These days, the world is constantly changing: various innovations, digitization, and new business models are rapidly developing in every country. However, the focus is mostly on digitization, where efforts are made to eliminate physical information providers and transfer all knowledge to the electronic space. As a result, most young entrepreneurs choose to start businesses by using mobile applications, but just a few delve into how these apps can generate income. The aim of this article is to analyze seven main business strategies to generate money, which are app sales, in-app purchases, in-app advertising, subscription models, freemium model, affiliate marketing, and data monetization that individuals can employ to generate income from mobile apps. Using the method of literature source analysis, it was determined that the monetizing method from apps depends on the purpose and type of the application, making it impossible to highlight the best income generation method. Therefore, it is crucial for young entrepreneurs to recognize that understanding how programs generate income is not only beneficial in personal life but also essential for developing business skills for the future

Distance learning or remote studies can break the boundaries of time and space, as students can use computers or electronic devices (for instance, mobile phones and tablets) to instantly acquire learning resources and listen to teachers during remote classes. The pandemic led to procedures that changed the way teachers teach and communicate with students and families. All teachers faced such a situation for the first time, thus it was necessary to invent, acquire and apply new teaching methods in sports and health classes, in order to provide students with the planned amount of physical activity in sports classes, as well as to implement the curriculum. The human body is made for movement; therefore, a person feels best when they move regularly. The aim of this study was to evaluate the skills of sports teachers to apply digital teaching methods in secondary school sports and health classes, and the quality of distance learning. Research methods: the research used surveys, which were issued to 29 secondary schools in Latvia, as well as to 2 respondents from primary schools. In total, 34 respondents filled out the research survey. In order to determine the opinion of sports teachers on the quality of distance learning in sports classes in secondary school and the applied digital skills, interviews were conducted with the participation of 5 sports teachers. Analysing the responses to the survey and the correlations between them, the research results show that if the sports teacher has not acquired digital skills, then online and distance learning cannot be provided, as well as the set learning results in sports in secondary school are not achieved

In the practice of Ukrainian public institutions today, there is a significant presence of financial support from international funds to ensure the implementation of social projects. This topic in the education sector also has its roots and peculiarities of use at different levels of educational services. And one of the most pressing issues in our practice of implementing socially significant projects on the basis of higher education institutions and within the framework of NGOs was the issue of a phased algorithm for implementing such projects. Therefore, in this scientific review, we have considered the importance and significance of social projects in the public and public sector on the example of Ukraine and EU countries; compared the main directions of international and Ukrainian social projects analysed the issues of financial support for relevant project activities. This analysis allowed us to present the main algorithms of interaction between public funds, business and the community at the national and international level, as well as to develop an algorithm for ensuring social projects for their further implementation in the context of global access to information and grant support at all levels.

    Get PDF
The pre-school period is valuable in itself. It is at this age that the child\u27s most important personality traits, his or her perception, thinking, communication, etc., develop. STEAM goes hand in hand with the development of 21st century skills and should be included as early as possible in the curriculum. Children\u27s early experiences with science, technology, engineering and mathematics and the arts influence their future success in these areas. When teachers give children early opportunities to learn maths and science in an interactive environment that builds communication and collaboration skills, children are more confident and competent in these subjects. This not only makes higher education more accessible to children but also contributes to a well-prepared society. Survey of 116 teachers and 104 parents identified that parents of pre-school children are more accurate in identifying the disciplines that STEAM education integrates, they perceive that the teacher\u27s background in mathematics and science influences children\u27s mathematical and science education, and that young children can apply early mathematical concepts. Parents identified advantages and barriers to the successful implementation of STEAM in pre-school education.

This article presents an analysis of the research aimed at students\u27 attitude towards representation of mentoring relationships and an opportunity for their professional development in terms of teaching practice. The study is based on the assumption that the diversity of mentoring relationships and differences in their representation during teaching practice relate directly to the opportunities for students’ professional development. Mentoring is widely considered to be one of the models of support used in many different areas of society to meet the growing needs for personal and professional development. It is acknowledged that mentoring is a relationship between a more experienced, professional individual (a mentor) and a less experienced mentee. However, the following practical problem is identified: mentors themselves do not always recognise the variety of mentoring relationships or their impact on students’ professional development, i.e., opinions diverge when it comes to clarifying: What do mentoring relationships mean in terms of students\u27 professional development? What explains the divergence of opinions or even the disagreement on the concept of mentoring relationships? How do different mentoring relationships affect students\u27 professional development in terms of teaching practice? Searching for answers to the above problem questions provides new insights and possible practical solutions for analysing students\u27 professional development during teaching practice. Thus, the goal of the study is to represent mentoring relationships and the professional development of students in terms of teaching practice. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature and questionnaire survey. Research results: the research shows that the multi-meaning of mentoring relationships depends on a context of an individual’s activity or a social field in which mentoring relationships take place. Research participants pointed out that mentoring relationships are understood by practice supervisors-mentors quite categorically, which restricts the professional development of students. During the research, it was found that mentoring relationships during students’ practical training should be expressed in different forms and practices to provide more opportunities for their professional development

    Get PDF
The research on eating disorder (ED) prevention, evolving since the mid-1990s has primarily focused on medical and psychiatric perspectives, emphasising diagnosis and treatment. At the same, there is a growing recognition that prevention efforts, despite their critical importance, are underrepresented in academic literature. This study aims to promote a more holistic approach, integrating education as a pivotal socio-cultural factor in ED prevention. The study delineates a shift from a predominantly medical model to a more inclusive socio-cultural framework. It stresses the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and emphasises the critical role of educational strategies in the broader context of ED prevention. The aim of this article is to conduct a review of the scientific literature in order to provide a clearer picture of general research trends and paradigms in ED, and to expand the role and relevance of ED prevention in an educational context. While acknowledging that social environments including micro, meso, macro systems influence the development of ED, this paper focuses on the meso environment, highlighting the importance of schools and school professionals in preventing ED.

The presence of non-public schools on the polish higher education market has led to increased competition and constituted a fundamental incentive to introduce marketing management in universities, both public and private. The educational services market is dominated by price competition, supported by promotional activities. Image and price are the two most important reasons for taking up studies at a given university, and the image is a particularly important source of building a university\u27s competitive advantage. However, between public and private universities in Poland, there are significant differences in terms of image structure. The aim of this article is to examine what identity factors are decisive for candidates, what sources of information about the university were most important for candidates

Aim: The study investigated the correspondence between parent and teacher assessments of 3 to 6-year-old children\u27s language skills using the Expressive and Receptive Language Scales from the Early Childhood Developmental Screening Toolkit – BAASIK (an acronym in Latvian). Material and methods: Ninety-five preschool teachers and 424 parents participated in an online survey assessing the expressive and receptive language skills of children aged 3 to 6 years. Results: Spearman\u27s correlation analysis revealed statistically significant (p < .001) moderate to strong correlations between the ratings of children’s language skills by parents and teachers.  For the Receptive Language Scales, correlations ranged from rS = .43 to rS = .6, and for the Expressive Language Scales, from rS = .54 to rS = .64. Conclusions: The study confirmed that parents’ and teachers’ assessments of children’s expressive and receptive language skills are significantly correlated. The BAASIK Expressive and Receptive Language Scales used by both parents and teachers could be effective for early screening, potentially aiding in the prompt identification of language development issues and the subsequent referral to speech and language therapy services.
