Speculative investment, heavy-tailed distribution and risk management of Bitcoin exchange rate returns
Since its launch in 2008, Bitcoin becomes one of the most successful and fast-growing alternative currencies. As of 2017, the market capitalization is around $46 billions and arguably expected to continue growing. The Bitcoin to the US dollar exchange rate has been very volatile and fluctuating significantly. Although Bitcoin was designed as a medium of exchange, it is now more as an investment tool and thus the development of effective quantitative risk management tools becomes quite urgent for all the market participants. In this paper, we investigate empirical distribution of the Bitcoin exchange rate returns by using four types of widely-used heavy-tailed distribution and show that the Skewed t distribution has the best empirical performance. We further calculate the VaR based risk measures and found the Skewed t distribution generates the VaR values, which are closest to historical VaR values. Our results could be directly used in the industry’s stress testing practice, and help financial institutions fulfill the regulatory requirements.
Study the Level and the Fluctuation of Induced Nitric Oxide Synthase in Iraqi Patients with Hypertension
The known NOS enzymes are generally alluded to as 'dimeric'in their dynamic shape, disregarding the required calmodulins (CaMs) which, entirely, mean they are tetramers (of two NOS) monomers related with two CaMs). This review included 56 subjects coordinated ages and sex separated into two groups; 28 hypertensive subjects and 28 healthy subjects as control group. The accompanying investigation was done: INOS was fundamentally higher in patients contrasted with controls while there were no noteworthy contrasts found in egg whites amongst patient and control gathering. Also, the expansion in iNOS in light of the fact that iNOS creates a lot of NO as a guard component because of cytokines and is an essential consider the reaction of the body to assault by parasites, bacterial contamination, and tumor development. It has been reasoned that is critical nappy on perfect weight, since heftiness considered principle variables for coronary illness and solidifying of the veins. There is a positive connection between oxidation comes about because of hypertension and their advancements. The point of this review was to examine the connection between of some oxidative anxiety markers and cardiovascular infections
Improvement of A Chemical Storage Room Ventilation System
Scientists at universities across Iraq are actively working to report actual incidents and accidents occurring in their laboratories, as well as structural improvements made to improve safety and security, to raise awareness and encourage openness, leading to widespread adoption of robust Chemical Safety and Security (CSS) practices. This manuscript is the third in a series of five case studies describing laboratory incidents, accidents, and laboratory improvements. We summarize an improvement to the chemical storage room ventilation system at Al-Nahrain University to create and maintain a safe working atmosphere in an area where chemicals are stored and handled, using US and European design practices, standards, and regulations
Evaluations of Reactions Cross Section of Radionuclide by Particles Induced Nuclear Reactions using Exifon Code
In this work the reaction cross section for the production radionuclide of and isotopesfrom bismuth-208 were calculated using EXIFON code in the energy range from 0 MeV to 30 MeV. The code is based on an analytical model for statistical multistep direct and multistep compound reactions (SMD/SMC model). The results obtained shows that production ofTlis not observed at this energy range because the interaction cross section is zero, and also the excitation functions for the production of Tl-205 and Tl-204 were obtained.
Turbulent and Convective Plasma and its Spatial Structuring Change Drastically the tay Radiative Transfer of Continuous and Discrete (in Lines) Radiation in Internal and External Star Layers
The problems of the radiation diffusion and the spectral line formation in turbulent-convective plasma are researched on the base of hydrogen plasma of solar active formations. All types of plasma motions such as micro and macro turbulent as well as the directed flows are researched on the background of atom thermal movements. The theory of the spectral line profiles for 3D-structures as the arch systems with intensity plasma flows has been created. The methods of radiation diffusion for homogeneous plasmas ерфе have been created earlier need to be reviewed, since the turbulent medium changes the length of free path of photons of radically. The introduction of the average factor of self-absorption enables us to have the efficient way of getting physically correct results
The origin of Gravity An attempt to answer this question with the help of existing concepts
In this document an attempt is made to explain the origin of gravity. The basis for the analysis is a merger of Quantum theory and Relativity. Nowhere in the analysis there is any need to deviate from well proven and successful concepts of both theories and rules of calculation, and no exotic new particles will have to be introduced. By doing so it is demonstrated that, next to its local interactions of a multi-particle system, the Schrödinger equation leads to pairs of two and only two members. This solution is used as the invariant term in the quantized Einstein energy equation which finally leads to gravitational interactions between members of the pairs. With this particular solution for the quantum-mechanical wave function it is found that gravity is a second order effect operating over a long range. In this document it is tried to give a complete and consistent account of all steps that have been taken in de derivation of the classical Newton’s law. Further the document emphasizes precise justification of some of the basic assumptions made and how it works out on a cosmological scale. It is also found that the generator of gravity is contributing mass to particles that have gravitational interaction. This contribution is therefore related to cosmological parameters and will be further evaluated
An analysis of attractiveness and ethics-related perception of banking advertisements among consumers in UAE
Objective: The objective of this study is to analyzefactors that influence the perception of banking newspaper advertisements and on the analysis of the content and the perception and attitudes of customers pointing to the process of cultural and ethical sense-making. The focus of the present study is on an enquiry into the different styles and appeal of the content of recent banking advertisement material coming in regional newspapers in UAE and its impact on the emotive and rational dimensions of perception among the United Arab Emirates nationals and expatriates in the UAE.Design and methodology: Quasi experimental design is used by collecting data from a small sample size of respondents by showing them 9 advertisements and asking them about their preferences and reasons for the same were used in the study. A qualitative method of analysis is used to identify the themes and categories of the content in the advertisements and perceptions of respondents. The first part of the study is done through an analysis of the content of advertisements published by a few large banks of the region in the last few months.Findings: Study found that there is preference for advertisements based on either emotive or rational cues of advertisement content. The categories that emerged were lifestyle, emotive, rational and inspirational. There are many research papers related to advertisement and its effect on intention to buy among consumers, but few are focused on banking or financial services and products. Contributions and implications of the study: Thus the study will be able to contribute to the field of marketing and advertisements knowledgerelated to banking advertisements which has not been covered much by earlier studies in United Arab Emirates.Limitations: Study is qualitative using a very small sample size.
Improving Data Integrity in Communication Systems by Designing a New Security Hash Algorithm
The objective of this paper is to design a new secure hash algorithm with final hash code length 512 bits. The proposed hash code algorithm based on the combination of SHA-256 algorithm -with modification in its message expansion- and MD5algorithm based on double-Davis-Mayer scheme to reduce the weakness existing in these functions. In this paper; we modified message expansion for SHA-256 in the proposed algorithm .By using MATLAB, The proposed algorithm has been simulated. And hash code for different messages is obtained using MD5, SHA-256, combination of MD5 and SHA-256 with final hash code length 265 bits algorithms and the proposed algorithm . Hash code of the proposed algorithm is different from hash code obtained by MD5, SHA-256 and combination of MD5 and SHA-256 with final hash code length 256 bits algorithms for the same messages. Avalanche test, with one bit difference and more than one bit difference, is applied toSHA-256, combination of MD5 and SHA-256 with final hash code length 256 bits and the proposed algorithm .The proposed algorithm passed avalanche test with higher probability than SHA-256 and combination of MD5 and SHA-256 with final hash code length 256 bit algorithms .The proposed algorithm is more complicated and more secure
Does In-Role Performance Mediate the Relationships between Performance Appraisal, Internal Communication and Customer Satisfaction
Palestinian insurance customers are not satisfied. 55% of them changed their companies in 3 years or less. 44% of customers are willing to switch and 30% of customers think that the perceived insurance services are below their expectations. Further, prior literature paid less attention to internal organizational factors contributing to customer satisfaction. This study is aiming to examine the impact of performance appraisal and internal communication on CS. and then test the mediating role of in-role performance between these variables. The findings revealed performance appraisal and internal communication have a direct effect on CS. furthermore, in-role performance plays a partial mediating role performance appraisal and internal communication respectively and CS. based on current study findings, insurance companies in Palestine have to give more attention to develop performance appraisal and internal communication to solve the current problems of CS
