Maqasid al-Shariʿah and Digital Forensics: Towards a Fiqh-Based Evidentiary Model in Syariah Criminal Justice
The development of the form and modus operandi of Shariah crimes in Malaysia has exposed the weaknesses of the traditional Shariah evidentiary framework. The absence of physical evidence in crimes committed in the digital environment makes reliance on digital evidence a necessity. Accordingly, the objective of this study is to examine the need and legal validity of integrating digital forensic evidence in Shariah criminal proceedings, with a particular focus on taʿzīr offences, based on the role of Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah. This qualitative study adopted document analysis as a research method . The data are evaluated using inductive and deductive approaches through the application of qualitative content analysis. The data were also analysed using a maqāsid-based framework to evaluate the compatibility of digital forensics with Syariah evidentiary principles. The findings reveal that when digital evidence meets established standards of reliability, authenticity and procedural integrity, it can serve as a credible and admissible means of proof in Syariah criminal proceedings. The integration of evidence based on the Maqāṣid al-Sharīʿah framework complements Islamic evidentiary methods and demonstrates the ability of fiqh to adapt to the reality of technology-based crime. This study concludes that the coordination of digital forensics with the maqāsid of Islamic law is an essential requirement for developing a fiqh-based evidentiary model that ensures that the Syariah Court remains doctrinally grounded and procedurally prepared in handling contemporary criminal case

Internalization of National Insight in Preventing the Spread of Radicalism: A Study of the Khilafatul Muslimin Group in Lampung Province
The spread of transnational ideology-based radicalism poses a serious challenge to the ideological resilience and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), including in Lampung Province. The Khilafatul Muslimin group is one of the religious groups that carries an alternative ideological narrative that has the potential to weaken national insight. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the process of internalizing national insight as a strategy to prevent the spread of radicalism within the Khilafatul Muslimin group in Lampung Province. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews with key informants, observation, documentation studies, and relevant literature reviews. Data analysis was conducted thematically through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that internalization of national insight is effective when implemented through a persuasive, dialogical, and sustainable approach that involves state and social actors collaboratively. The integration between the socialization of state ideology and the Islamic community development approach has proven capable of building inclusive ideological awareness, strengthening ideological resilience, and encouraging the transformation of religious understanding in line with Pancasila and the NKRI. The novelty of this research lies in the findings of a model of internalization of national insight based on community participation, the role model of religious figures, and the strategic role of former members of radical groups as agents of change in preventing radicalism that is more humanistic and sustainable
Profiles of mathematical identity among prospective mathematics teachers: A qualitative case study across mathematical ability levels
Purpose: This study aims to explore how prospective mathematics teachers construct their mathematical identity at different levels of mathematical ability. The research focuses on five key components of mathematical identity: interest, recognition, competence, performance, and belief about the nature of mathematics, and examines how these dimensions interact to shape teachers’ self-perception and readiness for professional practice.
Method: A qualitative case study design was employed involving 46 undergraduate students from Mathematics Education programs in the Surakarta region, Indonesia. Three participants representing high, medium, and low mathematical ability levels were purposively selected for in-depth analysis. Data were collected through a non-routine mathematics test, a mathematical identity questionnaire, and semi-structured interviews. The analysis followed the Miles and Huberman interactive model through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by method triangulation for validity.
Finding: The findings reveal variations in the formation of mathematical identity across ability levels. High-ability students demonstrated strong and stable identities characterized by internalized motivation, balanced recognition, and reflective competence. Medium-ability students showed partially developed identities influenced by contextual and social factors, while low-ability students exhibited fragile identities shaped by external motivation yet showed emerging reflective awareness.
Significance: These findings highlight that mathematical identity develops dynamically through the interaction of cognitive ability, reflection, and social validation. The study emphasizes the need for identity-oriented pedagogical interventions such as guided reflection, peer teaching, and mentoring to strengthen reflective engagement and intrinsic motivation among prospective mathematics teachers.

Coffee in the Imagination of Arabic Poetry: A Linguistic and Cultural Symbolism Study
The growing scholarly interest in cultural symbolism in literature indicates that everyday objects are increasingly interpreted as constructions of identity, spirituality, and affective expression. In the context of Arabic poetry, coffee emerges as a symbol whose meaning expands beyond its material function to become an aesthetic, existential, and mystical representation within poetic imagination. This study examines the symbolism of coffee in Arabic poetry as a complex semantic field encompassing spiritual, affective, and existential dimensions. Employing a linguistic-semantic and semiotic approach, this research demonstrates that coffee in poetry is not merely a cultural object, but a symbolic construct that shapes poets’ experiences of love, ecstasy, loss, and identity. The critical discussion related these findings to Roland Barthes’ theory of mythology (1972), Lakoff and Johnson’s conceptual metaphor theory (1980), and Homi Bhabha’s concept of liminal space (1994). This study demonstrated that Arabic poetry does not merely reflect culture, but actively produces new meanings through the symbolization of several objects. Coffee, in this sense, becomes a point of convergence between spirituality and the profane world, between body and language, and between memory and resistance. The primary contribution of this study lies in its assertion that everyday objects in poetry can function as symbolic axes of civilization. Accordingly, Arabic poetry may be read as a linguistic and cultural laboratory in which human experience is encoded, negotiated, and interpreted through language

The research is motivated by the absence of standardized professional criteria for Qur’anic educators, which has contributed to inconsistent teaching practices, instructional challenges, and varying interpretive outcomes among students. The study aims to (1) identify the key factors that influence Qur’anic teachers’ performance and (2) explore the strategies implemented by school leaders to enhance instructional quality. Using a qualitative design, data were gathered through interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving Qur’anic teachers, students, and institutional administrators. The credibility of the data was strengthened through prolonged engagement, persistent observation, and methodological triangulation. The findings indicate that effective Qur’anic teaching performance is demonstrated through strong content mastery, the application of appropriate pedagogical strategies, and the ability to address students’ inquiries using reliable scholarly sources. The study highlights the importance of clearly defined performance standards and targeted professional development initiatives in enhancing the overall quality of Qur’anic education
Need Analysis for Ecological Consciousness to Improve Metacognitive Awareness for Students in Islamic Learning
This study explores the integration of ecotheology into Islamic Religious Education (PAI) to enhance metacognitive awareness among students. Given the increasing ecological crisis, particularly in Indonesia, this research addresses the gap between students' cognitive understanding of environmental issues and their moral responsibility towards nature. Using a qualitative approach, interviews were conducted with 94 12th-grade students at MAN 2 Tanah Datar, West Sumatra, to assess their needs for combining ecological consciousness with metacognitive skills. The findings indicate that 71.5% of students require integrative knowledge that merges ecological awareness with metacognitive strategies. In comparison, 55.5% express the need for structured learning steps and regulations to effectively connect these areas. The results suggest that a two-month learning process is necessary to cultivate meaningful metacognitive understanding through ecotheological integration. This study highlights the importance of fostering reflective thinking and self-regulation in students to bridge the gap between theoretical ecological knowledge and real-life behaviors. However, the study is limited by its focus on a single institution and the use of only two metacognitive indicators. Future research should expand to include a broader range of metacognitive aspects and explore the integration of ecotheology in diverse educational settings to enhance students' ecological consciousness and critical thinking skills
Religious Moderation Education as a Means to Prevent Bullying in Schools
This study aims to examine the role of religious moderation education in preventing bullying in schools. A qualitative approach was used, employing observation techniques at a vocational school in Central Java. The study focused on the concept of religious moderation within the school, the learning process, and the integration of moderate values, mindsets, and attitudes. Data were collected through interviews with six respondents, including the school principal, two guidance counselors, an Islamic education teacher, two students, and from school documents such as annual activity reports and teaching modules. Data analysis was conducted qualitatively, using triangulation of sources and techniques, which involved comparing and validating data from various sources (school principal, guidance counselors, Islamic education teacher, students) and school documents to ensure the validity and consistency of the findings. The results of the study reveal that the strategy of instilling religious moderation was implemented through teacher role modeling, the integration of values such as tolerance, justice, and anti-violence in lessons, daily religious activities, student empowerment as agents of change through the Roots Indonesia program, and cross-curricular collaboration. This strategy contributed to creating an inclusive school climate and significantly reduced incidents of verbal bullying. The findings indicate that the implementation of religious moderation values in school education is effective in reducing bullying behaviors and fostering a more inclusive, tolerant, and diverse learning environment
