SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF MONTMORILLONITE/TiO2 COMPOSITES AS A PHOTOCATALYST IN REDUCING BOD AND COD OF DOMESTIC WASTEWATER
The development of hotels in Bali is increasing every year, this is directly proportional to the number of tourists and the waste generated. Hotel liquid waste has the potential to pollute the environment if there is no pre-disposal treatment. This study aims to obtain the best MMT/TiO2 composite that acts as an adsorbent and photocatalytic in reducing BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) and COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) levels of domestic wastewater. Composite synthesis was carried out by combining the top-down method, ball milling, and sonication. The ball milling method is used to produce montmorillonite, which has a smaller size, with a ball mass to sample mass ratio of 2:1 at a speed of 250 rpm. Variations in milling times of 0, 2, 4, and 6 hours were applied to determine the effect of milling time. The sonication method was used to obtain a smaller TiO2 particle size by exposing it to ultrasonic waves for 30 minutes. Calsination of the composite was carried out at a temperature of 400 °C. The results of composite characterization using the PSA (Particle Size Analyzer) showed that the composite did not meet the nanoparticle requirements because it had a particle size > 100 nm with a PI value > 0.5, which was still classified as polydispersity. NMT 6 has the best PI value of 0.65, which is then used to determine the optimum composite time to reduce BOD and COD levels. The optimum irradiation time obtained from composites in degrading waste is 90 minutes, which can reduce BOD levels by 78.53% and COD levels by 69%. THE INFLUENCE OF DIGITAL LITERACY PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODELS ON STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
Higher education in the digital age demands the integration of digital literacy in a learning approach to prepare students to face the complexity of job market demands. In this context, Problem Based Learning (PBL) models offer a potentially effective approach in promoting deep understanding and critical thinking skills. Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, the focus of learning is on the chosen problem so that students not only learn concepts related to the problem that is the center of attention but also scientific methods to solve the problem. The research was carried out at HKBP Nommensen University located on Jl. Sangnawaluh No.4, Siopat Suhu, East Siantar District, Pematangsiantar City, North Sumatra, Zip Code 21136. The research period starts in January 2024 – July 2024 at the Biology Education Study Program at HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University. The study population is all students of the Biology Education study program at HKBP Nommensen Pematangsiantar University. The type of research used in this study is a type of quasi-experimental research, which is research intended to determine whether or not there is an influence of the treatment given to students as research subjects. In this study, researchers used a pretest-postest control group design which aims to determine the learning outcomes of students before and after being treated. IMPLEMENTATION OF AN INTEGRATED GUIDED INQUIRY LEARNING MODEL FOR GENERIC SCIENCE SKILLS ON ACIDS BASE MATERIAL
Abstract: This study aims to determine the effect of prior knowledge evaluation and student worksheets on learning outcomes and to determine the differences in learning outcomes between high prior knowledge and low prior knowledge using the Guided Inquiry learning model integrated with Generic Science Skills on Acid Base material. This study uses a dual paradigm design with two independent variables and one dependent variable. The population in this study were all students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin consisting of 3 classes. The sample in this study was taken using a purposive sampling technique of 1 class, namely class XI MIPA 2 with a total of 34 students who were taught with the Guided Inquiry learning model integrated with Generic Science Skills using learning devices consisting of prior knowledge evaluation, teaching materials, student worksheets and evaluation of learning outcomes. The instruments used in this study were the initial knowledge evaluation test instrument, the learning outcome evaluation test instrument, student worksheets and the non-test instrument used was the student observation sheet. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests and Independent Sample T-Test tests. The results of the data analysis obtained showed that there was a significant influence between the evaluation of prior knowledge and student worksheets on learning outcomes and there was a difference between students with high prior knowledge and students with low prior knowledge.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh evaluasi pengetahuan awal dan lembar kerja peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar dan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara pengetahuan awal yang tinggi dan pengetahuan awal yang rendah dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing terintegrasi Keterampilan Generik Sains pada materi Asam Basa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain paradigma ganda dengan dua variabel independen dan satu variabel dependen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 1 Pantai Cermin yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Sampel dalam penelitian ini diambil dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 1 kelas yaitu kelas XI MIPA 2 dengan jumlah peserta didik 34 orang yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran Inkuiri Terbimbing terintegrasi Keterampilan Generik Sains dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang terdiri dari evaluasi pengetahuan awal, bahan ajar, lembar kerja peserta didik dan evaluasi hasil belajar. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah instrumen tes evaluasi pengetahuan awal, instrumen tes evaluasi hasil belajar, lembar kerja peserta didik dan instrumen non tes yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi peserta didik. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji regresi linear ganda dan uji Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara evaluasi pengetahuan awal dan lembar kerja peserta didik terhadap hasil belajar dan ada perbedaan antara peserta didik yang pengetahuan awal tinggi dengan peserta didik yang pengetahuan awal rendah.

ANALISIS NILAI KALOR, KADAR ABU DAN KADAR AIR BIOBRIKET KULIT PISANG
Abstract: The development of the era is currently increasing rapidly along with the development of technology. This causes the needs of society for their survival to increase along with the development of technology, one of which is the need for energy. Bioenergy development is one way to meet energy needs in the future. The use of bioenergy can reduce greenhouse gas emissions and can achieve sustainable energy development. Briquettes are one of the carbon-containing fuels that can burn for a long time and have a high calorific value. The banana peel sample used was 100 grams of kepok banana peel. The stages of this Biobriquette analysis include 4 stages of research, namely: Raw Material Preparation Stage, Carbonization Stage, Adhesive Making Stage, and Analysis Stage of Calorific Value, ash and water content. From the results of the study, it was obtained that the two samples of banana peel Biobriquettes had met the provisions of SNI 01/6235/2000 in terms of calorific value, water content and ash content. Based on the results of the analysis carried out, the biobriquette sample B, namely banana peel biobriquette with tapioca flour adhesive, has a good calorific value, ash content and water content of 5438 Cal/gram, 4% and 4.2% respectively.

Abstrak: Perkembangan zaman pada saat ini meningkat pesat seiring dengan berkembangnya teknologi. Hal ini menyebabkan kebutuhan masyarakat akan kelangsungan hidupnya meningkat pula seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi tersebut salah satunya adalah kebutuhan energi. Pengembangan bioenergi merupakan salah satu cara untuk memenuhi kebutuhan energi dimasa yang akan datang. Penggunaan bioenergi dapat mengurangi emisi gas rumah kaca serta dapat mencapai pengembangan energi yang berkelanjutan. Briket merupakan salah satu bahan bakar mengandung karbon yang dapat menyala dalam waktu lama dan memiliki nilai kalor yang tinggi. Sampel kulit pisang yang digunakan adalah kulit pisang kepok sebanyak 100 gram. Adapun tahapan analisis Biobriket ini meliputi 4 tahapan penelitian yakni : Tahap Persiapan Bahan Baku, Tahap Karbonisasi, Tahap Pembuatan Perekat, dan Tahap Analisis Nilai kalor, kadar abu dan air. Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh hasil bahwa kedua sampel Biobriket kulit pisang telah memenuhi ketentuan dari SNI 01/6235/2000 ditinjau dari nilai kalor, kadar air dan kadar abu. Berdasarkan dari hasil analisis yang dilakukan, sampel biobriket B yakni Biobriket kulit pisang dengan perekat tepung tapioka dengan nilai kalor, kadar abu dan kadar air yang baik masing-masing sebesar 5438 Cal/gram, 4% dan 4,2%.

PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN GENERATIF TERHADAP SELF EFFICACY DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA SMA NEGERI 14 GOWA
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran generatif terhadap self- efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 14 Gowa. Penelitian ini merupakan Quasy experiment menggunakan desain Non-equivalent Control Group Design. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan angket self efficacy. Teknik analisis data secara deskriptif dan analisis statistic uji-t independen menggunakan SPSS 22. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, didapat hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran generative lebih tinggi yaitu 81,70 kategori tinggi daripada kelas kontrol yang diajar dengan metode konvensional yaitu 62, 59 kategori sedang. Self efficacy kelas eksperimen pada kategori sangat baik 44,12 % lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol hanya sebesar 29,41%. Hasil analisis statistik self efficacy dan hasil belajar didapatkan nilai signifikansi 0,042 dan 0,000 lebih kecil dari nilai alpha 0,05, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh secara signifikan model pembelajaran generatif terhadap self efficacy dan hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMAN 14 Gowa.

The Novelty of Producing Maltodextrin From The Local Sago of Papua
Sago (sago Metroxylon Rottb) is an abundant starch source in Indonesia but has not been used optimally. On the one hand, Indonesia is still importing modified starch, including starch-based maltodextrin, to meet the needs of industry, especially pharmaceuticals and food. Maltodextrin production from sago starch of Papua is expected to support the development of plant-based starch derivative products in Indonesia. This study produces sago starch-based maltodextrin through hydrolysis using two constant time parameters for 60 minutes, temperature 800C, and varied enzyme alpha-amylase into three different loadings of 0.05%, 0.075%, and 0.1%. Some of the acceptable characterizations of Maltodextrin measured were Dextrose Equivalent (DE) and solubility in water corresponding to values of 16.7 and 96.9%, respectively, which were obtained from Sago starch sample hydrolyzed using the highest enzyme loading of 0.1%. Another supporting parameter is the lowest moisture content of 5.46%, generated by the enzyme loading of 0.1% during hydrolysis. Penentuan Kadar Kafein Dari Teh Seduhan Cascara Menggunakan Metode Spektrofotometri UV-Vis
In this study, caffeine levels were determined. The initial stage was isolating caffeine from cascara brewed tea using extraction. A calibration curve was created, and the final stage was to determine the caffeine content using the UV-Vis spectroscopy method. The test results produced different levels of caffeine in each cascara brewed tea sample, namely sample I at 1.37%, II at 1.35%, and III at 1.36%. This research shows that the lower the caffeine content in tea, the better the quality
PENYULUHAN PANGAN SEHAT DAN BAHAN TAMBAHAN PANGAN (BTP) BAGI SISWA SMP NEGERI 5 JAYAPURA, KOTA JAYAPURA
In Indonesia, the food industry has grown rapidly. Along with the development of the food industry, many negative impacts are caused, such as the circulation of food additives (FA) that are harmful to health. In practice, here are still many food industry that use hazardous FA which actually should not be used in food. Borax is useful for preserving wood and cleaning agents while formalin is a preservative for corpses and is carcinogenic which can trigger cancer if consumed. The use of rhodamine B in food for a long time leads to liver dysfunction or cancer, and when exposed to large amounts over a short period, it results in acute poisoning. Meanwhile nitrite can become hazardous if they form nitrosamines, and many can increase the risk for cancer. Based on the data of Extraordinary Events (KLB) of school snacks in 2017, food poisoning mostly occurred in elementary and junior high school students. Therefore, it is necessary to hold counseling to provide information to children about healthy food and the importance of knowledge about food additives, especially food additives that are harmful to health (borax, formalin, nitrite and rhodamine B). The results of the counseling showed good participant satisfaction, this was indicated by an increase in the percentage of student evaluation results
PELATIHAN PENGENALAN JENIS-JENIS PENCEMARAN UDARA SEBAGAI USAHA PENINGKATAN KESADARAN MASYARAKAT
The impact of development has risks for society, one of the impacts of development is the emergence or occurrence of environmental pollution. The objectives of the service activities: (1) introduce a training program to recognize types of air pollution; (2) through service it can produce output in the form of a national service journal. This activity was held on July 20, 2023 at SMA Negeri 2 Skanto Keerom. The target audience involved in this activity are high school students. The selection of the target audience is based on the tasks and obligations of students to build Adiwiyata High School that loves the environment. The methods used in the implementation of this activity are lectures, simulations and practice on how to harvest and use it. The conclusion is that: (1) Participants are very enthusiastic about participating in service activities and understand air pollution, its types and impacts; (2) based on the evaluation results, it shows that the level of understanding of the participants is quite good when seen from the percentage of all participants\u27 opinions.

This research aims to find out about fishing techniques with pocket shrimp nets at FB. SPL IX. Methods of data collection carried out in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The fishing technique with pocket shrimp nets at FB. SPL IX consists of several stages, activities at the fishing base, heading to the fishing ground, activities at the fishing ground, lowering fishing gear (setting), towing fishing gear, hauling, and handling the catch. Techniques for handling fish caught on board Shrimp Hela Nets at FB.
