Understanding of the Halal Certification Process Among Business Actors in the Food and Beverage MSME Sector in Indonesia
Background: The obligation for halal certification is regulated under Law No. 6 of 2023, with initial implementation targeting food and beverage producers, including Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME). In 2024, Indonesia has 65 million MSMEs, the majority operating in the food sector. Business actors' understanding of the halal certification process using the self-declare scheme needs to be examined to ensure a smooth certification process and to optimize the role of the Halal Product Process (PPH) companion. This study explores business actors' knowledge and experience regarding the self-declare halal certification process. Method: This study employs qualitative research with a narrative design. In-depth interviews were conducted with three purposively selected business actors in Nomporejo Village, Galur, Kulonprogo, between July and August 2024. The collected data were analyzed and presented narratively. Results: Findings indicate that business actors lack a clear understanding of the halal certification process through the self-declare scheme, particularly regarding certification objectives, process flow, and the involved parties. Their understanding of certification objectives is limited to business benefits, while they recognize only business actors and PPH companions were involved. Their comprehension of the certification process is restricted to document preparation, with the PPH companion handling all subsequent steps. Conclusion: This limited understanding affects certification effectiveness, as business actors rely entirely on PPH companions for technical matters. The government must strengthen the role of PPH companions, enhance educational efforts, and encourage business actors to take an active role in maintaining halal compliance to ensure a more effective and sustainable certification proces
COVID-19 pandemic and housing demand mortgage: Partial adjustment model approach
One of the efforts to encourage the fulfillment of housing needs is the provision of housing both from the government and the private sector by considering the community's purchasing power. The background of this research is that the fulfillment of housing needs by both the government and the private sector has yet to be maximized while the demand for housing is relatively high. This research is still necessary because the demand for housing is still high. Increased housing demand will push house prices due to limited housing land. The problems faced focus on the relatively high demand for mortgages because even in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, people still make houses their top priority. This study aims to analyze the effect of people's income, loan interest rates, the amount of housing finance, and dummy before and during the COVID-19 pandemic on housing demand mortgage. The data analysis technique in this study used multiple regression Partial Adjustment Model (PAM). The results showed that the variables of income as proxy for GDP and loan interest rates significantly affected housing demand mortgage. In contrast, the amount of housing finance and the COVID-19 dummy had no significant impact. The research implication that researchers can provide to the government is to provide policy recommendations regarding the Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program, which is intended for low-income communities
Implementation of the learning local wisdom values of the Baduy community to foster civic engagement
This study aims to specifically examine how the local wisdom values of the Baduy community are integrated into Civic and Pancasila Education (PPKn) learning and to identify their concrete contributions to fostering students’ civic engagement. Employing a literature study approach, this research reviews and analyzes relevant national and international studies published between 2010 and 2025. The findings indicate that Baduy local wisdom, such as simplicity, honesty, obedience to customary rules (pikukuh), mutual cooperation, environmental awareness, and social solidarity, is systematically reflected in PPKn learning content and pedagogical practices. These values contribute to the development of students’ civic knowledge through contextual understanding of citizenship concepts, enhance civic skills through participatory learning activities such as deliberation and collective problem-solving, and strengthen civic dispositions by fostering responsibility, environmental care, and social participation. Furthermore, the integration of Baduy local wisdom makes PPKn learning more contextual, participatory, and culturally responsive. This study concludes that incorporating local wisdom into Civic and Pancasila Education not only supports cultural preservation but also concretely strengthens students’ civic engagement and Pancasila-based character in responding to contemporary democratic and global challenges

Data analysis using ANCOVA via SPSS version 26 revealed significant improvements in both critical thinking and metacognitive skills in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings demonstrate that the AR-based Quantum Teaching model effectively enhances students’ cognitive and selfregulatory skills in biology learning. The study concludes that integrating AR technology within innovative teaching models can foster critical competencies essential for students’ academic success and lifelong learning. The implications of this research suggest that schools and educators should consider adopting AR-supported pedagogies to enrich the learning experience and promote deeper understanding. Educational stakeholders are encouraged to invest in teacher training and digital infrastructure to support the successful implementation of such models. Furthermore, this study provides a foundation for developing curriculum innovations that combine interactive technology and student-centered approaches, aiming to prepare learners with the critical and metacognitive skills necessary for future academic and professional challenges.
Implementation of Ergonomics and Local Wisdom in Designing ErJo (Ergonomic Jojodog) as a Solution to the Sustainability of Squatting Work
Background: This community service program was implemented to address musculoskeletal complaints among production workers who frequently adopted squatting postures, which imposed static loads on the lower back, knees, and calves, resulting in discomfort and reduced productivity.
Contribution: This study introduces ErJo (Ergonomic Jojodog), a culturally adaptive ergonomic innovation that integrates traditional sitting design with modern ergonomic principles to enhance worker comfort and foster cultural acceptance.
Method: A participatory ergonomics approach involving ten production workers was employed through design, testing, and evaluation stages. Musculoskeletal complaints were assessed using the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 9011:2021), complemented by field observations and semi-structured interviews.
Results: After two weeks of ErJo implementation, musculoskeletal complaints in the knees and calves decreased from 67% to 20%, while lower-back discomfort declined to 40%. Participants reported greater comfort, stability, and ease of movement, with the belt-equipped model achieving the highest usability score. This study demonstrates that integrating ergonomics with local wisdom enhances worker well-being and promotes sustainable occupational practices.
Conclusion: ErJo effectively reduced musculoskeletal complaints and improved work comfort in squatting tasks. This innovation supports SDG 3 (good health and well-being) and SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), with potential for broader application across similar manual occupations
