Board Gender Diversity and Dividend Policy in SMEs: Moderating Role of Capital Structure in Emerging Market
Given the mix findings in literature regarding gender diversity and dividend policy, we suspected that capital structure is an intervening variable to moderate the relationship. This paper therefore examines the joint role of board gender diversity and capital structure of a firm; does it improve or weaken dividend policy. The study analyzed 2015 year data from 1,011 unlisted firms from Ghana. Structured questionnaire and published annual reports were used to obtain the required data for the study. The results indicate that the relationship between the interaction term and dividend policy is insignificant, hence capital structure does not moderate the relationship between board gender diversity and dividend policy. Policy makers should not blindly adopt initiative of gender equality from another country; instead they should carefully examine the influence of capital structure and the causality of relation before appointing more or less of females on corporate boards
Lexicographic Preferences, Rationality and the Fallacies of Behavioral Economics
In this paper the differences between traditional economic theory and the relatively newer behavioral economic theory, which is a blend of economics and psychology, is discussed. The traditional assumptions regarding consumer preferences are explained and elaborated upon. This includes reflexivity, completeness, transitivity and continuity. Auxiliary assumptions, such as local nonsatiation and strict convexity, regarding preferences are also introduced. Lexicographic preferences in a two good world are explicated and demonstrated to encompass rational behavior even though they do not generate a well defined utility function. If a consumer has lexicographic preferences behavioral economists can be mistaken in thinking that consumer behavior is irrational
Model and Analysis the Game Related To Economics Using Pure Strategy and Mixed Strategy: Evidence from Indonesia
The purpose of this paper is to construct model and analysis the game related to economics using pure strategy and mixed strategy. In this game, more than one people are involved and it proceeds as their preferences, every single strategic actions and the information are available to the other players. Each of these actions influence the outcome. Game theory deals with any problem in which each player strategy depends on what the other players do. This research uses the data from the conflict among the Central Government, Local Government, and WALHI (Indonesian environment forum) of Indonesiaโs haze pollution in Riau region. Analyzing preferences of each players using pure-mixed strategy, each playerโs preferences equilibrium met at central government delays to take any action regarding the haze pollution; local government modifies local regulation that can help reduce pollution; and WALHI does not protest because local government already wants to support them by modifying local regulation
U.S. Healthcare Industry: Cybersecurity Regulatory and Compliance Issues
The health care industry is one of the most vital areas of critical infrastructure in the United States. In recent years, the healthcare industry has faced a barrage of cyberattacks that have disputed vital services and exposed vast amounts of sensitive data. Federal regulations such as HIPPA and the HITECH act were designed to protect this sensitive data, but often are left open for interpretation. For example, HIPPA mandates the protection of personal health information but gives little guidance on how to do it properly. Even with regulatory mandates, the health care industry continues to struggle with complying with current regulations. Various factors such as budgetary constraints and the lack of cybersecurity professionals who understand the security needs of the health care industry affect compliance. Also within the health care industry, there are various sectors which are all governed by different sets of rules and regulations. This can create a level of confusion when trying to create a standard for the industry as a whole. The goal of this paper is to evaluate the current regulatory and compliance landscape of the U.S. health care system
Wa-Module

Value distribution of q-difference polynomials
In this paper, we deal with the zero distribution of q-difference polynomials ย and , where P(f) is a nonzero polynomial of degree l, ย is a constant, ย and a(z) is a small function of ย f
Some results on extended b-metric spaces and Pompeiu-Hausdorff metric.
In this paper we will show some new results about extended b- metric space. Given an extended b-metric space (X,d), we may define a new extended b- metric space with Pompeiu- Hausdorff metric H on the set H(X) of the collection of all nonempty compact subsets of X. We will show that if is a complete extended b- metric space then the Hausdorff extended b-metric space (H(X),H) is also complete
Lyapunov-type inequalities for fractional differential equations
The principal aim of this paper is to discuss Lyapunov-type inequalities for fractional differential equations with fractional boundary conditions. Some new Lyapunov's inequalities are established, which almost generalize and improve some earlier results in the literature
Vacuum crystalline structures in field presence: the unified field versatility
The quantum vacuum structure is essential when trying to understand its manifestations in experiments. In material sciences, its homogeneity and isotropy present cubic system properties. In this work is shown this evidence from a moving free particle relatively to the Helmholtz field definition. This represents both scalar and vector modes of a field. Its stationary states energy-location points out geometrical structures. Hence, it happens that the electromagnetic field organizes the vacuum cells as simple cubic systems; the gravitation organizes these as body-centred-cubic systems. The weak field models them as faced-centred-cubic systems and the strong field in peculiar cubic systems. The cubic lattice parameter appears proportional to the field wavelength. Those stationary states let quantizing fields according to 3-dimensions harmonic oscillators in field presence; in field absence, the vacuum is non-differentiated as the unified field is. Besides, the result analysis allows understanding qualitatively the Casimir effect origin from weak phonons associated to electrons within the field-particle duality framework. These particles become fundamental bosons at high energy physics. Owing to the space-time symmetry, the impulse quantization in time-space implies that dark-matter would only be detectable in 3-dimensions time as matter is in the real space
Social Background and Secretary Science Teaching in China
Secretary science teaching is a classic problem in China educational reforming in current times. There is a recognized need for the adjustment of teaching content, method and materials. Previous researches has indicated that the current secretary science education in China high schools is not satisfactory and the reforming secretary science education is needed. However, previous studies of such problem have not dealt with the social background of secretary science education in high schools. The aim of this study was to examine the relationship between the problem in secretary science education reforming and relevant social background. This study provides a novel approach to investigate the classic problem through the perspective of the relevant social background. Results showed that the common social understanding of so-called hidden rules about the secretary position caused the hindrance of the secretary science education reforming. The findings can contribute to a better understanding about the problem of secretary science education reforming and the so-called hidden rules.
