Success Factors for SMES In the European Chemical Distribution Industry: A New Integrative Perspective
The European chemical distribution industry, despite its significant contribution to the economy and employment generation, remains largely unexplored with little research, both on an academic and industry level, in the factors contributing to SMEs success. With the majority of chemical distributors being small and medium-sized enterprises, this paper discusses the driving forces of the industry, arguing that only when a small business is able to cope with, adapt to and overcome these forces, can it be successful. Consequently, a number of factors are identified and a positive relationship with SMEs success is proposed. This paper informs thinking and research design and becomes the basis for future research in this field. It further offers a way forward for both practitioners and policy makers to support small and medium-sized European chemical distributors
An Investigation on the Evaluation of Employee Training and Development Programme at Company X
The aim of the study is to evaluate the current employee training and development programme at an information management company in Johannesburg in order to make recommendations to management for targeted training programmes. The company increased resources to enhance the functioning of all of their processes, practices and systems, including their training and development systems. Methods were sought to ensure that training and development was cost-justified and that training and development activities furthered the organisation’s goals by making all employees more productive. In 2012, training analysts and practitioners provided the training manager with several models and frameworks for best practices. However, few if any of these models were evaluated to determine if the elements of effective practice they describe do make a difference in the quality of training and development programmes. Most employees feel that they are trained just for the sake of settling the Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) scorecard. With the advent of these problems the study identified a gap in the evaluation of employee training and development programmes at the company and recommended to management the importance of developing effective training and development practices.
Impact of Innovation on the Relationship between Customer Relationship Management and Brand Equity in the Medical Tourism of Jordan
This study intends to investigate the direct and indirect relationship between customer relationship management and overall brand equity through technical innovation and non-technical innovation in medical tourism in Jordan. Data were gathered through field study among 384 medical tourists who have been treated in the five private hospitals in Amman, and the data were assessed using SPSS and AMOS. The outcomes indicate that, customer relationship management directly affects technical innovation, non-technical innovation, and overall brand equity. In addition, the only innovation type that directly affects overall brand equity is technical innovation. Furthermore, technical innovation and non-technical innovation have a full mediating role between customer relationship management and overall brand equity. This empirical study throws more light into the indirect effect of customer relationship management on overall brand equity, especially the role of technical innovation and non-technical innovation. The results offer a good opportunity for decision makers to take certain actions for innovating and enhancing overall brand equity

A computational solution of the multi-term nonlinear ODEs with variable coefficients using the integral-collocation-approach based on Legendre polynomials
The main aim of this work is devoted to propose and analyze some schemes of the integral collocation formulation dependent on Legendre polynomials. We introduce these formulae to solve the multi-term ODEs with variable coefficients. The proposed technique is used to reduce the given problem to solve a system of algebraic equations. Numerical results are given to satisfy the accuracy and the applicability of the implemented approach
Removing Diethylphthalate (DEP) from Water Systems using Zeolites and Mesoporous Materials
In order to remove diethylphthalate (DEP) molecules from water systems, zeolites of faujasite (FAU), ferrierite (FER), mordenite (MOR), and mesoporous silica (MCM-41) were employed in this study. 1H nuclear-magnetic-resonance (NMR) spectra showed that FAU was effective in eliminating DEP from aqueous solutions. In addition, solid-state 1H NMR spectra with a magic-angle-spinning (MAS) rate of 30 kHz revealed that a larger amount of DEP was adsorbed on FAUs with higher Si/Al ratios. Our NMR spectra also showed that a chemical shift of the signal assigned to water molecules adsorbed on the FAUs is linked to the amount of DEP adsorption. 1H MAS NMR spectra also revealed that DEP molecules prefer to adsorb on the four-membered ring site rather than the center or/and window of the supercage in FAUs. Since porous materials are frequently present in ground and water systems such as rivers, ponds, and lakes, this study also showed that DEP could adsorb onto soils in aquatic environments and remain in the water system for a long time

In both cases, the term is referenced to one year, with deposits in different periods and changing effective rates. The development of modeling used information got from official sources about interest rates. The result seeks to determine the most profitable scenario based on the interest rate and its capitalization
