separate those convicted persons from the total number of convicts who are aware of the dangers of criminal activity and who should not serve their sentence in full, and their further correction is possible without isolation from society. Parole allows a prisoner to leave prison and return to society subject to certain restrictions and conditions. During parole, the prisoner will be subject to parole conditions and supervision. Parole provides prisoners with a structured, supported and supervised transition

THE CATEGORY OF JUSTICE AS AN IDEA AND PRINCIPLE OF CIVIL LAW

    Get PDF
The article examines the problem of distinguishing the categories "idea of law" and "principles of law", emphasizes the inadmissibility of characterizing the principles of civil law as corresponding ideas, draws attention to their relationship and correlation. It is especially emphasized that in the process of transformation of ideas of law into principles of law, their differentiation takes place. At the same time, for the understanding of the essence of law, the number of the allocated principles is not of fundamental importance. It becomes fundamentally important to identify and study the essential characteristics of the ideas of civil law, the patterns of their development, as a deep level of knowledge of law. The ideas of law in the philosophical and legal literature are considered as a combination of three components: justice, expediency and legal stability. Attention is drawn to the difference in the functional role of the principles and ideas of law. At the same time, it is especially emphasized that a principle is not an arbitrary concept of thinking, but a category that reflects the lawful relations of reality. Emphasizing the direct connection between justice and law, the types of existing normative models of justice are noted. The legal form is organically inherent in justice. Justice presupposes the legal equality of the subjects of law

These changes had a major impact on everyone around the world, but in 2022, as the incidence decreases, the tourism industry is gradually starting to recover. GENERAL AND SPECIFIC FACTORS OF FUTURE ORIENTATION LINK TO AWARENESS OF MEANING IN LIFE

    Get PDF
Future orientation reflects individual orientation toward personal goals, including cognitive representations of these goals and goal-directed behavior. Recent meta-analytical studies confirmed the positive effects of future orientation in various life domains. The effect of goal-orientedness in developing meaning in life still needs to be explored. This study accounted for the variability of personal goals across the life span and socialization trajectories. It focused on the relationships between a complex factorial structure of future orientation and the presence of meaning in life in emerging adults acquiring tertiary education. In total, 555 students participated in the study (mean age was 21.13, SD = 2.45, 64% females). The Individual Future Orientation Scale and Meaning in Life Questionnaire were applied for measurement. The factor analysis demonstrated that the bifactor model of future orientation includes the general factor and additional specific factors of future-oriented behavior and family-related goals. The general future orientation and future-oriented behavior positively predicted the presence of meaning in life. The emphasis on future-oriented behavior in a complex prediction is in line with the significance of the purpose in life for subjective awareness of meaningful life
