Challenges facing the development of folklore tourism in Bulgaria
Get PDFThe rich cultural heritage and resource potential on the territory of Bulgaria, combined with the tendency for greater demand and interest in cultural events, in particular folklore, are the main motive for writing this article. Folklore tourism is a relatively new and not well-known specialized type of tourism, but thanks to the growing interest in folklore events, its popularization and development have a significant role in the diversification of the country's tourist product. Bulgaria is defined as one of the countries with the richest folklore in the world and has an untapped potential for creating a competitive product on the world tourist markets. By increasing the competitiveness of Bulgaria as a destination for folklore tourism based on the intangible cultural heritage, it will positively affect not only the development of the sector in the country, but also the economic condition of the regions in which it is practiced

Digital reload of the food vouchers
Get PDFIn 2024, in Bulgaria, the popular tool for additional motivation of employed persons through food vouchers undergoes a significant transformation of its existence, from a traditional paper form to a digital expression. In this way, the state demonstrates its progress towards digitization and implementation of the e-governance concept. Of course, this electronic stage becomes achievable when the widespread adoption of food vouchers, mass use of digital technologies and cashless payment forms are simultaneously combined, allowing the transition to electronic food vouchers. The article examines the normative prerequisites, advantages and disadvantages of the mass introduction of electronic food vouchers in Bulgaria and their popularization as a tool for additional motivation of the labor factor in modern market conditions

Digital convenience in physical stores
Get PDFRetail trade is investing in new technologies to attract consumers, adapting to changes in their understanding of convenience at each stage of the customer journey. The integration of online and offline sales leads to the development of omnichannel commerce, including implementing digital technologies in the physical space or the so-called phygital retailing. Providing digital convenience in the physical stores is part of adaptive omnichannel retailing. It offers flexibility to phygital consumers, who don’t draw a distinction between the physical and digital worlds to shop online, offline or via mobile apps, anytime and anywhere. The purpose of the article is to explore the investment in the construction and alteration of buildings, machinery, and equipment in retail in Bulgaria compared to EU and to explain phygital retailing – creating digital convenience in physical retailing as a part of metamarketing. A theoretical and descriptive statistical analysis was applied. The data from Eurostat, the National Statistical Institute in Bulgaria, and Euromonitor cover the period between the financial and economic crises in 2007 and the crisis in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic from 2020 till 2022
Digitalization in the hotel business: Problems and opportunities in the implementation of cloud PMS in Bulgaria
Get PDFThis study examines the adoption of cloud-based Property Management Systems (PMS) in the Bulgarian hospitality industry, emphasizing the benefits and challenges of implementing these technologies. The research explores the perceptions of hotel owners and managers regarding cloud PMS solutions, using surveys and interviews with 250 properties across different categories. Key findings highlight that cloud-based systems enhance operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, and revenue management, but adoption is hindered by resistance to change and lack of training. The study applies Lewin's change management model to illustrate the transformation stages hotels undergo when transitioning to cloud solutions. Recommendations are provided for smoother adaptation, ensuring competitive advantages and sustainable growth

It is fundamentally constituted by interactive equilibriums involving diverse molecules, unbound ions and radicals/radiations (transiently generated or incident) that comprise the system. Ubiquitous and forming the crux of ecological and physiological processes, murburn also poses application potentials in green chemistry. Multimarker models and risk stratification algorithms for ovarian cancer in women with adnexal masses
Get PDFOvarian cancer is the fifth most common cause of cancer-related mortality in women. The main reason is the delayed diagnosis, which limits therapeutic options. There is still no sufficiently reliable screening algorithm for early stratification of high-risk patients and timely referral to specialized oncology centers. There has been ongoing extensive two-decade long research on various protein signatures, multimarker panels, scoring systems, and algorithms combining clinical, biochemical, and imaging data to identify an optimal approach for a sensitive and specific method for early detection of ovarian cancer. This review presents up-to-date information on available multimarker models and discusses their diagnostic sensitivity and specificity for reliable clinical application.
