PENDEKATAN KOMPREHENSIF GERIATRIK PADA PASIEN LANSIA DENGAN HERNIA NUKLEUS PULPOSUS LUMBAL
Herniated nucleus pulposus (HNP) is a common cause of low back pain in older adults, leading to decreased quality of life and independence. This condition is often accompanied by multimorbidity, requiring a comprehensive geriatric approach for diagnosis and management. A 69-year-old female presented with chronic low back pain for three years, aggravated by prolonged sitting, and accompanied by numbness in the right leg. Her medical history included left-sided gonarthrosis post-surgery, cataract, hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. MRI revealed a disc herniation at the L4–L5 segment. Comprehensive geriatric assessment showed mild dependency, low functional capacity, suspected depression, risk of malnutrition, and frailty. A multidisciplinary conservative approach was implemented, including analgesic therapy, posture education, activity modification, nutritional optimization, and family support. This case highlights the importance of multidimensional evaluation in elderly patients with HNP, as successful management depends not only on pain control but also on addressing comorbidities, psychosocial factors, and functional status to prevent disability and improve quality of life
REVIEW OF BIOPHILIC DESIGN RESEARCH DEVELOPMENTS ON TRENDS, GAPS, AND FUTURE OPPORTUNITIES
Biophilic design has become a prominent approach in contemporary architecture. It aims to enhance human health, well-being, and productivity by integrating natural elements into the built environment. However, despite its growing popularity, current biophilic design research and applications largely rely on universal principles and often overlook ecological and cultural contexts, particularly in non-Western, tropical, and urban regions such as Southeast Asia.
Aims: This study aims to examine the global development of biophilic design research by identifying major trends, research gaps, and future research opportunities.
Methodology and results: A summative content analysis was conducted on 90 highly cited articles published in indexed national and international journals between 2014 and 2024. The findings indicate that existing studies predominantly focus on direct and indirect experience of nature, while the experience of space and place, especially aspects related to cultural and ecological attachment to place, remains underexplored.
Conclusion, significance, and impact of the study: The findings highlight a critical research gap in context-sensitive biophilic design approaches. This study underscores the importance of developing regenerative biophilic design models that incorporate local wisdom, cultural identity, and ecological specificity. These models provide a foundation for future research and design practices that are both globally informed and locally responsive

Multi-Temporal Identification and Analysis of Land Surface Deformation with Land Use Land Cover in Makassar City
Rapid urbanization heightens the risk of land subsidence in Makassar City. Aim: This study analyzes and maps land surface deformation alongside Land Use and Land Cover (LULC) dynamics from 2020–2024. Methodology and Results by integrating multitemporal Sentinel-1 SAR (VV polarization) and supervised LULC classification from Landsat-8 on the Google Earth Engine platform. Annual LULC maps were produced using an SVM, yielding high accuracy (Kappa 0.893–0.988). Built-up land expanded mainly at the expense of vegetation and bare land. Deformation was inferred from temporal differences in VV backscatter (VV_diff); statistics were computed for each class. Negative VV_diff values were frequently observed in built-up and bareland areas, indicating subsidence. Significant interannual variability was observed in 2023-2024, particularly within the vegetation zones. Linear regression confirmed a strong negative deformation trend in built-up areas (slope −0.0123 dB/year). These results demonstrate a linkage between urban expansion and ground deformation. Conclusion, significance, and impact study: The approach provides a repeatable and cost-effective framework for continuous subsidence monitoring using open satellite data. GEE facilitates the open replication of workflows. The findings contribute to the field of urban planning and policy by identifying vulnerable zones, promoting risk-aware land allocation, infrastructure maintenance, and sustainable development methods for Indonesian coastal megacities and other rapidly expanding metropolitan areas

Electric Vehicles (EVs) use lithium-ion batteries as an effective and efficient energy storage solution. However, battery operation generates excessive heat, which can lead to fires and accidents. Maintaining the battery surface temperature is crucial to prevent thermal runaway. This study aims to numerically investigate the surface temperature of a battery pack with different geometric configurations in electric vehicles. The research method employs CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation with various geometric configurations: first, a flat and smooth surface; second, a fin-shaped surface; and third, a wave-shaped surface. The simulation results from these different geometries will be compared with experimental data from previous research [6] to determine the optimal geometric configuration for reducing the battery pack\u27s surface temperature
PENINGKATAN PENDAPATAN ASLI DAERAH MELALUI PENGELOLAAN KAWASAN STRATEGIS PARIWISATA DI KOTA BENGKULU: Increasing Local Own-Source Revenue Through The Management Of Strategic Tourism Areas In Bengkulu City
As the Provincial capital, Bengkulu city possesses significant tourism potential across natural, cultural and historical sectors. This strategic asset, if managed effectively, could drive economic growth and serve as primary source of local genuine revenue (PAD). Despite iconic landmarks such as “pantai panjang” and “fort Marlborough”, the tourism sector’s contribution to Bengkulu city’s PAD remains disproportionately low relative to its potential. Financial data for 2024 shows PAD realization at only IDR 184.17 billion, falling significantly short of the IDR 320 billion target set in the regional budget (APBD). Consequently, regional financial management in the tourism sector must prioritize the principles of legality, effectiveness, efficiency and compliance with prevailing regulations. This research addresses the legal issue of local government efforts to increase PAD through strategic tourism areas in Bengkulu city. This research using a normative juridical method, this descriptive study utilizes secondary data supported by primary data, analyzed qualitatively through deductive reasoning. The research concludes that the government’s financial management remains suboptimal in achieving the predetermined targets estabilished in the Bengkulu city APB
