Bibliometric Analysis of Critical Thinking Skills and Growth Mindset through Project-Based Learning

    No full text
Significant changes in contemporary education require instructional approaches that can effectively foster critical thinking skills and a growth mindset, particularly among Generation Z learners. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) has been widely recognized as a student-centered pedagogical model that promotes active engagement, problem-solving, and higher-order thinking. This study aims to examine research trends related to the implementation of PjBL in developing students’ critical thinking skills and growth mindset through a bibliometric analysis. Data were collected from relevant scholarly publications and analyzed using VOSviewer to visualize research patterns and thematic relationships. The findings indicate that PjBL is strongly associated with the development of critical thinking skills, while its connection with growth mindset remains comparatively underexplored. These results highlight a research gap in the integration of cognitive and motivational constructs within PjBL studies and suggest directions for future research to strengthen the pedagogical impact of project-based learning in 21st-century education. Further studies are needed to explore how PjBL can be effectively designed to promote both cognitive skills and a growth mindset simultaneously. Bridging this gap will provide valuable insights for educators seeking to maximize the potential of PjBL in fostering holistic student development

If The World Were Without Religion, Would There Still Be Conflict Among Us? (A Philosophical Investigation Into The Relationship Between Religion And Conflict)

    No full text
Religion and conflict are two things that have long appeared in human life. The inevitability between both cannot be separated. But in the next step, many parties then positioned religion as the source of the emergence of major conflicts in human civilization. A number of conflicts with religious nuances have made a number of parties' views even more cynical about religion. There were even some scholars who presupposed the absence of religion on earth so that painful conflicts in history would never occur. Through the results of an investigation of literature studies, this article tries to answer how the relationship between the two is in human life. Answering questions about does religion really create conflict? What if religion doesn't exist, will bloody conflicts still occur? The results of the study show that the presence or absence of religion has nothing to do with the presence or absence of conflict in human life. Even though religion can give birth to conflict, on the other hand religion also plays a role as a conflict mediator. Even the absence of religion does not guarantee that humans will never have conflicts. That way, the key is to strengthen awareness of tolerance among religious communities so that human life can become more harmonious and even though conflicts cannot be avoided, through the awareness of tolerance conflicts can be resolved peacefully and wisely.

Coalition and Opposition in the Perspective of Islamic Party Elites in Lampung: A Maslahah Based Analysis

    No full text
This study seeks to answer a central question concerning the moral and ethical boundaries for political parties that supported losing candidates in determining whether to join the ruling coalition or remain in opposition particularly when they had previously taken a strong stance against the candidate who is now in power. The discourse on coalition and opposition has been resurfaced and is frequently associated with ethical considerations in political practice. Parties that choose to join the government generally justify their decision based on maslahah murlahan as a means of promoting public welfare, while those that remain in opposition view the maintenance of checks and balances as another form of maslahat that must be upheld. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytic character, using a maslahat-weighing framework based on the perspectives of Islamic party elites in Lampung Province. Primary data were obtained through in-depth interviews with six informants, namely provincial-level elites from the NasDem Party, PKB, and PKS. Secondary data were collected from documents, classical fiqh and ulus fiqh literature, and Islamic political studies. Data analysis was conducted through stages of data reduction, thematic categorization, data presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that both coalition and opposition represent legitimate political choices within a democratic system and are equally grounded in pragmatics as well as benefit considerations. Their distinction lies in the moral boundaries and social propriety aimed at public interest. Therefore, it is acceptable for coalition parties to occasionally reject government policies if they are deemed inconsistent with public benefit, just as opposition parties are not obliged to reject every outright government policy

Viral Iced Tea Vendor Sunhaji Content and Poverty Commodification through Media Framing on Digital Platforms

    No full text
The viral phenomenon of poverty content on social media indicates a commodification practice that exploits vulnerability narratives as a new economic resource. This study aims to analyze how poverty is framed in the viral content of Mr. Sunhaji's iced tea vendors circulating on TikTok and YouTube, and how the process of commodification is interpreted in the production and circulation of this content. The research uses a qualitative approach with Robert Entman's framing analysis and Vincent Mosco's political economy of media perspective. Data was collected through content observation, documentation, and tracking online interactions from December 2024 to March 2025. The research findings indicate that poverty is constructed through the frames of empathy, injustice, and inspiration, which simultaneously strengthen the emotional appeal to drive engagement. This narrative was then commodified through content monetization by creators, increased visibility by the media, and expanded public participation in the form of donations and content reuse. The findings indicate that digital platforms transform representations of poverty into commodities that generate symbolic and material economic benefits and the need for critical media literacy regarding the practice of commodifying vulnerability in the digital ecosystem. No full text
This study investigates the correlation between emotional intelligence (EQ) and the ability to memorize the Qur’an among students of MTsS Dayah Insan Qur’ani Aceh Besar. The study addresses the lack of empirical research examining non-cognitive factors that influence Qur’anic memorization success in Islamic education. Using a correlational quantitative approach, data was collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation from 35 tahfidz students, representing 20% of the total population of 176 students. Based on the results of random sampling, the selected sample came from grades VIII and IX who were active in tahfidz and muroja'ah activities. Descriptive results show that students’ emotional intelligence and Qur’an memorization ability are generally in the moderate category. Reliability testing indicated high internal consistency (EQ scale α = 0.886; memorization scale α = 0.871). Pearson’s correlation analysis produced a strong positive relationship (r = 0.694, p < 0.01), indicating that students with higher EQ tend to achieve more extensive memorization. Practically speaking, the results of this study recommend that teachers in tahfidz learning integrate and strengthen the development of students' emotional aspects along with cognitive training so that the target of memorizing the Qur'an can be achieved optimally. This finding reinforces the understanding that emotional intelligence plays a significant role in the success of tahfidz-based Islamic education

Comparative Study of Curriculum Management Models Between Islamic Educational Institutions and General Educational Institutions

    No full text
This study aims to analyze the comparative curriculum management models between Islamic educational institutions and public educational institutions within the context of the national education system in Indonesia. The main focus of this study is to identify the similarities, differences, strengths, and weaknesses of the two curriculum management models. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with literature review and observation of curriculum management practices in madrasas and public schools. The results show that both madrasas and public schools have curriculum management structures that follow national standards, but madrasas integrate Islamic religious values into all aspects of learning. Madrasas tend to emphasize the spiritual, moral, and character dimensions of Islam through a curriculum based on the integration of religious and general knowledge. Meanwhile, public schools focus more on mastering academic competencies and practical skills as stipulated in the independent curriculum policy. The strength of madrasah curriculum management lies in the development of strong morals and religious values, while its weakness is limited innovation in the application of technology and contextual learning. In contrast, public schools excel in implementing adaptive learning models and digitalization, but face challenges in strengthening students' spiritual character. This study confirms that synergy between curriculum management models in madrasas and public schools can be an ideal solution for creating a holistic curriculum, balancing religious values and academic competencies. Therefore, the results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for policymakers, educators, and curriculum developers in optimizing curriculum management that is relevant to the needs of the 21st century

    No full text
Protein sequence data analysis is a fundamental task in bioinformatics, supporting the exploration of biological variations and the identification of functional relationships among proteins. This study presents a performance analysis of four clustering algorithms, which include Balanced Iterative Reducing and Clustering using Hierarchies (BIRCH), Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise (DBSCAN), Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering, and Spectral Clustering, applied to protein sequence datasets. Feature extraction was conducted using the Discere package in Python, generating 27 numerical attributes from protein sequences. The optimal number of clusters for BIRCH, Agglomerative, and Spectral Clustering was determined using the Elbow method, while DBSCAN parameters (MinPts, Eps) were tuned using the sorted k-distance plot. Clustering performance was assessed using the Silhouette Score. Among the algorithms, DBSCAN produced the highest silhouette score of 0.8105, whereas BIRCH achieved a strong balance between clustering quality, with a score of 0.7405, and computational efficiency. Agglomerative clustering provided moderate results with a score of 0.6779, while Spectral clustering yielded the lowest score of 0.6310 but demonstrated flexibility in capturing complex structures. These findings provide a benchmark comparison of clustering methods for protein sequence data, offering practical insights into algorithm selection based on data characteristics and performance trade-offs

A comparative study of poisson and negative binomial regression models on economic growth in Bali Province

    No full text
Economic growth is the main indicator of regional development success and is measured through Gross Regional Domestic Product (GDP). This study aims to determine the best model in explaining the factors that affect economic growth in Bali Province in 2023 using Poisson regression and Negative Binomial regression. Secondary data were obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), with GDP response variables and predictor variables including labor force participation rate, open unemployment rate, foreign investment, population density, and literacy rate. The results of the analysis showed that the Poisson model was over dispersed, so the Negative Binomial model gave results that were more in line with the Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) value of 174.572. Economically, increasing labor force participation and foreign investment have a positive effect on GDP, while increasing unemployment and low literacy rates reduce economic growth. Thus, the Negative Binomial regression model is considered more appropriate to explain the variation in economic growth in Bali Province because it is able to handle overdispersion and provide more stable estimation results

Higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) and decision-making skills are essential competencies in physics learning. Therefore, innovative learning materials such as problem-based e-worksheets are required. This study aims to develop a problem-based e-worksheet for differentiated learning that meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness in improving students’ HOTS and decision-making skills. The study employed a mixed-methods approach with a sequential exploratory design and a static pretest–posttest design. Preliminary research was conducted to identify differences in students’ abilities and learning styles as the basis for designing the e-worksheet. The development stage involved creating e-worksheets and teaching modules, followed by product validation and field testing. The field test involved 60 senior high school students in Bandar Lampung, selected using cluster random sampling. The results showed that the problem-based e-worksheet achieved very high validity, with content and construct validation scores of 4.69 and 4.82. The e-worksheet also demonstrated high practicality, with implementation rates exceeding 80% and positive student responses. Furthermore, it was effective in improving HOTS with an n-gain of 0.76 and decision-making skills with an n-gain of 0.83. These findings indicate that problem-based e-worksheets are effective learning media for strengthening students’ thinking and decision-making skills in physics learning
