Dr Prosa Sunda Sebagai Media Pendidikan Tafsir: Resepsi al-Quran dalam Carpon dan Esei Karya E. Abdurrahman : Resepsi al-Quran dalam Carpon dan Esei Karya E. Abdurrahman
This study examines Sundanese prose as a medium for Qur’anic education, focusing on the reception of the Qur’an in the carpon (short stories) and essays of E. Abdurrahman. The findings reveal that E. Abdurrahman integrates Qur’anic values into narrative elements—such as plot, setting, dialogue, and everyday situations—bringing the Qur’anic text closer to readers’ lived experiences. His Qur’anic carpon and essays function not only as cultural exegesis but also as an educational medium for Qur’anic interpretation, encompassing moral, spiritual, social, and political dimensions. These works can be positioned as a form of cultural exegesis that synthesizes religiosity, aesthetics, and local consciousness. Thus, literature serves as a productive space for creative reception of the Qur’an, contributing to the development of a more inclusive, communicative, and contextual framework for Qur’anic learning in the Nusantara (Southeast Asian) context.

The problem of plastic waste in the ocean is currently an important concern because of its great impact on the environment and human life. This research departs from the concern that the study of Qur\u27an interpretation is still rarely directly associated with modern environmental issues, especially about marine pollution. The purpose of this research is to understand the message of QS. Al-Rūm [30]: 41 about damage at sea using ma‘nā-cum-maghzā approach which emphasizes the meaning and moral message of the verse in the contemporary context. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach through a literature review, which explores various classical and contemporary interpretations. The results of the study show that the verse not only talks about the consequences of human actions in general, but also contains a moral message for humans to maintain the balance of nature and not damage it, including the sea which is now polluted with plastic waste. In conclusion, ma‘nā-cum-maghzā approach helps to relate the values of the Qur\u27an to today\u27s environmental issues in terms of environmental damage caused by plastic waste, so that the interpretation becomes more relevant and solutive. Academically, this research contributes to the development of a more contextual thematic interpretation and encourages ecological awareness in an Islamic perspective
A Comparative Analysis of Western and Islamic Developmental Psychology: Analisis Perbandingan Psikologi Perkembangan Barat dan Islam
Understanding the developmental psychology of individuals is essential for comprehending their growth and behavior throughout life. This study highlights the comparative perspectives of Western and Islamic psychology, both of which aim to understand human behavior but differ in their philosophical, methodological, and spiritual foundations. Western psychology, rooted in ancient Greek thought and later developed through empirical sciences, emphasizes observable behaviors, mental processes, and physiological mechanisms. Key paradigms include psychoanalysis, behaviorism, and humanism, with a focus on rationality and empirical methods. In contrast, Islamic psychology integrates spiritual dimensions, drawing from the Quran and Hadith, and emphasizes the balance of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects to achieve holistic well-being. Prominent Islamic scholars such as Al-Ghazali and Ibnu Sina contributed significantly to understanding human nature through concepts like nafs (self) and qalb (heart). Methodologically, Western psychology relies on empirical research, experiments, and observable data, while Islamic psychology combines rationality, spiritual practices, and reflection, emphasizing divine guidance as the ultimate source of knowledge. Findings suggest that integrating these approaches can provide a comprehensive framework for addressing psychological challenges, particularly in multicultural societies like Indonesia, where spiritual values are deeply embedded. This synthesis offers valuable insights into promoting mental and spiritual well-being, highlighting the importance of aligning scientific advancements with ethical and spiritual considerations. The study concludes that a collaborative approach between Western and Islamic psychology fosters a deeper understanding of human nature and offers practical solutions for enhancing individual and societal well-being
Implicature in Radiohead’s Album OK Computer’s Lyrics
This study investigates the use of implicature in the lyrics of Radiohead’s album OK Computer within the broader field of pragmatics, emphasizing how meaning is constructed beyond literal interpretation in artistic discourse. The study aims to identify the types of implicature present in the album and to explain how implied meanings are generated through linguistic choices in song lyrics. Grounded in H. P. Grice’s theory of conversational implicature and the Cooperative Principle, this qualitative research analyzes eight selected songs from OK Computer: “Airbag,” “Paranoid Android,” “Subterranean Homesick Alien,” “Let Down,” “Karma Police,” “No Surprises,” “Climbing Up the Walls,” and “Lucky.” The analysis focuses on the observance and flouting of Grice’s maxims of Quantity, Quality, Relation, and Manner to uncover implicit meanings embedded in the lyrics. The findings reveal a total of 85 implicatures, consisting of 83 conversational implicatures and 2 conventional implicatures, indicating that conversational implicature is the dominant strategy employed throughout the album. Songs such as “Climbing Up the Walls,” “Airbag,” and “Let Down” show a high frequency of implicature, reflecting themes of fear, alienation, technological anxiety, and emotional vulnerability. In conclusion, the study demonstrates that implicature functions as a central pragmatic device in OK Computer, enabling Radiohead to communicate complex emotional and social meanings while maintaining poetic subtlety and interpretive openness.
Compliance of Teaching Material Components with Educational Standards
This study aims to assess the suitability of teaching material components to national education standards through a literature review approach. Teaching materials are a crucial instrument in the learning process, serving not only as a medium for delivering content but also as a bridge between the curriculum and classroom practice. However, in the field, teaching materials are still found to be not fully structured according to national standards, both in terms of content, delivery strategies, and evaluation. Through a literature analysis, this study found that the ideal structure of teaching materials includes components such as learning objectives, materials, learning activities, evaluation, media, and character values, all of which must be arranged coherently and contextually. Recommended approaches to teaching material development include scientific, competency-based, differentiation, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL). In addition, the use of digital technologies such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and interactive multimedia also enriches the components of teaching materials to make them more adaptive and engaging. This study also identified real challenges in teaching material development, including limited teacher training, inadequate facilities, and low digital literacy. Therefore, strategies are recommended to enhance teacher competency, foster collaboration among educators, facilitate continuous evaluation, and strengthen support from the government and educational institutions. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for teachers, curriculum developers, and policymakers in creating quality teaching materials that are relevant to today\u27s learning dynamics
The Institutionalisation and Commodification of the Mushaf Al-Qur\u27an in Indonesia: An Analysis of the Business Practices of Syaamil Quran
This study examines the institutionalization and commodification of the Qur’anic mushaf within the business practices of Syaamil Quran in Indonesia, and explores how the sacredness of the text is continuously negotiated within contemporary market dynamics. Theoretical perspectives include Marx’s theory of commodification, Mosco’s content commodification, Baudrillard’s sign-value, Bourdieu’s symbolic capital, and Gauthier’s concept of spiritual capitalism. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The study focuses on product innovation, aesthetic design, personalization, pedagogical features, and the construction of religious legitimacy within Syaamil’s publishing model. Findings reveal that the mushaf has evolved into a hybrid entity—simultaneously sacred and commodified—functioning not only as a religious text, but also as a cultural artifact, identity marker, and symbolic commodity. The principal challenge identified is the risk of commodity fetishism, in which aesthetic form and prestige may overshadow deeper spiritual engagement. This study recommends reinforcing ethical governance in religious publishing and sustaining collaboration with Islamic scholars to preserve the Qur’an’s transformative function in society. This study contributes to the field of religion and political economy by positioning the Qur’anic mushaf as an emergent site of negotiation between sacred meaning and capitalist rationality, offering a critical model for understanding religious publishing in modern Muslim societies
Monetary Dynamics: Comparative Analysis of the Dual Policies of Malaysia and Indonesia
Economic stability is a key indicator of macroeconomic health, directly influenced by the effectiveness of monetary policies implemented by national authorities. This study investigates the monetary dynamics and the impact of dual monetary policies on economic stability in Malaysia and Indonesia. Dual monetary policy involves the simultaneous application of both conventional and sharia-based instruments to achieve macroeconomic objectives such as price stability, economic growth, and inflation control. The study employs Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (SEM-PLS) with Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) to compare the effectiveness of these policies between the two countries using quarterly data from 2016 to 2024. The results indicate that dual monetary policies significantly influence economic stability in both countries, albeit with different leading instruments. In Indonesia, the Minimum Reserve Requirement (GWM) is the most influential component, while in Malaysia, the Discount Rate holds the most weight. However, no statistically significant differences were found between the two contexts. These findings highlight the strategic importance of integrating conventional and sharia-based instruments to enhance economic resilience in dual financial systems
How Do Switching Boredom, Commitment Mix, and Attractiveness Influence Cinema Viewers’ Intentions to Switch in Indonesian Theaters? Attractiveness On Switching Intention
This paper examines the determinants of cinema viewers’ switching intention in Indonesia, with a focus on switching boredom, service commitment mix, and switching attractiveness. The study is motivated by the increasing competition in the entertainment industry, where audience preferences are dynamic and switching behavior is common. The central problem addressed is why cinema customers decide to switch despite existing commitments, raising the research question: How do switching boredom, service commitment mix, and switching attractiveness influence cinema viewers’ switching intentions in Indonesian theaters? Unlike previous studies that treat commitment as a switching barrier, this paper reveals that service commitment may not prevent switching when its affective, cognitive, normative, and conative components fail to engage customers. This nuance highlights a gap in the literature on customer behavior in the entertainment sector. The study employs a quantitative approach using structured online questionnaires distributed to 200 cinema-goers, selected through purposive non-probability sampling. The data were analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that switching boredom, service commitment mix, and switching attractiveness significantly and positively affect switching intention. Moreover, boredom and attractiveness have a reinforcing linear relationship that intensifies switching behavior. The findings suggest that cinema operators need to mitigate customer boredom and enhance perceived value through innovation and personalized engagement. The study contributes to the understanding of switching behavior in experience-driven services and offers practical implications for sustaining audience loyalty in competitive markets
IMPROVING CORPORATE SUSTAINABILITY THROUGH IMPLEMENTING GREEN ACCOUNTING AND MATERIAL FLOW COST ACCOUNTING
This study aims to analyse how the implementation of green accounting and material flow cost accounting (MFCA) can enhance corporate sustainability in mining companies listed on the Indonesian Sharia Stock Index (ISSI). Green accounting is measured through the PROPER program, while MFCA is proxied by factory area and production output. The study uses a quantitative approach and purposive sampling from companies listed on the ISSI for the 2021-2023 period. The results show that green accounting does not have a significant effect on improving corporate sustainability. MFCA, measured by factory area, shows no significant relationship in improving corporate sustainability. In contrast, MFCA, proxied by production output, has a significant positive effect on corporate sustainability. Meanwhile, green accounting and MFCA have a substantial impact on improving corporate sustainability. The study\u27s results indicate that the simultaneous approach is more effective at supporting sustainability. The synergy between green accounting and MFCA helps companies formulate sustainable business strategies by ensuring compliance, thereby driving innovation and competitive advantage through transparency, environmental accountability, resource efficiency, and waste reduction
