Jordan (θ, θ)*- Derivation Pairs of Rings With Involution

    Get PDF
Let  R be a 6-torsion  free ring with involution , θ  is a mapping of R and let (d,g) : R→R be an additive mapping . In this paper  we will give the relation between (θ, θ)*-derivation pair and Jordan (θ, θ)*-derivation pair . Also , we will prove that if (d,g) is a Jordan (θ, θ)*-derivation pair , then d is a Jordan (θ, θ)*-derivation

Stagnation point flow of a MHD Powell-Eyring fluid over a nonlinearly stretching sheet in the presence of heat source/sink

    Get PDF
This study investigates the stagnation point flow of a MHD Powell-Eyring fluid over a nonlinearly stretching sheet in the presence of heat source/sink. Similarity transformations are used to convert highly non-linear partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations. The transformed nonlinear boundary layer equations are then solved numerically using Keller Box method. The effects of various physical parameters on the dimensionless velocity and temperature profiles are depicted graphically. Present results are compared with previously published work and the results are found to be in very good agreement. Numerical results for local skin-friction and local Nusselt number are tabulated for different physical parameters

The behavior of the zeros of analytic functions of finite quantum systems with physical Hamiltonians

    Get PDF
The paper contains an investigation of the behavior of the Zeros of analytic theta functions. We have considered briefly an analytic representation of finite quantum systems ZN. We note that analytic functions on a torus have exactly N zeros. A brief introduction to the zeros of analytic functions and their time evolution is given. We discuss the periodic finite quantum systems. Then we introduce the time evolution of finite quantum systems with the evolution operators which reflect physical signicance. The general ideas are demonstrated with several examples

Moufang Loops of Odd Order p1^3p2^3....pn^3 .

    In [10], all Moufang loops of order p3q3 where p and q are odd  primes with p<q, were shown to be associative if and only if q≢ 1(modp). In this paper, we generalize this result to Moufang loops of order p31, p32...p3n  for distinct odd primes p1 ,p2.....pn with pi ≢ 1(modpj ) for every i, j ∈ {1,2,...n}

GV-semigroups with their full subsemigroup lattices

    Get PDF
The main aim of this paper is to study GV-semigroups whose full subsemigroups form distributive lattices. A sufficient and necessary condition for GVsemigroups to have distributive lattices of full subsemigroups is given. In particular, the structure of completely regular semigroups whose full subsemigroup lattices are distributive is characterized

Leadership and Governance of Islamic Financial Institutions in Malaysia

    Get PDF
Some corporate failures such as Enron and WorldCom were due to mismanagement and frauds committed by the top management of the organization and even the external auditors. Leadership was cited as one of the factors that led to the collapse of Enron. The Islamic financial institutions discussed in this paper focuses on Islamic banking and Takaful sectors. In both sectors, the level of governance has not received an extensive coverage as most studies have the tendency to focus on the people’s perceptions and acceptance towards the respective sectors as well as its product offering. This paper incorporates two aspects; firstly, leadership from the theoretical perspective such as traits, behaviour, and contingency theory. Secondly, this paper also reviewed governance from the conventional practices as well as from the Islamic viewpoints. The final section of the paper presents the existing studies on leadership and governance and explains the significance of this study

Traditional Medicine Practices for the Treatment of Blood Pressure, Body Pain, Gastritis, Gonorrhea, Stomachic, Snake Bite and Urinary Problems of Santal Tribal Practitioners at the Village Jamtala of Chapai Nawabganj District, Bangladesh

Traditional medicine practices for the treatment of blood pressure, body pain, gastritis, gonorrhea, stomachic, snake bite and urinary problems of Santal tribal practitioners at the village Jamtala of Chapai Nawabganj district, Bangladesh was carried out. The information presented in this paper was gathered by field visit, participatory observation, group discussion and interviews with questionnaires in the year July 2013 to June 2015 after frequent field visit in the study area. A total of 38 ethno-medicinal climber species belonging to 31 families and 36 genera are documented in this study. The plants used for different purpose are listed with scientific name, common name, family; ethno-botanical importance and parts used. The investigation can be concluded that the plant can considered as a suitable source of pharmaceutical industry for new drug development

Impact of Biometric Attendance System in Higher Educational Institutes (HEIs) of India: A Perception Study of Stakeholders of Selected HEIs of Ranchi (India)

    Get PDF
The recent decade has become highly competitive with mushroom growth of Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) in India. These institutions need to prove themselves by rendering higher quality services and better productivity in highly competitive scenario. The faculty mebers and students are the two eminent stakeholders of the HEIs, and for the efficiency of the organizations, both set of stakeholders, i.e., faculty members’ and students’ active involvement in each and every facet of functioning is a must which demands discipline in attendance and honesty in involvement. HEIs today are thus introducing some system for monitoring or assessing quality and regularity of both the faculty members and students for increasing the productivity and efficiency. On this backdrop, the Bio-metric system of attendance both for the students and employees of HEIs has been thought of in recent times to make the stakeholders disciplined and task-oriented. Considering this, while it has been a matter of temptation to introduce the system, it has also been equally important to assess the impact after adopting the technology of the stakeholders for who the system is going to be put into action. Thus, this Paper has considered two HEIs of Ranchi (India) who have already introduced Biometric Attendance System (BAS), to assess the projected impact of new technology in increasing organization’s productivity and efficiency

Women, men and creativity in business sector – comparative studies of leading EU and ECE countries

    Get PDF
The main focus of the paper is innovativeness and creativity in gender perspective. The question asked is about the relation between gender, research and innovation. The paper is based on the data from European Patent Office (EPO) for years 1999-2013 concerning creative activities by women and men in business sector. For the purpose of the analysis, leading countries have been selected in terms of patent activities, which were then divided into two groups – 10 leading countries from the EU, and three leading countries from the transition economies. The main objective of the paper is to compare the dynamics of three variables: R&D expenditures, number of women and men employed as R&D personnel or researchers in business enterprise sector, number of women and men recognized in EPO database as inventors of patents that are employed in business sector

Asymmetric Game Analysis of China's Equipment Manufacturing Industry Hollowing-Out

    Get PDF
With the rapid development of global economic integration, industrial hollowing-out problem has been paid much attention by foreign and domestic scholars. Based on the current situation of China's equipment manufacturing industry, the asymmetric game model is created in this paper which integrates the strong multinational companies and the weak Chinese local companies into a united system. Considering the influence of two main factors affecting unit production cost, technology and production factor cost, importance is attached on analyzing equilibrium solutions of the asymmetric game between multinational company and Chinese local company in R&D stage and processing stage of global value chain, so as to explain the formation mechanism of China's equipment manufacturing industry hollowing-out. Suggestions for breaking through the hollowing-out obstacle are put forward accordingly
