THE CONCEPT OF CONGREGATION AND PRINCIPLES OF IT’S CREATION
The subject of the article is congregation and its creation. Author provides characteristics for the concept of congregation and describes principles of its creation. The understanding of the congregation concept is becoming more relevant in the 21st century. For both – society and members of congregation – is necessary to understand purpose of congregation movement and how they want to participate in the activities of this movement Law provides for freedom of religion, which means that state has no rights to interrupt persons’ choice to join congregation membership. As well state has no rights to interrupt congregation movement until it’s proven that congregation movement violate law. In study work was used semantic, historical, comparative, and teleological method. The research aim is to analyse basic principles of concept of the congregation and its creation, what are the criteria for formation of the congregation and its movement, to identify shortcomings and collisions in normative regulation and statutes of the congregation. Propose amendments in the existing normative regulation. The conclusions of the research work showed that the concept of the congregation and principles of creation must be formed based on both the statutes of the congregation and the state normative regulation, the goals and tasks of the activity will comply to safe religious movement for the society
IMPACT OF COVID-19 ON THE TOURISM INDUSTRY IN LATVIA
The work of many industries has been significantly affected by the spread of the new coronavirus disease Covid-19. Starting from 2020, the global and Latvian tourism industry was affected by the crisis caused by Covid-19. As a result, many are now suffering - tourism, catering, transport, sports and culture, etc. The author conducted a survey of tourism companies in order to study the consequences of COVID-19 in tourism companies as widely as possible
TRAINING OF YOLOV5 NEURAL NETWORK FOR CLASSIFICATION OF PLANT SPECIES AND DISEASES BY PHOTOGRAPHS OF PLANT LEAVES
40% percent of crops are lost every year due to plant diseases. It is physically difficult for people to detect plant diseases in large-scale fields, especially at an early stage. The paper deals with the YoloV5 neural network training using different technologies. The neural network is trained to classify plant species and their diseases using photographs. The open access dataset PlantDoc was used for training. PlantDoc provides 2,569 images of 13 plant species and 27 classes for image classification and object detection. For the purity of the experiment, training was performed 10 times without changing the parameters. As a result of each training, we had obtained testing data on which we could draw conclusions
MACHINE LEARNING FOR HUMAN RECOGNITION
The aim of this work is to develop a neural network that will be able to recognize human presence. To achieve this goal, authors applied neural network architecture YOLOv5 and the open dataset COCO. The experiment was repeated three times. The study yielded a good result - the neural network was able to detect humans in images with a good precision
DEVELOPMENT OF ADULT LEARNERS’ 21ST CENTURY SKILLS IN GREENLAND: FIELD WORK ANALYSIS
The expansion of adult education has been presented as an effective strategy to solve the issues in adult employment. The aim of the present research is to analyse the field work carried out in Nuuk (Greenland) on the development of adult learners’ 21st century skills in Greenland underpinning the elaboration of implications for adult education in Greenland. The methods of the present research comprise both theoretical and empirical methods. The empirical study was based on fieldwork. Two on-site visits in Nuuk between the 8-12th August 2022 were carried out. Observation and participant observation were implemented. A semi-structured interview with two interviewees was conducted. The literature review allows for a conclusion that adult education in Greenland is mentioned neither in Greenland educational policy documents or scientific publications. Despite that, the analysis of the implemented fieldwork allows drawing a conclusion that adult education has been established on a municipal level like the centre Majoriaq, and on a non-governmental level like Kofoeds Skole. Both theoretical and empirical analysis contribute to the conclusion that adult learners’ 21st century skills in Greenland are being developed. However, these skills would need more joint work from all the adult education stakeholders.
FACTORS AFFECTING CUSTOMER SATISFACTION WITH TELECOMMUNATIONS SERVICES
The most significant changes in the international economy for the recent decades have been related to the growing role of the sector of services. As the proportion of services increases, customer satisfaction has become more important, so that customers return, do not go to the competitors and become a loyal customer. To understand their behaviour, it is necessary to know the things that affect their satisfaction – their needs, reasonable prices, pleasant service or anything else that can improve the company’s image. During the global pandemic, people stay at home, so the demand for telecommunication services has rapidly grown. Its quality and customer service are a lot more needed. In this study case, these aspects are considered through Tele2’s tariff plan “Bezlimits” (“Unlimited”) and the opinion of its users. A questionnaire has been made to collect the data, analyse, interpret and to make conclusions that can be binding to all companies in the telecommunications industry
THE ALLOWANCE FOR IDLE TIME
Following the identification of an emergency situation, a downtime allowance was introduced in the Republic of Latvia to compensate for the restrictions imposed on employers and the self-employed. Payment of the allowance is intended only for those employees and self-employed persons who have paid social insurance contributions in previous periods, thus small producers, craftsmen, small farms were left without social support, although their activities were severely restricted or banned altogether. It cannot be argued that the payment of the downtime allowance was linked to the payment of the allowance to dependent children, so that in future the allowance for children in emergency situations is not linked to any other type of support. The analysis of the conditions of downtime allowance shows that the criteria for receiving the allowance are very variable, which interferes employers from orienting themselves to the proposed solutions and applying them in a timely manner, moreover, excessive changes are not related to one of the basic principles of good legislation
REMOTE WORK ADAPTATION AS A RESULT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC IN LATVIA
The author researches the situation of remote work in Latvia both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as compares such work arrangements in context with global tendencies. The study analyses how COVID 19 global pandemic effects telework adaptation of employees in the private and public sectors. The goal of this publication is to research the introduction of telework in Latvia under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The research reveals that remote and telework is not a novelty on a global scale but has been largely regarded as the white-collar employee privilege, however, in Latvia this work model have been rarely used in the pre-pandemic time with an exception of the IT sector. Moreover, such arrangements in Latvia have been previously overlooked due to lack of digitalization among the company\u27s processes, reluctance to implement innovative management solutions, deficient legislation, as well as low level of trust in employees by management. According to professionals of the field, the lately gained popularity of telework arrangement will be kept for 20%-30% of the employees in Latvia after lifting the physical distancing rules
MOTIVATION TECHNIQUES FOR GAINING AND MAINTAINING THE LOYALTY OF NOWADAY’S WORKFORCE
The problem to be studied: Employee education is not the only criterion. Preparation for a specific job is also important. A lot of resources are spent on training new employees, so it is important to keep existing ones. There is a relatively high unemployment rate in Latvia. At the same time, many employers are looking for employees. The aim of the research: to mark the main causes of staff turnover and to develop proposals for their reduction. To achieve the aim, the following tasks were performed: there were studied the structure and dynamics of salary; job advertisement research; reasons for leaving the job. The authors drew conclusions and made some supplements to employers to attract new employees and retain existing ones
LASER HARDENING PROCESS ON Ck 45 DEPENDING ON THE LASER PARAMETERS - a small review
This study displays the effect of laser surface hardening parameters on the Ck 45 steel. The method is mostly based on experimental tests, with micro-hardness data being used to obtain the hardness profile Ck 45.The beauty of the surface laser hardening technique is that, it hardens a specific area without changing the surface qualities of the surrounding area. Due to its versatility and capacity to manufacture parts with complex geometry, laser heat treatment is regarded one of the best-performing manufacturing technologies currently in use
